Great proffessor. Explains everything until everyone understands it. Widely available for office hours. Very easy exams which you get the answers for prior to the exam. If you're having a hard time with calculus...this is your guy.
VERY UNCLEAR! DOES NOT GIVE EASY EXAM! TAKES ONLY 15 MNS TO EXPLAIN NEW MATERIALS! HORRIBLE!!!
Hard exams.
worse professor ever u cant ask him any questions because his reply will be that it is in the syllabus...exams are very tricky u need to be a very good math person to get at least a d in his class
really easy he takes out a lot of time to help his students easy exams straight out of the practice final overall very helpful to students
He's alright as far as explaining the concepts, but he's very technical when it comes to grading exams.
The class isn't too hard, but only because the book is clear. Don't ask him to explain something because he will only further confuse you. Read the book and do the homework and you'll be fine. The tests and quizzes are straight from the homework problems.
Does not explain materials well and leaves it up to the students to teach themselves the material
I finsihd d class w/an A-, w/c was not bad--I never did the HW, skipped a couple of classes, & occasionally listened. He is a good teachr tho. He puts math into perspective, explains the relationship between math and real life. He explains thoroughly, & the tests are easy--mostly taken 4rm the HWs
horrible, his tests and quizzes are easy as long as you know wat you're doing. he doesnt really teach, i've never done so poorly in a math class in my life. takes attendance, and gives quizzes on random days.
He doesn't explain anything.NO review 4 final. You ask a question and he responds with another stupid question eg, "If I ask u when your birthday is r u going to tell me what u ate for breakfast."I have a hard time with math enough as it is I advise u to not take this professor. You have been warned!
Very fair and teaches well. It is not easy to earn an A in his class.
He's a fair grader.. he teaches well as long as u pay attention in class n understand the concepts he explains... quizes r very easy n dey r based on da hw... his exams r based on math concepts.. n he doesnt ask 4 much detail math answers.. i would recommend him if ur lookin 4 a fair professor
I highly recommend this professor to those who are willing to learn Math and not just be spoon fed. He gives extra credit if he feels like it. Do his HW cuz the hard questions in the test comes from there and also the quiz questions.
Prof.Yazdani:Great. Interested in concepts(realizing the beauty of math)than plugging in numbers and BAM you're done, he is your professor. On exams, he tests to see if you know the concepts, especially the final. Posts interesting conceptual questions in class. Gives ten pop quizzes from the HW. I like how he relates math to real life situations.
Don't ask him questions! He just askes you another in return. His exam questions come straight from the hw. So, it's important to pay attention in class and do the hw at home. He also gives pop quizzes so, go to class.
I worked really hard in his class and managed to come with A.His tests are hard but they are straight from the book. Also he relates math to real life.Even though I am straight A student this is one of the classes I actually learned something useful.Take him to learn not for an easy A.Nice foundation for all later business courses, but you must work
He sucks, has real problems with speaking English, I think I wasted my time at his classes 'cause all I learnt was from the book. He spends most of his time trying to help those dumbs who don't do a**** at home, sleep and eat at classes and are always late. If you do a bit of homework, there is nothing else to do in class cause he starts doing it
Good professor. Clear and helpfull.
He's so smart. Although his analogies may be weird, he's very helpful. He knows his stuff. Calculus isn't an easy class. It does require practice. But if u study the manual (that's where his questions for the exams come from) you should do well.
unclear and unhelpful. your gonna have to study on your own like crazy to pass and dont expect any compassion from this dude. He doesn't wanna hear about your personal problems and he really doesnt care. avoid, avoid, avoid!!!!!
He is not a bad guy, however he is not the best teacher in the world either. It drives me crazy when he teaches a subject with the same exact example the book does ???? You have to study a lot on your own to really get it. If you are good in math this should be somewhat easy, just keep in mind his tests are q's answer NOT multiple choice
If you can't learn math by working on your own with the department writen texbook, then try someone else. This professor makes an effort to explain the subject but does not come accross clearly. He tries to make the class interesting with his math jokes but a good laugh is as far as you'll get .
Great teacher. I am not a strong Math student and I did get B+. He made Math interesting for me. If you are lazy don't take his class or any other class for that matter. Baruch has a good reputation and you cannot expect to be spoon fed. Do your work and you will have no complaints!
I had this is professor in Fall2006 and i have to say he is the worst professor i've ever had. He does not explain the material well, lacks communication skills with students, gets upset if you ask to many questions. He leaves you in the middle to figure out problems on your own. If you have this professor, drop the class.
