Very clear and easy to follow lectures. He wants you to do well and learn the material. One of the best prof i had.
Doesn't have a set of notes that you can copy from the board but is very funny and clear in his examples to learn from. Down to earth guy who likes to joke around.
one of the best prof. i've had. he makes you want to learn the material through his funny examples. he really likes participation, so he can remember your name. very helpful!
One of the best professors i've ever taken. Explains very good, gives nice exampples, likes participation, but doesn't cll on you. Gives good test reviews. Considers the improvements u make throughout the semester. Wants u to learn and do well.
The best prof i've had in my 3 yrs in Baruch. His professional look is followed by his professional way of teaching. A++
awesome teacher. fair tests and one of the best profs ive ever had
does this guy take attendance?
if you want to actually learn something this is the teacher for you.
Good teacher and pretty hot.
Very nice guy and professor. He came to Baruch from NYU and you can tell that. Very professional. Take him.
Nice chap, good teacher. What else do you want? And he went to NYU. Funny too. Take him. I bet he's easier than the other LAW professors.
funny, and very good professor. makes things very easy and very clear. don't really have to do any of the hw because he goes over everyhting in his lectures which are up on blackboard. very good prof.
Oh My GOSH.... I have never had a more boring professor! I don't know if this is the same guy you all made comments on lol... Edwards, pain in the tush. Takes attendance, hard tests, word of advice: learn the exceptions, not the rules...
He's an okay teacher. Takes attendance, fair grading. Lets you sleep and eat during class! LoL, wat else do u want?
very good prof. easy to follow, explains everything in details, has easy midterms, fair grading. i recommend him
One of the best professors I have ever took in Baruch. Explains everything, makes the subject very interesting. Is very caring of your needs and wants you to do well. I would recommend him to anyone.
Excellent Teacher, he cares alot about the students...its law..its not going to be ez..but he makes it as simple as possible. His jokes will crack you up, but hes overall one of the best professors,he works with you than against you.
He is the best professor I had so far at Baruch. He is really cool and helpful, he works with you, and he is funny. And he teaches very wel, you actually learn something. If you have to take law, I strongly recomeend him.
wow i thought i would never understand business law, but this professor is excellent when it comes to teaching. I might even consider taking it as a major. He's really funny and never belittles his students, but has great faith in them.
Great professor, very clear & helpful.
He is a great professor and is very helpful with anything. He wants the students to learn and tries to be as clear as possible. Therefore, if you need to take this course, Prof Edwards is the greatest.
very good law professor, funny guy and always tries to help the students understand
A word of caution: he does the problems in class but pretty fast. HE doesn't do enough problems to help us ace the department final. His answers are vague. NIce person, but make sure you clear ur doubts when u get them.
Good Professor easy A once you do thw work
He is fun to listen to, but doesn't too enough problems in class. our class average for the finals was 73!!! He's a nice guy.
Thia is the professor to take. he is the man. great lectures never gets u bored. i wish he was teaching accounting classes. really enjoyed his class.
Nice jokes. But not thorough with homework and stuff
great professor, always there to help and a nice person.
he's the best prof i ever took in college. He is so helpful and it so friendly and soooo funny! def. take him
Best teacher for 1101...the course is boring and I slept through class, but when it comes to tests, he shows you what you really need. Nice guy and an objective teacher. Easy going and if you attend class, study, then it's an easy A. Recommendation to anybody taking 1101, you will not regret it.
Nice guy, easy class, it will not be hard!!, 100% recommend him!
This guy is the daddy. he is the man when it comes to law. one of the best professors in baruch.
Very nice prof. you will learn a lot from him, and he is very helpful. One of Baruch's best. He is very knowledgable, and does a lot of examples in class. Take him if you can. VERY GOOD
He is a very good law professor. His exams are actually kind of easy and he is always willing to help you out if you need it. I highly recommend him.
