Awesome professor. Made going to an 8am class tolerable and she really tried to keep the material interesting for everyone. Attendance isn't necessary, but if you go to class you do get extra credit. Assignments really help your grade and her exams are very fair. She almost did a one handed cartwheel on the last day of class but decided not to. :D

If you've taken ntdt200, know a thing or two about exercising, and pay attention to what Professor Eastep stresses in class, you will excel in this class. Some of the material is dry and redundant, but she tries to make it fun. Effort level was very low and I expect an A. Recommended.

go to class and get points for coming, do all of the extra credit opportunities, and review for the exam using her study guide the day before. i should have gotten a b but with all of her extra credit, i got an A

Eastep is the best! Attendance is key to get those clicker questions that she loves. Gives extra credit literally everyday. 3 multiple choice exams and a final. Tests weren't difficult at all if you pay attention and read the book. Best nutrition teacher to take by far!

She drops the lowest quiz & lowest test. There's a project and she gives clicker questions. But she gives extra credit every single day. If you're not a health science major, then the tests will be harder for you as they have so much material. 50 questions for a 1 chapter quiz, 75 for a 4 chapter test. Easy class, lots of info.

Very helpful and enjoys teaching the class and likes to know her students. Drops lowest quiz and gives plenty of extra credit opportunities during the year. Definitely take her NTDT200 if you need to

By far the best professor I've had and the most helpful, she wants to see you do well. Tests can be tough but she drops the lowest of 3. Go to class and participate in her little skits for extra credit. Easy A.

My favorite professor so far. She gives study guides, power points, extra credit and is very clear. 3 projects, 3 tests and clicker questions. If you're not a science person definitely take this class for an A or B.

Overall, she is a very nice lady and is very passionate about nutrition. The exams can be a little tricky, but if you use her little tips, you will be fine. I did just so-so on the exams and ended with an A. You will absolutely walk away from the class having learned something. Do not think this is an "easy" A though. You have to work for it a bit.

Best professor I've had at UD by far. Does 5-10 clicker questions every class to help check on learning. Does skits for additional help. Raising hand for a skit is extra credit. Study guides for every exam tell you EXACTLY what is on exam. Do the study guide, you will get at least a B. An A if you try. If you're a science person, this is an easy A!

Great professor! Genuinely wants you to do really well. Keep your notes ORGANIZED and actually read the chapters to do well on the exams. Online quizzes, clicker questions, and extra credit will help you out. Gives study guides for the exams..Always got an A or B on exams. Enjoyable class learned a lot!

SHE IS THE BEST PROFESSOR EVER. Her class is pretty straight forward. if you go to her lectures, pay attention, and participate for extra credit there is no way you could do poorly in the class. She is engaging and her class was fun!

Although nutrition has a lot of information, Eastep does not try to trick you on tests. Really sweet lady overall and would recommend 100%!

Exams are very straight forward and straight off her powerpoints. Attending class is crucial. She notices if you are there and will help you out with your final curve if you regularly attend class. Lots of extra credit opportunities. She isn't great about answering emails but is very helpful if you go to office hours.

Open note, open book final. Exams are relatively easy if you study. There's a lot of opportunity for extra credit during class. Basically, study smart, not hard, and do your assignments. It's an easy A or B, even if you get Cs or Ds on the exams.

This class was more work than it had to be, however, it was not challenging. Her tests are straight from the fill in the blanks off her power points. She gives so much extra credit and wants everyone to do well. She does a good job of explaining material and tries to make the difficult concepts clear.

Professor Eastep is such a nice lady. I loved her class because of how well she teaches. She is kind of fast-paced but will slow down if you just ask. Definitely take advantage of all the extra credit she gives out because the tests can be hard. I would definitely take another class with her again.

I absolutely loved Dr. Eastep. She cares about her students and is very smart, however, her class is VERY challenging. Her slides for each chapter are 150+ slides. The exams are all comprehension multiple choice questions that are not easy. Only take if you have to.

Prof. Eastep is such a caring and funny professor! Her lectures are very fast paced and it's best to use your laptop to take notes on the slides that she provides. She offers some extra credit opportunities and drops your lowest exam grade and quiz grade (which you take on Sakai). If the whole class gets a clicker question right, she cartwheels!