Not a bad professor. He gives small helpful talks on how to see math concepts. Remember your algebra rules before taking his class. that will help out a lot in dealing with calculus.
Take him. :)
I liked him a lot. If you are a hard worker, do your homework and follow directions you will love him. If not, he is not for you. He kept me interested in math which is more than I can say for my previous math professors.
The best professor ever! very funny and tries to relate math to real life. He is kind of hard to understand at first but you will get the hang of it no time. Do his HW because a lot of the test questions come from there. Very helpful and always answers your questions personally.Take him!He changed my perspective of math just by relating it to life
he knnows the subject and he is doing his best to help you understand it not to memorize every single formula without understanding it.so far i will encourage any student who really want to learn mathematics in any level to take him. if you do your word i garantee you that you will not regret that choice.
Make sure you'll get yourself required textbook, because you're gonna study on your own a lot!!!
I absolutely recommend Prof. Yazdani. He makes calc interesting. Obvi this subject requires you to do hw, which is where he gets exam ?'s. If you pay attention, read book, do hw, and go on calcchat.com to check your hw answers you should get the grade you desire/ deserve.
AVOID! AVOID! AVOID!
great professor but not an easy professor. his class was enjoyable and insightful. he is the kind of professor that expects you to learn on your own.
This guy is a terrible teacher. He doesn't teach. If I didn't teach myself everything from the textbook, I would have easily failed. He doesn't answer questions well and makes the class extremely boring. Avoid this professor if you want a decent grade, and if you don't want to spend time outside of class teaching yourself all the material.
He is not bad at all! He gives examples from the book, and you have to study hard on your own. People! this is Maths, you have to do the practices question and homework. The exams are not hard. Most of them are from textbook examples and homework. If you are not lazy, you can do well in this class! A A A A
Good professor for you if you can do your homework, listen to the lectures and study examples from the TB. Sounds easy, right? That's the material all his tests come from though he doesn't check HW. 3-4 tests overall, the last test may be harder than previous ones, so make sure to study from the book. Need to carry a TB to the class.
Very nice guy. People that criticize probably didnt bother to do the work; on the other hand, its too bad he neither curves nor drops the lowest grade for exams. You also gotta lug a heavy textbook. HW isnt checked, but I highly suggest you do them.
you have to learn all by yourself.
MATH IS HARD ! He's ganna like you only if you show "potential," some exams are directly from textbook, some are open-ended, some MC. its a DEPARTMENT FINAL, so study, get on his good side, & u'll be ok.
3 Mid terms(22%each) 1 Final(33%)Not hard. He tries to teach in a way that every student in his class would understand. My suggestion is you gotta do some homework, even he doesn't collect it, coz some of them might appear in exams.
I was one of top 5 in class but ended up getting a B.
believe me he's mean!! he does not wanna give students good grades. he takes off points wherever he can. it sounds like a lie but its damn true. class average was below 70 on every test and there were a bunch of examples on the final you never learned from him. his tests are extremly difficult and doesnt curve at all.
It is very easy to get a good grade if you are doing at least some homework and paying attention in the classroom.
Professor Yazdani can be spiteful towards students when he perceives they are not doing the homework and not working hard enough. He put over five problems on the final exam on a topic that we spent 15 minutes on in class because no one did those homework problems. He can be vague, unorganized and confusing.
This is the best Professor in math. He explains the way that everyone can understand and goes over the questions you have in class. Highly recommend!
Horrible Professor. Does not teach at all. Tells you to put any textbook math problems that you have trouble with to write them on the board, then goes on to do them without explaining how. Would not recommend especially if math is not your subject expects you to teach yourself by reading the textbook.
Intelligent and helpful professor. I am surprised by the amount of negative comments. Probably that is because his exams emphasize more the understanding of the subject, not the ability to cram. So if you prefer and/or good at cramming, be ready for a hard work. Also this prof. taught me not only math but something more, may be without knowing it h
At first I really hated him and felt like he was terrible. But honestly calc is a really hard class regardless. He's one of those professor that expects you to work really hard on your own. The textbook is his bible. He gives weekly quizzes which are usually in the textbook so you can easily have a good quiz avg. Just gotta put in effort
He's a great professor you will love him!!
The most generous and student-loving professor i've ever had in my life!!!His tests are straight from the book/homework. He does anything possible for you to succeed.
