He teaching is fun! Take Him!
He is a great teacher take him you wont be sorry, and he is very hot.
i don't think any of these ratings do matthew any justice. he is beyond HOT. i drag my sorry ass out of bed at 8am just to go and stare at him for an hour and fifteen minutes. After...what...7 weeks of economics, i couldn't tell you one god damn thing about that class. He's a great professor though, so even if i fail it would still be worth it.

hes very easy just review study guide. explains things pretty well but is too slow. makes sure everybody understands. goes off on annoying tangents but whatever. its worth it to take him cuz hes an easy A but he could be a bit annoying
Really easy. explains things in depth but so many times that it gets boring sometimes. however he is very clear. highly recommended.
Very nice teacher, everything is straight forward. As long as you study the study guide. You will do well. There is a little project to do,but it is easy.Highly recommended!!

Good teacher, like no work at all

This professor is excellent, he has the whole package , he is hot, smart and very understandable. I strongly recommend this professor. He sometimes does pop-quizes if people do not come to class but those are really easy!! like write your name and you get five points for that. The exams are simple , study the studyguide.

he is a very good professor makes sure u understand and if u have a question dont be scared just ask he will explain no matter how stupid your question might be ...dont be late though cuz he will mark u apsent he dont care about that he is cool though
got to take him!! he's fair and not boring for the most. i kinda think he resembles a young heath legder(10 things i hate about u & a knight's tale), if that's any consolation.

This guy talk soo much crap in classes, making half of the class dream. If u wanna really learn about economic, dont take him and he doesnt give review sheet for test!!!

He used to be a good teacher but now he gives difficult test and hard HW's I hope he curves his tests because i studied really hard and got in the 60's. I thought coming into this class I would study and get an A but now I study and get D's. I Really Really hope he curves
Ok, I have to say he def. knows what he's talking about...incredibly intelligent. ok...but sometimes his knowledge is a bit complex for a 102 class. I don't have any previous background in economics and he teaches it as if we're all ECO majors. hws are hard..but HELPFUL! (what's the sense in easy hw? you're not going to put in effort and learn).
I think he's okay. Pretty vague about everything....final was a joke. I taught myself though...and I learned a lot. Textbook was great. Thank god for it because without it I'd be so lost. Very indifferent about this class.
he is an unaproachable cocky teacher.... his policy of no make-up homeworks, no extra credit and no curve are harsh...especially if u screw up on a test there is no possibility to improve your grade
Does not curve. 4 homework assignments ( each takes 4-6 hours to do) + pointless paper (summary of 10 articles about economics). Makes it difficult to get an A,even if you are A student. Not very helpfull and arrogant.
Thought he was a good professor who gives good grades and stuff, but apparently he is not, I don't know if its the fact that people used to say good things about him, that he turned evil, or something I don't know, but don't take his class. He acts as if he's gonna give everybody a good grade, but in the end, its a trick. Dont let the charms fool.
easy teacher but a really lazy guy. do not expect to ever reach him or ask for help. luckily he is straight foward and tell you what he wants. easy tests but the tests do not reflect all the material. he can talk for weeks on a topic and it will the smallest part of the test. its disorienting. regardless he is a good choice.
Assigned a lot of work (4 HW, 1 project), but gave good grades on them because he didn't want to read them. Intelligent guy but seems rather lazy. Final and midterm not too difficult. All the work was a real PITA but it wasn't an impossible class to do well in or anything.
he is an unaproachable cocky teacher.... his policy of no make-up homeworks, no extra credit and no curve are harsh...especially if u screw up on a test there is no possibility to improve your grade
he is a very good professor ...teaches very well and makes sure that everyone in the class understands. he gives hw and one project but that will help u to raise your grade if u didnt do good on the test. atendance is imprtant cuz if u go u then dont need to read the book if u prefer the book then dont go its up to u...but yea take him definitly
I thought this class would be alot easier than it was. Not an easy class but not a hard one. He makes you think. I def recommend this prof!!!!!!
If you got Econ 101 you'll do fine in his class.. exact stuff as 101, very easy exam, very easy project, easy everything, but boring because he does all the talking
Really, a wonderful teacher. Very smart, funny. He makes economics interesting.
Stop sleeping on it guys, thinking hes easy, HELL NO. The midterm was damn hard, no curves, and the finals according to him has to be much harder required by the department of economics. He will talk like he understands students problems, but he certainly doesnt. I dont know how students gave him good ratings well it was a waste of time,& MONEY.
Not easy, but great teacher...homework b4 the exams really help with the exam. Makes boring economics very interesting and to some degree fun...He does require some work but is a very nice guy...def recomendd if you dont mind putting in some effort! He is very funny and tells hilarious stories to help learn the material!
I am not saying this is a very easy course, but it definitely is not as bad as the previous person said (who gave all "1" rating). He is a nice guy, his exams weren't really hard, but come on, of course you have to read and study.
He's a fun and nice guy, but I learned more from the textbook than from him. He knows his stuff, probably too well for his own good and gives very complicated explanations. That being said, he's not difficult in the least. He gives a review before each test which is almost exactly the same as the test, but BEWARE as I expect that to change.
Awesome!
He is great. I took him for 2 semesters. Easy tests, h.w. review is similar to what will appear on the test, but i think it will change. Funny, knows his stuff well. i got an A can't complain. and he is HOT
He talks too fast. I didn't understand what he was saying at all. I don't know when he breathe either. He just keeps talking to himself.
The lectures are boring and unhelpful. He doesn't explain well. I learned more from reading the textbook than his lectures. The exams very unclear.
