Professor S works us hard but we actually learn. I took classes were I was bored and did a lot of busy work but still failed. Professor S is funny and teaches. I passed the ACT because of him last year. I highly recommend this instructor.

This teacher is soooo easy. It's not so easy to the point where he is bad but you just understand everything. I passed the class in what seemed like weeks and owe it to his smoothness. He has a really nice humor and although he may curse at times, is on a level where you are not intimidated to talk to him.

His teachings are simple but productive. He leaves tons of homework so, don't take his classes if you hate homework. He is super honest but his words are harmless. Professor Sarkowicz is hands down the best English teacher I've ever had the good fortune to learn from. His reading assignments are thought provoking and that makes writing so much easier. He goes over everything and even brings in samples to help us see how he grades. I wish he were teaching ENG102. Don't take him if you are easily offended!

I thought it was going to be a demanding and difficult class.. and it was, but at the same time Prof. Sarkowicz made it fun and interesting. Professor Sarkowicz made English 101 fun and exciting. He was straight forward and honest with his advise but he never made you feel inadequate. He actually motivated me to move forward with writing. If you are lucky to have him as a professor, I promise you will be in for a interesting session.

if you're having trobule in writing or havent done it in years, i highly recommend taking him. He is very helpful and understandable and most of all a fair grader. When you first start taking his class, you may think it's alot of work but as long as you take a couple hours out of your date to do his work, you will be in good shape. no text books

This is by far the best professor I've had. He's an amazing teacher but what I appreciate about him the most is his constant correspondence with the class via email. He would send us emails reminding us of assignments due, or while correcting our assignments he would tell us how well the class is doing so far, and he even wishes us happy holidays.

Considering this was a pretty late class Professor Sark was always hilarious and provided great and interesting material. This class wasn't easy, but if you try and follow the instructions he very clearly lays out for you, you will do well. I will miss his class! I wish all my classes were this enjoyable.

Professor sarkowitz emails you weekly with assignments so you don't forget and gives you a chance to make things up. Just don't wait too long. What can I say except... hands down, one of the best professors at LaGuardia. In no way am I trying to insinuate that his course is easy. It's not! His grades can be a bit low but he lets you rewrite it after doing a draft so its on you if you don't take advantage. He is funny but not mean. I know some people don't have a sense of humor. They shouldnt take

Professor Sarkowitzprovided the coursework weeks before due so we could see and do what we could at our pace. He responded to my emails always fast. I loved the class and laughed a lot. But I felt he really cared about us.

Sark lets you know how it is. He explains things clear and offers to explain a different way if you don't get it. The man emails twice a week to check on you and tell what te homework is. Just BE ON TIME and do the work and you can pass. If you is late alot or absent, do not take this man. But if you come to class and do the right thing he great.

Funny, fair, nice man. Easy to talk with.

Professor Sarkowicz is a great teacher who makes the class enjoyable with his sense of humor. He's clear about his expectations, and if you put in the work, you'll get a good grade. I found unstuck study super helpful for preparing for his assignments.

Take this teacher. You won't regret. Smart, funny, and supportive. I fail this class before but now get A. Just don't be lazy.

Last semester I had his class and I was worried I would not do well as English is not my first language. He posted grammar stuff for students like me to help. It did. I used to hate writing but now not so much. He made me not afraid to write.

Amazing professor! Gets to know his students really well. He makes it as easy as possible for students to get resources such as third party programs and resources inside the school. I would definitely recommend this teacher if you are just getting used to college.

No extra credit but just do you work. You can pass. Mr. Matthew give us a paper day one that tells all we will cover. He post assignments two weeks early too. Stay on top of work and he help you.

Fun class but not for lazy people. If you work for your grade you can get a decent one. I wanted an A but got B, but Mr. S explained clearly why I got my grade. It's on me. Fair and nice.

Great professor! My only minor “issue” is that assignments are submitted through G Docs, so his feedback comes in the form of comments. Personally, I don't find them very helpful since they're brief. That said, his readings are engaging, and he's very charismatic. He also does a great job of keeping you on track and reminding upcoming deadlines.

Don't be late or absent too much! Get your work done on time. You will pass if you do. He is fair but strict with attendance.

Just saw my grade in email. Happy about it. This guy is cool and helped me alot. Take him if you can.