Yazdani is a mixed bag. He turned my fav subject, Math, into my worst subject, in just 1 semester. His tests are hard, barely explained problems properly. His teaching style is completely odd, and..you know what, I'll just put it simple and plain, HIS CLASS IS HARD. I'm good at math, but I could not come close to winging this class. Good luck
Great professor!super easy class! Highly recommended...
He is very good and generous professor. His explanations are clear and precise. The main his point is to give you an idea of the topic, and to teach you the concept. Everything else is your efforts! Take him and you will not regret. Highly recommend him!
He is a great professor. But a lot depends on your own efforts. Math is one of my favorite subjects, so I was able to follow along really well and he was very helpful, but I did study a lot on my own, and there were many in my class that were not doing as well. A lot depends on your own skill level, but the prof is very knowledgeable.
This professor is a great professor. He really teaches you calculus to the point where you understand it and not memorize formulas. If you really listen, you will understand and ace this class. I think he deserves a higher rating because when you go to the final, you'll know everything and not memorize the reviews for class exams. Take him!
Great professor! He does every and anything to help his students do well on exams. Most of his tests consist of questions straight from the textbook. Overall funny teacher must take!
I signed up for an immersion class at the college of Staten island and I was lucky enough to get this professor. Even though I'm not sure of my grade yet I'm more confident than ever before on the subject of elementary algebra and possibly more. His style of teaching is unconventional but you have to put in some effort as in anyAls class.
I liked that he gives hardest the first two test, thus he cleans the class.First test; 25% dropped.Second one another 25% dropped. From 45 students only 22 finished the class.People take this class thinking on having fun etc Here is when Math and tension get serious,if you can't handle the stress here you won't handle it in real life. Great professor
Be prepared to work in this class! Just because you did well in prior math classes will not make this one a cake walk. It is super important to keep up with the homework assignments especially the sample questions for each section. You get out of this what YOU put into it...
Math itself is not an easy subject and you need to do your part to accomplish a good grade. Four exams (drop the lowest one) 2/3, and a cumulative final 1/3. Although he does not collect hws, I highly recommend you to do them because his exams are based on hws and examples from the sections. Overall, he is a good professor. Take him.
Sarcastic, but helpful if you ask questions. Tests are harder in the beginning and progressively become easier. Tests are made up of the example questions from the textbook and the examples from class. Gives partial credit for anything. Lets you out early.
Take him! Take him! Math isn't easy but he's very nice and most importantly he's willing to help you pass this class! Great professor for math; Especially calculus! He doesn't rush through like most of the other professors! Great Professor!
He's a great professor and generous. Let's you know what's coming for his in class exams; study for them and you'll be fine. He doesn't rush through the material at all! Take him!
Prof. Yazdani teaches from the department textbook, but his lectures explain the concepts in more detail, and you have a chance to ask questions. There's a departmental final, but all of the other exams are taken from the classworktext. He explains the topics really well, if you have an opportunity to take him you should!
I'm a math student that needs a little more patience and engagement and his teaching style didn't suit me. He did not provide an encouraging learning environment at all. He writes down all the exam scores on the board in order of low to high then calls your name in correspondence to the score he wrote on the board to pick up the exam. Dreadful.
He is the worse math professor ever! He shoots you down for questions you ask in class and teaches straight from the text book. His notes are from the text book and he only does textbook questions for the entire class. I don't know why he still teaching, because he is just a miserable old man. I did not learn anything from this class. AVOID HIM! :(
Not an easy class! At first he can seem intimidating (like half the class dropped in the first week), but as the semester continued he really showed his level of care for the students. He is a great calc professor, and he really tries to prepare you for the dep. final and upper level math classes. You MUST work hard on the hw, and it will pay off.
He's an easy going prof. I hate math, but his classes make me want to learn. He explains everything clearly, although some of his tests may be a little hard. However, he is fair.
Calculus class itself is pretty difficult, if you do homework and read the textbook you will be fine. Make sure to study for final based on samples provided online (final was almost identical to those samples). The reason I gave professor Yazdani 4 out of 5 is because he didn't really prepared us for final. Follow him in class and you'll be fine.
His lectures are straight from the textbook. When you ask him a question he makes you feel like you are suppose to know this stuff. Every example he puts on the quiz is from the chapter samples. He gave 3 quizzes and drops the lowest grade.
