Really intelligent and very good teacher. His powerpoint lectures are helpful but doesn't give you all the information, you need to come to class for in depth details. Tests are straightforward. Easy grader and is enthusiastic everyday in class. My only problem is that he gives too much homework for a 100 level class but overall good professor

Friendly, funny guy with immense passion for what he does. His lectures are crystal clear and he loves to make jokes. He provides a half-complete note set so you don't have to feverishly write down everything he says, and generally, you get from it what you put in. If you need your AUCC science credits fulfilled, this is a great class.

Matt is an awesome professor. He is very enthusiastic about the subject matter. He gives an extensive set of practice questions before every exam so you can be prepared. Also, he usually provides one or more of the short answer questions during lectures.

Matt has an amazing lecture experience. He gets more and more excited as his lectures go on and it shows. He does talk pretty fast but if you ask questions he's more than happy to help you. Recitations are a pain, but I love the class because Matt is great.

M@ was the T.A. for my Insect Science class, but he lectured when the professeur was out. He is great! He will help you as much as you need. If he is doing a study session for an exam, then you would be wise to go. I cannot recommend him enough. No book is needed, but buy the note book. It is helpful.

The class is really cool unless bugs really gross you out but he makes it fun and interesting. There is an iclicker quiz every Friday though.

Matt is very passionate about bugs, so he knows what he is talking about. Class was pretty easy. Showing up on quiz days is important. He is also funny. No reading/textbook. Quizzes, 4 online exams, and a project completes your grade. Would take a course with him again.

I've taken his bugs class, and he continues to drop jaws. He is passionate about what he lectures. Very knowledgable about his field. He cares about his students, and is great to sit and have a coffee with. I would take this class over again if I could.

Wow, literally went to maybe 5 lectures and passed this class with an A-. No bother to show up and the tests are online, even the final. Great course to get credit for those AUCC classes. 10/10 would highly recommend. You have to go to the recitation but those are fun hands on activities so it doesn't feel like work.

Matt Camper is the best professor I've had at CSU. I took his plants class for an AUCC credit and never expected it to be my favorite class. He is so passionate about what he teaches and actually wants you to learn. I definitely recommend taking a class with Matt, even if you think don't have any interest in plants or bugs, he'll change your mind.

Matt is amazing. He is super knowledgeable, understanding, caring and compassionate about what he does. If you miss a quiz, just email him why you missed class and he should let you make it up in office hours. I would recommend going to office hours and getting to know him because it will really help! I learned so much in this class!

Matt has great lectures that are very detailed. He does an extra credit in-class assignment once a month. The lecture is worth 50% of your grade and there are not any big projects except a 6-8 argument paper that is quite difficult. Other than that his exams are online. He is very caring for the students and cares about his class. Class act guy.

Fun teacher, very passionate and has contagious energy

Matt teaches bugs in the spring, but in the fall with Whitney Cranshaw is still awesome because Matt is who you contact if you need help or anything. Which he is good about making time for you and helping you study for exams which I highly recommend doing. Just go to class and take notes and then you'll have one big project start it early!

2nd favorite teacher ever! He gives pop "quizzes" every now and then, but otherwise attendance isn't tracked. However, I would attend his lectures in my free time if I had the chance! He's super passionate about his subject matter, and it made this class a Jem! I loved his class so much I'm taking his other class this semester (BSPM102).

This is the best 3 credit science course to take at CSU! Camper genuinely wants you to learn and have fun doing it! Grading criteria is very clear and he is super willing to help!

Matt is a great professor! I took the class with Dr. Cranshaw but Matt taught lecture a few times and I absolutely loved his teaching style! The class is really interesting and you learn a lot, and as long as you follow the study guide and read the instructions for the project, you will do great! Matt Camper is the mf man, seriously take this class. He's really great, and the class is actually really interesting. There are in class writing assignments every so often, so going to class is pretty much mandatory. The class is an easy A as long as you actually show up.

Professor Camper is super knowledgable and very understanding. As long as you show up to class and take all the notes you should easily pass. He does have a pop quizzes though that can sometimes be difficult so just make sure you have all the notes. Overall super nice professor!

If you can take BSPM-102, you should. Prof. Camper is the best professor I have had in my entire school life. It doesn't get better than this. Can you avoid watching lectures and still pass? Yeah definitely. But you will WANT to watch the lectures. He makes them so fun. If you don't like bugs, you will after this class.

Super fun class with Camper. Before the exams, you can go to his office hours and take pics of his notes. This means you don't need to go to class at all. Matt is also unfailingly kind and respectful to everyone in his classroom, and more than willing to explain anything either in class or outside it. The way Matt makes his lectures feel like I am watching a live nature documentary always impresses me. I can tell he really cares and puts the best effort he can into every lecture. As far as course work is concerned it isnt full of busy work and provides value to the class witch I highly respect.

He is one of my favorite professors ever. He is so caring and 102 is super easy. The only advice I have is don't not go to classes for a long period of time because there are in random in class quizzes that will affect your grade if you miss more than one.
