great man. will give you his home phone #...he is that willing to help you. hilarious in class once you get to know him and is EXTREMELY generous with grades. take a math class with him, specially if its not your strong suit.

This is how pre-calc should be. All you business majors who aren't too good in Math should be taking Quabili. Tests/Quizzes are extremely straightforward with no curveballs. He teaches the basics in an understandable manner and will get you through it!

A very straight forward prof. Can be easily persuaded to have open book tests. Hard to understand at first but after a week or two you learn to understand him. Very funny and makes class fun.

This guy is funny as hell, he had grey hair and a grey beard and then on day he came into class and had died it jet black. He will let you retake any test and turn in to homework after he goes over every problem in class and still give you full credit.

Quabs is a great proff. At first he will be very unclear due to his thick Pakistani accent, however he is very funny and you get used to the accent quickly. He is very reasonable about due dates and all. Good guy.

Professor Quabili is THE NICEST professor i've ever had, he wants all his students to do well, he splits up material into several tests, but its good b/c then theres not a lot on only a few tests.

I am not a math person, but professor Quabili is great and his quizzes are very straightforward. He likes to make sure that everyone understands the material before moving ahead. He is always willing to help and is the nicest man ever. I highly reccommend him if you want an A in pre-calc.

Professor Quabili wants his students to understand everything - the tests are pretty easy, and only 5 or 6 out of the entire semester are counted towards your grade. Nice prof - I'm not a math person, and I think I'll probably end up with a solid B in this class.

Brilliant absolutely brilliant. ANYONE taking math should take it with Quabili. His class was fun I actually understood math for once. HIGHLY REcommended. Grades incredibly cool

Very difficult to understand for the first few days because of his accent. After that, he is a very good teacher, explains concepts well, and will slow down when necessary. Near the end it started to become too fast though. Quabili is definitely the best math professor I have ever had.

Quabili is one of the best math teachers I have ever had...true he is hard to understand on the first couple days but his examples are great and he does a lot of them because he truely wants us to succeed.

Has a great sense of humor that always made me laugh, he started every class with "this is going to be MORE interesting today..." He was hard to understand the first couple days but he writes everything on the board and you get used to his accent. Great teacher!

Nice guy. Tries to make you laugh. Will stop class to teach you something only if you ask. If you want an A, go get it. It is not difficult to do well, math has never been easier for me to understand. I assume the bad ratings are from the kids who would show up, sit in the back quiet, and not do all the hw. He teaches you tons in the easiest way.

Good prof, make sure you do your homework, which you have to do anyway, because it is part of your grade. Homework done = A

Professor Qualbili is an excellent instructor. I did not find his accent too difficult to understand as mentioned before. He does not progress if someone does not understand the material. He is forgiving on the exams but does count the homework as part of the grade. But you need to do all assigned (maybe more) homework to do well on the exams.

Easy class. only went 50% of the time and still got an A. Just make sure you keep up with most of the assignment and do well on the tests and you will do well in this class. Tries to make math fun and his accent isn't that bad.

Overall easy class. Some people struggled because he expects people to know previous material, but not that hard. Doesnt give much homework, tests are short. He gives about 7 tests but only counts the best 5 for your grade. Our class begged him all the time to push back test dates and let us redo tests and homework and it works. Hes a nice guy.

He is an easy professor for calculus. He is a easy grader because he understands that it is difficult material. However sometimes it is difficult to understand him and its frustrating. I would recommend if you want an A or B.

Good guy. Not hard to understand like some comments say. Good sense of humor. Easy grader - especially homework. Lets you out of class early quite often and you watch a lot of videos. On average only about 8 people showed up to class (and about 3 on Fridays) Final is over whole semester.

This Prof. is on a very short list of the very best I have ever taken a course with!

Great class! Professor Q is VERY helpful. You take like 15 quizes but he only counts the best 5!!!! He is awesome!You write a paper, but he doesn't read it and you don't have to cite where you got your sources. lol SO EASY!!

