Had her for a summer course...very intersting ..dry humor..but funny

she's the best Anatomy & physiology prof u can ever find in any of the colleges. she wont waste time in making students learn unnecessary stuff. very helpful and works a lot for students to make their life easier.

Very excellent teacher!! Very good at giving notes and is very fair with exams! Exams are not easy they are difficult however she will prepare you very well!! Should have tooken her for anatomy and phys 1!! But i definately recommend her!!

Very helpful, all tests from notes. Don't need to buy expensive books! Weird humor, nice, but gets weird at the end of semester.

A great teacher who does not go into unnecessary details. She teaches only the most important material, gives notes and exam's questions are from the notes. Easy to pass, just follow the notes.

Excellent Bio teacher!! Very informative and straight forward. ALL TESTS FROM NOTES SHE GIVES. She's very fair and she tells you exactly what you need in order to get a fair grade in her class. She's strongly recommended :)

She was so easy anyone that didnt score a b or an A didn't take notes or study the notes in class it also helps buying her choc. from fanny mae "trinadads" is the most important word of the class!

Odd woman, but what fun! very good instructor. very fair and interested in the students success. class notes are key, be there, take good notes, understand them or ask ... and the class is fairly easy. Ive heard some complaints abouit the teacher .... but only from students upset with poor grade, after not working.

Awesome teacher covers all material and is very helpful and has excellent lectures. Not boring and keeps u interested in the class. Excellent teacher for biology courses. Highly recommend her as a teacher to take.

Entertaining teacher. Was never bored in her class. Exams only off of notes. If you take good notes (& study them) you'll get thru with at least a B. If she taught 132 I'd be taking her again. Highly recommended teacher.

Had her for both 121 & 131. She is not a hard teacher. If you come to class take notes and go over them, you will get an A. You don't have to kiss any behinds, just do what you're asked of. Simple as that. She's not trying to fail anyone.

i was scared at the beginning of the semester but she turned out to be really cool. pretty hard but i learned so much. straight forward but you still need to do your own studying. definitely take her class if you want to LEARN the class, not just pass the class.

An excellent instructor! In her class, learn how to listen carefully. She practically giving away all the answers to her exam questions. Knowing how to jot notes properly and listen at the same time will really help in her class. Listen, Think and be PUNCTUAL! An excellent Professor! I recommend that you take her class!

This teacher was tough but I really enjoyed her class. Don't be late do the homework. You'll get an A. Oh yeah on the tests take full advantage of asking her questions!She'll give you the answers and re-write it for you!! Easy A's on all papers!

she is extremely devoted to her work, well learned, teaches efficiently, provides good explanations for answers of exam questions, gives notes that are very helpful in learning.

She's a good teacher. If you look at the comments, usually people who liked her could also put a sentence together, those who did not ... could barely spell or form a complete thought. Think about it. If u rite like thiss ...do yourself a favor and skip her.

She is very very good!! Her exams are pretty hard, but if you take good notes and learn from them you'll be oki doki! She wrties everything on the board. The notes are pretty much crystal clear. She explains everthing to the last bit. She's very funny and that helps you learn! If you only want to put some effort in learning I highly recommend her!

Good details, a little hard. You have to work for the grade you get, but the tests are not that hard if you study the material and pay attention in class. Has a "unique" sense of humor. The labs are very hard though, she picks the most mangled cat to test on.

She is such an awesome teacher, so straightforward. What you write in class is what you will be tested on. Take good notes and what I did that helped me ace the class was to re-write the notes the night before and study them before the class starts. You literally have to be a moron to be able to fail her 121 class, if only she taught 122...

I Think that Carney is an AMAZING professor!!She does give a lot to read and h.w and also lotsa notes but you will learn with her if you pay attention and stydy hard i think she's amazing!!!TAKE HER!!!

Mauree was one of the best teachers, I ever had. She loves her subject, incorages learning, gives advise and uses jokes a lot.

she is really hard... she takes off a whole letter grade if u have fragments, run-ons, etc... u must submit ur h/w by the beginning of class otherwise she wont take it in...

if you are a good student then you will like her. if you don't attend class or study hard for exams you will hate her. she is very straightforward, gives you exam q's before tests and takes all exam q's from notes. she seems intimidating but really is not.

