This guy is awesome! He really cares, and because he is young he knows just how to reach his students. He gets so giddy about math and it puts me in a great mood to learn. His homework is online, and you don't need a book and that's great! He really goes out of his way to make sure his students understand the concepts and succeed.

He is a pretty good teacher. You can tell he is passionate about math and that he loves what he does. He is pretty easy to talk to as well so if you need help with something do not be afraid to ask. :)

He's a very laid back and relaxing teacher. He'll help you when needed and you don't need your textbook in his class. He goes by mymathlab for homework and sometimes he'll ease down the tests for you if he feels like it. You'd be crazy not to take him!

Excellant teacher. He explains everything in a way that you can actually understand it. He cares about is students and defiantly helps you when you need it. This is no blow off class, you will need to study, do the homework. GREAT TEACHER!!!! Thank you W.M

Mr Lewis is the best math professor I have ever had. He is interesting and helpful. He teaches with a purpose and clarity. He is available to help and he explains pretty well, I took the winter mini so it was very face paced so we didnt get as many examples but it was more than enough and by doing homework the class is not to difficult.

best professor i ever had.i highly recommend to take him. teaches excellent. took college trig. in the december mini. understood everything he taught. he makes everything clear reapeating again and again if u didnt get at first.best professor for math.exams are easy. all easy simple questions.

The professor is pretty cool. He tries his best to make people understand and gets across to you.However there will always be someone who just plain doesn't get it so they will fail and leave a bad review like the person below me. Bottom Line: Hes a good professor.

I took this class last semester and was really afraid that i wasnt going to pass. mr. lewis was really good about explaining things over and over and was even willing to help me outside of class. i worked really hard and got a B(!!!) I dont have to take any more math but if i did I would definately take mr. lewis. and he has pretty eyes! lol

Great Professor. He does move fast in class, but he is happy to slow down and go back over something if you speak up and let him know you didn't quite get it. He is also helpful outside of class, but you have to take the iniative to seek the help.

When i took this class I was very scared, I have struggled with Math my whole life but when I took Mr. Lewis he made things so easy to understand. He does go fast but if you pay attention he will give you helpful ways of remembering things. I made and A in his class my first A ever in a math class.

I'm in his summer trig class right now. I was really afraid 2 HOURS of trig everyday was gonna be super boring, but the time flies by. He's really funny and he explains things well. You should def take him. -J

I am still taking him. However, he is a good teacher. Do your homework and you WILL get an on the Test. Like I did. I made a 93 on our test. Which is big because I haven't had math for an entire year. p.s. he is the Dane Cook of math. Funny!

I'm taking him for the summer. Finally managed to catch up to his teaching speed, it is a lot faster than a reg semester... but i decided to take the challenge anyways. He's a very good professor, no doubt about it. BUT the key to passing his class, or any math class for that matter, is to STUDY!!!! do your HW!

This guy is awesome!! You can make an A if you study.(not a lot though) He does go fast sometimes but is just so you can get a little understanding of it and then he explains it again slowly. Hes a good teacher, take him if you can.

Mr. Lewis is one of the best teachers EVER. I don't like math that much, after his class I changed my major to engineering. :-) he's super helpful and I wish he would teach all of my math classes forever!!!!!

Awesome prof. Best math prof on campus. I would take him for any class that he teaches. He is younger than most math prof's and it shows, he is interesting to listen to, he knows that upper math can be brutally boring and he makes it enjoyable.

Mr. Lewis is a great teacher and person. You can't help but like who he is and want to be around him. He is the kind of teacher that will show you how to do something step by step so you know exactly what you're doing. I wish I could have him as my teacher for all my classes. His wife is pretty awesome too :)

Took mr. Lewis 4 college algebra...he is a excellent teacher..he teaches fast but if u slow him down he will do it w/ no prob. the key 2 passin his exams are TO STUDY...he gives u reviews but just 4 practice, the tests are NOT straight from the review...but he is really kool teacher..not boring at all..and hes cute! lol..

he is really funny an helpful and willing to help you outside of class even if he is busy. I went to every class and wasnt bored at all. Mr lewis made math fun which is great because i'm really bad at math! The class was hard, but I got a B. Thanks mr lewis!

He is an awesome Math Professor, i wish he taught all the Math classes i have to take ahead cause i would take him for all. Make sure you attend class, and do all the homework and you will do great. Math definitely needs practise so you have to do the homework. he is funny, explains it really good. makes math super fun..awesome

Very helpful. Posts all grades on blackboard. He is very clear and will help outside of class as well. He replies to all of your emails. If he taught any other math, i would take his classes.

Awesome College Algebra teacher. He makes everything crystal clear! He cares about his students and wants them to do well. Best math teacher!! You need to take notes and do the homework (there's not that much) to get a good grade. Gives reviews for all exams that REALLY help. Take him if you want/need an A.

