Very helpful, goes above and beyond for students.
Really tough instructor. Tells some students what's specifically going to be on the test and won't inform others. Doesn't grade in a timely fashion. He makes Intro to A&P 1,000 x harder than it should be.
A&P is a tough subject. If you show up to class AND study you will pass. ALL of his test are based from his lecture notes and he even makes study guides. Your success is contingent upon your effort. Mat is knowledgeable of the subject material and is willing to help, but you have to ask for it. ACC could use more professors like him. Good job Matt!
A&P is a tough subject. Your success in this class is contingent upon your efforts. All of his exams are from the lecture notes and he even writes a study guide for his exams. The practicals are tough due to the models that ACC provides. He's str8 to the point and doesn't hand out A's, they are earned.
Awesome professor! Hilarious, easy going. Always interested in questions. Extremely hard class to take, but he makes it SO interesting and enjoyable. He has so much knowledge on the subject and always makes lectures worth listening to. I never thought I could understand the subject -- he makes it enjoyable! TAKE HIM! :)
This guy was really good. Worked with me ,u was patient, if i didnt understand something he took the time to clarify it. I love the fact that he gave study guides for the exams and he also gave extra credit for those in need. You are the best matt!
What a seriously wonderful professor Matt is, and he likes for you to call him Matt. He's not your "best friend", but he is so passionate about what he teaches -- and he makes you really enjoy it too! Always making modern day medicine examples. Makes every subject interesting with stories, visuals.. seriously, get him. He's awesome.
Matt is an AMAZING professor! Success is contingent upon your dedication to studying in and out of the classroom. He is always there to help and genuinely wants you to succeed! It also doesn't hurt that he is good looking!
Awesome professor! This definitely wasn't an easy class but it was fun and if you show up and do what is required you will do great! He is always willing to help and answer any questions. He also provides awesome exam reviews. I highly recommend this professor for any class he teaches! :)
Hilarious!! Makes the class interesting and is extremely helpful. Take him if you can!
Matt is great. He is willing to slow down an entire class and explain a topic over again so that even just one or two students can come up to speed. Study his lectures- no book needed. Don't blame him for a bad grade- he's not going to give you points back. I respect the hell out of this man. He knows his stuff, and he's a devoted teacher.
This is literally one of the best teachers I have ever had. Never thought in a million years I would find any kind of science class interesting. He genuinely cares about his students and what specific career path is ahead for them. He lets you know exactly what you need to study and is straight forward. TAKE THIS TEACHER! He is hilarious too!
Mathew Belzer was a an absolute delight. From my perspective, he was very knowledgeable, but modest and humble. He was the most helpful instructor that I've had to date, and I've studied at three other colleges and universities. His style was a little unorthodox, but very effective. His door is always open for his students. Two thumbs up!!
Matt was an awesome professor, not only was he knowledgeable in the subject but he made it interesting throughout the semester. He continuously made himself available to answer questions during and after class. Do not take my 4 rating for easiness lightly, as with any class, it takes hard work and plenty of study time to get an A!
Great teacher! Very helpful. Willing to answer any questions, explains things very clearly and will work with you as much as needed for you to get it. Very straight forward exams. He tells you exactly what to expect on the tests. Highly recommend this teacher. It's still a difficult class but he makes it as bearable as possible.
Hands down, the best teacher for Physiology! YOU MUST TAKE HIS CLASS. You will not be disappointed. He was my favorite teacher in any subject I have ever taken at ACC. Physiology is challenging, but he will do everything he can to make sure you have grasped the concepts. Ask him for help early on if you need it. Now go register for his class!
For an unbelievable tough course, you must stay motivated to pass this class.Matt goes above and beyond making sure that you understand the concepts and know what is important for your degree. He is highly knowledgeable in Physio and the nursing field.Find a study group and talk to your classmates, use the discussion board!Study hard and never give up
Fantastic professor. Any college or university would be lucky to have Matt as a educator.
Matt is awesome! He makes sure you get and understand the concepts. This class is very memory intensive, so start studying very early on. Exams and practicals are moderately easy if you studied hard. Fair grader. It's possible to make an A it's all up to you! TAKE ANATOMY WITH MATT! He makes class intriguing and fun, plus he's brilliant!