Prof. Eastep is the best. She wants to see every student pass. Her lectures are heavy but if you put in the effort, you would love your grade at the end of the semester. Go to her officer hours and use the study guides. Read a little bit around the study guide and you should be fine. I recommend her 100%.

She is spunky! She plays music in the beginning of class and creates a positive atmosphere. She is very smart and has long lecture, but she is an extremely good teacher. She uses interactive materials and also gets everyone in class to socialize. If you turn everything in and study hard for her exams, you will get an A :) also gives extra credit!

Eastep is a funny one. I love her as a person and she is easy to meet with. Her class is hard and assumes you remember everything vividly from NTDT200, which usually isnt the case. Gives lots of extra credit if you go to class. Drops your lowest exam. Overall do-able class.

The exams were fairly hard because they were application based. Many kids take this class as their science, lots of athletes, many did not do well so tons of extra credit was offered and the last few exams we could use a notecard. Other kids will fail due to not studying causing her to make it easier, so if you work hard easy A.

Had her for NTDT 250. This was my favorite class of the spring semester. Maryann teaches in a clear projective manner that stimulates my interest. Exams are pretty easy and straight forward. She gives extra credit here and there. A little bit of calculation in this class but just study your material, practice the worksheets and you'll do fine.

She is super nice and understandable with deadlines. She totally understands that students are humans and may need extra time or help with assignments. You should always go to class because she'll give extra clicker points if she notices not many people showed up! You only have a few exams, but she will get you well prepared for them!

I have had a hard time with nutrition in the past but when I took her class, I got a B in it. I failed every exam but because she gives so much homework, quizzes and extra credit, I did well. She wants everyone to pass and gives so much opportunity to do so. I would take her again.

All the information you need to know is on her powerpoint slides. I got an A and never opened the textbook.

Her lectures are very useful and practical. What ever you learn in this class comes handy in your future career; Lots of practical and hand-on learning opportunities; very respected person; easy exams.

She is a very nice person, and she has pretty good lectures. Sometimes it can get a bit boring because she over-explains things, but the class is very easy. There are outside assignments and extra credit opportunities, so getting an A is pretty attainable.

Prof Eastep is incredible and really cares about her students. Make sure you do the homework (yes there's a lot, but you'll find that it prepares you for class) and the nutrition blueprint!! She gives out extra credit all the time, take those opportunities because they're always fun and easy. Three non-cumulative exams + cumulative take-home final.

This semester has been online bc of covid. Lectures are posted to Canvas and assignments are to be completed at your own leisure as long as they're turned in by the end of the week (Sunday). Sooooo many extra credit opportunities. Eastep is super sweet and very knowledgeable. Watch the lectures and you'll get an A.

Professor Eastep was my favorite teacher so far! She makes sure you are engaged and she is super funny and sweet. The clicker questions definitely help you to stay on track. She makes it easy for you to pass and I would definitely take it again!

Soo much extra credit. Lecture attendance is optional and for extra credit. Assignments are relatively easy, and everything is open note. She starts every class playing pop music. Seriously so adorable and sweet. Insanely smart and will help you with anything you're struggling with. Put in some work and you will do just fine. Definitely recommend!

Her class structure is super easy to navigate, and the assignments are conducive to learning the material. She offers an incredible amount of extra credit opportunities to boost your grade. Take Professor Eastep you won't regret it!

Gives SO MANY opportunities for extra credit. Keeps the class engaged very well- power points are given but have blanks to fill in with the lecture. Very passionate about the topic and provides real world and personal examples.

Took the class for a breathe. It was mid. Exams are kinda hard and ask really specific questions to the textbook and some about lecture. You have to put in good amount of effort and study to do good on the exams. Wouldn't recommend if you want an easy A.

You really don't need to read the textbook because all of her PowerPoints have everything you need to know. Her lectures are engaging with visuals and lots of extra credit opportunities. All of the exams and quizzes were open notes, and there wasn't many assignments. I'm excited to apply what I've learned to my life! Great for a science credit.