Let's get real, no one understands his blaberring most of the time but I must admit, he will review the materials over and over again! Its's dead simple, try your best to do your homework when he wants it done! Your test is your homework! straight A if you put an effort! He will not put up with any excuses though.
Nice guy,not proffesor.I wasted my time and money on this class did not learn anything, just got more confused. Test were similar to review sheet, but gud luck understanding the lecture. He can say 200 words a minute.Talks way...too fast, and unclear goes so deep in the details that you forget what he was taking about. No curve. Do review sheet!!!!!!!
Lazy professor. He put the class on autopilot. He mumbled through powerpoint presentations, did not give even one concrete example, gave us web based self grading homework which he did not go over at all, and had us write the same paper in 3 separate drafts so he would not have to go through the work of actually reading through them. Not recommende
Yaap, we did same papers over and over.........And, he just doesn't know what he is talking about. Online Homeworks and you do it by yourself. However, good thing is test may follow previous HW......However, do not expect a good grade unless you cover the material by yourself.
Tests are based on the h.w. so you should't have a hard time getting an A. Lecture is useless. I havn't seen too many people write this..so you can disregard me..but I think he is so stuck up..he just irks me in a way noone ever has irked me. His personality is quirky and weird..not cool and not hot. But lets not get personal.easy class..no worries
Just study know HW down cold that he gives before the test and you'll get an A.
You dont have to go to class. Just show up for the hw he gives before the exams. Hw and exams are mostly the same.
I would NOT recommend this instructor because he is lazy, tries too hard to be something he is not, doesnt encourage students and never gives back any feedback on assignments. He lets us out TOO early and doesnt care about the students' progress. He expects a lot from us, when he doesnt even have expectancies for HIMSELF...he is nasty and cocky
He knows his stuff and if you are interested in the material you will do really well.
One thing you have to understand about this guy is that he really finds economics interesting. If you're an economics major you're going to have to take him for a couple of courses. Considering I think I deserved to fail this course and He gave me a C, he's alright in my book. He doesn't project his voice well when he lectures and thats annoying.
I agree with the other comments. He is all about economics and assumes that everyone in his class is also. So he does go slightly overboard with a lot of useless theories. Not an easy class at all, you need to work hard and read the text to do well. His teaching methods could be better but they aren't god-awful. P.S.He is friggin' HOT & he knows it.
definitely did not learn much 2 10 page papers basically bout the same thing i don't think he really reads them test are mc he is cocky and he knows he looks good overated if you ask me
This professor is LAZY! Midterm and Final were scantron b/c he is too lazy to grade test. All he talked about was how overworked he is with his writting intensive course(why did we need to know that!).We def got the short end of the stick-with no textbook to refer to.He goes through his lectures like speedy gonzalez.Overall this professor is clueles
He's good to look at but not worth it.Speaks too fast in high then low voices. His notes on the board are horrible. Everyone was completely lost in this course. Exams extremely difficult. You really have to fend for yourself with him.
The comments below are true. Con-speaks very quickly, very cocky, unresponsive to emails and sarcastic. Pro- the lectures are finished!
Very arrogant and unhelpful. Likes to play with the students mind by embarrasing them infront of the class. His jokes are lame and disrespectful at times. The class is pretty straight forward(he uses powerpoint and reads from it).
Warning very arrogant and unhelpful! The class is traightforward dont expect him to explain anything outside the classroom because you wont get an answer. His joking system is very lame. Be aware that he is the type of professor that likes to embarass students!
This professor is passionate about economics and thats what makes him great. His exams are fair and based entirely on lectures, so do not buy the text book. He will answer a question if he finds it smart. Overall he is not that bad, but if you prefer a slow speaking professor, he is not your guy.
The cons comments are mostly wrong and do Prof Bradbury little justice. He's a great professor(which says nothing about his personality) He's got lot to offer but you have to ask questions. He's passionate and all about economics! He's intelligent! He repeats most of the things over and over again so, him talking fast shouldn't really be a problem!
If you come to class, take notes and do your homework you will ace the exams and get an easy A. If you're lazy and expect him to just hand you an A, you're out of luck! In response to some of the previous comments he does come across as a prick and seems conceited! But thats IRRELEVENT, he teaches well and that's what matters.
He loves economics and yes he's hot. Take good notes, ask lots of questions and you will do fine.
Bottom line is that if you have him for 101 or 102, he's pretty easy and you should have no trouble getting on the A level. For more advanced classes, you should stay away if there are other options. He's big on assigning work, and he's not very helpful. Unbelievably full of himself.
He knows about his stuff so u can learn a lot but not a easy class. He talks really fast and in very low tone so sometimes is hard to understand. He gives the lecture with ppt and puts online afterward, just study from it with notes should be fine.
ok,, as been said, he is extremely cocky. he doesnt know what the word "professor" means. lazy as hell, only thing he brings in class are sun glasses and a cup of tea. he doesnt teach any thing from the book, so if you miss one or two classes, you are not going to catch up. to be honest, his exam is easy if you show up at his review session. the
He is probably one of the best professors QC has on staff. Yes, at first he does seem conceited. However if you go to his class (on time, because if you are >10 minns Late he wont let you sit in class), take good notes, and talk to him after classes if you are stuck he is actually very very helpful. Overall a grt professor
He is a good professor. He talks really fast so Sneak in a tape recorder. Very Organized. Make sure you KNOW your FORMULAS bc test are (50) multiple choice Q's and you have no time to look for formulas in your calculator. Teaches Macro in mostly theory (less math). Test are straightforward. 2 aplia HWs. Everything said in class is relevant to test
the best(and most handsome xD) professor in QC, no doubt.you will regret if not take him.
this prof is pretty easy. mid term, final and 2 hw's. he has terrible hand writing but notes are useless anyway. exams are pretty easy but you really wont learn anything in his class!
