Very vague. Poor people skills. The homework she assigns follows the in class lecture very loosely, and she words her questions in a way that is very confusing. All homework is online, and she requires students to buy a clicker to answer questions in class, because apparenty just raising your hand isnt sufficient. Most expensive class I have taken

One of the worst professors of all time...doesn't answer questions...very unclear....do yourself a favor and take this class with someone else.....and save yourself some money too by not having to buy a cliker and paying for stupid simulations.

This teacher is the worst teacher on the planet. Do not take her at any cost. She got a degree at Harvard and taught a Cornell, there's a reason she got stuck here and is a HORRIBLE teacher. She doesn't answer questions, she can't handle her class size. Serisouly, avoid her at all costs.

She is not clear about what she wants and is always frazzled during lectures. She is very difficult to understand. She is a stingy grader but since everyone does bad on her exams, she does give a curve. It is easy to pass this class if you do all the work, but not easy to get an A.

This class is frustrating. She's very unclear in teaching as well as what her expectations are. She isn't helpful whatsoever! I went to office hours for help and she told me to read the book! Why am I paying tuition to read the book? And why do you have office hours if you aren't helpful? She's condescending. This class is harder than it should be.

DON'T TAKE LOJO. By far the worst teacher I've had yet. Gives quizzes on material that has not been lectured on. All students express their struggles in the class and she says we are being emotional. Class average is extremely low. Class moral is extremely low. Provides only the most complicated examples instead of simply teaching the concepts.

Lojo was one of the most unorganized, scatter brained professors I've had at Sac State. She ended up giving the class around 50 points just so the class average wouldn't be pathetically low. This is the only reason I passed. I learned nothing in OPM101. Does not give partial credit. This class felt as if it were the first class she has ever taught.

This professor is by far the worst I have had. She is unorganized, assigns homework prior to the lecture, doesn't explain the material clearly AT ALL, and makes the class hybrid. Essentially, this is a do it yourself class as you have to teach yourself the entirety of the material.

I've gone to her for help on numerous occasions asking specific questions about her expectations, only to be punished and put down for not having a clear understanding. She ignores emails, is not mentally stable & takes her insecurities out on her students.

She nearly swallowed one of the student who stated something in which she interpreted as "sarcastic tone" poor lady. The homework is easy, but the tests are a whole another level. I don't know if I would take her again. OPM was incredibly interesting to me in my opinion, but she did not teach well at all. I ended up dreading this class. Also, she can come off rude to her students. Beware.

I was unfortunate to come across Professor Lojo. It's a shame this was a hybrid class since she has no understanding of Sac State's technology. The in-class portion of the class was useless. Her "lectures" were basically just her rambling and unsure of herself which causes the rest of the class to feel uneasy. PLEASE, take someone else if you can!

Probably one of the worst professors I've taken at CSUS. 1 month after semester she decides to drop the textbook and assign her own homework. Her lectures are boring and monotone. Gives you very minimal time to complete in class assignments. And to top it all off she is very rude. Only positive thing about her class is that she she didn't take role

Hands down one of the worst classes I have taken in my entire academic career. The entire class is driven by a vaguely-described group presentation/video that makes no sense at all. There is no clear grading rubric as to what is expected. Her lectures make no sense. The exams are super difficult. PLEASE AVOID IF POSSIBLE, you will regret this!!!!!

Professor Lojo is the worst! If you ask a question she gives you the rudest response because she expects you to understand everything she teaches, even tho she sucks at explaining things. She is extremely unpleasant and not helpful at all. Do not take her, you will be miserable the entire semester!!

Hybrid class. In class lectures are hard. She goes through slides really quick, makes it hard to understand the material. She's always in a rush! Avoid her if you can! There's reading quizzes due every week and gives a lot of homework, both online and in class. Double-sided cheat sheet is given for three tests. If you end up with her, Good Luck!

I can't believe this woman is a teach at this school. Gives you A LOT homework. None of which relates to the tests. I don't even know how to study for her exams. Horrible teaching style. Do not take her. I'm doing well in my my classes but hers.

Horrible professor. She seems nice, but she isn't in person. She can be rude and edgy. Her directions are always unclear and she doesn't know what she's talking about most of the time. She lets you have a page of notes per chapter. Overall each test has around 5-6 pages of notes front and back, and yet the class average is a 68%. She assigns homework problems that she does not cover in class or even mention. She honestly should not be a teacher.