Matt was a very good teacher! He isn't one of those boring professors, he is energetic and makes learning fun!! I suggest you take him as a teacher over anyone else!! STUDY HARD!
Great teacher. He reaaly prepares you for future classes and really tries to instill knowledge. He really cares about you passing and doing well. willing to stay after class or coming early. Funny and Makes learning Super fun and interesting
Matt is awesome, great teacher, He make sure you understand the concept. He is extremely helpful and nice. Matt prepares you for future and and he will guide you, if you need.Matt is the best. I wish he teach micro biology and pharmacology as well :) Take class with Matt you will learn and have fun!
Matt is a great teacher!! He gave us the resources to be successful & guided us through! Anatomy is not easy, but his delivery method is easy to follow. Matt lays a strong foundation which will be helpful in later classes!! Expect to work hard & you'll do great!!
Take him Take him Take Him! Physiology is tough and this is my 2nd time taking it, dropped after realizing I may just barely make a C. Matt is entertaining, and teaches you ONLY what you need to know for nursing. He doesn't spend time going into stuff that you will not need, like that other Physiology professor. still have to work for that A or B
Hands down, the best professor ever. He's one hell of a guy, and HE CARES. If I had to take him again, I would in a heart beat. Thanks Matt!
I took Matt in an 8 week session. He works really hard to maintain your attention and keep the class interesting and fun. Also if your having some stuff going on at home he will work with you to help you keep up with the class and maintain your grade! He has an awesome teachers heart and I recommend him to anyone entering the medical field!
Matt is a very fair professor. He gave extra credit to help the people who were teeter tottering between grades. He was willing to stay after if you had questions. He didn't just want you to memorize things he really wants you to know it. I took him for anatomy and physiology. He can come across sarcastic but I think deep down he is a sweet guy.
HE IS AWESOME! He is clear on the material & tells you only on what you need to know. He wants you to understand how the process works vs. memorization. So be prepared to answer questions when asking him a question. Gives a lot of extra credit, test & quiz's are fair. He is only preparing you, so take advantage & take him for Anatomy & Physiology!
Matt is awesome. Very smart guy. More than anything, he cares about his students and dedicates a TON of his personal time to study sessions, staying after class, etc. This is NOT an easy A, but you will learn a ton if you attend class and pay attention. Tests are lecture-based. I didn't even buy a textbook.
Matt is great at what he does. Physiology is a tough subject but he gives a lot of information . He talks really fast in power point presentations and in class so recording his lectures helped, if you actually go back and listen to them. Outside assignments seemed like a pain but they are there for easy points to get the grade you want. Take him!
Matt is one of a kind.. very scatterbrained but a genius. He puts A LOT of his own time and effort into making his lectures and tests. He makes sure you know the material and not just memorizing it. He moves at a fast pace so being in class in beneficial. I didn't like the abstracts he makes us read but liked extra credit he offered at the end.
I hated anatomy, and my professor would always scare us about physiology and what to expect, but Matt has made it a very pleasurable experience. You are in college level courses, and they are difficult science courses so it is not a walk in the park but if you put in hard work and do all of your assignments, it is easy to succeed in Matt's class!
Matt is willing to take the time and explain diffc. concepts wyou. Very approachable, RECORD the lectures. Memorization will only help so little he will always probe your understanding of difficult subjects on most tests but all LAB QUIZZES. During lectures he will heavily emphasize certain concepts that he will put on exams. Do the extra credit.
If you take Anatomy as a summer class beware. It is a TON of memorization. I found a physical copy of the text book to not be necessary. Do ALL the extra credit. Take good notes during lecture, and memorize everything in the lab handouts and an A should be in your reach. He is an awesome teacher and clearly cares about teaching BIO.
AMAZING professor who is passionate about what he does & it shows. He is brilliant & cares deeply about the success of each of his students. Gets to know you on a first name basis & goes out of his way to help you learn & do well. Book not required but does a lot to help reinforce lectures (I recommend it). Not easy, lots of work & memorization.
