Very, Very entertaining. I recommmend him if you want to learn U.S. History and have fun at the same time. I loved it when he called Benedict Arnold a ****, because he really was one.

He's the funniest man alive, and that helps to make the class very interesting and fun. I never really learned anything in history until his class. You have to study and take good notes, but I wouldn't recommend anyone else!

Just call him Shake-n-Bake. I loved him. If you do what he says, you'll pass his class. If you think he graded you wrongly then just argue with him, if your arguement is valid enough he'll work with you and give you some credit for it.He's a great teacher, not the easiest but very much worth it!

Dr. S is the best thing to happen to history since the Eagles reunited. Truly one of history's heroes.

Dr.S was so sad when he discovered he had no "chili peppers" like his buddy Dr.H. He is very candid and has a few choice words to describe Alexander Hamilton. You will either find him abrasive or halarious. Do your readings or just don't come.

He is an awesome teacher and I rushed to take another one of his classes b/c he is so funny. If you don't do the reading the tests aren't that easy but the class time is worth doing the reading.

Awesome professor. Makes history interesting and entertaining no matter what your major. You have to make sure that you read and take good notes for his tests, but you'll be fine if you do that. Highly recommended.

He is a funny guy!! I don't really like History, but he gets off subject and makes it better! It's really easy to get him off track!! His test are sometimes hard because there's a lot of reading on there, but in all he's an awesome teacher!!

Oh my god, I had the biggest crush on Dr. Schoenbachler, why doesn't he have any hot symbols up? Also, he is an awesome teacher!

i hate history, but enjoyed the class (just not the material). funny guy and very nice and personal. hard to tell what will be on test. i found a,b,c,d portion of tests difficult and the essays fairly easy.

He was a great teacher. I am not big on history but he made it interesting to where you would want to learn about it. I suggest taking him.

GREAT TEACHER. I recommend him to anyone he is so funny. I actually look foward to his class just to see what he has to say next. You do have to take notes and read well in the chapter. I hate history. Ive dropped it twice before I had him. He makes it so fun to learn

He is AWESOME! He is nazi about the readings, but I have never had a history professor who wasn't. I enjoyed this class, and I hate history! Be prepared for the essay questions, these will make or break your grade because he is VERY smart and knows exactly what he is looking for! Take GREAT notes! Write EVERYTHING!

Schoenbachler is the best history teacher i have ever had. I learned more in his class than i ever did in high school! he makes his students want to listen! keep up the great work!

I love his class. I would take him for every history that I need if I could. He is awesome. I have never actually wanted to listen to history before. But, I listen to everything he says. The tests are not bad. Just take really good notes and pay attention.

Dr.S is a wonderful teacher. History usually bores me!!! But he made it fun! I'm taking him again for Hi 202!!! I would surely reccommend him to anyone!!!

Holy poo, this guy is hilarious! It's impossible not to enjoy his class. He's friendly and genuinely cares about his students. He'll help ya out any time you need it, and he makes history really interesting. He's definitely the best teacher I've ever had! Plus he's cute ;)

I love this guy...he is great. He makes you want to come to class and learn; I was heart-broken when I had to miss his class one day. He is funny and very nice looking. I had an history professor last year and I really didn't like her class. If I had the money I would take HI 202 again, but this time taking Mr. Shake n Bake. Great Guy!!!!!

GREAT TEACHER!! He keeps class interesting and makes history enjoyable. I had him my first semester, went to every class but one and read and I had an A with not too much work. I have a B in HI 202 cause I have slacked on reading but I still enjoy going to class! I recomend him 100%

Never a dull moment in his class! Doesn't mind expressing his own opinion which is refreshing. Nice guy, but if you are under 20 and giggle a lot, you will get more attention.

Schoenbachler is a fun professor. Its easy to tell he loves history and likes to teach it. He easily keeps your attention throughout the class. He is quite difficult and picky as well. Its hard to get full credit on essay test questions because he is so picky. He also has a habit of random yelling that gets very annoying before the end of class.

I absolutely love this class. Dr. Schoenbachler is hilarious and a wonderful teacher. His tests are difficult, but if you do the assigned reading and study your notes well, you will be just fine.

