First of all, Dr. Barra is the funniest professor in the entire world. She is such a crack up and makes every class worth coming to. DO NOT & I REPEAT DO NOT GET ON HER BAD SIDE. All I have to say is the clinical group looked forward to seeing Dr. Barra every week. She made clinical enjoyable. When she explained something she also added an nclex question for review. We were able to understand the content. I wish all of my Professors cared for our success as much as Dr. Barra does.

I was initially nervous starting my very first clinical but from that first day I realized that Dr Barra was on my side. The entire clinical group loves her! We learned so much and have so much confidence with clinical skills. I was lucky to get into Dr Barra's group and plan to be in her group again.

This was my 1st clinical and I was so nervous before we even started. I was OK with clinical lab but did not know what to expect with going to the nursing home. Dr. Barra made everyone feel comfortable. Even if you were nervous or not sure of what to do, she calmly guided you as many times as you needed. Clinical was the best day of the week!

Dr. Barra made the group work, and we did everything hands on-injections, GT feeds, wound care, BS, etc. Our group was active but relaxed. Maternity was difficult because it was 7 weeks. Dr. Barra was able to give the entire group the best experience. We rotated to Mother Baby, Delivery, NICU. She advocated for us to join rounds with doctors & nursing staff, see deliveries, & assist nurses in activities. Dr. Barra wants us to learn. It is obvious she enjoys teaching. Great Professor!