Great teacher, very good at explaining a subject that is by no means easy. Lectures can be pretty long. I recommend recording all of them. His tests can be tough, but he gives you so many other ways to earn points. Do the homework, do the handouts, and try your best on his lab quizzes!! Final will replace lowest exam grade. I would recommend him.
Great Professor! Test are based on power points and he repeats certain sentences that will be on an exam! He's helpful and will be willing to answer questions. Somewhat easy class, STUDY and you will succeed! Definitely would recommend him for A&P. He's an overall excellent and knowledgeable teacher!
This course requires a lot memorization so must study. He is young, funny, and smart Professor. He likes talk and very knowledgeable but he seems to talk to students who already knows or work in the medical field. If you want to learn something, take him. If you want to find more friendly and nice Professor, find another Professor.
The best educators are the ones that inspire their students. That inspiration comes from a passion that teachers have for the subject they're teaching. Most commonly, that person spent their lives studying that subject, and they bring an infectious enthusiasm to the audience. Neil deGrasse Tyson You MUST work hard, but he is amazing.
One of my favorite professors I've ever had! Matt is very knowledgeable and tries to narrow down the content. He always kept my attention, young and hilarious. A lot of busy work outside of class. Study the class handouts and powerpoints for exams. Lab is optional most days, I study best alone so I always left and made an "A" in the class.
Matt is comical and a genius. I would advise growing thick skin if you plan on taking him for anatomy or physiology, or getting into the medical field for anything of that matter. This class is not a walk in the park by any means, so dedicate your time/resources getting as many points as possible. Lectures are interesting and very organized!!!
Matt was a cool professor to have, hes entertaining with his lectures, clear on what it is that he expects you to know and gives you all the materials you could ever need to be successful in the class. He does his own lab review videos that go over exactly what you need to know and plenty of extra credit options. Excellent adviser &great professor
Matt's lectures are practical and straightforward. He gives you everything you need to know on the exams, and emphasizes certain concepts and words, over and over. He has a sarcastic personality but he is approachable and deeply cares for his students. Learned a lot from this guy! 10/10 would recommend
Professor Belzer is always willing to help any student who asks & makes time. He expects you to work hard because he wants you to be successful in the field you choose. A passionate teacher may seem hard but they push their students to be the best they can be & he does that. I respect a teacher who has those qualities & I do plan to take him again
Matt was awesome! His lectures are clinically oriented, and really drive home what you need to know before entering the nursing program. The class was not easy, but with hard work I was able to get an A. Homework easily takes double the estimated time. Download the textbook from a bit torrent site, and study lecture handouts for exams.
If you study and understand to his lecture and lab handouts, you'll get an A in his class and in life. "Study smarter, not harder." Incredible prof and keeps it interesting, I looked forward to his classes.
I've taken Professor Belzer twice for different classes. He truly wants his students to succeed. His tests are never a surprise. They are always difficult and filled with information that he has went over. None of the subjects he teaches are easy and he is definitely not an easy A teacher. You have to put in the work to get the grade.
Proff. Belzer is awesome, hands down THE best, really helps, 5 test lab and lect, 1 final to drop lowest score, lots of xtra credit, hmwk, and quizzes which help your grade a lot, gets right to the point and helps out as much as he can, and helps to actually know n under. material vs just memorizing!!! I would take him again!!
Awesome teacher. I loved the way he broke down the material in an easy to understand way. If you communicate with him he will do his best to help you out. the lecture/lab test were the same every time no surprises. you must study. gives extra credit. very knowledgeable. He wants to make sure you do what you have to do to succeed! Take Mat for sure!
Professor Belzer is one of the most knowledgeable professors I have had, he prepares you for not only your test but also makes the questions relevant to a clinical setting! He truly cares for each and every student in class. There are a few questions that are copy pasted from the notes to the test, and he helps with extra credit. AWESOME PROFESSOR!
He uses lots of practical application to the healthcare world, not only form his own experience but from past students in programs now. This does make the tests tricky with critical thinking Q's, study guides are very helpful, homework was long (online lectures outside of normal lecture) but very helpful and useful to boost your grade with points.
