This course was very fun. I liked the lectures, and even when the subject could get boring, Lawrence made it interesting. His test are easy, and the final essay isn't that difficult. Take this class if you get a chance.

It's a very easy class in which he lets you use a 3x5 card to take your tests with, but at the same time he touches on many different subjects. Overall he's a darn good teacher.

His topics are eye-opening and the way he gets the class to interact and give their opinion is amazing. The tests are easy if you study. I found it convenient to make a study group, split up the work load and then make copies for everyone in the group; cuts study time in half. 1 bad thing: at times he gets caught up in himself and cuts people off.

This teacher is defintely passable if you come everyday and take good notes. I flunked the first 2 tests but i i got B's on the last 2 to get a C. So defintely passable with An A if you take notes and come everyday. Study guide available for every test, hw was fairly easy. Final was super easy.

Teacher is a good and easy. He teaches philosophy well and uses the Matrix (yes, the movie) as a guidline for philosophy teachings. It's pretty cool.

This class was amazing, he is the reason i want to major in philosophy, it wasnt hard at all, i learned a ton. Show up, do the homework, study for tests. and to the people bad talking him, you probably shouldnt be in college, where do you expect to go in life anyway if you think he is too hard. so screw you. :)

Great class definitley a must if you are at all interested in hot topics like cloning,****, **** speech, animal rights etc. Doesn't force opinions on you. Tests are easy (can use notecard) daily reading questions that he never reads just gives points. Easy but you have to go to class to know whats goin on cuz philosophy can be confusin at times

This was an interesting class to say the least :) Dr Lawrence was a good teacher and knows the subject well .. Its a lot of work with homework that is due every week. but overall interesting class

mr.lawrence is a great teacher, his readings are based on the matrix movies just watch all 3 you'll be fine. the reading questions are really easy so are the exams. very humorous...i recommend mr.lawrence for any philosophy class!

Coming into a philosophy class with no prior knowledge on the subject, he showed me the whole gamut of the subject and entertained me at the same time. Arguably the best instructor in that whole college, he is one of those rare breed of teachers who you want to work hard for.

Professor Lawrence is a really great teacher. The class is really easy if you read, do the assignments and ask questions. He really cares about all his students passing, and takes an interest in giving extra credit to those who might fail. I took his class with no background in PHIL!LOVED it! Do the readings, you'll understand better & homework is based on it but easy. Paper was a breeze, just pick a topic you enjoy! FYI: I transferred to a university, as a Poli Sci major I took a theory class, PHIL7H helped so much in that class. what I learned carried over!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Yeah he is hot all I did was stare at his bod all day. He is very clear with everything he teaches and the exams are pretty easy as long as all the homework is done and you re-read a little more before the test and you are good to go. he is a cutie.

I took Phil 6, and the entire class revolves around the movie "The Matrix", it's awesome! If you study the study guides he hands out, you will do fine. Very interesting class, he loves what he teaches and knows his stuff.

I had him for intro and Phil of Religion and it was honestly a lot of fun! I HIGHLY recommend this teacher. He works mainly fro power points and lectures so you need to take detailed notes. His tests are hard but he gives you a study guide and he lets you use a 3X5 notecard.

Great instructor, very funny. Requires mandatory attendance, assigns homework, but simple homeowork. One 5-6 page paper, bu as long as you discuss it while in process of it there should be no reason why you shoudn't get a solid grade on it. Love how everything freakishly relates back to the Matrix. Amazing teacher! Class is based around, but not solely on, The Matrix Trilogy. Attendance is mandatory, but the class is short. Simple homework that comes directly from the book he wrote (which is also only about $20). Three tests. One cumulative final. Three simple essays. Easy A!

Best teacher/class I have taken through all of college. I took him in the summer and I loved that class. He teaches you philosophy through the matrix movies. I didn't even like the matrix before and now I understand the phil behind the matrix. The textbook is like $20 and written by Dr. Lawrence. Even the text is about the matrix. Hw was easy and you get credit just for putting thought into it. Super fun class i recommend it to everyone!

The concepts we discussed are very interesting and informative. You will not be bored thats for sure. The class is centralized around the Matrix movies so watching all the films helps a little bit. Exams are a little hard because each unit is over a month long jammed with tons of vocab and concepts but he does let us use a notecard so that helps.

Lawrence is in my top 3 for LBCC professors. He's funny, clever, clear, and all for student success. Do ALL your homework/essays-they can save you. He allows notecards on unit tests, but do not rely on it. Listen to the lectures. Also make sure you watch the Matrix Trilogy. the majority of questions I got wrong on tests were on the films.

