Good guy, relates well with the students.

I took his class 2 yrs ago, but i don't get why some ppl don't like him. He's def. a professional teacher who answers any Qs very coherently and I enjoyed being there..Top it off..he's one of the HOTTIEST prof. on campus!

I thought he was a great professor. He's very professional. He was very helpful, if you are the type of person who gets your work done, he'll be the best prof. If you are a slacker you'll hate him. He's always willing to help, but doesn't like excuses.

He's so ****ing hot, and he is the bomb. Meet him in office hours and he is so nice, like Jeckyl and Hyde.

I had Noonan my freshman year and he was the hardest teacher I have EVER had, I learned so much from him, I would probably be a different person than I am today with out his constant pushing. Thanks Mr. Noonan!

Here's the ironic part. Class only met for 1-2 days a week on average out of 3. Most classes were only 15-25 minutes long. On the other hand, I did more work for this class than my others combined. Prof. Noonan was a lot of help during class. The course structure was presented well.

One of the best prof. I have ever had. He pushes you and holds you to a higher standard and good students appreciate that. The people who I have heard say negative things about his teaching style are, to put it mildly, not very bright. If you work hard, there is no reason to not get an A.

Actually, a great teacher I though. Really pushes you. No bull sh*t type of guy, if you're not bright, he will let know, which is refreshing. If you see him during Office hours, he helps a lot. Bottom, if your intelligent and motivated . . .easy A, no problem. I'm a business major and I got an A.

i have never worked so hard in one class in my entire life. the grades you receive feel like they are lower than should have received. he is a really nice guy with a sense of humor. I highly suggest getting out of this class if you can. way too much work for one class. way too hard. i was ALWAYS working on writing this semester. not fun.

Great professor. Work is extremely time-consuming and longer than most other classes, but truly pays. Get ready to write, but the writing is creative and fun.

All of these comments make it seem that it is Noonan's teaching that makes the class difficult. Yes the papers are hard, but not impossible. If you do what I did and work hard, while involving him in the writing process, you will do well. He makes time for all of his students and will help if asked. Just don't leave your work until the last minute!

for an freshmen english teacher, he's is one of the hardest. with that being said, he is also one of the best. his style of teaching is very different compared to the rest of the teachers you will ever encounter. the work is hard, but its college. as long as you ask for help and use his advice and don't wait til last minute you'll be fine.

Despite the class being hard as balls, he is the absolute man! and I love his bow ties and he is classy for not wearing a clip on, he ties that sh*t everytime he wears it. Keep it up Mr. Noonan, dont listen to the other D-Bags on this list.

I had this guy a couple years back..at the time I thought life couldn't get any harder with his ridiculous papers but in all honesty I have used those papers since, for jobs and for transferring schools. Mr. Noonan is deff. a different style of teaching but I loved it.... Put in effort and he is the man and it will reflect in your grade! I miss him

Amazing teacher! This classes really helped me define which area of my discipline I want to pursue. The class is a lot of work, but it's worth it in the end - TRUST ME. He's a really cool guy who's approachable and friendly. If your work ethic meets his expectations, you'll have no problem. The reviews before this are misleading, don't listen.

I love Noonan!! I was so nervous about being in his class but we only have class 2 out of the 3 days we're supposed to and he usually lets us leave way early. He's super nice and really wants to help you do well and explore your major and interests. Awesome professor.

Professor Noonan is a great teacher- I took his AWD class which I was hestitant about taking, but he turned out to be a great professor, and the class was fun!

One of my favorite teachers. Noonan's class is hard, but he's always willing to help you as much as you need. And trust me, you will use the tools you learn in his class in real life.

Took the class a year back. Definitely worked for my grade. My writing improved drastically thanks to his class. Not for the lazy by any means. He genuinely wants students writing to get better. You just have to think outside the box for his assignments. Don't be afraid to experiment. I did not pay for NEU to watch monster movies in an Eng. class.

Not a class for the lazy. I hated the hard work at first, but grew to really love and commit myself to the projects. The class is a student workshop, I hate seeing people get upset that he's not doing the work for you. It's college. Grow up and put a little effort/thought into your work. Great Guy, always available for help/questions.

Had him for college writing. I hated him at first because he is a difficult grader and requires a lot of work, but he is a great teacher. I learned a ton, and I put in the work to get a good grade.

He is a strict and hard professor. I got crazy for this course at the beginning. It was hard for me to catch uo with him. And also ,like most people said, he may not usually tell you what is good and what you should do etc. H e prefer to let you think by yourself more. I can felt that he had definitely helped me improve my ways of thinking.

Advanced Writing in the Disciplines. Difficult Class. Super super nice guy! He wants you to work, he wants you to think. Don't be lazy and you'll do fine. Haven't gotten my final grade yet but I worked really hard on our first three big projects and got either A or A-. Sometimes frustrating at how much work was required but no regrets on keeping it

Excellent professor. Made a dreaded AWD class very enjoyable. Don't be shy about playing around with him in your work either- he's open to wit and humor.

Noonski is the man. At first I was apprehensive about the course as I heard he wasn't very clear, but I learned to embrace it. He's a fun guy to have teach a class and his dry sense of humor was pretty great too. Be sure to talk to him in class during the workshops and discuss the direction of your project and you should be fine.

Professor Noonan was great. A gifted writer and experienced teacher. Really good at getting you to think in the right ways. Tough grader but his assignments are fun if you get into it.

1 Noonsky is the man 2 He definitely makes you work for it. There are three projects that are particularly long. It takes a while to write them but if you don't procrastinate, make a plan, and churn it out the grading isn't that harsh at all. Attendance is non-mandatory but participation helps your grade. 3 I AM a better writer after this class.

Noonan is certainly a challenging professor. His "vagueness" is admittedly on purpose. The assignments are very broad, and his vagueness is an attempt to give the student the ability to choose how they take on the assignment. It is accurate that he tends to ramble, and feedback is sometimes lacking, but he makes it a point to ensure everyone learns

He's awesome!

I had him for Honors First Year Writing. He was unorthodox with his loose grading and conversational class. I enjoyed it and grew as a writer. He made the course relevant by presenting the concept of audience to us in the context of AI. Some assignments were worded vague. The final project was too involved for a required FYW class.

Professor Noonan is a very nice man, his class environment is welcoming and encouraging. This was my favorite class and I recommend everyone to take this class. The class was not that hard but taught me valuable insights and was overall very fun.

Honestly I really liked Prof. Noonan! He was very easy to talk to and made the classroom environment very comfortable/friendly. The grading was very holistic and it was based a lot on individual effort put in. If you try your best and you show up to class consistently then you will get a good grade. Take Noonan! He may be strange but he is fun.

Professor Noonan is awesome. I enjoyed his new way of teaching the course, a way that doesn't involve strict assignment-based grading. Show up to class and do the work on time for credit. The final project was also fun and unique.