If you want to save your gpa d ont take him.
must know the eslope to pass!!! triangles on saturday morning. you dont have the tain i understand. owns a square hat you must solve equation to get into class gives the urges to smack bald spot hexagon table his wife is a rectangle trapezoid mustache
By far the best math professor I've ever had. It's insane how amazing he is at mathematics, his love for the subject shows and it's inspirational. Calculus is a hard subject but he let's you know what you have to study. His class is all on you, if you take good notes and study the problems he tells you to study, there's no reason you won't pass.
Took him in Fall2016. Calculus is very hard, but his lectures are very helpful to educate you to understand the important concepts. There are 3 tests and the lowest get dropped. If you pay attention in class and practice with homework, you will do well in 3 tests. Department final will be very hard, but if you worked hard, you will be fine.
He was over all a good professor. He explained things in detail and showed step by step how to solve problems. Your grade in the class is based solely on exams. He tells you exactly what will be on the exam. Attendance is not mandatory but missing class will only hurt you. I wish he spent more time on practice questions for the final and exams.
He only teaches 4 problems per class and lets the class out early so he can go home early. Very patronizing, hates when you ask questions and shoots you down for asking. Teaches only the basic problems and not the difficult ones which doesn't help when you have to take the department final exam. Be prepared to self-teach yourself for a semester :(
Professor Yazdani has been the best Math 2207 Professor that ive had (took the course twice). He explains things clearly and his quizzes help you better remember the material. He cares for his students and wants them to pass. Take note that I took him during the summer where it was a smaller class and where he was more accessible to students.
Professor Yazdani is an excellent professor that will make the difficult topic calculus easy for you. You will learn calculus and also get a good grade!
He is literally a horrible teacher. He does not have the tools to teach an online class. Makes you purchase a webassign course instead of uploading work to black board. Does not directly answer questions. Take another professor if you can.
He was a great person, fun to talk to, very happy all the time, give you great advice. However, this teaching method is outdated. :). If you're taking this class during a pandemic, look elsewhere.
Webassigns are long, but there are tutorials to help you figure it out. His lectures are important because they give you a good place to start, but you need to do the more complicated questions that are on the hws and textbook. Do not underestimate the final. Practice those exams. Massoud Yazadani is a wonderful person who cares about his students.
Not going over examples both in the text and in final practice questions was my only mistake. He was so caring, and so clear, and repeated important things you probably wouldnt have otherwise considered you need to know the basics! And its so true. Study the basics. From there, he will give the concepts of calculus then you just apply it. :-)
Professor Yazdani is a kind person, but the online lectures do not help much as the professor does not explain problems throughly. The homework is long and oftentimes confusing as the textbook does not explain majority of the problems. It is important to read the textbook and teach yourself. I would not recommend taking this class online.
Take him! Nice and chill guy! Do not let the previous reviews fool you. Attending lectures is the best way to learn from this class. I was worried about my grade at first since the last two tests were pretty difficult but the professor understood the difficulty of online learning for students and took that into consideration for our final grade.
Easiest math class I've ever taken. His exams were word-for-word textbook problems we did in class and hwks. He didn't even change the numbers. No calculation, mostly conceptual problems with one short proof per exam. Easy A if you do the hwk and practice problems from the book.
HE CANT TEACH CALCULUS. You MUST teach yourself, which is ridiculous because its a synchronous course. He uses bb collaborate and his screen is always pixelated. If you get him make sure to take complete advantage of cengage (it helps a lot). He never answers questions during class, instead he ignores you or acts rude. He doesn't understand emails
Class met twice per week, lectures went by fast. I hardly retained any information. Homework was very hard to catch up with, each class sessions hw assignment is at least 19 questions then multiply that by 2 and get at least 40 hw problems per week to catch up on. Didnt understand most of the lessons, though he is patient. Hard material to learn
I took calc AB in highschool and got a 5 on the AP so maybe that's why I found this class easy. The professor himself is a caring guy and has nice lectures. I did summer online classes which was everyday m-t. Show up, understand the topics, do the homework, do the quizzes and test. That's it. Typical math class
A lot of quizzes and Hws. Attendance matters and he doesn't know how to teach. Please please try to avoid him
Very nice and chill professor, but personally I had a hard time learning from him. Lots of HW on MyMathLab is due all on the same date (for me at least). Quizzes every Thursday and Tests are based on the homework. I learned more from the homework than himself, but he's an understanding person.
hes not helpful at all and always makes me embarrassed whenever i ask a question. if you wanna save your gpa to dont take him
There aren't many chances to booze your grade. Try to avoid this prof, doesn't know how to teach.