He is an unprofessional jerk. Not the best QC professor but definately not the worst either. He talks really fast. My advice: buy a small notebook; small lines facilitate the note taking process. Test are based on HW and textbook. It helps to read the chapter b4 the lecture bc he rushes the material. I would recommend him. :)
Most boring professor Ive ever had; going to class is unnecessary just do the aplias and go on exams
He is not a great fit for this profession. You would like to hear him over a dinner table or drinking in a bar. Definitely not recommend anyone taking his class, won?t learn anything. He does not follow the textbook until no option to drop the class and hand writing is unexplainable. DON?T WASTE YOUR TIME.
This is not a serious guy. Lazy and bank on his look to get girls into his class. He is worst professor I ever had. He did not prepare the lecture, did not know material and gave last minutes exam. He is more suitable to be ... He shall try his luck in Hollywood.
He is a very good professor , knows what hes talking about the problem is that you do have to go to class and take very good notes, some students just want everything handed to them !
er..If you really want to learn something, don't take him. 1 midterm 1 final, and homework assignments.
Really nice guy, fair. Pretty normal. I had taken economics before, so his class wasn't too difficult, just some new concepts. Decent lecturer. Don't miss classes, and don't show up late; make an effort. Got an A.
Professor B. is nice and funny. Our class was behind so at the end of the class he was going quick through material so it got a little confusing. He didn't take attendance. Only 2 hws (each 10% of the grade) and a midterm and final (each 40% of the grade). I got a B. Overall its a pretty easy class.
Talks really fast. Spits out the information. Test are multiple choice. Study aplias. Its like he is too lazy to adequately prepare you for exams. Only gives two hw's for the semester and you take two exams. Thats it.
Best professor in Econ Dept who knows what college-level edu is. The only strongly recommended lecture in Econ Dept in QC. Pros: Considerate, Open-minded, Clear, Fair, Funny, Well-summarized, High textbook usage, Makes complicated things simple, Timely notification; Cons: Was a little distracted but got much better organized than before.
His lectures were pretty fun, which is a relief when sitting in an 8am econ class! We had a couple homeworks that really helped prepare you for the midterm and final. He wasn't always very nice, but most econ professors aren't.. and the syllabus wasn't very detailed so it could be hard to keep up with what chapters were covered if you missed class.
Had him last summer, and fall, he is good in fall but for summer its sooo tough, A LOT OF WORK, hard tests and hes always irritable. A NO TAKE FOR SUMMER
Pros: high textbook use, no heavy study burden, timely notification; Cons: fully utilized class cancelation twice, always unprepared to teach, no passion, closed-minded, students cheating, early scheduled final against CUNY policy
You will fall asleep listening to his boring lectures. He should give some sort of study guide or review sheet for the midterm and final which he doesn't.
So hott. 2 Exams. 2 HWs on MyEconLab. Attendance not mandatory. Easy grader in the end. He loves the subject. Speaks fast. Textbook not needed. Posts PowerPoints.
One of the most difficult classes at QC... He is a very good professor and really teaches well... Much better than the entire department of economics... Keep it up professor and thank you for the great semester!!
took him for a summer class, very entertaining and helpful professor, he is very intelligent, and has a Ph D. He explains the material very well and makes it fun, if you take good notes you should be fine, he is somewhat easy with the grades, he is a cool guy and good at getting your attention.. stories are funny and relates to the material
Dr. Bradbury is a mixed bag. He is eminently knowledgeable, yet has a tendency to wonder off on a tangent safari. Overall, his class was not difficult if you attended (he relies on the book for principles, yet throws obscure nuggets from lectures into exams.) He's the kind of guy you would have a beer with and talk politics with.
If you go to class, do the homework (only 2 in aplia)and study really hard for the exams, you should be good. He curves the final grade a lot, depending on how the class did. Very sarcastic and may seem annoying at times.
This is the worst professor you can ever have. SOOO UNCLEAR
He's pretty cool and can be funny but his lectures are hard to follow. He only draws graphs on the board, which he explains well enough but what we did in class alone was not enough to do well on the multiple choice midterm and final. Definitely need to study from the textbook, which is also a lot of work since he doesn't exactly go by the book.
Great class, excellent professor. He knows his stuff and explains real world situations. All QC professors should be like him... specially in the Eco/Acct departments smh Take him!
Bradbury is Really Good Prof. Probably one of the best ones in the business dept. Very entertaining and also very passionate about the course. 2 Tests. There is a textbook required for this course but you dont really need to spend your money. he never uses it. Take good notes and never be late to his class. Invest yourself and you'll get an A.
He is one of the greatest professors of all time he made a four week summer class fun.
The BEST Prof!! He will teach you a lot. Extremely interesting lectures. Explains material excellent. Do not believe the comments below. She failed class because she is stupid. He would never ever touch anybody. He is handsome & genius!! People are jealous that is why they talk BS about him. If you study you will get good grade. Highly recommended
Amazing professor. Smart, outgoing, funny. He keeps you interested. Textbook not necessary, he even says so himself. Attendance is necessary. Miss a lecture and you'll be lost. Pay attention and you will do well. Always helpful and willing to answer questions.
Bradbury, apart from being super hot, He is an awesome prof, this class is mostly essay based, you take no in class final. However, after every 3-4 chapters you have to write an essay based on the questions he gives you and there is a group presentation that will be a big part of your grade.
