By far the best math teacher I have ever had and probably the best teacher I have ever had. The funny thing is, previous to this class I had major math anxiety. Super helpful and caring, and the class was very organized with helpful video lectures for every chapter.

Professor Lorenzen is a real nice guy. I took his Psych summer class and there was a decent amount of work, but that is expected from a summer class. I would definitely take him again because his lectures are very well explained and you will learn from them. His quizzes and exams are easy if you do the work.

It's Stats which probably sends some into a sense of panic. This prof made it easy to understand with super helpful video lectures that he does for each chapter. Discussion posts, quizzes prepare you for the exams. Also some EC! Prof gives specific feedback on my assignments including ways to fix which is super helpful! Guides you the whole way!

Math and I are not very good friends but Professor Matt made the class friendly by making the class very structured. His teaching style is very engaging, patient, logical and clear so easy 2 follow. Takes you step by step through various assignments (e.g. SPSS) which made it actually fun to learn! Helped me overcome my fear of math! BEST prof ever!

BEST EVER! I have taken stats at least 4 times and was never able to pass as I was too confused and discouraged to finish the course. This time around I actually made it to the end of the semester with an A! Feeling super thankful to have been apart of this course! Mr. Lorenzen is my favorite professor at BC and the best PSYC B5 professor you can have if your needing the class, he provides so many resources for you to understand the materials in the class so well and offers a lot of extra credit, he truly makes math fun to do especially because his lectures and assignments are so interesting to do and watch.

I was very nervous to take Statistics. This professors lecture videos walk you through the material in a way that anyone can understand. He gives great feedback on all assignments, is a very fair grader, and offers multiple extra credit writing assignments to earn points. I was a bit worried when I got my book and syllabus, however, Professor Lorenzen makes it statistics easy and clear. There are video lectures that you have to watch to understand and if you need further instructions he is very understanding and is easy to get a hold of. Don't panic.

Online lectures, quizzes, discussions, and exams were well formatted and easy to do. Follow his SPSS instructional video identically and you will receive a great grade. Offers 30 points of extra credit. Quizzes and exams are all multiple choice. I recommend this class.

Professor Lorenzen is amazing! I went into this class absolutely terrified and by the time the class was over, I was an expert in statistics and received an A+. He actually responds to email and genuinely wants students to succeed. Super nice guy and fantastic class! Highly recommend!
