Very helpful, very agreeable, easy to talk to and available to his students.

Prof. Pappas is hands down the greatest professor I've ever had. He is blessed with a remarkable ability to teach. The material is not easy by any means but he is gifted as far as being able to explain it clearly. Very available to his students, and HOT!!

He is just oh so hot lol, I LOVED having class for that reason. The class was difficult, but the fact that it was a telecourse didn't help, they pretty much expect you to already have an understanding of the subject. But he is so pleasing to watch lol!

Do not take this course if you're lazy, because this guy expects you to learn something and he's the best to teach it to you. You'll have to work. He's fair and fun and I've never fallen asleep during his lectures :-). Oh -The chicks dig him too-chili.

Good professor. Courses are not easy, but you can learn a lot. Even if you think astronomy is over your head, he will help you out. Nice person too.

I hated science before taking this class, and i didnt know anything, but he helped me a lot, and i actually know things now!And he is so hot.i just want to make out with him. hes a great teacher,knows his stuff and really tries to help us.And he's nice.Take his class,if u r reallt going to work hard

what i liked about prof pappas is that he made me think. he answered questions with questions and i can honestly say i learned alot. and he is of course very attractive. i'll love to look at the stars with him anytime.

Prof Pappas is by far the best and hottest professor I have ever had at Suffolk!! He is very helpful and an awesome teacher. Hot hot hot!!

I loved Professor Pappas. The material is difficult but he is very helpful and available.. put in a little effort and you will do well. It's a very interesting class and prof pappas does a very good job explaining the material. also not bad to look at at all

I must say this class is very interesting and Prof. Pappas makes it a whole lot more fun. Yes, the material is difficult but as long as you review the notes and study well enough you'll definately get by. I must agree that he is a very good looking man. I'd certainly take another one of his classes.

Pappas is the man! Excellent teacher; very personable. He's willing to bend over backwards to help out students WHO ARE INTERESTED TO LEARN about the subject. If you're into astronomy, I highly recommend him.

Great teacher overall. If you do poorly in this class, it's your fault. If anything is unclear to you he will help/explain as long as you ask, and any answer he doesn't have, he will look up. He's a total science geek but you can definitely tell he loves what he does, and he does it very well. Best science teacher I've ever had.

Such a good teacher. Cares about his students alot. Fun and laid back. If you do the work he is willing to help you out big time. Good looking also!

I love this prof! So smart and helpful! Really cute too! His teaching style is easy to understand and he is very knowledgeable. Everyone in my class seemed to like him-easy to get along with. hihgly recommend!

this class wasnt too hard. it was a tele course and we only met every other week. a lot of test and quizes and a lot of free time. he didnt teach too much because it was a tele course but we was available if you needed him. and he is SOOOO HOT!!!

Currently taking this professor. Notes are on his website which is helpful. Funny guy. There is work, but hey...it's college. Nice. Would take again.

Good teacher... smart guy... DEF science geek :)... funny... a bit of a know-it-all but at least he knows what he's talking about. Very helpful and will explain anything you ask. Tests are kinda hard, but nothing ridiculous. Pay attention and you'll do well. Don't need the text. No HW unless you need to finish a lab. Fair grader. I'd take him again

Pappas is cool. Print notes out on his website, then you can just highlight and follow along as he lectures. Topics were interesting to me so I did well as did most of class. DONT BUY THE TEXTBOOK. You don't use it even though he says you will. Mine is still in shrink wrap. You just buy lab packet.

Good teacher

I don't know where the bad comments come from. He offers several extra credit assignments +notes online. And with the labs, My class had questions for every part of every lab and he helped us with each question we had. Astronomy IS hard, you DO have to put in work. But if you show effort and concern about your grade he is more than willing to help.

This class was not what I expected at first. There u is lot of math involved, so u really need to pay attention and not miss too many classes. As long as you try your best Professor Pappas is very helpful. He understands that what he is teaching can be confusing so he tries to explain and answer questions as thoroughly as possible. He offers many extra credit opportunities and gives you plenty of notice for tests and quizzes. He is a really cool guy. I would defiantly recommend taking him.