Prof Yazdani is very sweet. Yes, a bit old-fashioned but, he does curve the final exam. That is how I went from a B to an A- even though, I am horrible at math.
He is very sweet and warm-hearted. Tho he does go pretty fast which is troubling for a course like this. All homework is online and due at the end of the semester. Those homework does help comprehend the lessons better. Missing a class can mean missing a section or two. One can fall behind very easily. Clearly see the professor loves teaching math.
Very nice and chill professor. Lots of HW on MyMathLab , due the last day of class. Quizzes and Tests are based on the courses lecture (same exercise and numbers). If you want to pass you class, get ready to read, study math. Curves up.
He was the best math teacher/professor i've had since 9th grade- if you put the time in, do the work and study you will do well. the departmental final is brutal but Massoud has nothing to do with that- all he can do is provide you with the tools to do well. and as he says the easiest way of learning mathematics is by learning mathematics.
Professor Yazdani was a great professor. He explains the material in a way that is very easy to understand. For the tests he will likely give you very similar questions to study from and is very willing to help you succeed whether that is staying late for a few minutes to explain a concept over again, etc. Overall, take him if you get the chance.
Dont sleep on him,, helped me pass with a great grade after struggling in past semesters. 10 out of 10, would reccomend to a friend.
This professor was so good compared to the one last semester. I was able to pass because he made the concepts easy to understand! He also has an example-based way of teaching, so you learn the concepts and how to apply them without all the rules and formulas that can confuse us. A lot of my classmates did really well, would recommend him!!
Professor Yazdani what is the best math teacher I ever had. Pre-calculus is a hard subject, but he makes it easier to understand. He does give three examples and your math lab is counted as one exam, however, he drops your lowest grade. The exams help you prepare for the final, he also prepares you for the exams by giving you questions to focus on.
You will learn more than math in his class like logic and advice which are really helpful. He is very enthusiastic about teaching the material and he explains very clearly.
He is very straight forward with what he expects from the class. He doesn't curve but the exams come from the textbook and homework and generally contain of the questions that you do in class as well.
The Professor make come out as cold and sometimes rude, but he is a really good professor. He doesn't like being asked a lot of questions- especially while he's teaching. At first I didn't like this professor but he is actually really good. You can tell he LOVES math. Though beware, you will have at least 1 short quiz every week.
Ehh he was okay but I don't recommend. Im actually going to drop this class. He has a smart mouth, incredibly hard to get in touch with after class. if you have any questions he directs you to his assistant or tutoring instead of answering a simple question. lame.
Caring Professor. May seem like a lot at first, but he does help students as the semester goes on.
I genuinely loved professor Yazdani. He is willing to help you with understanding the material. At first he may seem to be cold, but you get to know him better as the semester progresses. He does a good job at teaching the material. 5/5 Professor!
Professor Yazadani was an amazing professor during the Fall 2023 semester. From the first day of class, he stated the necessary tools to pass the course. He takes attendance, and his grading system consists of 10 pop quizzes, an online homework grade, 3 department tests (he prepares you for them), and 1 final exam. I would take him again!
Professor Yazdani is brilliant and passionate about mathematics. At first, I didn't like him, however, he grew on me over time. He comes off as cold and heartless at first, but deep down he only wants the best for his students, work hard in his class and you will be rewarded with a good grade in the end. Interest and dedication is the key with him.
Professor Yazdani is an amazing professor; he is a little bit tough, but he only wants the best for his students. Quizzes have really helped me a lot to boost my grade. I will recommend him.
We had 3 Tests, and some Quizzes sprinkled in between. The quizzes do a good job preparing you for those tests . He's kinda tricky to ask for help sometimes but he does teach pretty good in my opinion it was easy for me to follow his lectures. If you pay attention and look over the tests/quizzes he gives back it should be pretty easy.
5/5 Professor!
I was returning to school after not being there for almost 5 years and at first I was concerned that I would not remember everything but he was very caring and did not make me feel stupid at all. He was very helpful and always willing to help despite having some difficulty hearing. He help boosted my GPA and this is my first review ever, take him!
I took his class in Fall 2023 and he was awesome despite the class being so early. He has 3 exams and some quizzes. There are also mathlab homework that you'll have to do. He doesn't do curves but does drop the lowest grade you have. He follows the textbook but you don't really need it as his lectures covers what you need to study for/ know.