Alot of ppl are intimidated by math so when you have a professor that you can't understand it can be frustrating. let me say he is one of the best math teachers ive had, he grades you on your top five scores which is more than fair because he doesnt have to do that. I think ppl dnt like him because he wont put up with crybabies and nonsense.

Hard to understand due to heavy accent but otherwise a good guy & not a difficult class. He doesn't have patience for idiots but helps those who work hard and want to do well. If you need help don't ask him after class; go during office hours or to Math lab. Do all hmwk and you'll be fine on tests/quizzes. Took in summer and had no problems.

Mr. Quabili is an excellant math professor. I highly recommend him and his course. As long as you're patient and you listen closely to what he says, you'll have no problem in his class. Make sure you come to every class, otherwise you might get lost. He explains the concepts better than the book. Do the homework and put some effort and interest in!

Pr.Quabili is the man!! He really is a down to earth nice guy who tries his best to help his students. If you pay attention to his notes and do the homework, guarentee A in the class. He is very understandable. Great teacher, I recommend him, he taught me a lot and made me better at math!! For the person underneath me....how pathetic on switching.

His English is slightly difficult to understand but he is very nice and willing to help.

he is a great professor who makes math fun and enjoyable. i usually do really bad in math, but in his class i did very well and ended with A. he is always open to questions and helps make all the hard concepts easy! i would recommend him, ESPECIALLY if you are NOT a math person. he will help you every step of the way!

Leaving a negative rating on RMP is worthless nowadays, they just delete it. So I will just describe the professor in the comment, and say he is horrible. I got an A in the class, but he reads right out the book. Only thing he teaches good is functions. Take it with someone who knows how to teach. Only online homework is important

I have enjoyed Dr.Quabili he is an excellent instructor, who gives every student a chance to succeed. He is available.The only drawbacks are he tends to be an easy grader and he uses the textbook examples instead of giving his own, which I think would be more helpful.However Dr. Quabili is an excellent professor who always encourages his students.

omg, he is a very good math teacher. do the homework and you'll get an A. he pretty much reads out the book, but you'd have to read it by yourself if he didn't. believe me, i just finished precalc with a prof who gave oversimplified examples, and asked textbook questions on the exams. took quabili in summer..best summer class ever

I enjoyed taking him. He is very patient and while he teaches a lot from the book, he shows you different and easier ways to solve the problems. He tries his hardest to help you succeed in the course.

Prof Q was a really nice guy. He isnt that clear, but he is very down to earth and keeps things light. He drops alot of exams, you take about 8 and he takes the best 4. He was a very good prof, that im taking him again

Whew-hew! Professor Q is best math professor at UMD! He gives you a chance to succeed by dropping the lowest scores. I received an A. Shocking I know! lol. Take him, & you will pass w/ a good grade. As long as you study, you can do it! I liked that he explained the parts of he book that confused me, good at explaining math. Excellent! Take him!

Quabili is GREAT!! He makes math easy and enjoyable.. believe it or not :) I recommend attending all classes and staying on top of homework assignments. He is always open to questions and very easy to talk to. Recommend him!!

His accent is thick. Sit up front if you want to hear him clearly. If you do not understand something, SPEAK UP AND TELL HIM or else he'll move on to the next chapter! he drops two of the worst tests. homework all together is worth 100 pts, there is an essay on Numeration systems on chapter 4 of Concepts and Surveys Math book.

The ONLY complaint I have about professor Quabili is that he has a really strong accent and it's hard to understand him at times but that's something you have to expect at tons of colleges. Just sit up front to hear him closely. Great professor you will be fine :)

Love him! Would not hesitate to take another course with him. Hard to understand at first, but you will quickly begin to understand his accent. Generous on grading, makes class fun and enjoyable (:

10/10 would take again. If you're looking for a math class to take for credit, this is the one. Not many tests at all, and not all of them are counted. Tests are also very easy, as is the material. As an A student, this is one of the easier A's that I have received. Definitely would recommend.

Very helpful at times hard to understand. Overall was always ready to help when asked. lectures also very helpful.