Great teacher. He is just a little of track at times. Exam are okay, but a lecture and written part of the exam is not the smartest thing.
This dude is full of himself and it gets in the way of learning the material. This man speaks in riddles, and most the information he presents is buried under jargon. When he thinks he's being funny, he is really being disrespectful. Overall, I wish I never met this dude, his class is easy and I learned nothing and got an A. Bring entertainment....
I did not like this professor at all did not learn anything. The way he teaches is for students that want to teach them self. He is very LAZY and don't know the meaning of HW. He will read over all power points and give a 83 Q HW and each Q has 3 to 10 parts A WEEK before mid-term & final, does not go over. Good luck if you take his class i failed.
This guy literally talks about complete bs every session. But honestly people who complain about the long homework he gives are just lazy. That homework basically reviews everything thats going to be on the 2 exams. Do the homework and you will do great on the exams. EASY
Amazing prof. super clear and gave examples to really explain what was happening. used aplia for hw and the hw was due right before the test which was practically identical to the test itself. attendance isn't mandatory got an A by showing up once or twice a month and right before the test and of course actually reading the material
The man is very interesting. Sure he gave hw before the final and midterm only. It was force studying basically and alot of the questions were on the midterm and final. The hw was helpful. Now i take econ 102 and he asked us if we would rather have hw every week rather than a huge chunk before exams. Great guy i tell u.
He is VERY full of himself. He does speak in jargon. Very very boring. Very lazy professor. Gives a huge chunk of homework online through aplia (about 80 questions) RIGHT BEFORE AN EXAM.. plus side is he is SOOO handsome, my god. Definitely some quality eye candy
The Don Of QC. Best teacher
He is very helpful in class and you should take good notes and attend class because his homework practice problems and things he discusses in class will be on the Mid-term and Final. Plus he makes BUS Econ interesting.
very full of himself. class is completely useless. better off learning straight from the online textbook. goes off topic and talks about bs the whole time. AWFUL HANDRITING and e doesnt use slides. midterm and final have nothing to do with what he talks about in class. try to avoid....
Took int'l pol econ with him and business econ, fun classes, knows his stuff, good looking. Everything he teaches is what is on the tests for busecon, just go to class and take notes. Very helpful when asked for better explanations. intl pol econ was just essays, easy stuff 3-5 pages.
he is soooooo hot. And he dresses soooo well. Oh my. just saying. read the textbook, do the hw and pay attention in class- you got an A.
At first I thought he was an unfair professor because his midterm was difficult, had nothing to do with the lessons and online h.w. However, the final is a lot simpler and gave big curves on both exams for showing up to class! Cool professor but is too chill about the students performance in class. He tends to do the minimum as a professor...
Good class. Midterm and Final, no textbook needed, everything is straight out from notes. 2 problem sets, one before each exam, and the homework questions are very similar to what you will see on the exam. Overall very straightforward and probably the best professor to take for this class.
Great professor!
Dr. Bradbury is very confident and intelligent, you can't deny that. It was hard to follow his class though because he just over complicated everything since he knew so much. He goes off topic A LOT too. He curved the class by a lot, but not sure if it was worth the stress of worrying about my low grades.
Obfuscates simple guidelines and overcomplicates the lecture. Prepare to be overwhelmed and disoriented for an intro level Economics course. I'd advise you to focus more on the concepts provided in the book, than following the layout of the lecture, and with the (minimal) curve, you'd be sure to earn a fine grade.
If you don't understand something, ask him. You have to be on your A game in Algebra; his exams are based on Algebra, so if you don't know it, you'll struggle hard. You have to write down everything he says; if you can't take notes, and listen at the same time, this class is not for you. If you miss something he said, you'll lose points on the test
Explained the subject really well, I look at the world around me very differently after having taken micro. His class involved hours of homework a week from a website that you had to pay like 140 dollars to access. If you do the homework, come to class and participate he'll give you a better grade than you deserve.
Good.
He goes off topic alot, hes super chill and cool and lectures are pretty interesting but after becoming off guard in the mid term I am crossing my fingers he curves.. I dont like that he lectures so fast and doesn't really like to answer questions but I guess its just because of the large class atmosphere. No text book required , only an online HW.
His lectures are way too fast, he gives great examples but if you are the not the kind of student to write and listen you might have a tough time keeping up. His homework assignments on Aplia are a good grade booster. I really hope he is just generous with the Midterm and Final grades curve. Fingers crossed.
Professor Bradbury is an amazing professor! He is relaxed, easy to listen to and you will learn a ton from him. He gives weekly online homework from the textbook, but all you have to do is read the chapter. If you have any questions he'll gladly answer any questions you have. Be prepared to take notes and pay attention and you'll do great.
One of the best ECON professor that I've learned from. He knows what he is teaching. If you pay attention in the lectures there are lot of chances you will pass with a good grade, but the exams are tough so its better to be prepared than to be sorry. I do recommend to take his class.
this guy goes off topic during lectures for up to a half hour, which makes it very hard to pay attention. i really recommend avoiding this professor.
The guy is truly full of himself, its very rare to meet someone so arrogant. I think his views on the world are off. Lazy Professor...
I got a 40% on the final and he gave me a C grade, basically he wants to help students, He is a great Economics professor with great passion, he is looking for student that will lead America. He is sweet, funny, and super intelligent. economics becomes important , fun, difficult , interesting, and important. He is a Great professor, I recommend.
Great Prof. knows his stuff. The tests were pretty hard, but all in all gives you a great opportunity to do well.
First day impressions: He's laidback, funny, chill, fair professor, loves to talk, confident, good looking (def takes care of his appearance; eyecandy for us ladies!)! I like him so far as a professor. But i'll comment again, once i get a feel of his teaching style, tests, hws etc.
