Took her in Fall 2004... never had a cooler teacher. Always willing to help after class, knows her stuff and treats you like a human being. highly recommend but be ready to work hard

This class was super duper easy! I made an A on all of my papers! She is very nice and understanding. She is also very very very helpful!!!! Her grading is not strict at all, but strict enough so that if you make a mistake she corrects you without being so critical about it. You will not leave her class with any misunderstandings on how to write a paper.

Very straight-forward teacher. She hands you everything you need. I reccomend her to anyone who has trouble with English. She assigns short reader response assignments which are the test questions almost word for word. She also gives study guides for all her tests.

Very clear instructions, will proofread papers before turn in so you get an A. You must attend every class to understand not hard but not easy.

Its a great class to take as a freshman. She is willing to help anyone if they ask for it. Class attendance is mandatory, but it you miss a class period you can send her your work but dont count on her sending it back to you on time so your out of luck. Over all its a good class just dont miss her class alot.

Prof. Lang is incredibly nice, helpful, caring. She is a very fair grader and her tests are exactly what she puts on the study guide. Occasionally, she cancels homework readings. Final is not cumulative for Brit Lit. I recommend her, especially for STEM majors, for whom English isn't a strong suit. I love Mrs. Lang!!!

Ms. Lang was an easy grader. I am not a strong essay writer and got all As and Bs on my 5 essays. she requires one in class essay and gives average homework. if you miss more than one day you will be confused as to what she wants for the next essay. Super nice and likeable!

If you don't come to class and actually try she probably won't like you too much, but if you're the type to participate in class and put in effort it's a great class choice for you! We just finished our final and honestley, I don't know how it could have been easier. She gives study guides, reviews material and takes questions on last day of class. Lots of reading but was never anything on test that we didn't know about. Super easy essay. Nice enough person. I'd take her again.

For any English class that has Mrs. Lang listed as an option, I highly suggest getting in that class or staying up all times of the nights to wait for a empty slot (I did),. Mrs. Lang is personally my favorite professor at South. She is understanding of anything that may happen during the semester and is willing to work with you if you do the same.

Love her. I made an A in 101 and 102 with her, and I worked my butt off for it. Lots of my friends made A's and B's. If you ask her for help, she' give it to you. She even made me coffee when i went to her office hours and helped me get an internship I had been wanting. Be ready to go to the writing center a lot -- it really helps.

Don't make the same mistakes over and over again on papers or she will start grading tougher. If you engage and try hard you can make an A!

Dr Lang is the most helpful person I've had so far at south. I will miss not having her anymore :( You will have to work very hard, but its college so what do you expect. If you dont want to work or go to class, you should find somebody else bc she wont like that at all. she wants you to write about whatever you're interested in which was cool

Mrs. Lang was an amazing teacher to have as a freshman. She is really nice and gave outlines for all of papers and had clear deadlines and gave about two weeks to work on every paper. Class discussions were very interesting and she is there for help all the time. I would recommend taking her for 101 and 102.

I definitely enjoyed her as a teacher. She was always very willing to help and make things work for the students. There are approx. 4 major writing assignments and some nights she gives us *easy* homework. She does get off topic during her lectures - mostly on politics- but she is still an awesome teacher and totally recommend her!

I LOVE Mrs. Lang! She cares so much for her students. She really wants you to succeed in her class and in the real world. She isn't just an English teacher. She is also helping me create a resume outside of class! Her classes are very easy if you put in the work. I took both 101&102 with her and made an A. The writing lab helped me do that as well.

I did not like the heavy discussions of politics in class nor did I like being brushed aside a lot of the time. If you ask her to read over your paper for you the first time she will but other times she will not even consider it and just tell you to go to the writing center (which I have no problem with but the writing center doesnt help sometimes)

Honestly I don't know how she does all these papers by herself. some of them are SO BAD i can barely read them during peer review, which i do not like. If you go to her office hours, she will help you. I learned a ton of stuff that I've already been using ion other classes.

I would def recommend taking her class. She's so sweet and helpful. Attendance matters and it's very beneficial in her class. She'll definitely look out for you. She's willing to work with you if she sees your effort and she actually cares. Will meet outside of office hours & on weekends if needed. Easy A!! Best professor I've had! LOVE HER.

Lang is a great prof. I have learned more from her in one semester than I did all throughout high school. There are three major writing assignments and one research paper which is the final and is 10-12 pages long. It's not nearly as bad as it sounds. She gives you plenty of time to do them in. Make sure to go to class!!

Great teacher! If you have the chance to take her for EH 101 do it. She really helps you understand what you are having to write about and she gives you plenty of opportunity and even information to help you with your papers. For 102, there are only 3 papers. Not a lot of homework, if you have any, it's to read. NO tests, just papers.

HANDS DOWN BEST PROFESSOR if you go to class she will see you actually care about your grade and then she will be very helpful and more lenient with you. She doesn't expect you to do something in your paper that she hasn't fully explained and provided an example for. She really cares about her students and will occasionally cancel class so yay!!!

Professor Lang is very sweet and acknowledges that her students are adults and treats them like it. She is very professional and wants her students to succeed. We had 3 big papers and sometimes had helpful writing excersises. I bought the textbook and never opened it.

Lang will pass you as long as you're trying. Stay organized and read the material and you'll be fine. 3 major papers and that's it. She'll make sure you have everything you need to write them. Not my favorite professor but she knows what she's taking about and can be really helpful when you're not doing great or need help.

I took her Fall 2020 online & she was very understanding & lenient. She kept pushing back deadlines on assignments for weeks because my classmates were just lazy & didnt listen, which was annoying. I passed with a 95, but I just didnt have it in me to sit through another English class & write papers, so I took the CLEP exam & got exempt from 102!

Anyone that says she was awful most likely gave her a hard time. She is the best, and maybe even the nicest, most understanding English professor youll get. This is not high school anymore, its college, but she makes the transition so easy for her freshman. I highly recommend taking her, or either take the CLEP exam and get credit that way.

Mrs Lang is an amazing teacher and anyone who has the chance to take her NEEDS TO DO IT!! If you do not get a good grade it is because you did not show up to class or did not put in any effort. She will give you the respect you give her! She is always accessible after class and answers emails. Amazing overall!

Covid zooms have been terrible but at least we have Mrs. Lang. She is by far the most helpful prof I have. She stays on the call after class whenever you need her and she told us how to get covid $ and I got some. She really cares. You better come to class and pay attention, though. Duh.

Yall complaining about getting kicked out of zoom but I'm in that class.