Matt is seriously the best. Took him for a 6week anatomy course. He is organized, funny, and all material on the test comes from his lectures and handouts. He even does review videos for the practical. He genuinely cares about his students and delivers lectures smoothly. Also, he's not a morning person ;) he's charmingly abrasive haha
Matt is a really great professor. The way he breaks down material is so helpful and can totally comprehend it. the exams are based off of homework and tells you things you will need to know for exam, lab practical videos help for lab exams. And he repeats himself on things you need to know. Take him he is funny and a good professor!
Best professor ever. Caring and dedicated to help students succeed. He uses a clinical perspective which is perfect for students wanting to pursue a job in the medical field. Definietly uses a big vocabulary, but he is awesome! If you have a chance to take him, do it before there are no spots left!!!!
Best professor ever! Has a well rounded intelligence in the educational, clinical data and current research. Exams are amalgamated from substantial material provided in class & assignments- comprised of MC, matching, fill blank & short essay. Encourages students to ask questions, invested in your understanding and comprehension of the course.
The BEST anatomy professor. Embarrassing to admit but I had to take anatomy 3 different times. The first two attempts I had to withdraw due to family issues. With that being said I've tested out three different professors & Matt is holy grail. You will know EXACTLY what is on the test & he is so willing to help. Lot's of EC and only online quizzes
Belzer is a good guy who wants his students to learn. There are A LOT of assignments, stay ahead! Exams are from everything covered in lecture and lecture handouts/assignments. I studied these instead of using the study guide and got As on exams and in the class. I recommend recording lectures. If he's having a bad day you'll know it.
Belzer was a great professor, I learned a lot! However, I felt a lot of anxiety going to class b/c he has a very intense personality!! Not my style of learning.... But he's somebody you want to take if you want to get the most out of your classes. Makes everything relevant to clinicals and very smart... just very aggressive IMHO!
Great professor. He tells you things straight up & either you like it or not. His exams are straight from the lecture handouts and powerpoint so dont bother buying a book. He applies everything to a clinical setting. He can be a little intimidating but he will help if you ask for it.
matt is an awesome teacher whom i would highly recommend to anyone entering a health science field. if you can't keep up in his class, you probably should rethink your major. he gives clear instruction as to what will be on the exam so you know what to study on your own time. a&p is a class where a lot of the responsibility to learn falls on you.
He really makes you work for your grade. All test and quizzes are from lecture and handouts. Honest and friendly towards his students and fair grader. I wish I could take him for all my nursing courses.
Matt is such an awesome teacher! If you really want to learn your stuff, take Matt for sure (if he's still around)! Teaches in a way that really makes sure you know your stuff, and overly prepares you for his tests! You have to really try to not do well in his class, even with such a jam packed intro class!
Matthew Belzer was hands down the most helpful and involved professor I have ever had. He makes sure you know what to expect for the exams and the tests are based off of his handouts. He gives helpful extra credit assignments and overall I learned what I felt I needed to in order to prepare for A&P1.
The class? It sucks. Lots of work and lots of studying involved. But, the teacher? He was pretty amazing. Every single one of his tests were 100% fair. He grades you on what he teaches you. Which is why you have no chance of passing if you miss his class. Be there, take notes, and you can expect to learn a lot and pass with him!
Loved this prof! This is a tough class, but he provides you with everything you need to know. The tests are based off then handouts he gives you and what he says in lecture. He makes this class a little more bearable with his humor
Professor Belzer gives amazing lectures. You can tell he is not only knowledgeable in what he is teaching but loves what he does. This class is challenging but in a good way, you definitely will leave his class feeling prepared. I would absolutely recommend you take this class, you will not regret it!
Professor Belzer is badass. Hes super intelligent and his lectures are in depth and clear. You have to show up to class to succeed and the material is difficult but he is a fair grader and puts in a lot of effort to ensure you understand the concepts. He makes himself available after class to help even though he is super busy. Best AP prof ever.
Lecture is interesting. Exams and practicals are difficult, but he gives you all the tools needed to succeed. Funny and fair; expects more out of his Intro A&P class. Show up to class, do the work, and youll do well.