She doesn't know what she's talking about, she has to curve the heck out of the grades just to get people to pass, and is just terrible. Nothing nice to say. One gets the notion that Maureen Lojo perceives College Students to be irresponsible and mentally stuck at the third grade level. She teaches with a passionate approach of punishing students for their mistakes and assigning as much homework as humanly possible. Be ready to submit a ton of book assignments and be judged by a fierce grading system.

The organization of her materials online could use some improvement. You have to constantly dig through her powerpoints to find assignments and due dates. She can come off as condescending when answering questions in class.

She does not provide a grading scale. She does not provide any schedule for assignments. It will be nearly impossible to have any questions answered. Test average for my class was 50-60% and there is hardly any way to prepare - reading the book won't even help you. I wish I had dropped this class, don't waste your time.

Definitely the worst professor I've taken at Sac State. Average test scores were 65%, but there's a huge curve. She's difficult to work with, and instructions for in-class & final assignment were confusing af. Only take if it's your ONLY choice. Multiple choice on the exam is harder than the math. Get a study group.

Hw was horrible. Only 3 attempts and rarely will you receive full credit because of tiny mistakes due to large number of calculations. Exams were brutal and confusing. 4-5 Chapters of readings per week due. Avoid this professor if possible. Very strict and gets annoyed easily if students do not understand material or get up to use restroom.

Terrible professor here at Sac State. She is very difficult and goes very fast in class. Exams consist of 50% concepts which she barley covers and 50% calculation. not understanding of students. forced us to bring laptop to class & have wifi to take quiz on a special lockdown browser. gets angry at students & micromanages. assignments are ridiculous; she put ALL essays in EXCEL for us to peer review. tests were HARD, but the curve was so good i passed them. she adds extra points so her pass rate will be okay.

Horrible. Try try try not to take this professor. Weekly math assignments & group discussion where she grades way too harshly. The study guide was just like the homework but the exam was nowhere close. The highest midterm grade was 43%. Really wish I took a different professor in another semester.

Do not take her. The amount of work she gives is ridiculous. Half of it does not even apply to the test. The group discussion is a joke, AND to top it off she grades them so harshly. When you try and get help or anything from her she makes you feel stupid. Please avoid her and this class, she makes it 10x harder than it needs to be.

I am not one to complain about professors, but Lojo has been the worst professor I have come across during my undergrad education. Take it from someone with a 3.9 GPA, avoid this class! I appreciate the material Lojo covers in her course. It is a lot of formula-heavy but useful information for someone going into OPM, or wanting to *really* learn about it. However, she is: unhelpful; vague and slow with grading; and needlessly strict. You will hear the phrase "I can't help with that" frequently during your time with her. Good luck!

What if her students could not understand the lecture for the first time? Ridiculous! She makes this class become harder that it should be! She also makes her student read book and watch movie! I cannot say enough negative things about her. The homework dedication a week is almost impossible for a student with a job to make time for. She discourages collaboration with peers by deeming it "cheating". Lectures are nothing like HW, HW nothing like the test. She tells us to use excel for homework and bans excel from exam days. Literally evil.

Worse professor I've ever had. Does not help students. She rather email us and tell us to drop the course if we aren't doing good. Test is nothing like hw and she preaches to us excel on hw and she lectures using excel but on tests we cannot use excel. This prof's teaching method need to be changed! She just want to torture students, doesn't want her students to understand the lectures. Professor Lojo really just doesn't care about her students. If you're behind on the class shell tell you to drop, she will make absolutely no accommodations to her students and simply doesn't care how her students do in her class. She uses Exel in lectures and encourages you to use it for the homework assignments, but then you can't for exams.

The material for her class does not match what you will do on the homework and be tested on. She encourages you to use excel for complex calculations, but then doesn't allow you to use it on the exam. The average on exams are always 60%. Avoid her if you can't handle tons of homework, time commitment, and teaching yourself in this class.

I'm usually pretty patient and open-minded with professors but Prof Lojo is just unbearable. It's too bad that there aren't many more other options for OPM 101 instructors. Doesn't know her own material, taking calls from her daughter mid class, falsely accused me of cheating and dropped grade from over 90% to a 70%. Wanted to fail me, but Dean laughed cause she had 0 proof to her claim, she just straight up doesn't like certain people. Absolutely 100% the worst professor at Sacramento State (maybe world).