He is an incredibly NICE and FUNNY guy. Very helpful if you need it and explains things VERY WELL. He keeps you interested. His tests are NOT hard if you only look over your notes. My class was lucky this semester cuz he made up our departmental final. He's such a nice guy. TAKE HIM IF YOU CAN
very good professor. take him, i can still remember his lectures, which is good since it means that i actually learned something from him
Seems like an easy professor but wait until the final. The final is worth almost 50% and many people who did well in class got B's and C's because of the final. He is somewhat of a lenient grader for the first 2 exams when it comes to partial credit, but watch out for that final.
Definitely recommended! He's excellent at explaining and gives perfect examples to understand the topic. Everything is on the power points! and I rarely read the book, just listened to his very interesting lectures and learned. Participation is a plus. 2 moderate tests and a final. You'll definitely LEARN in his class. :)
Gives good review for Exams. Recommended.
He's not that bad, curves and gives good reviews
He is intellegent. He grade strick and high standard. Laws are complicated but he explains very clearly
A great guy!I love him!!Strongly recommend!!
Truly an Amazing professor- prob. the best that I had so far. He makes the class very interesting, and is not out there to kill you (grade-wise). His powerpoints are extremely helpful and emphasize the main ideas. Participation definately helps, as does reading the material on time. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
The professor is great, one of the best, & the class is really interactive, but do not expect it to be easy. You'd have to read a lot and to prepare problems for each class, focus on PPT slides. Participation can help you improve your grade, e.g., form A- to A. Professor takes attendance, but you wouldn't want to miss his class anyway.
Although I did "so-so" in the class, I have nothing but great things to say about this professor. He is cool, down-to-earth, and will grant his students one-on-one time to go over exercises. He's a really cool guy. TAKE HIM if you are one for professor effort.
I thought he went too quickly at times and would go on and on about these various problems when it should of been the theories not who wins the case and why which is important. Tough class to get a good grade on but his lectures were interesting. It goes without saying, he seems like a nice guy, very down to earth.
In his class , i think he was going through problems pretty quick. he gives quiz and pop quiz 15% of final grade, midterm 35% and 10% attendance and practipate and final 40% ! pop quiz very very EASY, sometime just Yes and No answer. No worries
one of the best professors i've had sooo far...take him if you can
one of the best professors in baruch! Definetly take him if you can!
Way to much quizes, write down all the examples he uses because thats what is on the "at-home" quizes. One midtrem one final, all essay. 8 at-home quizes, sounds good but is not, i had 90s in most of the quizes but messed up on 2 of them and my avg fell down big, plus 70% is made up of the mid term and final, so messing up on the quizs killed grade
8 online quizes (Very tricky), one midterm and final, and also H.W., He talks about almost every topic and examples, examples and examples. and trust me a very hard grader. Rest is up to you.
He's a awesome professor. Everyone enjoys his lecture but it's not an easy A class. But come on, it is a law class, no one can end up with an A without effort. Take him~~he's the best~~~
He is very smart and he has a lot of energy to keep you up even in the early mornig. ALWAYS answers youe e-mails even on Sundays. Try to participate in class as much as possible and he he will notice and help you. A lot of work but it's very interesting and useful in the everyday life!!!
He is nice but a very very very very......................................................................hard grader.
Prof edwards is a really good teacher. he really knows his stuff and is very helpful. we had four quiz lowest to be drop. 1 test, 1 dissolution problem, and a final. I don't know what I'm getting for the class yet but I feel like I really learned something from this class.
Take Him! The best in the business! You will not regret it!
THE best professor EVER! you dont even need the book. his powerpoints are so crystal clear and helpful! Definitely should come to class everyday. Exams are easy. HW helps. most importantly--HE DOES HIS BEST TO HELP HIS STUDENTS grade and material wise!
The class is mandatory for accounting majors who are used to memorizing information instead of analyzing it. You must love business law and have prior exposure to it to do well in this information-intensive course. Professor Edwards is an OK instructor.