He is extremely funny, and he loves history. He reminds me a lot of Jon Stewart. His class, however, is not easy. He expects a lot out of his honors students. There is a lot of reading and a lot of memorizing. Study the notes and readings for the ALL ESSAY tests!

Shake and Bake is a wonderful professor. He is very laid back and fun while also very ninformative. he definitely knows what he is talking about. My favorite professor I've had so far.

Professor Shake'N'Bake is the best History teacher I've had to date. He isn't some football coach teaching U.S. History on the side, Shake'N'Bake is a published historian with a knack for interesting analogies. [i.e.- Controlling the port of New Orleans is like controlling the tap on a keg of beer. Yes, he compared the USA to a keg. And it works.]

He was an amazing teacher!! I took 201 and 202 with him. I never liked history, but his class made me really enjoy it! i got so into his lectures! He is hilarious, and you'll find youself excited to go to his class.. seriously!

You have to read in his class. If you dont you will fail, and he tells you this repeatedly. His classes can be hard if you do not read, but he is fair and his lectures are awesome. Best teacher in the department hands down.

Best. Teacher. Ever. I took for 202 and LOVED it. yes you have to read duh. In what class do you not. Its not a real big textbook thought its just short articals that are actually interesting. You do have to read a small book for the final but it doesnt take long to read. Extremely interesting best class of my life. PS: dont yawn.

Had him for upper level American Revolution class. First, he is hilarious and cusses a lot. If that bothers you, don't take his class. Also, he has some sort of weird obsession with not yawning, so don't yawn. Grades fairly liberally, always keeps the discussion interesting. Love him.

I really enjoyed his class. He is so funny and you can tell he really likes to teach. Attendance is mandatory and you must read (because you're in college). Test are not difficult unless you do not study and read.

He is the best teacher/professor I have ever had! He is SO funny! He is extremely smart and can just sit there and talk to you. His test are 80% in class notes that he says--he tells you what is important. The rest is simple reading. TAKE THIS CLASS! He made my stint at UNA completely worth attending. LOVE HIM!

He is the absolute best teacher i have ever had. Hands down. Read over the material (it's interesting...don't whine about it, you're in college). Make sure to take notes and you'll pass the class easily if you study. He is the most amazing teacher i have ever had and you will not regret taking him. Awesome teacher makes everything really interesting. The funniest teacher I've had at una also he loves to joke around. You do have to read a book but his test aren't that hard if you take good notes. Definitely take him!

He's a great guy, very funny, but his class isn't easy. You HAVE to read the books in order to pass the test. For Honors, the test is essay (3) but it shouldn't be too bad if you study the notes and read the text. I would recommend him but not if you're taking English or something at the same time.

Excellent professor! I get great notes from his class and his lectures are very intriguing. Lots of reading, but if you are in a senior level history class and don't like reading then you've chosen the wrong major.

TAKE THIS CLASS!! I have never taken a History class that I have enjoyed until I took "Shake and Bake!" If you hate boring History classes, this is the class for you! He is one of the funniest people I know, and makes you want to come to class! If you don't try and take his class you are missing out on an amazing college experience. I was an incoming freshman, and he made me feel so comfortable. Just don't yawn in class or he will point you out! Haha

Great teacher! He knows how to connect with and entertain college students all while teaching history. I am actually sad about leaving this class. I would recommend this class to anyone who has to take history.

Dr. Schoenbachler is great. He's really funny and makes history interesting. You need the book and he makes you read a seperate book. His tests are on the reading and the notes, but his tests are not that bad. I'd most definitely recomend him

This is literally the best teacher I've had yet! He's so funny and makes things interesting, but make sure you read the readings he assigns and take plenty of notes! He learns your name and keeps you involved, but don't yawn because he calls you a yawner and points at you lol

His class isn't that hard at all, basically you just need to listen, take notes, and read (readings are typically short). I enjoyed his class so much I'm taking him for HI 202 too!

