Alright, someone must have really been pissed off with their grade in order to repeatedly spam Maureen like this. She likes those who actively participate in class, regardless of topic. You must do your homework and it isn't much. Just pay attention and be sure to either ask her or the smart kid next to you questions and you will do well.

her class was easy to follow. all you had to do was come to class and follow her handouts. she;s really nice and explains things really well. i would take her class again.

This teacher is by far the most understanding teacher Ive ever met. Ive seen so many students in her class miss deadlines for quizes, tests, and homework and if you gave her a puppy face she would give you an extension. She has one quiz a week and the homework can be chicken scratch and she'll accept it. Easy A if you can handle it.

Maureen is an excellent teacher. If you show up to class, pay attention, do your homework, and ask questions when needed, then you will learn a lot from her.

Maureen was extremely personable and complete in her curriculum. Her unique sense of humor made governmental accounting, which is in essence a dry topic, as enjoyable as it could possibly be. She also offers knowledgeable incite to candidates anticipating to take the CPA Exam. As an added bonus, she has great eyes and is not too bad to look at.

HER TESTS ARE VERY HARD!!!!!!!! i study hard but i only got a B in the class... overall, she is a cool and nice teacher, and she teachs pretty good. also you have to show up every class cuz she has pop quizes and homework check.... again! her tests are too tough...god!

The best accounting teacher ever. All you have to do is attempt your homework. Quizzes are easy and the test are ok. Shes helpful and the class is colorful and fun. She hands out candy too. Just show up and get at least a B. Guaranteed A for effort. She understands everything. Late tests are given too.

Maureen is an excellent teacher that expects a lot from her advanced students. Her governmental class is essential for the CPA exams and she properly prepares those who are willing to work. Her handouts are excellent and the test are hard. But hey you are in college now, tests should be hard and you should feel priveledged to get a note packet.

I had her for the online class. No big complaints. She was responsive, and quite helpful. On the other hand, the 10th edition book for this class is just awful. Do yourself a favor and look up the 9e web site for the book, which will better prepare you for the quizzes and tests than the 10e version.

Great Class!

Took online class, 16-week semester. No complains. Well paced curriculum. Extra points for homework completion. Wiley is a great tool - did not even bother acquiring a book, just bought a code at Wiley's website. Do the HW, and the Quizzes, test grades do not outweigh on the total.

Not much instruction for this class which is typical for every online class I've taken. However, if you have questions..Go in and talk to her! She's a good teacher who's very willing to help you and is outstanding in an advisory capacity. She also lets you see incorrect quiz answers in BB now so you can learn from mistakes. She also curves grades.

I found her to be very helpful I emailed her and her responses were fast and detailed - she provided a great framework do you can work through things and teach out when you need help ... Great instructor if you need help

I am taking her right now. she is THE BEST! i've been bugging her with a lot of questions and she will always respond and she tries to help as much as she can. she has pushed the due dates for quizes and assignments back because i haven't had a chance to make it to a computer. She has been helping me understand the matterial and she always answers to emails really soon. Accounting is a hard class but she explains it well. She makes me want to major in accounting and she is hilarious, i've been crying of laughter in class. I am taking her for managerial accounting and i am very excited for next semester.

I cannot say enough positive things about this professor she knows the material and teaches it to you like you are watching a show on TV she lays out the details and includes little stories and before you know it you have learned it . She also cares so much for each student in the class she takes her time to make sure everyone is taken care of.

LOVE HER!! Very funny and knowledgable. After taking her class I changed my major to accounting as well. Reading and a lot of HW is to be done but that's the same for all accounting classes. If you're ever lost go to her office and she'll make accounting seem like a breeze. Sometimes gives "extra points" and really is there for you to succeed.

I took the online class and I found it to be easier than I expected. Dr. Mcbeth had office hours every day of the week for at least 2 hours a day in case students needed help. The lectures online were provided by the book but were clear and helpful. I went in a couple of times for clarification and she was very good at explaining what I did wrong.

Very doable class. Although I never had any sort of issue with any of the material, she always stressed that she was available to help those in need. Everything is all there in the course and very accessible. Weekly hw/quizzes and 3 exams. Would definitely take another class from her again

This class mostly consisted of doing hw and taking quizes and tests online, without much help from the teacher. You had 2 or 3 chances to get the hw ?'s right so it is easy to get an A if you put in the (easy) work. Only negative: he book is EXPENSIVE, about $300 and you have to purchase it new for the WileyPlus access code.

Took Maureen and Dan Vitales super section for accounting 2140 and 2150. They both helped solidify my choice to major in accounting. Go to class, participate and she will help you as much as you need! Maureen is by far my favorite professor at cod. Take her!!

Really great class gets you excited about studying accounting

Took this class over the summer to get a few extra CPA hours. You will definitely have to put some time into it, but you can end up with an A or B in the class. It is manageable if you have an Accounting background but what you would expect from an upper level course. There are a handful of useless, annoying projects but got an A+ on all of them

Mrs. McBeth is an amazing teacher. She is funny, and silly at time and makes accounting fun to learn usually. You have to read a lot from the book, and there is a ton of homework and quizzes, which is a good cushion for that A you want. Exams are around 35% of your entire grade. As long as you study and do your homework, and work hard you're good.

Prof McBeth was great. The class is definitely not for the faint of heart. It has some really challenging concepts but the online lecture videos and work prepare you for the assignments and quizzes if you do them and study. McBeth was always quick to answer and motivated me to keep going mid-term. I learned a lot for my major.

If you want a prof who really knows how to teach the material and help you succeed, take mcbeth. She will work with you to help you succeed in her class. I wish I could take more classes with her.

She was a great teacher who was always accessible for extra help if needed. The class itself was considered to be hard, but I would say that professor McBeth does a great job of making it as easy as possible. All expectations for tests are listed a week in advance, and quizzes are all done at home. Late work is accepted in this class too!

She's awesome and will help you gain many opportunities outside and inside the class. Highly recommend that you take her because she will help you throughout your journey in accounting. I was able to get an A by just doing the work.

I took a few classes with McBeth and she's the most inspiring professor. Her lectures include examples that help students understand accounting. She cares about all students and wants them to enter the accounting profession ready. She will go out of her way if students do the work and show interest. She was very nice and funny. She was always willing to help, and seemed very passionate about the class. If you had any questions she was always willing to help. Tests and homework were based off what we learned in class, so as long as you stayed on pace with the work the class was easily manageable.

She knows how to break the concepts down and make the material easy to understand. So helpful with advising - picking classes and applying for internships. The best teacher I have had at COD. You will succeed if you take her class.

I got a D or I am going to get a D is this class when everything is over , its just a lot of online work on conncet doing smartbooks If you do all the smart books and hw and did the campus engament; and failed the final you would get a B the real question you have to ask yourself is do you really want to study accounting and give ur time up.

One of the best teachers at DuPage. I took 3 accounting classes with her and she honestly taught me more than any other teacher at DuPage, and probably any teacher I've ever had. Her explanations of course material are very good, and if you're struggling she'll help you work through it. I have nothing but good things to say about this teacher.

Her difficulty level is around a 2 compared to other sections, but you'll still have to do work. She cares about students who try and offers guidance and internships to help them grow.