Girls, good luck trying to concentrate because he is HOT. enough said.
I attended every lecture for this guy and he goes off topic ALOT. He's able to clear up a topic IF you ask him, but his lectures aren't valuable. The slides and and online Aplia HW($120) are better off. One midterm and final 35% each, the online hw is 30%... not a guaranteed A because you have to really know your stuff...810 would recommend
His lectures aren't boring, he's a great speaker but goes off topic when he gives examples. He has powerpoint slides in class but does not post them up for you bc then he'll know you wont do your share of reading and bc attendance is not mandatory. One midterm, one final, and homework. Exams are tough if you don't know the material well.
He is an amazing professor. His lectures are fun and interesting, he is always available to chat after class, and he is extremely helpful. I highly recommend him to anyone taking his class.
this man is an awful professor, long lectures are mostly boring stories of him growing up in Colorado. when he actually gets around to teaching he is unclear and impatient with students. his tests are unnecessarily tricky. stay way!
Not a good professor. Takes forever to grade things. Talks too fast and barely writes notes on the board. Does not help. Stay away.
His tests are easy, 1 midterm and final. Do the online quizes and read. EASY CLASS
midterm and final are hard, but if you do weekly hw, you will know the material. This prof. will curve your grade unexpectedly that will get you so hype. If you flunk your final or midterm, you can still pass with good grade
Only gave two exams but they were tough. The reviews don't help much, so do the homework and use Aplia to give you a personalized review. Was approachable yet slightly arrogant. Gives a generous curve because he seems to understand that economics aren't everyones passion
So I walked into his class on the first day, saw him in a suit and thought, "WOW. This class is going to be very intellectual, interesting, and I'll enjoy it!". Make sure to read, ask questions, and attend his office hours. I did so, and I walked out of his class on the last day after taking the final, with an A. DO NOT SLACK OFF. DO TAKE NOTES.
HW was 30% , Midterm and Final were 35%. Had to pay 100+ to buy e-book and do online HW (physical txtbook not included in price!), but it is easy. Lectures are useless, goes off topic wayyy too much. Stick to the syllabus pls. Also did not post up lecture PPT slides. Expect to be on ur own in dis class. Curves his exams.
Professor Bradbury is an amazing professor! He is relaxed, easy to listen to and you will learn a ton from him. He gives weekly online homework from the textbook, but if you read the chapter you'll be fine. If you have any questions he'll gladly chat with you and help you. Be prepared to take notes and pay attention and you'll do great.
4 3-4 page essays and 1 group presentation. He's an easy grader on the essay, but it requires you to read and understand the readings. His lectures are also pretty valuable for the essay. He takes attendance on presentation days. Don't take him for this course if you want an easy course. You will learn a lot however.
Bad teacher. Don't need to show up to class because it won't help. just read the textbook and you'll do okay. Curves big time
One of the most unique professors! Only one midterm and one final (Approx. 20MCq & 5 short response). The Textbook & Homework is online through a website called Aplia where grades are given instantly (You have to pay for the subscription on Aplia). CURVES BIG TIME!!!! If you read and pay attention, you'll do great!
Very unique individual! Only one midterm and one final (Approx. 25MCq & 5 short response). The Textbook & Homework is online through a website called Aplia where grades are given instantly (You have to pay for the subscription on Aplia). CURVES BIG TIME!!!! If you read and pay attention, you'll do great!
He ALWAYS goes off topic and speaks about himself. No point of going to class, just read the textbook and do the homework on Aplia. You have to buy Aplia for $120 which is a pain. Even if you don't study you'll probably pass since he gives a generous curve. I got two letter grades higher than I expected. If you need help use his office hours.
he was a pretty solid professor, got off topic a lot. He is clearly very very smart and he doesnt realize that we (the students) dont know anything and he'll teach us something pretty complicated and then ask the class "do you guys understand...?" and before we can answer he will automatically say "yea you do its easy".
If you have him in a big lecture hall don't show up its pointless. It only helps to know where he's up to teaching in class. Has to realize were not economists. Buy aplia homeworks are mostly on quizlet. Tests are hard average grade is about 60-65. If he didn't curve big time I would say stay away but he does so take him.
Amazing professor all around hands down best professor in qc so intelligent , inticing and inspiring
Me and my friend both got 50's on the midterm and 70's on the final and he curved us to get a B in the class. Homework answers can be found online. When he curves you to a B when you failed the exams i think anyone would take him again
Professor Bradbury is a nice guy, but as a whole the class didn't learn as much. You could find the same powerpoints online and self study without even going to class. He assigns online hw and the answers are online. My only recommendation is to go when there is a review day as hints are dropped. Other than that he gives a huge curve. Easy A
Wonderful
This professor is hot, but that doesn't change the way he teaches. He thinks very highly of himself and talks about himself most of the lectures. Midterm was very hard. Teaching is not his forte.
Hes hot great. but teaching is a no. Have to really understand the material in order to pass the tests but he mostly spends the time talking about himself then teaching any material. Its an easy class but have to come in with mindset that you will be teaching yourself this semester. Its a free broadway show.
The best. Haters below clearly are mad but get over yourselves !!!! Dr Bradbury is the best Econ professor in the school, you'll regret not taking him !!
He's too knowledge to be teaching undergrads. He should be teaching grad students only, as they will already know what he is talking about. The reason i say this is because he teaches economics like we all know the material, most of us are lost because he teaches like we've taken previous econ classes. On the upside he's hot.
Great Prof., Class was curved a lot. Lectures are sometimes interesting and sometimes can be a bit boring.