Matt is hands down the best professor I've had so far! He is an amazing teacher and does everything he can to help you succeed! The only people I've heard complain about him are the people who didn't want to put forth effort! This isn't high school, guys, time to do some work! I learned so much this semester and I'm grateful beyond words!!
Awesome professor. Lectures are engaging, with only the material you need to know. Makes his own tests based off what is covered in lecture, so its easy to study for them. Has high expectations for his students. Very knowledgable about the material and will apply the material to real-world scenarios. Would take again without hesitation.
Matt is by far the BEST professor I've had at ACC. He is very knowledgeable and challenges you because he wants to bring out the best in all of his students. He provides lots of extra credit opportunities if you show up to class and do the lecture notebook you will pass. I finished A&P1 with a C (different teacher)then finished A&P2 with an A(Matt)
You must live by the lecture handouts if you want to get an A. He tests directly from them. He talks very fast and his lectures contain A LOT of info. I would recommend recording him. He makes you work for the grade. He is blunt (sometimes rude), but very smart. Lab Practicals are powerpoints. FYI: He will give you anxiety on a daily basis.
Coolest teacher Ive had at ACC. Class was challenging but as long as you showed and gave it your best, youd be fine. Definitely would recommend
Matt Belzer is a great professor. He is very specific on his lectures and teaches them very well. I highly recommend him. Excellent instructor. Don't be intimated by his personality, he's a good man and will go out of his way to help you. Heavy amount of information in the class but it's a 4 credit course so it's normal for it to be a heavy class.
He has not only a thorough understanding of the material he teaches but also a thorough understanding of teaching methodology and applies it to the way he teaches. He has high expectations and grades tough, but he is fair in making sure he covers all material even if it means having to change the course schedule. The extra credit was nice too.
If you are part of the health science program you need to take Matt's class. He is by far the best professor I've had. Not only are the lectures interesting you are actually learning ALOT. Yes, its a lot of information. Yes some days feel longer then others but if you are willing to learn and put in the work you will make an A
A ROCK STAR of a professor! Its a tough class - easy is not always better - but he does everything he can to help his students succeed. Its disturbing how much information he can hold in his head, but hes incredibly fair, ALWAYS has time for questions both inside and outside of the classroom, and has a wicked sense of humor.
Matt is the best professor I've ever had in my entire 6 years of being in college. He gives very clear instructions on how to pass his class and will do everything to help you get there, without giving it to you! The course material is tough, but he gives you all the tools and goes above and beyond to make sure you understand it! THE smartest!!
great proffesor,definately take him again.
I seriously loved the way Matt taught. Very clear on what would need to be done and he makes you work for the grade but you won't leave unready for the next course. I like that he prides himself on being tough but he's dope. I can't wait to take him in the Fall. I took a summer class with him so it was fast and intense but awesome
Tough class but he Maes it fun.
I wish I could go back in time and tell myself that it was a mistake to take 2402 with anyone but Matt. He's a great professor and his lectures are like he's telling a story. You'll leave with a great understanding of the Na-K pump and the action potential! Great habits started early...I'm the only one in 2402 that wipes down my lab table!
Wonderful professor, very smart.
Does not grade homework until test day, mostly uses allotted lab time for him to lecture because according to him the class is always behind, lectures become side tracked often which makes it hard to keep up with the lecture handouts he makes himself, he is sarcastic and can be demeaning at times which further makes the class hard to enjoy
I took Prof. Matt both for A&P I and II, and He is an awesome professor. Pay close attention in class. take your time to do the your lab notebook and understand the concepts, attend SI sessions (if any), ask questions were need be, put in the effort because it's not an easy class. Matthew is the BEST. Passed with A's in all. I wish he taught MB
I have taken two of Matt's classes and I would take another. He is straight up and truly cares about the knowledge you are gaining before you head into an allied health program. He is professor physiology so make sure you read all material, and understand the concepts. Short answer questions on exams will test your understanding be prepared!
Matt is an amazing professor! I have taken him for two classes and would take him again in a heart beat! He relates most of what you learn to what you will see in your career field, especially nursing.