Great profesor. I haven't taken a math class in 6 yrs, so I wasn't sure about takin a online class. Mr Lewis was VERY HELPFUL. He really cares and will take time to explain hard stuff. He answers all emails even late at nite and on weekends. You should take him!

bombed my first two exams, then got A's on 3rd and 4th exams. final passed with a B. Keeps you interested and wants you to do well. Knows his math for sure, and he's excited about it. He's a Good Teacher, but i still don't like math.

Professor Lewis is a great professor. My only real complaint was that he went off topic sometimes, but it was usually quite funny whatever it was he was talking about.

I took him for trig, but have been trying to take him for every other math course. He is the best that SanJac South has to offer. If you need to take math courses, you must take it with Mr. Lewis. He is hilarious, as well as, intelligent. He knows what he is talking about and will go off on tangents to explain the unexplained just for fun. A+ Prof.

Best math teacher I have ever had and I just started the class. His videos tell you everything you need to know to understand. So far, I have an A in the class. Very helpful...and this is an online class.

Took the fully online class, if you know math don't bother buying the book. If anything, just rent the book. You'll have to purchase a MyMathLab pass also. The class itself was pretty straight forward, if you try emailing Mr. Lewis, do it right away, he takes a while to reply. Final was in person. Super easy. Recommended

I absolutely loved being in Mr. Lewis' class. I wound up taking trig (even though I didn't need to and my interest in math before taking his class was very low) He made math enjoyable for me which I thought was impossible. Humourous and helpful. I'm now taking calculus and find my math skills have really improved. I miss having him as an instructor

Took him online, wasnt sure how you want til you get it right would work out. He is always available when you need him. You have to purchase the online lab, do not purchase book. Good thing about online class, is you can redo homework and quizes as many times til you get it right, except tests.

I tried to take math 2 other times and withdrew. Mr. Lewis was the ONLY teacher on earth that could teach me math. I suffer from dsycalculia (unable to do math), I think. And i actually learned a thing or two in mr. lewis' class. He 's amazing. When I panicked he always reassured me. If you suffer from the same..take Mr. Lewis class.

Mr. Lewis is the best math teacher I've ever had! I took him for trig and cal 2, will definitely take him for cal 3! You won't regret taking him, he answers your hw questions everyday and always jokes around, makes math fun! Tests are medium hard, just do hw and tests won't be tricky! :)

Really great professor. He always helps when he's available and has a great way of explaining vector spaces and surfaces in many ways. I wish I could take him for more classes! All over excellent and very intelligent professor.

This is a very smart and funny man. i'v taken him and Ms.Foxly in the aim class. its every day, homework everyday, test every two weeks. if you forte is not math i suggest either of these two. they have thier office open before class and you can text/ email them whenever needed. these two are very compationate and amazing!

Awesome professor. Taught the concepts really well with lots of example in class. No quizzes and has graded homework that is due on a weekly basis. Test are easy if you pay attention and do homework thoroughly throughout the semester. Being prepared for the next lecture will ensure better grade in this class! Overall: Enjoyed taking this class!

Very great professor. Notes were extremely clear with tons of examples. Failed my first test because I didn't put enough effort. Made B's on everything the rest of the way while taking 3 other classes. I recommend him!

I went in on the 1st day thinking I just needed to survive and thought I would barely pass the class because I've never been a great student in Math. Thanks to Lewis and Foxley for AIM I have an A and have actually learned in the class. I now really do feel prepared to continue taking the rest of the math classes I need for my degree. Recommend!!!

The best math teacher I have ever had! Uses methods that are easy to learn and easy to relate to. I highly recommend him for any math class that you need that he offers, you will not have regret!

This is the second class that I have taken with this teacher and if I could take all my math classes with him, I would. He is extremely helpful and breaks down all the math concepts so they are easier to understand. I highly recommend him for any math class.

I couldn’t have completed my AA without this professor! He has a great sense of humor and explains things in relatable terms. I was finally able to build up to 1314 after struggling with multiple remedial courses and work at my own pace online. He records many online videos as examples for lecture notes with another instructor, but his are clearer.

Use MML for homework. Didn't need the physical book. He's pretty funny and it's easy to pass if you pay attention.

The best Math Professor I've had. He makes the course very easy to understand. Highly recommend his AIM class with him and Kristen Foxley. Matt is very friendly and goes out of his way to help you both in and outside of class.

I hate math and math hates me. Because of the AIM course I now know quadratic equations, logs and gassuiam method. This teacher is the best in the biz for anyone who is scared of math!

A great teacher that you will remember years to come. Very clear in his lecture. Fair in tests. I took Elhaj (the other stat teacher) before and he's nothing compared to this guy. Like nights and day!