He is not good at teaching. Very vague about what will be on exams. He is smart and knows his stuff but doesn't know how to teach ppl that are just learning. Dr. Bradbury needs to teach grad students who just need a guide not lessons. He loves talking about himself more than he talks about the course.
One of the best professors in the history of queens college. I highly recommend all of the Econ/Accounting/Finance majors to take him. He challenges your knowledge and treats you as a real college student. what a great professor
Amazing amazing amazing amazing !!!!!!!!!!!!! Everyone agrees!!!
The fact that this guy is one of the best for econ in queens is sad. Guy should just teach grad students. Tests are hard. Class is curved or else 85% would get under a B-,Most getting D and C's and tons of F
I took this professor for the first time. Heard a lot about him, didnt like his teaching style in the first few weeks. I felt like as he rush through things, but once i got up to speed, it was a breeze. Very inspirational with a lot of life experience. One of the chillest prof i ever met in QC. Easy A if you come to class..
Didn't like his teaching style, but he's passionate about the subject and talks a lot about his experiences. Can be vague on what will be on exams so don't bother with the text, but he throws in things mentioned in class. Curves amazingly!
Two test and weekly homework. Just read the chapter in the textbook before you go to class to understand everything that's going on. HUGE curve. Don't panic if you don't do well on the tests, just do really well on the Homeworks and you'll do great. Plus he is really funny and tries to make his lectures interesting.
Brings lots of personal experience to the class, makes it far more interesting to have real things to relate the material to. Goes off topic frequently. Learned a lot from the lectures but tests were tough - they didn't reflect the material well at all. Curves a good deal. Good guy, but tests are out of whack and don't line with material.
Literally every sentence he says ends with "right?". If you have him right now, you're nodding your head in agreement as you read this comment. He's one funny prof, goes off topic a lot, do pay attention as he rambles about his life because he asks questions on the exam about random sh*t he said.
Very handsome!
Professor Bradbury is amazing. He really knows his field and gives you so much helpful information. There are 2 tests and weekly homework, but as long as you pay attention in class, take good notes, and read through the textbook it shouldn't be a problem. Make sure to study for his tests, but he is amazing and I would love to take him again.
The TA warned us about the average grade is 60s before the midterm. Been studied hard and still received a 60 for my midterm. Lol my GPA killer. He is really funny as a person but the exam is way too hard than the lecture he teaches in class. Textbook is Ebook and he assigns weekly reading HW and weekly quiz there. Hope he will curve curve curve.
Midterm was super tough. Homework a big chunk of the grade. Joined the class late and missed two assignments hopefully that won't hurt. Study study study. Gives a curve so we'll see what happens
Well, I got a 74 on the midterm and a terrible 60 on the final. Hopefully the curve is a blessing but its not toking good. Pray for me ya'll. But speaking on bradbury he's a good prof and makes it clear what you'll be graded on. I'd just recommend you read the textbook since lectures may be a little unclear
53 on the midterm and 80 on the final. Really waiting on that curve cause I'm looking pretty screwed right now. The class in general is easy the homework is easy. The test are hard . Seriously do the readings that are assigned and pay attention to the homework. Pray for me guys.
Don't take if you're someone who gets anxious every time you have to write a paper cuz then you'll go nuts. Otherwise, this is a great class. 4 papers and a group presentation. His lectures are very educational (he likes to go off topic) & you'll actually learn a lot if you want . Very possible to get a good grade. Should really be a 'w' class.
Best. Absolute best. Qc Econ dept did an amazing job hiring him! Real gen, exquisite!
Prof. Bradbury was super chill & handsome. His lectures were in depth and most of them related to every day life which was extremely helpful when learning & understanding certain concepts. His tests were hard, but fair. As long as you pay attention (sit up front) & read the textbook/do good with the homework assignments, you'll be fine.
He is a good professor. He might go off topic, but listen! as they might appear on the exams. The exams are a bit tricky so attend lecture and look at the textbook as well. You will be fine as long as you keep up with him! Very friendly and is always ready to answer questions!
Hes an ok professor. His exams are really difficult and his lectures aren't that great. I only learned something when his TA did a review session. I'd take him if he was the last econ professor available.
Best best best must take him absolute best and so gorgeous
Great professor, very handsome. Do your homework, take notes and read.
Bradbury does not curve at all I tried to gasp the information the best of my ablitys but I just couldn't understand . I'm a senior and because of him I will not be graduating and starting my career I will have to stay back another semester because of him . Which hurts me dearly I feel he should ease up on the hard exams , and actually teach .
I wouldn't recommend him for 201 he is very difficult. He does not curve I got 66 and 72 and he gave me a D+ which is terrible should of just gave me a C-
Bradbury ,thinks highly of himself you wont learn a thing from his class besides the work you take home to learn on your self i would not recommend anyone to take his class if you dont know the material because you will fail the course ,people who are rate him as being good is lying .
Hes an okay professor should provide better extra credit course is very tough and lectures are boring esspecially in a room filled with 200 students very hard to gather the information .and understand it
Hes a cool professor but ,very hard class to understand the material is very difficult i would recommend the professor to give a opportunity to curve people grades very intense class ,hard to gather the material with class full of students .
He was very polite and if you do the work you'll get good grades. He is very handsome!!
The best of the best. He is well respected. He knows the material very well. I highly recommend you to take his class. HE IS AWESOME!
his lectures are great. interesting, and never gets boring. while i find the material to be difficult, he explains it alot better than the texbook does. you can learn alot in this class if you pay attention. my only problem with this class is that the online homework does not match the textbook used for this class.