Matt has a true gift for teaching difficult concepts. He is clear about what information you are expected to know for the exams. His recorded lectures are very helpful for catching us up on content we needed to build upon and I wish I had them to continue to refer to. He is hysterical, caring, and also one of the best professors I've had!
I took professor Belzer for an summer 8 week class. His lectures were really in depth and easy to understand. You will read some what alot and have to put in alot of study hours but he really does a good job of teaching the material and explaining it in a easy way to grasp.
Matts style of teaching/interacting is extremely unprofessional & informal. Matt has a complex; he thinks way too highly of himself. Matts negative attitude & threats discourages people, causing unnecessary stress toward exams and future professions. Matt doesnt grade homework til during exams no time to course correct. Choose a caring prof!!

Great professor attendance is a must. Test are heavy but he goes over exactly what he wants you to know for both parts of the test. Very informative. I would take him again for any science courses. He really prepares you for the medical field. I recommend to any student.
Matt is probably one of the most degrading professors I've ever had. He would tell us to come to him if we had any questions but then get mad when we would ask for help. He called us horrible students and said we wouldn't get into our programs. They are short answers on exams and if it wasn't exactly what he said word for word then it was wrong!
By far the worst professor Ive taken at ACC. You obviously have to work in order to succeed in the class but man he made things 10 times harder. Always in a bad mood, everything bothered him, nothing was ever good enough for him. He made exams always tricky, got made over the binder, and it just seemed like he never wanted to help.
I do not recommend professor Belzer. Instead of helping you, he made things more harder and complicated. Made many students feel worthless. 8 exams, 1 essay, and 1 study case. He expects students to be perfect. He made short answers too difficult especially not having enough time for them.
A&P is not easy but it's way harder and stressful when you take this class with a professor like Belzer. REGRET taking this class with him.
One of the most degrading professor I have ever taken. No matter with who you take this class with, its going to be hard and you have to work for your grade, but if I would of known how professor Belzer was academically, I would of never taking this class with him.
Before COVID-19 in class, there we supposed to be 4 lecture exams and 4 lab practicals, binder grade, and quizzes for either a lec or lab. However the transition online made things hard and Matt made things even harder. Rude all the time, barely wanted to help you out, and changed exams to short answers. Expected you to be excellent on those.
This class is overall hard, so you have to put in effort but take it with a professor who wont make you feel like everything you do is not good enough. He made short answers for exams too complicated and you did not have enough time for them.
Do not recommend Matt at all. This class is hard, I get that. I know our programs wont be easy at all! But he makes it way too hard on you. Exams were hard and tricky but what made them beyond hard were short answers. He expected a whole paragraph for them and you did not have enough time! Really rude professor and overall he did not care.
I do not recommend professor Belzer. He is a very smart guy but goes way too fast during lecture, expects you to know the material well before coming into class, and short answers where just too much. One short answer has about 5-6 questions and you only have about 10 mins for each short answer. On top of that he wanted a well paragraph for each.
Terrible professor! Lectures are fast paced, short answers are hard, and he seems like he is there to help but he is just rude! He thinks too highly of himself. Makes others feel unworthy. Horrible horrible!!
By far the worst professor I have taken at ACC. He goes over lectures way too fast, he expects short answers to be perfect, and he is always in a bad mood. I regret taking this class with him.
Although he had his moments he really does care that you know the material to your best ability. Matt made class challenging but that is the point, if youre passionate about something you should be able to give it your all. He does make degrading comments here and there but you shouldnt take it to heart.
Took him spring 2020. Hands down worst professor. Yes this is an expected challenging class no matter who you take. But he is degrading, would talk bad about another class, tell us we werent ready for our programs, that those who were on their way to or had a A didnt actually deserve it.I worked hard and got an A, but will never recommend him.
I wish I had this class for a full semester face to face class instead of an online accelerated course. Dense material, lots of memorization, written and "proctored" exams. Lectures are long but entertaining. Strict no feedback on quizzes or exams so you may benefit from reviewing with others to see where your notes faltered. Soak up that EC!
This was just a Intro class and it was tough. It requires A LOT of studying. The lectures were fast paced. The short answer exams were a harder in my opinion because your answer had to be spot on to get the full credit. Also take the time to do the extra credit, it will come in hand! Just try your best.