Very cool guy, 2 midterms and a departmental final. he curves his midterms to make the average around 80 or so. make sure you do the homeworks and understand it the tests are from the homeworks more or less.
comment below is totally true. usually and 4 or 5 point curve, make sure you participate periodically so he can get to know who you are. he makes you send him a picture at the end of the semester and if he recognizes you from the picture he will give you the benefit of the doubt on your final grade.
he's the best professor i've had at baruch so far. he explains the material very well, and he provides examples that make the information relevant. reading the book is unnecessary if you attend and pay attention during lectures, which shouldn't be hard since he's a very funny guy. almost transferred out of baruch if it weren't for him.
Prof Edwards is a very good professor. He knows his stuff and makes sure you understand it by using clear examples. There was almost no need for me to use the book since his slides and lectures are extremely helpful. one thing I recommend, do not miss a class, he covers a lot of material.
Very bad Prof.
Great professor. Keeps class interesting by providing many examples.Just do the worksheets and you will be ready for the exams.
Pr.Edwards is one of the best instructors I have ever had. He is very well spoken and just a good person. He is not an easy A one, but if you are paying attention and study you should be fine.
He is nice and his class is organized. But he is so hard grader and not fair.
Attend the class, forget about the book and you should do fine
This professor tends to have favorites and grades based on I have no idea what criteria.

Hey, Prof. Edwards is really cool! Excellent class excercises. some students were just plain lazy and NEVER participated. Got an A. work hard on your paper.
good job!
extremely likes law, keeps class engaged, goes over problems and reviews it until you understand, exams are tricky you have to explain in detail to get full credit. not much hw, read and go over slides, textbook rarely used. his teaching style is something all professors should learn how to do.
This professor is a great prof. I took him about two semesters ago and still remember topics from the course. Once you participate and attend classes, you should do extremely well, even if you don't read the text.
Great professor who knows his material. The class is very engaging so it's hard not to participate.
As mentioned before, this class is very engaging and is hard not to participate. Edwards is a fair professor meaning whatever you put in is what you'll get out of it. With that said, it's really not hard to get an A.
The best professor i have ever met. You actually learn from his lectures, even if it slides, he uses tons of examples, sometimes funny examples so you can understand. The greatest prof ever. Take him. Listen and attend the classes. participate and you get an A!!!
Great Professor. Very respectful of his students. First time teaching this course so the structure was lacking. He wasn't able to follow the syllabus because of time constraints. With a semester under his belt, he should have a better idea of how he should structure the course next time. Highly recommend his classes.
He is one of the best professors at Baruch. His slides and examples are very helpful and crustal clear. You learn a lot because he engages you in the class discussions. Pay attention, participate and it will pay off. I strongly recommend Prof. Edwards:)
Not an easy professor!!! Test is tricky 50 true and false 15 fill in the blank. Final is a paper that is worth 40%. I recommend him but you should be prepared!
Really good professor. His midterm is tricky for sure but hes fantastic. His class is almost always interesting and entertaining. A midterm, a presentation, and a final in his class. All in all, he doesn't expect that much but you learn a lot.
Great professor. You definitely learn a lot about the legal system in this class. The midterm is NOT as hard as others are saying. As long as you take notes during the the class and do the review sheet, it's easy. Questions are straight from the review sheet. Final paper was not hard. 8 pages w/ footnotes. He really tries to help you succeed.
intelligent, funny, and just an overall great professor.
Prof. Edwards is a great speaker and he puts together a very interesting curriculum. I really enjoyed this class.
Prof Edward make good prof teaching. Learm lot about law in us countyr. He make good joke and give good test. You like Prof. Edrwrds you take him
Professor is tough but a fair grader. Excellent, interesting, well-prepared lectures which encourage participation. But you had better have something intelligent to add and not speak up just to speak up. If you're looking for an easy A, this probably isn't it. 2 timedmanaged online quizes, 1 mid-term, 1 video group proj and 1 final paper.
Prof. Edwards is one of the best professors I've had in 4 years at Baruch. Not only is he intelligent and respectful; he's also very funny. What distinguishes him from other professors is how direct and straightforward his questions are. They are very fair. He is truly the last person out to trick you. There's a lot of reading. But it's worth it.