Too many dad jokes
Bradbury is a solid choice if you're looking to take a flexible core requirement. The course is overall pretty easy. You buy a $120 e-book and do weekly HW for 30% of your grade. The midterm and the final are the rest of your grade. Lectures are not mandatory but go anyway he will sneak in a bunch of questions based on them. He curves BIGLY
online homeworks counted for a good chunk of the grade and he gave us months to od them. there's rarely a good 201 course taught, but he is not the worst, probably in between. prepping for midterm/final was very hard, but he curved.
The professor would rant about his life for extremely long periods of times. When it came to an important topic that the class would want to take notes on he would start talking in super speed making it impossible to note on in a room with 200 people. Uploading PowerPoints will drastically help because his drawings looked like hieroglyphics.
I probably shouldnt be leaving a review because I only went to class like four times but here it goes: Professor Bradbury is super hot.. Like offputtingly handsome.. But class was like 80% stories 15% relevant material. The last 5% was all a blur. His rugged good looks always got the best of me. Tests were tough but the curve was insane.
Took Bradbury for economics 101 and overall hes a handsome, laid back professor. The class was fair, with homework every other week as well as a midterm and final. For the exams, make sure to study the online homework and pay attention to the examples he mentions during lecture.
Chill professor, I took him for Econ 101 and 201. Hes enthusiastic about economics and you can sense his passion. Both classes were great; dont listen to the bad Reviewers! He throws lecture based questions. This guy is awesome since he curves amazingly and offers FINAL REDEMPTION. Bradbury youre definitely the man! Thanks for a wonderful time!
He is a cool prof, but tends to digress. He Is knowledgeable and willing to help during and outside of class and during the exams. He uses Aplia as hw and it costs $130, which accounts for 30% of your grade. He does not provide reviews for the exams. He gets annoyed by the little things like leaving early or talking to others. He will call you out.
You need to buy your own homework for about $130 + tax. Figured I'd mention that since its enough of a deal breaker for many students. Other than that he isnt too bad. He knows his stuff but tends to go off topic.
He talks a lot about his own life. Exams were all multiple choice. Great guy and easy A. - Attractive - at Fordham btw
Best Professor! Must take! I wish I can take him again
Interesting character who spent half the semester talking about his life and miscellaneous topics (e.g. income inequality, budget deficit) but had to rush through the course. Only two homeworks, one midterm and a final. Easy A but as an economics major, this class may have hurt me in the long run.
Not a good professor, he comes to class half the time talking about his own life. There is no review sheets for the class and his exams questions are very hard.
received an A in the class, got decent grades on the tests but did very well on the homeworks. He is a good grader or maybe I'm just that good? the answer is the same as how many licks it takes to get to the center of a tootsie pop. the world may never know.
Best Econ professor at QC! He gives a midterm, final and online HW assignments before each exam for practice. Gives pointers during the lectures on what may show up on the exams. Really smart guy, very patient and genuinely wants us to learn.
Like most econ professors at QC... get on their good side! Make sure to get him on the days he's on-campus and stay engaged too. You will do well if you try to learn the material yourself (if you're not good at that this course will go way over your head)
He is a very interesting person, has a lot of life stories to share however the material presented in class has nothing to do with what we are learning. Tests 80% of the class so if you do bad on 1 ur basically screwed. Get ready to read
He gives you 4, 4-6 pg papers for this class, a group presentation and midterm and final. It sounds like alot but he gives you alot of time to do it. He is nice and laid back to me. He curves too.
He spends majority of the class talking about his life and tries to connect it to lecture. But I don't see it. There's no notes in class it's just slides that come from the textbook. I felt like I was teaching myself the material the whole time. There are only 2 exams and homework on every chapter. Avoid him unless it's the only option.
Had him during the Covid-19 phase. Im not gonna lie, hes absolutely hot. He pulls most of his questions from his lectures onto the exam to penalize people who skip class. The first few weeks of his class were bizarre. But its always good to show up at him office hrs. He also doesnt let you redo hws, doesnt give review sheets or review at all.
His grading criteria is clear 30% Hws, 35% midterm, and 35% Final. He got off topic a lot and would talk about his life (pre-covid CUNY shutdown). His exam questions are from lecture so you need to show up or in my case watch his pre recorded lecture videos. Take him if you need the credit.
He is a very smart professor. Sometimes to smart for his own good as I felt at times confused because of that. Econ is tough and you have to be willing to put in the work to succeed. Graded on midterm, final and online homework. He is a solid choice as a Professor for econ 101. He is always willing to answer questions. He also curves a TON!
Online 4 week summer class. Midterm and final are BB exams and are fairly easy. Chegg is your best friend. Not really mandatory to watch his lectures but he explains things nicely. $120 for a HW program just for 4 weeks. I didnt purchase it. I used the 2 week trial and completed the HWs. Just dont tell him. Not bad at all for ECON 101.
I took his class online, Summer session 1, which is 4 weeks. The load is pretty heavy and homework was hard. However, his final was so easy, which pulled up my grade and he gives 10% for participation just like that. He does not really curve but I struggled in the beginning because hw was hard but his lectures are important. Take him during summer.
Took him during summer 1 and he is a solid choice. HW, midterm, and final all 30%. You need to listen closely to lectures because he drops small things like that in the final. My final crashed and he was kind to reopen it for me. Great prof in QC econ unlike others in this department.
He's a good professor. Pre-recorded lectures and in order to do hw you have to pay $120 to get the program (which I did not like). For me it was pretty hard, you have to put in the hours to really understand econ, overall it wasn't that bad. 2 tests all mc on bb sufficient time, mainly conceptual, watch the lectures and attend office hours.
