I love her! She is a great teacher. I would def. suggest taking her classes!!!
She lectures too fast yet an overall good professor and good teacher. This class is hard as hell, be prepared to have no life and work your ass off...
Awesome, awesome teacher! One of my favorite yet...really helpful, fast lectures, great class to attend. She has high expectations but not too difficult if you go to class and pay attention. Would definately recommend!
GREAT Prof. I loved her. Tests are hard but she gives you most of the info. you need for them.
Maureen is awesome! I would recommend every girl take her Women's Bio course. I learned so much. Fast, precise lectures, interesting info always, made cute jokes to keep the mood light, fun labs, never knew a science course could be so amazing.
The content of the classes is difficult, but she is very clear and concise in her teaching. She makes it enjoyable. She is an asset to SCSU!
very angry teacher
doesnt help students, wants us to do bad
The class is hard I'm not going to lie to you, but she is a really nice professor. Get ready to do some work, but you also learn a lot of interesting facts. She is really easy going, and the work load isn't bad at all. I recommend taking this class.

Boring, so boring, I draw the whole time. She is very unclear. She puts too much info on one powerpoint slide which makes it difficult to get the main points. She makes stupid jokes and she is the only one who laughs. BORING! She hates cell phones and students who talk and dont listen to her.
Tubbiola is a nice teacher but this class is horribly hard.
She can be very hard to follow in lecture. Her tests are VERY VERY hard and she tests on the slightest details that would normally be too nit picky for other professors to put into their test. Read the book before lecture and STUDY STUDY STUDY!!!
Never take her...She is an awful professor. I hear she is even harder in Biology 202 and 204. I honestly will never take her for another class ever again. She likes to watch people fail. Good Luck if you do have her.
She is a mean teacher. she is very unhelpful and I wish I never had to deal with her. Yes the class is hard but she doesn't have to be such a you know what to help you out. I wish she would just retire. Don't take her, trust me.
Horrible teacher! Seriously, I think she wanted us to do bad, and when I sent an email to her the day after the testy she didnt get back to me for 3 weeks, not to mention it was a totally rude email from her. Her class is so boring and hard to comprehend. DO NOT TAKE HER!!!!
It is a tough class. She always seemed pretty nice to me, the one time I noticed her get upset in lecture was when someones cell phone went off. I mean that pisses me off also, I would be really pissed if I were the prof leading the class. Have some respect people, turn off the cell phones.
Take Hartzler. Tubbiola is awful. She just reads the slides and her analogies get you more confused than the big words she uses. She wants you to fail. Gazal is good but hard to understanding.
She is an ok teacher, she is good at answering questions but flys threw slides and its hard to follow along. take Hartzler
Ughhh!!! This class is so hard, you really need to study EVERYday! Tubbiola doesn't really teach in a way that you can remember... so pretty much you have to know a little before taking the class and then you need to study ALOT. There is a crap load of stuff on each test and all the ?'s are specific

She moved really fast and got side tracked easily. Her tests didnt seem to follow her notes too well. Be sure to read read read because her tests seem to be from the book and the diagrams.
very knowledgeable and answers very question you ask! Very helpful too! Expects you to work hard but the course is excellent!
Tough course but she is a nice teacher.
Great class fun prof. I enjoyed her class very much. she fun and makes learning interesting. She shares a lot of personal and funny stories and makes the class enjoyable. Lots of easy 10/10 papers. Very knowledgable! I recomend
HATED HER
She can get pissy and it's a tough course but if you show uo on time and pay attention you'll be fine.
horrible class with her. this is the hardest class and she made it worse by flying through the slides and making the exams so hard, a 55% was the average. watch out for her!
hard class, good teacher
She was a very funny teacher to have. When I came in there with a bad day, leaving her class cheered me up because she was so funny. The tests are hard, Make sure you study the diagrams and the notes you take!
She scared me. I felt that she is unapproachable and when I asked to see my exam, she made me feel like I was going to cheat for the final exam or something.