ENG 101 with prof.Carney ROCKS! Why? Because she will be the first person in ur life to teach you how to write in English! After she gives you lecture for ex. on 'run-ons' if you make a run-on mistake in your essay even once - your grade drops down one. Demanding, but also rewarding for the HARD work you put in. Carney is not the nicest person in the world. In fact, she's awfully rude & may hurt your feelings if you're sensitive. However, her teaching style is awesome & notes are crystal clear. The only way to fail her test is if you don't study or can't read. Course grade is based on 3 exams (1 is dropped) & a ten 10 pt. homework sheets. Awesome teacher!

Best teacher i've ever had. Her Tests come straight from lecture if you study the notes you'll do well. She is passionate about A&P and knows what shes talking about. shes clear and to the point and if you review your notes after every class and do note cards its impossible not to do well she doesnt add fluff work just study and you will do well

if you attend class, take notes and then read/study your notes there is no reason not to get an A. Everything on her tests are exactly from her notes on the board!! Great teacher and very passionate about what she teaches! Highly recommended

Carney's a cool. Very straightforward and doesn't take any ****. her lecture is very structured and clear so there's no reason not to get an A. just try not to set off her "stupid radar".

She is amazing. Just study every bit of her notes and you are guaranteed an A in this class. However, if you are a lazy ass, you're asking for trouble! She's also very understanding. Ooh, dont get on her bad side. Come to class on time or else you'll never hear the end of it. Basically, do NOT piss her off cause then, she's really mean!

Too much annotations, lectures are structured but not interesting. Even if you are one minute late she embarrasses you. Wouldn't recommend.

One heck of a great teacher. FREE LAB BOOKS! you don't have to buy it like in other classes. Exams are right off the notes. Very funny, interesting lectures. A little nuts but great overall. DON'T BUY THE TXTBOOK! Just share with somebody, exams are off the notes in lecture anyway.

Ms. Carney is brilliant. Most of her tests come straight from notes. out of 4 lecture exams she counts the 3 highest scores. No homework at all, and if you do get homework it wont count towards your grade. She does not give too much extra credit.But take my advice and don't mess with her,or it will turn ugly! NO BOOK NEEDED,BUY THE OAKIE ,Good Prof

She's is funny,smart,and takes time to read your work. She's not easy though,just to warn you. If you are lazy,and don't do your homework, don't take her. But, if you really, want to learn how to write than take her! Better be prepard to bring loads of loose sleeve paper with no holes, and nice pens. You write everything.

Ms. Carney is extremely telented both in terms of the amount of knowledge and efficiency in teaching it to the students. Drops lowest Lec. Exam. No quiz, NO homework. After taking this class, I actually decided that I want to go in to Biochemistry. BEST teacher...

She's extremley funny,nice. Don't expect though if u take her class u can just not try your hardest and not do the work. She expects u to be prompt,and to do the work. Also, don;t expect to type, she makes all of use write the old fashioned way, which I'm really thankful for. She also, takes the time to get to know each of her students.

Hard teacher. Take tons of notes. Do not take if you do not intend to study Biology. She tries to relate everything and it gets extremely confusing. Luckily you dont use the massive text book.

She is very strict with her rules, but is also crystal clear with exactly what she wants. She makes you write journals, but the contents are up to you. Just be careful and make sure your papers are always longer than the minimum and you will do fine. Take her if you want to actually learn how to write.

If you really want to learn to write correctly, take this class. Don't give up, even if at beginning it may feels like. The most amazing, informative, FAIR!!!, teacher I ever had. Work hard, do your job (she does her!),and you'll be rewarded. Personally, I loved her sense of humour: very sharp. Overall, it is a fantastic experience!

She is amazing. best teacher ive ever come across on all levels and locations of learning. she is tough and demands you to learn, she provides you with EVERYTHING you will need, its up to you to pass, funny, witty, and a great teacher, take her if you want to retain the knowledge.

Note the pattern on the website: she is very very good at teaching. You will come away from her class really knowing the subject in and out. She is a rare example of someone who can do it all, and do it well. She is funny, fair, and has her presentation down. Just do the work at a college level and you will get an A. Thanks Carney!

Great english teacher with a witty sense of humor.

If you think she is hard, you won't survive grad school or similar (or harder) classes at universities. Prepares you well. She does her part, you just have to do yours. Your grade reflects your effort.

She is an amazing teacher! She teaches the material so well, you don't have to use the book. She is very very smart and knows her stuff. She makes you work for your A. So its not a blow off class. Prepares you for future classes.