He's really a great teacher!! and hes really cute in his own geeky way. As long as you go to class you will be fine, pay attention! he loves his job and his very helpful outside of class! All around greatttttt guy!

great guy, good teacher but a very tough grader. his test and quizs are kind of hard and the planetarium exam is tough but you should be able to pass the class no prob. awesome guy tho classes are fun to attend.

Pappas is awesome! He is very helpful and if you study and understand the content the tests are fairly easy. I loved that you can print out the notes, it made class go quick and easy. He's very smart and cares about his students and their success. His extra credits are a pain but they can help out your grade. Don't bother buying the text book.

Guy is legit. Impossible to stump when it comes to questions though. He has an answer for everything, I swear!

Fantastic teacher. He explains something over and over until you understand, tests are easy if you take notes and use the review sheet, but a lot are short answer questions--really listen to what he says when he explains. also kinda cute, has a very nice butt! don't buy the textbook, he says you need it but it's more for reference, no hw.

Aw, Prof. Pappas is awesome. As long as you pay attention and do the work you can pass, and he is really excitable about his field. It's really fun to ask him about Venus's retrograde rotation and watch him nerd out. Great class, he's informative, helpful and it's fun. Loved it, but he is a tough grader, so know your stuff.

He is an awesome professor. Frequent tangents in class but they are interesting! Material is not that tough, he will answer any question you have in class. His tests require you to actually know the course materia, it's a freaking science course guys, you are not going to get multiple choice and that is the correct approach IMO. Love the class.

Awesome and funny professor. His tests are directly from the lecture and his print out notes. He does what he can to make everyone understand the material. Some people say he tries to trick people on the tests, but all questions are simply worded differently from the notes yet the same material. I highly recommend taking his class.

Nice guy, nerdy, smart, and really into his subject. However, he likes talking about his subject TOO much... Only about 20% of what comes out of his mouth is actually on the test whereas the remaining 80% is him trying to explain things by getting super technical which does nothing for clarification. Looks like Neil Patrick Harris when he shaves.

Professor Pappas is amazing and hilarious!He is always willing to help students understand the subject. Goes into a lot of deal to help you understand and his exams are just based on whether or not you comprehend the concepts.

He's the best professor at Suffolk. (Despite never having been to any other college, I'm still tempted to say he is the best professor anywhere). Always take him if you have the chance. He knows what he's doing, he is extremely helpful, and he genuinely wants you to succeed.

Professor Pappas while a nice professor used our Hybrid class which was supposed to be a part online class and part on campus class as an excuse to treat the class like a self teaching class. Although he was always there to meet if you needed it.

Yes he is attractive but DON'T BE FOOLED. This class is definitely NOT easy. If you're interested in ASTROLOGY then take a mythology course bc this is ASTRONOMY. I did well, but I also took Physics 1&2 and Calc 1&2 before taking this course. Pappas is definitely knowledgable so don't be shy to ask questions. Take lots of notes, do your labs, study.

professor pappas is a awesome professor, he is very knowledgeable when it comes to questions that you may have. if he doesn't have the answer he will find out for you. his open door policy makes him very approachable and he's is always up for a good laugh

I had mr pappas for a summer course and hes a great teacher! Hes very knowledgeable and hes always there to help his students learn the material and do well n the course. I highly recommend him.

I thought he was a really good professor. I thought the class was fairly easy but that might just be me. I was really interested in the course so I thought that made it easier. I do know others in my class struggled a bit. You take 5 tests and about 11 labs. He drops the lowest grade on both. Labs are kinda hard though, but still manageable

He likes to challenge you as a student,to use your mind. He not someone to give you an easy A but he does help you as much as he can. I struggled in his class but I walk off with a good grade. By the end of the semester you actually feel like you learned something and that's what matters to him.

Super nice but tests aren't easy. Definitely have to study and puts material on the tests that is very random and didn't go over in class and is not in the textbook. If you're not a good test taker do not take this class.