A down to earth, chill professor who really knows his stuff. His lectures are insightful and hilarious. His discussions are fun and encourages student feedback. He is a fair grader and rewards hard work. He is a must take if you are interested in law. Seriously, one of the best professors I've had in my 4 years at Baruch. Very respectful too.
Coolest dude with two first names you will ever meet. In all seriousness, great professor. He takes on the role of a mentor. The class isn't an easy A, but it's definitely interesting and insightful. He creates a very laid back, professional, and respectful environment. You're expected to participate, but it's easy in his class. 1 paper and midterm
great professor! his lectures (and slides) are so thorough and interesting that if you engage you will remember most of the material before you even begin to study for exams. worksheets help prepare you for the 3 exams (he goes over them in class). overrall had a wonderful experience with this class. absences werent a problem for me either.
Professor Edwards was the best professor I took this semester. He makes it his priority to keep his students enthused and interested despite the dull topic. This class is a lot of work, but it's definitely worth it because you walk away learning so much. He's a great person and a great professor.
Prof. Edwards is awesome! He knows what he's talking about and makes his lectures interesting. There's not too much hw, just a paper, a group project, quizzes and a midterm. His grading is pretty fair and if you pay attention and study you can easily do well in his class.
He does to curve at all, tests are tricky. Strict with attendance. Participation matters. Group project with ridiculous grading system. There are plenty better professors in Baruch (who actually have a teaching experience), take someone else. Not recommended
My second time taking this professor at this school. Reason why I took him again is his ability to teach and his ability to create conversational lecture classes. Don't expect to get easy A with no effort. However, if you put in the effort, can be a very engaging and enjoyable class. Definitely recommend; professor can be weird though.
Extraordinary professor, makes a somewhat boring subject (IMO) exciting, engaging, and sometime hilarious. His lectures are full of information and his verbal communication is second to none. Very likeable guy just make sure you study for the exams, questions are not easy but they are fair. Keep up the good work, professor!
Amazing professor, he gives great lectures, his class isn't boring and everyone engages in the discussions. This isn't an easy A. But you won't be bored at every class. 1 group project, 2 tests, 1 paper, and homework. You also have to read about 2-3 books, but you'll probably get away with just skimming it
An excellent professor who is great at teaching the sometimes boring subject of law quite well! Starts teaching on the dot and allows for really engaging discussions. There is plenty of reading but all is necessary. Helps us prepare for exams. Not an easy A but no regrets taking this class. Really have to earn your grade. Highly recommend!
Awesome professor! He is organized, engaging, fair and funny. I loved going to his class. Points for participation + a mid term and final. Lots to read but not hard to follow. If you attend all classes (and actively listen), the tests are easy: all answers were given during the lectures + he publishes a list of topics to study before each exam.
Seriously the best professor I have probably ever took at Baruch. So easy to follow. If you listen in class and follow along you will have almost no problem on his tests. He makes everything simplified and understandable. Great professor. Can't recommend enough!! TAKE HIM!
You must be completely present in his class to understand the notes. His lectures engages students but they are so DRY. His slides are super confusing(not all the necessary info for exams are on the slides) and the textbooks he uses isn't better.
Professor Edwards is one of the best professors I have had at Baruch. His lectures are very interesting so it is easy to pay attention. His worksheets are super helpful when it comes to taking his tests (he reviews the answers in class). First exam is simple, second is a little more complex and final is not cumulative.
Great professor! 1 group project, 2 exams, 5 written assignments, and 1 paper. Class flows well. Make sure you participate!
Long and confusing exams. 60-90 questions which are based on a 2 page legal scenario and you got 1.5h to finish. No way you make it in time. Confusing slides used in class.
Extremely difficult and unnecessary because he was the only one teaching the class. The exams (vast majority of your grade) were insanely difficult, long and all over the place. The material is excruciatingly boring and dense which doesnt help but his style made this impossible.
DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR!! Absolutley trash, if you miss one word he says in class you will not pass exams and he is very strict on writing.