Great instructor, very well versed on the text and able to share the information with students. She is tough on Attendance stuff, but I think these profs need to be, Is there ANYONE who likes to be interrupted continuously by people who have overslept, or are just to lazy to get there on time. :)
good instructor, attend class, slides are on D2L, and study for test and you'll do fine.
She is a good prof overall, really hard in some ways, but helps out by giving extra credit opportunities. Follows outlines very well. And very clear.
She never teaches!! Just reads off of the powerpoint!! I thought college was about learning...
Her class is boring as she reads off her notes on PowerPoint that can also be found on D2L, but she does add things in here and there that you need to know. Labs are fun and just once a week. Her tests, however, were really hard for me.
she reads off her notes which on D2L. She is very interesting but her class is kinda boring. The labs which are once a week are usually pretty fun. the tests are rather difficult tho.
This is a very challenging class but is possible to get an A in if you really apply yourself. Read ALL the chapters, study very hard for all tests, and show up to lectures and lab. Tubbiola basically reads right of her powerpoints and is a extremely strict teacher. She doesn't tolerate cell phones or disrespect in class, so be careful.
This professor often talks over the students head. In comparison to the other instructor in this particlular course, she does not explain things as clearly. She does, however know a whole lot about the course material.
BIA---jk. yea extremely hard. profs like her just make the subject very unmotivating, though an interesting subject. GO TO CLASS, or get a 0 on those unannounced quizzes, they reflect ur attendance. doesn't respond to email and definetely doesn't try and help students get better. ur in hell if you have her. but had the nicest TA though Alex Reberg.
Her class is interesting....test are quite hard though. No cummulative final...but the last test has like 9chapters!
poor at best
very intense class needed for various medical professions, i'm going into nursing and learned a lot during this course but i did not miss one lecture or lab, studying my butt off, and ended up with a C. higher grades are possible but usually if you are taking the class for a second time :( very specific test questions, first exam is the easiest!

I found this professor very difficult. I didn't think that she was helpful in anyway. I feel like if we are paying her to teach then she needs to do more than read off a powerpoint. Anyone can do that!
Awesome class- if you pay attention and do the work you learn A TON. Definately a weed-out class for nursing program- hard but I got a 96% so its not impossible. Same goes for 204- she seems way more approachable 2nd semester probably because all of the slackers were gone. She laughs a lot so thats nice- lab TA's are AWESOME
very good teacher. explains things well. Yes she is a hard teacher but so is the level of the class. Ask questions and she will answer in good detail.
she is a awesome teacher and tells really funny things about her family and stuff.the test is hard but she gets u readdy.I WANT TO MEET HER DAUGHTER!she sounds really cute and funny like her awesome mom!i think her name is clare.i think people should love her but she can't please evaryone.loved her!

Worst teacher ever. Makes students to time consuming CPR assignments so she doesn't have to correct any homework. Her TA's do all of her dirty work. Impossible class.
This class is a lot of work but very interesting. I really enjoyed lectures and the tests werent too bad. Lab on the other hand was extremely tedious and an insane amount of work both in and out of assigned lab times. Whenever I emailed her with questions before a test she always had a promp answer. Overall a good class.
This class is extremely piled up with details of anatomy for the whole semester. Her lecture is clear. The lab is horrible considering the materials to learn and memorized in such a limited time... and worst of all her TA were not helpful at all and often remind you of the book when they don't know the answers, especially that girl!
this prof sucks. has an annoying laugh which interrupts like every sentence. too many powerpoints. laammmmeeee...
Very hard class do not take on line with Tubbiola she is not very much help even when u go into talk to her. This is not a class for someone taking over 12 or more credits this class is also not clear on what to study being that there are 80+ words a chap...Over all very hard class and not a very helpful teacher.
Thinks everything she says is funny and laughs with an annoying laugh. Clears her throat every sentence. A week ago she told my friend "to shut the hell up" and I frown upon curse words in class, especially from a teacher, NOT PROFESSIONAL.
Good teacher- I've gone to class maybe 5 times this semester, there are about 5 random quizzes. Tests are doable- not easy or hard, they're okay. Labs are fun and mandatory. Lectures are read off powerpoints and are online.