Pappas is the best professors I've had at Suffolk. Although the material may be difficult, Pappas explains everything in full detail, and stops for any questions. The grade you receive is the grade you deserve. Copy down his slides, he supplies you with everything you need to do well in his class. Review sheet and a lot of notice before a test.

If you're into Astronomy definitely take him, very intellectual with the material. Fair teacher and will always help out if you need extra time.

Very nice and funny professor, probably the best Ive had during my freshman year of college. He grades pretty heavy all labs and assignments handed in are read down to every word. But if you pay attention in class youll be sure to do well. Not heavy on participation. Lectures are very informative + interesting. I would recommend taking a course!

one of my favorite teachers at this school, actually felt like I was in a college course for once. any questions you have he's willing to work with, and as long as you try/care he'll like you. homeworks for me were quick and easy, same with labs. good guy

Lectures were fascinating. Encouraged thorough, broad discussion. Passionate about the material. Up front and honest about what he doesn't know, brings back answers next class. Seems dedicated to improving his craft as a teacher. Approachable, eager to help. Highly recommended. Looking forward to taking his Exoplanets if ever offered.

Best teacher Ive had in college. Very funny and informative lectures. Tough grader but if you do well on labs and score decently on tests, no doubt you will pass. Never lets any questions go unanswered and you can tell he genuinely cares about astronomy abd the well doing if his students.

Tough, but rewarding. Challenges you because he wants to see your best.

If you are not looking for a class that challenges you, then this is not the class for you. He is a tough grader on tests and labs but you earn the grade based on the work you put in. He never lets a question go unanswered and is quick with email responses. If you are not a dedicated science major, then his classes will be hard for you.

This was probably one of my favorite online classes I had to take during the covid era of my final semester at Suffolk. He was willing to answer any and all questions you had. The final project is super fun (pending on the topic you have). Professor Pappas if you're reading this thank you for a great time in class.

I think he's great and I did good in the class. I wish the review was clearer and the tests had me studying for things that weren't on it. Just over prepare. He's a great person I just wish he didn't always beat around the bush. Drops lowest lab and test grade! :)

When I signed up for this class I thought it would be easy but honestly, it wasn't He is a great professor, always eager to answer any questions. The only thing that made the class extremely difficult is that the questions on his review sheets were not on his test. Overall, I do recommend taking his class.

His class is hard, so be prepared! He's a tough grader so meet his requirements. Participation matters as you must thoroughly reply to many classmates. There's only four discussions that each last over two weeks. Initial reports are due first, and replies are due the next week. Don't wait to reply since you must participate all throughout the week!

Loved the class.Take notes.The tests are clear and directly from presentations provided in class, but he takes a while to post the review.I spoke with professor at length after class about astronomy. The class was rather basic in math skills and physics, but Professor Pappas has great recommendations for further readings. Cant recommend enough.

Took his 101 hybrid and 102 in person. Awesome guy, and he gives an in-depth explanation for everything. Labs and exams can be kinda tricky, and some stuff isn't on the review sheet, but study and you'll be fine. Discussion boards for hybrid classes kinda suck though since half your grade is on the follow-up discussion. Still recommend regardless.

Professor Pappas' AST101 is a challenging course, but engaging if you stay on top of the work. The discussions and labs require consistent effort, but Unstuck ai helped me prep efficiently. Overall, a rewarding class if you're willing to put in the work.

he started a new way of teaching my sem- spring 25, and he was amazing!! no midterm, no final, dropped one grade for assignments and 2 lowest for assessments, best prof. i've had yet! i loved his lectures and pretty fun labs too- best science for non science majors!!

great prof! i just graduated and loved his AST 101 class! loved the extra credit opportunities as well!

So for his credit I think he is an excellent professor and really cares how the science about how people learn. As a future educator, I see him doing things that show he is really trying to get his students to retrain material. And his course layout is great. However he takes FOREVER to grade. good luck knowing if you should withdraw b/c will not!