Professor Edwards is such a sweet professor! Very lenient and genuinely wants his students to do the best while also making sure we're grasping what he's learning. 3 quizzes, 1 group project and 1 essay. Would recommend,
You could just tell that he's a genius. He knows his stuff so well. He's also caring. He makes the class super understandable and easy. Just take good notes and be thorough in your work and it'll end well. He's very lenient as well and makes the best jokes of any teacher I've ever had. I was genuinely sad at the semester's end.
Awesome professor, learned a ton about law having no background. Lecture heavy, and grade was just midterm and final. Gave us free 10% for HW since he didn't give HW. Recorded lectures were huge help for exam prep. Exams were a bit tough, required critical thinking to apply concepts to scenarios but fair. He did everything to help us succeed.
Great dude. Lowkey actually learned law. Lectures are mandatory but chill. 2 writing assignments which he is VERY lenient with. The tests are basically looking at short scenarios and understanding what law is applicable and who wins the case. Really nice dude. Recommend!
very knowledgeable professor but extremely difficult for a 1.5 credit course. He teaches as if we are all law students and its very hard to keep up if you have no background. The questions on the exams are incredibly confusing and its designed to make students mess up. Finals counted for 65% of our grade and it was way too hard. Avoid if possible.
He talks way too fast and doesn't have clear notes besides the slides. Doesn't really give out hw besides two written assignments. Unorganized when it comes to lectures but does know what he's talking about and talks about plenty of examples that can help you understand more of the challenging concepts. you'll pass as long as you pay attention.
Totally recommend this professor. He is very clear about law and explains the material very well. There's not much homework for the class. He assigns readings from the textbook but I got through the semester on his lectures alone. I enjoyed learning too
I dont like law so it was boring and I struggled but great professor, a lot of real world and current examples to make sure students understand concepts, the slides are minimal so pay attention and take notes! gives definitions and a lot of practice. small amount of hw and two group projects (super easy). also funny
Professor Edwards gives incredible lectures. Really funny lectures, and great guy too. He also makes really creative examples on the spot. 1 midterm, 1 final. Midterm was slightly confusing, but the final is departmental. Only had 2 group projects, the last one he made very fun honestly. Would retake in a heartbeat.
nice and fair. skip class and you'll be lost next class. only graded by hw, which your given a 100 if you just do it, 2 writing assignments, midterm and final. he curves his midterms and writing assignments. very understanding if you cant make it to class just make sure to email before hand.
my favorite professor I've ever taken. the class was hard imo and involved a lot of reading. the midterm and final made me wanna cry, but if you attend every lecture, pay attention, and engage in coursework you'll be fine. I would've gotten a higher grade if I didn't slack. all around a great guy and professor. I actually learned law!
You have two group projects which you can pick your groups and other is random. If you go to class you will pass the class. The teachers know what he is talking about, but it get little boring.
Go to class if you want to learn and pass. The homework is hard and counts so do them. Along with the papers. He's a very good professor who was once an attorney, I enjoyed his class.
My favorite class this semester! The readings were interesting, and the professor's engaging lectures kept my attention throughout. It's especially great for international students, offering insights into America through constitutional law. I just wish there had been more focus on business topics like Dodge v. Ford and Delaware law.
Prof Edwards is extremely knowledgeable about this field. Edwards comes to each class prepared and ready to teach. As long as you come to each class willing to listen and keep up with the PowerPoint slides it's a rather straight forward semester
He's one of my favorite professors. I wish he could teach more of the required classes. He presents very interesting cases, prepares quizzes, and explains everything in a way that's easy to understand. At first, I was scared to take it because I thought it would be extremely difficult, but he made it easy, enjoyable, and fun. He's the best!
Professor Edwards really cares about the students he teaches. Always available to answer questions, and curves all his exams. Assignments are straightforward, and he gives very extensive study guides for the exams. A lot of reading but the material is interesting.
Over 70% of the grade is tests. Curving is NOT given for final exams or grades. His teaching style may not be compatible with some students. If you're a hard worker, aren't taking too many classes, and don't have other issues you should be fine taking him.