Took the class over 8wks - it was very quickly paced. He was very clear about what we needed to study outside of class in order to succeed & his exams were fair. No surprises. He goes through lectures quickly & efficiently & communicates very effectively his expectations. He inspired me to do my best and I did. Hes a respectable and educated prof.
RUN. Lectures are WAY TOO detailed. He talks so fast (had to use slow-mo on his prerecorded youtube lectures). He has no patience with students who are having technical problems. He gets angry very easily and he is just plain rude to his students. Save yourself anxiety and pick another professor! Worst professor I've ever had!
He is the worst EVER. HE is SO rude, disrespectful, his lecture too long more than 90 min, his exams the hardest , just RUN AWYE DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS AND EVEN DO NOT THINK TO TAKE ANYTHING IF HE WAS YOUR PRO.
His test are extremely difficult so be ready. His test consists of multiple choice and short answers. He expects you to be very detailed when it come to your short answers or else you wont get credit. He has a weekly quiz open book which isn't bad. He is always grumpy and tired and talks too fast yet half what he says isnt on the test. Dont take!
Professor Belzer very hard working, he cares about his students. The lectures and tests are heavy material but that is expected in a A&PII class. Because of this, make sure to always attend class, have notes, and ask questions. His hard work has noticeable and that made him a great professor. He also gives a lot of extra credit which is awesome!
DO NOT take! He is very rude, yells at students. His short answer tests are more like essays or that's how he grades them. He thinks highly of himself and loves to belittle students. He talks really fast when lecturing and talks about unrelated things as well. He talks about other students grades as well. Please avoid taking him!
RUN RUN , DONOT EVER TAKE THIS MAN , AND IF YOU TAKE HIM YOU will end up visiting a psychologist because of what he is going to do to you.
Belzer provides handouts which he bases almost the entirety of his exams off of, and if you ever have a question or need clarity he'll answer you. He likes students who are proactive in asking for help and if you show you are trying. He changes class structure for his students' different needs often so you have to be ready to adapt.
We don't deserve Belzer. He only has 2 modes, He make the class super comprehensible and students still ask for extra credit and chances so, of course he would get irked. Anyone would be. If you can't pass Belzer's class, reconsider healthcare profession. Be warned about the 1st exam, he admits its the hardest part of the sem. It was
Belzer is legit. His lectures are thorough and everything on exams comes directly from the man's mouth. He's hilarious, incredibly smart, knows the material like the back of his hand (lectures from memory), offers an insane amount of extra credit and wants to see you succeed. If you're looking for an easy A & P class, it doesn't exist. get over it
I would definitely not take professor Belzer again even though I did make an A, it was one of the hardest classes Ive ever taken. This class is so test heavy that some of the short answer exams were actually essays and would take up to 3 hours to complete. He gave us no help on what would be covered on the short answer exams. Does give extra cred.
I cannot explain to you how awesome he is. I would definitely recommend him. I don't love online, but in person would've been better. Everyone respects him and he is so thoughtful to the students. His lectures so are interesting and fun. There was a lot of reading. The tests were moderate and the grading was fair. I really liked his professionalism
This class taught me so much and I loved having him as a professor in terms of the academics. He gives handouts with every lecture and makes it easy to miss a class if needed. That being said I left the class crying a time or two because of how angry and degrading he is. He is not motivational at all and made me question my degree many times.
Professor Belzer is a very intelligent man. This class will not be a breeze so you will really have to set some self discipline and be ready to study the material. I also took this class during the summer so it was also at a faster pace. I have learned a lot throughout this course and feel a more confident going into my degree.
This was one of the best Professors I've had. So long as you show up to class (at least when it's required or on a graded day) you will pass and he will see you're putting in the work to learn. He isn't a harsh grader, and his lectures are easy to understand. He's also funny so that's a bonus.
Absolutely amazing professor! I signed up to take A&P2 with him because of him! He's caring, funny and makes learning enjoyable. I recommend him to all students needing to take A&P. He explains info very well and wants you to learn to prepare for med programs. Curves grades at the end of the semester. Info gone over in the class is on the exams.