Prof Eastep is a really great teacher. She is full of energy and makes lectures interesting. Be prepared for a fast pace environment with so many notes. Studying is very crucial to a good grade in this class.

Professor Eastep oversaw the community placement for this class and she was very accessible if you had any issues or concerns. She is very straightforward with assignments, but if you do not follow them precisely, you wont do well.

She is an overall great professor. She does offer many extra credit opportunities that are easy. Her exams are somewhat difficult and you need to study for them as it is a lot of information all at once. Be prepared for a lot of outside work with group projects all throughout the semester.

Professor Eastep is the sweetest lady ever! The class is structured with a progressive project that goes along side with lectures, with open-note exams and quizzes periodically. She gives extra credit all the time, so it makes up for the harsh-ish grading on the out of class assignments. Overall great class, would recommend.

Loved her! class has alot of grades outside of just the exams so it easy to do well. quizzes are open note. lots of fill in the blank powerpoint notes and pollev questions that are graded on accuracy. overall loves what she teaches and hands out super easy extra credit.

Eastep is a pretty good teacher-she has her own attitude and def has favorites in class but gives great extra credit and is super helpful in office hours. It is a lot of info and is lecture heavy and you'll have to put in the work to do well on exams, which can be difficult, but most hw is 100% if you finish it on time which helps.

Easily the best professor ive ever had! I was very scared after the first class just because she made it clear that this class would be very hard. If you pay attention, put in the work, and prove to her that you want to do well, this class will be a breeze! Very easy to pick up what she is putting on the exams if you pay attention!

I enjoyed Professor Eastep's class. I thought that the courseload was very manageable, and she frequently offers opportunities for extra credit, which raised 2 of my exam grades from a B to an A

She is a great teacher, however her lecture slides are extremely long and she goes very fast in class. She is very nice though and offers a lot of options for extra credit which is really helpful as nutrition content is difficult.

By far my favorite professor of all time. She only lectures but they are entertaining, and she does tons of demonstrations that you require volunteers who get extra credit. You will have to work in her class, but her tests are fair, and she also has several assignments graded on completion. Would definitely take her again.

Definitely my favorite professor this semester! She uses stories and objects to help you understand and retain info easier, and she covers a lot of material but if you go to class you'll be fine. She's a fair grader and as long as you do the work, you'll get a good grade. She helped me fall in love with Nutrition, I would definitely recommend her!

very nice and high energy! there are some hw assignments but they're not too time consuming and are all easy and will boost your grade. gives extra credit if you hold up a paper to the class and on random assignments. there is a lot of content in this class so the exams are kinda hard but one exam is dropped at the end. uses pollev for attendance

Professor Eastep is an excellent teacher. She makes complicated topics simple and easy to understand. She gives lots of grades, so even if you do poorly in the class, you can end with a good grade, and she gives extra credit if you participate. However, she is pretty strict about assignments deadlines and doesn't give many exceptions.

Professor Eastep is a very good professor and although the course relies on memorization, she is very good at providing resources. Her lectures were also very engaging. She gives chances for extra credit and the homework's are an automatic 100 just for doing them. The course is very lecture heavy and challenging but very knowledgable.

Very unorganized and speeds through lectures. She is very nice, though. Extra credit is given like crazy. Exams are open-note. Lots of assignments. Choose a good group for the semester-long project as it is really heavy material. There is math, nutrition, and anatomy involved in this course. It is more a sports nutrition course than anything.

Professor Eastep's class was engaging. Leveraging resources like Unstuck AI alongside the textbook helped me grasp the material. Workload was manageable, and I'd recommend this course.

Professor Eastep was one of the best professors I have had at UD! She keeps the class interesting even when the material gets a little more involved. She gives many opportunities for extra credit, so definitely take advantage of that. The tests were all reasonably easy if you follow the study guide she posts at the beginning of the semester.

Very engaging lectures (which is good because there's mandatory attendance) and lots of opportunities for extra credit. Weekly reading checks and 4 quizzes all online, and 4 in person exams. She's a bit disorganized though and her slides aren't always thorough enough for exams (which are taken on McGraw Hill - get used to weird wording).