Stay far away from her! Does not care for student success. Will say in one of the emails that she expects many students to drop out of class or fail which is a horrible perspective for teaching. I was so fortunate to have her for OPM 101 and MKTG 160 in the same semester! Not only was I double F'd cuz she sucks at teaching both courses but I had to listen to her awful lectures four time a week. Professors doesnt give homework related to the test and is very rude if you ask questions. My class asked for harder homework that would be similar to the test and she said No because that would be to easy of a test. Half the class will fail and have to drop and shes no help at all during office hours.

She has a target of 80% of students passing her 101 course. Refuses to take student feedback about exam complaints. Instructs students to rely on excel during homework but requires lockdown browser for exam. Will not show you what you get wrong unless you make a meeting with her. Has "no takeaways" from a class average of 54% on an exam.

She is condescending towards students who are struggling with the material, and instead of taking constructive criticism from the majority of her students who are struggling, she gets defensive. I have never seen someone care so little about the success of her students that I think she enjoys seeing us struggle.

The exams are nothing like the homework, she directs the blame towards us on why the exam averages are literally F's, and when asked how we can do better she refuses to offer any help and blames us for not understanding material she never taught us in the first place.

Questions asked receive a condescending answers. Class always ran over time and you wont receive class credit if you don't stay and finish. Taught fast. Expected everyone to watch lectures before class that were supposed to be an alternative. Class failed 2nd exam so she made exam 3 harder by adding info from exam 2 and making it worth more points.

Her tests are extremely difficult, homework is tough. Will not give any leeway. Many have tried to report and get her fired but she is protected by the union. Many people have dropped over one month and others are going to roll through the class and hope to get a good grade. You put in the work but don't get anything out of it. Don't take her.

Do not for the life of god take this professor!! She does not care about your grade. She changes the test questions so you will be thrown off on the exams. She is very bad at teaching. You will spend hours and hours on most homeworks trying to learn it yourself because you definitely wont be able to learn it from her directly.

REVIEWS ARE100% right she is HORRIBLE! First week of class 6 assignments were due, even before she held any class, due to the Strike. WAY TOO MUCH WORK FOR AN INTRO CLASS. Horrible introduction, mentioned that life is just too forgiving, that exams would be made up of most missed questions on the quizzes. SHE FINDS JOY SEEING HER STUDENTS STRUGGLE!

AVOID HER! First day of class she brags about pass rates being low. Study guides are taken and not given back until 3-4 weeks later. Multiple students have gone to the dean and chairman and they won't do anything because of that tenure she brags about. Sac State listen to your students. She was very rude & wasn't helpful when asking questions. She constantly brought up about how so many people have failed her class but doesn't change anything about her learning style. She's more worried about trying to keep people from cheating than actually teaching the material. I would highly avoid taking her class, but if you do, good luck!

This class was utterly abysmal. You waste a solid third of the class on a book report she could have taught in twenty minutes. A majority of your score will be via tests, which average about 60% from my experience / cohorts stories. The Material is either purposefully tricky, or unintentionally confusing. She outright called my class dumb lol.

This professor is not very good at lecturing about the subject. She will rush through it and leave you to understand it on your own. Literally get ready to teach yourself basically. Exams are tough and not similar to homework assignments at all. You will be in for a long one !

Now uses TopHat during lectures and deducts participation points for answering questions incorrectly. Textbook no longer required. Provided practice problems during lectures but they were nothing like the ones on the homework or tests. Tests were HARD and not really like the homework. Will give out tons of extra credit because of low test averages

Currently taking her class right now. She is one of the worst professors I have had. She exhibits all the characteristics of a bad professor. She speeds up too much during lectures, making it difficult for me to process the material. She frequently makes mistakes during lectures, which adds to the confusion & is a passive aggressive person.

One time I talked to her about a personal matter and she decided to air my business to the whole class because she didn't like I was going to miss a class.

Worst teacher I've EVER taken. Grades attendance based on correctness, where she gives us less than a minute to solve word problems. Gives us 75 min to do a 30 question test and half the questions weren't on the review. Does not explain anything in lectures. I literally have to self teach and figure out formulas myself. I'm on track to fail