AMAZING AMAZING TEACHER! SHE IS PASSIONATE ABOUT THE SUBJECT AND KNOWS WHAT SHE IS TALKING ABOUT. YOU WILL LEARN A LOT FROM HER IF YOU TAKE HER CLASS. HAVE TO GO TO CLASS TO GET THE NOTES AND ALL OF THE TEST COMES EXACTLY FROM THE NOTES. I TOOK THIS CLASS IN THE SUMMER BUT GO TO U OF I AND THIS CLASS IS GREAT IN PREPARING YOU FOR THE FUTURE.

If you don't plan on majoring in Bio don't take this class! She makes you write out all the notes. No computer or cell phones. (Amish Land) The exams are hard so study the notes and make sure you understand them. I would retype all your notes just so you can reorganize them. NOT A BLOW-OFF CLASS!!

She is very hard on students and yes she will make fun of you, if in anyway you distract her from her teachings. She is one tough cookie and a bit odd. This semester with her will be like going to hell. Do pay attention to who your teacher will be.

This is not the easiest teacher to take for biology class. It is hard to pass her class, usually half of people drop the class during first two weeks. However, she makes it very easy to understand her subject, her notes are priceless. She is always very helpful. No book needed with her, study notes and her handouts and you will pass her class.

Honestly, study the notes, join a study group and you will earn an A. If you can easily explain and understand the notes and her concepts, then you will pass this class. That simple.

all the things you have to know for the exams are all on the notes she tells you what to study as long as you study what's on the notes you'll do fine on her exams. she only gives 4 lecture exams and you get to drop the lowest grade you have. Lab exams are easy. I highly recommend her.

Your grade is based on how you test. Study the notes, watch her 1970 dvds and read her handouts you will do well on her exams. Minimal textbook use. She takes points off your test if your caught with your phone lol.

This class was like if Dr. House taught biology class. I liked her, very eccentric, but overall a good teacher and a very kind person if you take the time to get to know her. Help is available if you ask, but she can snap at you sometimes

do the work and you'll pass. she really helped me become a better writer. essays and some quizzes are your grade as well as some homework assignments and journals. they don't take up a lot of time. if you're on top of your stuff then she'll be easy. don't take her if you like to slack. this was a real college course and one i was prepared for

LOVE HER! very generous and honest person. you work for every point. yes, shes eccentric but shes also very kind and helps those who WANT to learn and she sees are trying. I'm glad i took her, i feel prepared for a four year school. memorize the notes and youll do well in the class! wish more teachers were like her :(

Listen, if you actually want to learn concepts that matter, Carney is the way to go. If you are not mature enough to handle a college course, I would advise that you do not enroll in her course. It is not difficult to earn an "A" in her course, so long as you respect her rules, arrive on time, and get your stuff together.

A&P is a tough class, no matter your instructor. You MUST STUDY. Carney is great, she is not warm and fuzzy, nor will she be your best friend. But she will be clear on expectations & information. To pass, TAKE NOTES-WRITE EVERYTHING SHE WRITES! STUDY NOTES + HAND OUTS. Don't miss class, but if you do, get the notes! All tests are from them.

Prof carney is a good professor for actual learning. Scared off all the lazy people first day, so if you're lazy I don't recommend. Not an easy A but if you STUDY THE NOTES you will do fine. Everything is given in paper, no d2l or PowerPoint.

"Study the lecture Notes" (Literally) & utilized the study guide to an extent. 1/4-Lab exams 3/4- Lecture exams. The only way you fail is if you are unable to retain the lecture notes & visual aides of lab stuff in your head. Exams are Multiple choice w/ 5 essay questions. She is there to help you not fail you.

Intimidating at the start of the semester, but don't let that scare you. It's her way of weeding people out. Later in the semester she is nice. Study the notes! That's pretty much all you need to memorize to get an A. Use flashcards! Write down everything she writes down. Her tests consists of multi choice and essay. Kind of hard but doable.

Study the notes! Her exams consist of her notes from lecture. No lab reports or prelab - but there are lab exams. I spent at least an hour or two after each class reviewing her notes. Very fun professor. I looked forward to her class everyday.

Prof. Carney is not for everyone. If you want to do well in this class you need to hit the ground running and treat it as your top priority. Study the notes. Make flashcards. Go over them every day. If you are not prepared to work really hard for it then there are probably easier teachers. Personally, I enjoyed her class.

I've seen others mention her intimidation factor on here. That's true, we had a student walk out day one. However, she gives quality lectures and the only GRADED assignments are the exams. The notes you take will do more for you than memorizing the textbook. She provides a hearty challenge, but I personally find that a little pain helps me learn.

By far, the most knowledgeable professor! It was clear she was very passionate about her field!