Took class online, not hard if you keep up (2 chapters/week). Weekly online quizzes, 2 pronunciation exams, and 2 proctored exams. Class ends about a month before finals so that was awesome! MAKE FLASHCARDS and memorize prefixes/suffixes. No final :)
Was an ok teacher, but went way too fast during powerpoint lectures. Laughs at things that are not funny. Helpful is you ask her questions outside of class. Final was ok, except that she put trick questions on it.
Dr. Tubbiola is a super nice lady, but this class is extremely hard. Her exams are really hard. The material is hard to grasp. She reads off of a powerpoint which is nice. Basically do well in lab and you will pass. Good Luck. Tubbiola is not very helpful.
Horrible class! Over a hundred slides and text to read for each exam. Exams are very difficult. She isnt helpful and DOESNT give out a study guide. Half the class is failing and persits on telling us its our fault and not hers! I dont recommend this class. It may be a 100 level course but dont let that fool you More like a 300 level amount of work!
She gives great analogies to help understand materials... I'm an A student and got a B in the class, probably could have gotten an A if I would have studied just a bit harder for the tests...The tests are the most difficult part of the class since they cover a TON of material.. class isn't mandatory but its worth your time to go.
Tubbiola loves her Biology. She has a passion for it, you can tell in the way she presents her lectures. She uses excellent analogies for students who may be stuck. There is one catch: You have to ask her for help, but that's what college is all about. Read the textbook and study with friends and you're guaranteed a B or B+.
class was glamorous. class was full of learning and fun. i should call her fashion consultant. what a fab colection of outfits.
Online class. Crystal clear syllabus. Takes some work, but it is expected of this field of work. Very pleasant interactions with prof. for pronunciation tests.
I took Medical Terminology online with Dr. Tubbiola. She was good about answering questions and was very personable and helpful. Read the chapters and make notecards. The pronunciations of words from the CD was a little off. Ask her if you have questions. I really enjoyed my interactions with her.
Very knowledgeable about subject taught, high expectations but helpful, enjoys teaching her classes. Uses humor when teaching. I enjoyed her!
RIGHT NOW SHE IS TEACHING 1/2 OF BIO 151 WHICH IS GENETICS; SO YEAH, IT IS GOING TO BE HARD. A LOT OF PEOPLE DID BAD ON HER FIRST TEST, BUT SHE CURVED THE GRADE: GOT 85 OUT OF 80. SHE IS AN INTERESTING TEACHER AND I THINK THAT SHE TEACHES IT WELL. I WOULD SUGGEST READING THE BOOK. I READ IT ABOUT TWICE BEFORE EACH TEST. HAVE TO UNDERSTAND CONCEPTS.
She's ok. I found her tests more difficult than Kvaal. Covers a lot of info in a short time but explains it well. Definitely need to study book AND notes for tests. She curves tests though so that's really nice. I got 85/80 on one of them.
Loved her, her tests were really easy to understand.
She is a very intelligent women. I highly enjoyed her lectures and her classes. If you have absolutely no interest in biology, then it really won't matter which teacher you have. Her tests are a little difficult, but definitely do-able. It's a college class, it's going to be a bit of a challenge. She's a great teacher. Highly recommended.
She's nowledgeable and wordy, tests very hard, no curve and no shading grades. But lab was for TA responsibity not for the professors, it's impossible. It was very unorganized for the final and time consuming because of four tests.
I found her class to be extremely hard. I studied the material and still couldn't get good grades on her tests. She knows EVERYTHING about what she teaches but her teaching style is lecture and dull. Labs were alright. Better than the class for sure. It is interesting stuff but hard to understand with how she teaches. At least for me.
Tests are hard, but can be passable if you study a lot. Go to all the classes it will helpful for your grade in the end. Labs are pretty easy. The class was very interesting I'm glad i took it.
Prof. Tubbiola was great, it is a hard class but if you study you will do well. She was very willing to help if you needed it. Online class moves quickly, she gives some extra credit. She is reasonable if you don't take advantage. Be ready to work and you will do well.