One of the greatest professors I have ever had!! You must take him for history if you can. I took him this past summer in June so there was a lot of reading, but if you were to take him during the regular semester, you should do fine bc it will be spread out more. Don't yawn though or he will call you out. haha! ;)

He's very passionate about his subject which makes the lectures interesting along with the fact that he's hilarious. He gives tons of extra credit: 2 study sessions per test and each attendance is 2 extra points for said test. He also gives credit for attending lectures. Read the material and take about 2 pages of notes daily and you'll get an A.

Schoenbachler is by far my favorite teacher at UNA. He is hilarious and makes the subject interesting. His test are easy if you study. There is a lot of reading to do.

He's very understanding and his lectures are super informative. He is a great teacher and he's always there for his students for personal and educational problems. I still email him almost every week for moral support and random college questions

Shake & bake gives the best, funniest, most entertaining lectures ive ever sat through. Hes such a cool guy. BUT, his tests are just unreasonable. He gives essay questions only, and expects details down to a T. If you dont study your material insanely thourougly and keep up on multiple readings, you will struggle greatly.

This was my first class at UNA. It was a term one course and was only 24 days. We went over a lot of material, nine movies and ALOT of reading. It was a decent experience overall.

Schoenbachler (pronounced Shane-back-ler) or ShakeN'Bake is a professor that you will enjoy in lecture and his rants and distractions are interesting. However, there are only four grades the entire semester: 3 tests and a book review. He grades harshly on these tests so take lots of notes and do your reading.

Absolutely the best professor I have had at UNA. Took him for two classes and would take him again if I could. He tells history like a funny story that he was there for and makes class very fun. His tests are hard though, you have to prepare hard for them. As long as you do, youll make an A. (The tests are the only grades).

He goes by shake n bake. He has the best lectures and is so entertaining. I took him for honors us history. We only had four grades the whole semester, but as long as you took notes and cake to class you were fine. Class was enjoyable so i didnt mind. Also, the books he required were CHEAP.

Schoenbachler is a great professor. The class is straight lecturing but he makes history fun. He is hilarious and jokes around with us a lot so class is actually enjoyable. The coursework consists of only 3 exams and 1 book review so studying is very important but the tests aren't too difficult. I would definitely recommend him!!

Dr Schoenbachler is one of the funniest professors there is. I would like to take him again but I will admit that I would not have taken this class if it was not required. If he says to read something, READ IT! He gives out quizzes on some of the readings and he does not tell you ahead of time which readings will have a quiz or not.

Professor Schoenbachler, or more commonly known as Shake n Bake, is a gem of a professor. I looked forward to going to his lectures. He makes history interesting. As long as you take good notes and at least skim the assigned readings, you'll do well. I am taking history as a major because of him.

Funny as all hell! Every class is entertaining. By the way, he never cancels class for anything other than what the campus tells him to do.

I LOVE this man! He is absolutely hysterical. The only downside for me is that every class is nothing but lecture. His tests can be confusing and long, but if you take heavy notes and study, youll pass.

There is no textbook so going to class and taking his notes is key, but he is very funny and super helpful!

Dr. Schoenbachler is hilarious and keeps students entertained with his random outbursts and by getting sidetracked. However, his class is extremely difficult as he verbally discusses what is going on and expects everyone to be able to write it all down, rather than showing what needs to be noted on the screen.

He was really fun and his exams were based off of the lectures and a short reading excerpt. Overall a fun and easy class. Very enjoyable

Dr.Schoenbachler is honestly a gem of a professor. His lectures are hilarious and they actually make you want to learn. Though be aware, as the grades for the class are only 4 things, and each are worth 25% of your grade. Take notes also or you won't pass.

I loved his teaching style. Every class is lecture and his PowerPoints do not have words, he just talks so you have to take good notes. He makes the lectures very fun, and I learned a lot. He gives only four grades, three tests and one book review. I would definitely recommend.

Dr.Schoenbachler was awesome! I loved his lectures and he was very entertaining which helped make the content stick. There was a a decent amount of reading done but it wasn't too bad to stay on top of it. If you're looking for a super easy A, this would not be the class to take! Definitely requires a decent amount of study time!

Absolutely loved his class. Very sad I couldn't take his 202 lecture, as it didn't fit with my schedule. I learned so much from him, and he has deep insight on history. He is also a very goofy guy.