I took him in Fall 2021. His lectures were difficult online, however he was helpful through email or asking questions in class. He was very caring.
I took Professor Yazdani Fall 2023 and in Spring 2023. For Math 1030 he was clear about his grading system. Honestly the best professor ever!!! He was extremely helpful and cared about each of his students. He would explain the concepts clearly, however he would not accept questions through his lecture. Overall I had a B+ in 1030 and A- in 2001.
He was an amazing professor! We had the chapter homeworks on math lab due by the end of the semester. Weekly quizzes for basic understanding, usually it would be based on what he taught the previous class. He explains each concept carefully! There were three exams and pretty much straight to the point, however you should pay attention and study!
BEST PROFESSOR EVER!!! HONESTLY TAKE HIM!! My friend had a different professor compared to me, she wished she swapped for him. He is so nice & willing to explain for you to understand. Take notes to look back on when studying. Quizzes are given but are like 5 questions or 10 depends. Mathlab is due by the end of semester. I took him in Spring'24.
He can seem cold, however I was able to adapt to his expectations. There are 11 weekly quizzes, however if you are doing HW and attending class you will have no problem. Those 11 quizzes count for 1 test grade, same for HW. There are 3 in-class tests and he will drop the lowest one. His class is literally intended to pass.
He can come be very standoff-ish and may rub people the wrong with with his remarks. He does genuinely care to help you learn and pass. He's a forgiving grader and will often be generous with partial credit on quizzes and tests. Just show up, study, and do the work and you will pass.
Excellent, very passionate professor. Lowest test and quiz grades both get dropped, and he tries his best to give you points even when you're not completely right. There is also a homework module due at the end of the semester that you can finish at your own pace.
I cannot say enough good things about Professor Yazdani. He greatly cares for his students and really wants them to leave understanding math not knowing math. Cracks jokes during class and you can tell is extremely passionate about math in general. Math was not my strong subject but after his class I am much more confident in it. Take him!
Yazdani is old school. Prepare to self-teach. He is inaccessible, not tech-savvy, and has the sass of a teenage girl during that time of the month. However, if he likes you... you might just pass.
"the best way to learn math is to LEARN math" this is go to quote! He wants every student to understand what is going on in class and passionate. He is also not tech-savvy, which isn't a big deal unless you are a big emailer. Takes long for the first few chapters, so be prepared to somewhat rush towards the end. In general he is very sweet!
Avoid unless you can teach yourself Class time was spent doing this: -Puts 1 problem on the board -Silence for 3-5 min while we do it on our own -He asks who is done and walks around verbally telling you if you got it right or wrong -He then goes over the answer confusingly bc he writes messy & jumps around to diff boards -Rinse & repeat
He really knows his material, if you failed the previous sem, TAKE HIM FOR THE NEXT!!! Organized, all subjects are taught pretty decently well, he seems cold but he's really chill, you just got to lock in for the subject and it'll feel lightweight. 2 tests and 4 quizzes, all are lightweight again.
Professor Yazdani can come across as condescending if u make a mistake with a question and will make it known to the class. He makes a lot of jokes and sometimes roasts the students.
Take his course and make sure you pay attention in class! I've always struggled with math, but he made a huge difference for me in this course. He genuinely cares about his students and truly wants you to succeed.
STRONGLY RECOMMENDED!!! I cannot stress enough if you take him, just lock in and focus, he will HELP YOU PASS!!!
Made math really easy to learn. All of the homework is due a day before the semester ends. I didn't think Baruch had good math professors until I met him.
He prepped me well for the department final after failing MTH 1030 twice. He gives exams and quizzes that reflect what you'll likely see on the department final. He encourages that you ask questions but sometimes he can be a little sassy or argue with the students when they ask something. Also likes to crack jokes and throw shade at students
I have always been generally good at math, but I never GENUINLY understood everything I was doing until I took his course. I would know how to solve problems, but I could never explain the math behind them. He is fantastic at bringing concepts down to a base level and truly cares about making sure his students understand what he is teaching.
I wanted so hard to give him the benefit of the doubt. He is not reachable by email; the syllabus provided was the department's. He goes on tangents during his lectures. Doesn't allow students to ask questions. I was hospitalized and had documentation to prove it, but he didn't let me make up the MIDTERM and some quizzes I missed and gave a zero.