Her test were super hard! She didn't specify what to study and it was really hard to get good grades on her tests. She is a funny and nice professor but did not help me at all.Attendance isn't mandatory But she takes attendance on FRIDAYS and when she hands back tests. Be prepared!
She expects everyone to be a scientist in class no matter what you background is. She keeps saying think like a scientist which in fact she means think like "her". Not so specific and helpless. Tests are not challenging, they are impossible. I hope she realizes this a 100-level course, not a PhD class. She definitely enjoys making it difficult clas
This class was ridicilous! The first day she said "I have tried to make the test easier but I just can't (giggle giggle)" What a joke! Asking questions and getting an answer from her without sounding condesending and making you feel stupid for possiably asking it will be the only way she answers it. Grades are only posted weeks after they are due!
She gives an interesting lecture. If you can get through 202 then 204 won't be a problem. I've heard she's not very approachable with problems but since I did what I was expected I had none. I would recommend her, she's very knowledgeable in endocrinology.
Medical Terminology was a super hard class, she expects you to know every word in the book. Not as understanding as she could be, but make sure you study a lot. Her grading scale is higher than normal, too.
I took the class online, and would recommend NOT taking it. Her tests/quizes are hard, and her grading scale is high (93 for an A). She seemed nice and very knowledgable but why make this class harder than necessary?? Very few points and a short time frame makes this class challanging.
Great lectures. Very knowledgeable. If you put in the effort you will do well. If you ask specific, thoughtful questions, she is very helpful.
This is a hard course b/c of the material, not b/c of the instructor. Tubbiola is a helpful and knowledgable resource, but the rigors of the anatomy course mean the student is responsible for memorizing tons of info. Tubbiola is always available during lab to help identify structures and pose analytical questions. Offered lots of extra credit.
Very clear expectations. and fair grading. You need to put in some effort, but it is worth it to learn the material. She is very prompt to answer questions and compassionate.
The class has a lot of information to cover, so there is a lot of memorizing and work to put in. However, I thought that all the quizzes, charts, and exams were a fair in their content. She gives a lot of partial credit on the proctored exams. The pronunciation exams were a bit nerve wracking, but just practice all the pathology terms out loud!
I thought Dr Tubbiola was one of the best I've ever had. She is understanding to those who may not be so science inclined, but be prepared to actually do your work and study. It's a great class if you actually apply yourself. Would for sure take again!!
Dr. Tubbiola is an incredible professor. It is a difficult class but is worth the challenge. She is extraordinarily smart and understanding. Would for sure take again and recommend it her for any class that she teaches.
Its, an online class but you still have to study, study for the two exams, you will have to memorize a good amount of words but it will be worth it.
Dr. Tubbiola is a wonderful teacher. This by far has been one of the toughest most enjoyable classes I have ever taken. The course is very difficult due to the amount of content but if you truly want to become a medical professional you will enjoy this class far more than any other. I definitely recommend any aspiring to medical prof. to take this
Took her for med term, there are 2 proctored exams and 2 oral exams. There are also 2 weekly quizzes for each of the thirteen chapters. She has one bonus point for each quiz usually. Lets just say im glad the class is over it was so much memorization. I took it because it was only half a semester, if you take it with friends/practice youll survive
This course has a lot of content and she understands. Her lectures are long, but if you are willing to pay attention they are very helpful and she makes them relatable. Her exams are very difficult and sometimes worded hard, but she is always willing to help you better understand. She gives practice exams for practice and extra credit.
Took as a hybrid course, only came in once a week for labs. Did not provide basic materials for the hybrid students, no study guides, and no extra credit other than one paper for attending a science fair. Exams were 71% of the final grade, do not take this course if you are not a good test taker!!! The professor was not good at helping students.
She honestly is a really cool professor, and is pretty funny during lectures. For the tests she used questions from weekly quizzes, which made it predictable content to study. I thought she was super caring to because she went over common questions that weren't correct. most points come from tests though so you have to do well on them