The pre-recorded lectures was terrible. They didnt help at all. Had to read the textbook to understand everything.
Best professor. If you want an A take him
Prerecorded lectures were not so helpful. Basically had to each myself with the textbook. There is hw every week which was quite difficult. Exams were all multiple choice and it is very hard if you do not have good notes to study on. Overall, I do not recommend this professor for an online class.
I had to pay 120 for the software and the hws were a bit confusing. He says that he will email you back in abt a day, which is not true. He responds very rudely and takes abt 4 days to respond. Also, his grammar and spelling are horrendous. The recorded lectures did not help me at all. Don't take him unless you absolutely need (asynchronous class)
Lots of lectures, but most of the stuff he says is mumbo jumbo and you can just skip to the parts where it matters. Decent workload, but the midterm and finals are worth a large part of the grade. However, he curves his grades. I should have received a C but was curved to a B instead. Otherwise a decent class for credit.
Professor Bradbury was a joy to have. He does tend to talk a lot about his life, however he always ties it back to the material. He is hilarious and I would gladly take him again
The class was very fair and straightforward. It was honestly the least stressful class I had this semester. Everything was organized and really self-explanatory on blackboard. The material wasn't that bad. Definitely a recommended class to take.
I took his econ101 class in the spring semester of 2022 and no matter what, his lectures were always interesting. He would always make jokes to keep the class engaged. Attendance isn't mandatory. He doesn't give too much hw, but he does offer a lot of practice assignments which isn't mandatory. Doesn't give quizzes. Exams are fairly difficult tho.
he's great. He tries to keep the class engaged with jokes/stories about himself/ his life and associates it with the material we are learning. Attendance is not mandatory, but I encourage you to attend because he drops some questions in the tests about things he mentions in class. Read the book and study you'll do fine. Tests are fairly hard.
Bradbury has two exams all semester both worth 30% each, homework (weekly) also 30% and a 10% participation (he gives to everyone). Attendance is not mandatory. However his lectures are very entertaining and informative. I got 50's on both exams and somehow got a B (exam averages were low!). He's a good guy and maybe a little too hot to be a prof!
Got mixed feelings about Prof. He's entertaining at times and boring other times. Went to class VERY few times and he sorted was annoying about the poor attendance. He loves bragging which made his class uncomfortable for me. If you go to class, take good notes, do self-studying (he gives weekly hw) then you're good. 2 midterms and he curves.
Honestly He was a cool Professor, hella chill. But it was my mistake that I didn't put enough work to this class. He curves big time tho.
If you're actually interested in learning macroecon, he's the professor for you. He does a great job at connecting real life events to topics being taught in class. He does talk about his life but it's usually related to what is being discussed in class too. He's very knowledgable and a fair grader. One of the best econ professors I've had so far.
Just downright awful. SO MUCH HOMEWORK, like it could take 3-4 hours every week. He straight up tries to explain a topic for maybe a minute, and then goes on a tangent for two hours about something completely irrelevant to the class, making the homework so hard to complete. Save your GPA, you'll thank me later.
he is a delight! his material is quite easy if you just attend all his classes. he maintains engaged with the class, as well as mini side conversations and storytimes that take up class time. his midterm is fair and he does curve but only on the final. honestly its an easy class just stay on top of your homework, take notes and attend class !
This guy needs help. Terrible professor.
If you care about your GPA, don't take this man.
trust me, you don't want to take this professor. He is not the one. RUNNNN
He is a totally waste of your time and money.
So a lot of people tend to write fake reviews bc they don't get the grade they desired to get, however, Bradbury is a solid pick. 2 exams (midterm) and (final) 30% each. HW is 30% of your grade (On Cengage) and participation is 10% of your grade which he gives out as free to everyone in the class. He curves the final grade as well a good amount.
HATED THIS COURSE. So lecture heavy but he gets off track so easily this class was so bad everyone fails the grades. The homework is graded on how well you do and it is so hard. There is 3 things for the grade break down. Midterm, final, homework. There is a curve because a lot of kids fail
NO. Just no. Do not take this man if you want to pass. He's rude and doesn't care about his students.
He is disrespectful.
Runn!!!!
Bradbury's ECO101 class is engaging, with interesting lectures and jokes to keep you hooked. The workload is manageable if you attend class, read the textbook, and use resources like unstuckstudy ai to prepare for exams.
Decent 101 course in Economics. Just pay attention to off hand things he says in lectures because he may throw them on the tests.
Bradbury's classes are hilarious, he goes on mini-tangents that take up class time but pertain to the lesson (and may show up on exams), and he's super knowledgable on everything economics-related. Grades are made up by a midterm and final, weekly homework done online, and a few career-search related assignments where you make a resumé for example.
Professor Bradbury is the best professor I've had at Frodham. He is extremely good at connecting class content to his students and current events. He's funny and very laid back. Willing to help and excited about class discussions outside of his presentations.
Had him for microeconomics at Fordham, great teacher! decent and interesting lecturer. Class homework was super light, one online quiz a week then all the midterm questions were copied and pasted from the quizzes.
Dr. Bradbury is a great professor. The course is very lecture-heavy and focuses much more on theory than math. If you understand the basics of macro, you'll be fine, but definitely study a lot for the exams. If you attend class and stay engaged, he'll recognize your face, since his classes are pretty large.
The class is extremely boring. My best advice: Never go to the class read the textbook the week leading up to a test. In reality he asks super weird questions on the exam that even if you knew every single answer you still wouldn't be able to get 100. He phrases things like what was the example i used w X. But could be all options. Just a weird guy