Stats is not an easy class, but he makes is 100% do-able and capable to finish with an A. He hadn't taught Stats in awhile so he was a little unprepared and confusing at times, but with plenty of open office hours there wasn't anything you couldn't work out. Hw could do as much until you got a 100 and he 100% prepared you for exams. TAKE HIM!!

Great professor. Keeps the class interesting with stories and jokes. Easy to pay attention in his class. Answers questions in class and gives really good explanations. Makes it very clear. One of my favorite classes so far and I hate math. You have to do the homework but he will give extensions if you fall behind.

Professor Lewis is a great teacher. He explains math problems very clearly. He loves gummy worms, if you bring a bag of gummy worms to class, be sure to offer him some. I'm not saying that it will change your grade, but it will get you on his good side!

I took him back in 2009 and 2010 and it's taken me this long to review him I don't know why. Like many people said, I was an awful student at Math and then I took him and he completely changed my opinion. I loved going to his classes and would take him again if I could (even though I have already graduated). Take him and remember him for life!!

I took Professor Lewis Spring of 2014. I am extremely bad in math. Taking him helped me a lot, along with visiting the tutors on a regular basis. I managed to pass the class. He does give homework every class. He does not use the textbook, and he doesn't do powerpoints. Overall he is a great professor. I would most definitely take again.

Fantastic class! Very straightforward. All assignments are done through a separate site which unfortunately is an extra 80 bucks, but you get video instructions for EVERY SINGLE QUESTION! It's awesome! 4 Exams, last one taken on campus. Homework every week, exam every 2, reviews provided are optional. Very fun!

I took prof Lewis for his summer online mini and everything was on MyMathLab. I'm terrible at math and he was extremely helpful and extremely clear. Reviews were optional but ended up being extra credit. Very understanding, gave me extra credit on my final because he knew I struggled because of test anxiety. Recommend 100%!

I'm not done with this class yet, but he's an amazing teacher! If you can take him online or in campus TAKE HIM. He really understands you and sends you extra notes if you don't understand the subject. Also, the lectures he provides are AMAZING. I thought I was going to have a REALLY hard time, but I'm not having such a bad time.

As a CS student, I hate Math. Prof. Lewis was the ONLY professor that ever ignited my interest in Math. The semester that I had him was literally the ONLY semester that I enjoyed Math. Every Math professor that I had before him just made me hate math even more. Now I hate math once again thanks to my current math prof. Ugh.

I'm still taking his class but he is a great professor! His lectures are clear and easy to follow and he makes sure everyone is up to speed before continuing. I definitely recommend taking him!

The best professor I have ever taken! His exams may be somewhat hard for some people, but he prepares you very well. His exams may have some tricky problems. If you come to class, DO THE HOMEWORK, and do the reviews; you'll solve those tricky problems easily. The best thing is that he frees a lot of my time for other classes.

This was probably one of the best classes i have ever taken! Professor was really easy to understand and always made time for his students. I took this in a 3 week mini which you think would be hard but he made it very easy. Seriously take this guy if you can!

Prof. Lewis is excellent for online class, one of the best I've had in college. Really good teaching materials. Responds fast to emails and very willing to fix things when they go wrong. I could not make it to final exam when scheduled, and he was happy to work with me. Wish he taught all of my classes! Lol.

I have taken college algebra twice and dropped because my prof sucked. Finally passed it thanks to Prof Lewis! He is awesome, I love him. You won't need the book just used mml. Best Professor at SanJac Hands Down. Many math professors I had before him tend to lecture slowly them cram a bunch of topics near the end of the semester (because the department requires these topics). Prof Lewis lectures at a decent pace while still allows plenty of time for questions. Great and Hilarious guy as well!

Best online class ever, especially for a math class. Extremely organized and thought out. I really enjoyed Differential Equations by the end of the class and can honestly say I learned so much. Tough material, but the prof makes it so helpful with the resources provided.

Professor Lewis is the best math professor on this campus that I've taken. Took him for his online course, because all his other classes had filled up early already. He made the online course feel like an actual classroom with a class discussion board, and lecture videos that help the students stay on track with each new section. Great professor!

His exams aren't exactly easy. But because he teaches so well and prepares you for his tricky exams, they seem to be easy. That is perfect. IMO, a professor has no right to make hard exams if he can't teach. If he's good at teaching, then he has all the rights design tough and tricky exams.

Gifted teacher. He explains it so well, it can get boring. Really easy class because of teaching style. Class consists of lectures, online homework, 4 tests (with reviews), and 2-3 projects. He's very nice, non-intimidating, forgetful. I hope he teaches all my math classes.

Prof Lewis made this class so much fun! He is an excellent teacher (also pretty funny), who will work with you to make sure you understand everything. The final exam was a breeze, and there were never any incongruities between what we learned and what was on the tests. Awesome teacher, easy course, definitely recommend. :)

Great professor! Math is overall difficult but he has a way to make it clear and easy! Easy A! Take him you wont regret it!