Professors Lawrence is one of my favorite professors I had at LBCC. Make sure you do the readings. I got a B in this class. You will have to put in work in this class to get a good grade. Not only is Lawrence funny and helpful, he is very clear and his class is pretty easy if you pay attention. The books and attendance are mandatory for passing, but he lectures through PP and posts them online, so if you miss a class it's no big. If you study the study guides, then the exams are SO easy(plus he gives extra credit questions)! :)

One of my most influential professors. This class will make you think about life in a different way. The tests can be tricky if you don't study though. There's 3 exams and you're allowed a 3x5 flashcard on exams. Just study and you should be fine. The more effort you put into this class, the more enjoyment you'll get out of it.

Lectures are super interesting, Prof. Lawrence is obviously extremely passionate about Philosophy and he gets you interested in it as well. Short readings & homework every week, 3 exams (non-cumulative final), one paper (7-10 pages). Go to his office hours if you're struggling with writing the paper, he is REALLY helpful.

Prof Lawrence is an awesome teacher. Phil 7 is a very confusing class, but he explained it all very well. 3 unit tests, 1 paper (4-6 pgs), no quizzes, homework consists of short readings with a short assignment tied to it. For exams, he allows a 3x5 index card and you can write whatever you want on it! I highly recommend this professor!

every class i left with my mind blown abt something new. philosophy can be challenging but he works to make sure everyone understands. simple reading HW almost every class, 2 essays, & 3 exams. This class is super easy. He gives 3 exams, a journal he checks 2x, an easy group project, and small homework assignments almost every class. the hw is easy as he just gives credit for doing it not caring if it is right. Gives study guides way in advanced and lets you use a notecard on tests. all pp slides are posted online and he has office hours.

Really nice guy! He is great to visit in office hours and gives great advice regarding future education plans. I wish he taught another ethics course continuing off of this one but I am highly considering taking his philosophy of religion course. Visit during office hours to receive extra help on study guides and essays.

Professor Lawrence gives instructions for the assignments but does not provide a clear grading rubric sometimes. The assignments are very much open-ended thinking. The class was easy, but I got a B because I missed class a lot. Attendance is apart of your grade, but not that much. It helps to show up because the exams are based on the lectures.

Mr. Lawrence is a very cool professor. The homework assignments and multiple choice exams were pretty easy. There was also a 4-5 page paper on religious pluralism. We also had to do a PowerPoint group presentation on a religious topic, which was pretty easy as well. This class covers all the main religions of the world. I got an A in the class!

One of my favorite classes even though I was never a huge fan of philosophy. The readings might get a bit difficult, yet he still manages to explain them in a way that is easy to understand. Take him! Hes amazing.

If you're taking Phil 6 online, definitely choose Professor Lawrence! He's very thorough in his teachings, and truly cares about helping you understand the material. In this class, there's only 1 easy essay, many frequent discussions, and lecture videos/ppts can be so helpful when reviewing for the frequent & easy short quizzes. Loved this course!

Mr. Lawrence cares a lot about Philosophy and his lectures are engaging. Not too heavy on reading and as long as you put a little bit of time aside to do his work you will get a good grade in this class.

he's a chill & reasonable guy! took him online, the course had a simple routine. i learned a lot without having to put in grueling effort. i like the way he broke down complex topics & his light humor--we'd jump from different topics & he had me fully immersed in all of them,gave me a pleasant experience in grasping an understanding of philosophy!

He is an awesome teacher all around. Great video lectures where he ties in film to explain the concepts.A very chill and funny person. Assignments follow the formula of a quiz, a discussion,2-3 videos,2-3 readings.All the materials is very digestible and easy to follow.

Professor Lawrence is a very knowledgeable professor and one that I can easily recommend to anyone. The essays are a lot but as long as you know the theories that are being taught, they shouldn't be too hard. He brings such a great vibe and is very open-minded to everyone's ideas and perspectives in the modules he teaches.

Truly just have to do the reading, participate in discussions, and do the work and you're all set. He does a great job giving feedback to where it doesn't feel like you're taking his class alone even if you're taking it online. Class material is organized and easy to navigate. Offers plenty of resources and office hours. Some texts are complex, but accompanying lectures/slideshows and discussion boards simplify them. The PHIL 7H class is a mixed of lectures and open discussions about the moral theories and real-life events, making the class very engaging. I have learned a lot through Professor Lawrence through the contents and assignments.