He prepares you for success. You cannot procrastinate. Stay on top of lecture recordings, use the handouts, and write down very detailed notes on the things that are being explained by him. You can absolutely get an A in this class. Everything on his lectures are on the exam. He truly cares about his students. You got this. There is a curve!!!
I absolutely recommend Professor Belzer. He is very caring towards his students and only wants the best for each student. I personally was unable to finish the course due to health issues, though he went out of his way to not only advocate for me, but made the course as best as he could for me 10/10 recommend. He is very thorough and knowledgeable!
Definitely recommend prof. Belzer. He makes it absolutely possible to get an A in his class if you're a student who's putting in the work and paying attention everyday. His course is test heavy but everything on the tests come directly from his mouth in lecture. It is difficult but there are curves and extra credit along the way to help you pass.
Professor Belzer is an amazing teacher! He always tries to make himself available if you need help and offers extra credit. He genuinely cares about his students and hopes they succeed in this course. It is difficult work and lecture-heavy, but as long as you ask questions and study frequently you will succeed. I would take him again and again.
Prof Belzer is the best prof I've had so far. The class is lecture and test heavy and isn't easy, but no A&P class is. He's caring and wants you to succeed and will help you do so.lectures are engaging and hes funny. He gives lots of extra credit and goes through everything you need to know for exams in his lectures. take him you won't regret it!!
A&P2 is difficult and requires a lot of outside study. Belzer made this a lot easier by providing extensive resources and practice that made my experience easier. Taking this in 8 weeks was a lot, so I would be cautious in choosing your term. He is very easy to talk to, accessible outside of class, and gives extra credit. Highly recommend him!
Mr. Belzer is amazing. He prepares you for success. Difficult class but he makes it so easy . He encourages participation and is accessible outside of class. He has prerecorded lectures videos, PowerPoint and handouts for every lecture. Pay attention to his lectures and here is an A.
I took him for AnP 1 and A&P 2 , got an a in both. Highly recommended
The best thing is that his lectures videos are available to students which helps a lot.
Recommended, prepares you for success and actually wants you to learn . Awesome teaching style.
Highly recommended.
Prof Belzer is an engaging lecturer who cares about student success. With diligent study using the course materials and Unstuck ai, you can excel in this challenging yet rewarding class.
BEST teacher I've EVER had! He is so fun, laid back, and easy to talk to. Once you start picking his brain, he's fun and interesting! He'll answer as many questions as you have, Take notes, study, & enjoy learning, & you'll fall in love with biology. At the end of the semester, the class felt like close friends! Seriously, best teacher! Take him!!
Best professor I've ever had.I took his class for A&P 1&2. He gives opportunities for extra credit. The first time I took an A&P class with a different teacher I dropped out,but when I started my class with him he was very motivational, funny,&is simply a better teacherThis course is material heavy no matter who your prof is, but I recommend him 100%
He makes class interesting
Professor Belzer truly cares about his students. He is genuinely one of the best professors I have ever had. I love the set up of his course. He provides powerpoints, lecture videos and follow along note sheets on black board which are the same as his in person lectures. It is so helpful. His exams are difficult but doable. Ask questions!
Hands down the best biology professor I've had. The topics are difficult but it will prepare you for whichever healthcare field you are pursuing. I was able to understand a majority of the biology portion of the MCAT after taking this class. I will forever remember the content from this course due to his teaching.
Pro B is tough because he cares. His class gave me the foundation to ace A&P I & II and succeed in nursing school. Im now an ICU nurse, I credit his high standards, deep knowledge, and genuine care. Best professor I've had. He truly prepares you for the real world. Be ready to work. I would take him again without hesitation, he's a funny cool guy.
Professor Belzer was a great teacher. I took him for A&P II over the summer - which is quite the condensed course! He provides online lectures and follow along outlines - which I found helpful for study outside of lecture time. NOTE: his exams are Short Answer heavy! You need to actually know the material and understand it to do well.
Amazing lecture, pre-recorded lecture videos on youtube helps a lot. Gives reasonable extra credit opportunities. Concept is well explained and easy to remember.
