Easiest instructor I've never seen! Will go trhough problems before exams and that it's impossible to fail. Not much effort needed to get an A. Fantastic! Don't miss it!

He's a very intersting teacher, makes his class so that everyone will pass. If you end up needing extra help, go get it! Otherwise, u'll be stuck in the gutter. You can use all of the quizes/notes/exams on on your final, which is I.D. to the review.

Geraghty is a great teacher. One of the better math teachers I have had. He is very clear on his lectures and his tests are not too difficult if you have done the hw and listened during his lectures. I recommend anyone to take him.

doesnt take roll,tests are basically hmwk probs. quiz every fri. some group work that u can take home. collects hmwk for points to see if u did it but doesnt correct them. grading scale helps boost ur grade.has a sense of humor. i recommend this teacher.

he loves what he does. there are quizes every friday but he drops your 2 lowest quiz grade. homework is due every friday, but it is worth points.

HE is a good teacher, but he messes up too much, don't know if its the time (7:30) but sometimes after writing down, he changes his mind then you have to change your notes. But his class is easy, 4 pages of notes! thats BEST part, never had that be 4.

Good teacher overall. Though for Statistics he went a bit fast. He's helpful and friendly. However, I hate the Statistics book by Mr.Soler, it made the classes and studying quite a bit more difficult. I would HIGHLY recommed Illowsky for Statistics.

Mr Mo is one of the kindest teachers on this world. So clear, tests are sooo easy if you study, of course. Always willing to help students but occasionally makes mistakes in calculating. But overall, good teacher!

this teacher is one of the coolest teachers i've had. in the middle of lectures he throughs in jokes and the quizes are easy and so are the tests. all u need to do is do the HW, becaue thats where he gets his quiz and test questions from.

Take Calculus with Geraghty! Easy and he makes the materials very understandable. Very nice. Gives partial credit in quizzes and Exams. 8 quizzes (every Friday except when there is an Exam), 3 Exams and 1 final. Easy to get a good grade in his class.

He's probably the easiest math teacher I've had so far at de anza college. He's very helpful, clear, and doesn't mind repeating stuff until u understand...His tests are really easy, although he does assign a lot of hwk -- it's due in the end of the week.

He's so easy, and for his final he gives you 4 pages of notes(this is unbelieveable!). all you have to do is study the review really understand them and you'll get an A. GPA BOOSTER~ RECOMMENDED

Took him in Summer'04. Although we had to rush everything (6 weeks compare to 12 weeks), but he tried his best to bring out the material even though he makes stupid mistakes often. Take him if you want to learn and get good grade!

He is one of the best at De Anza. Tries hard to make you understand the materials. Often tells weird jokes about his experiences with math. Great and pretty easy teacher. Take him if you want to have a easy quarter of math and still learn something.

I'm currently taking his class,but he is really nice and helpful professor. This quarter he had made a very great decision of NOT giving any quizzes b4 or after the exam to torture student. He gives groups work that's considered as extra credits. I've earned a high grade score in his class. So KOOL!

Greate Teacher. Explains well and very predictive with Quizes, one every friday so you will know what to study for. Makes his class fun and easy going. Let you have notes on Tests. I really recomend taking him if you want to lear math and get a good grade.

Although I've had calc before, this class made everything fit together. His lectures are great! I've NEVER had anyone explain integration and its applications like this before! I never did hwk after 1st few weeks. Still got an A! Just pay attention, know what's being covered, and take good notes!

Professor Geraghty is one of the best teachers. He really trys to help students understand the material. Always willing to answer your questions. Open book/notes on exams so you dont have to memorize the formulas. Highly recommend this professor!

id have to say that this teacher is very helpful but is often times unclear and uses this****ty stats book by soler. the class is also very fast paced and is a bit demanding at times due to labs.

For all of you stat students complaining about Geraghty, he is a GOD next to the other stat teachers at DeAnza. I did horrible in this subject previously, but I'm getting a good A in his class. He is very clear, gives plenty of examples, doesn't make you do long tedious calculations, and allows notes on the midterms.

Mr Geraghty is an excellent lecturer despite the fact that you have do all the lab works, projects and study hard for 4 midterms. I took both his Math 10 and 11 in Spring 2005 and I got A for both subjects. He provides online notes prior the lectures and explains very clearly every topics in depth. I would recommend students to enroll for his class

He is a good teacher. You get four pages of notes for tests and the final so that helps a lot. Not a lot of homework either. Sometimes he is a bit confusing, but overall I'd recommend him, probably better than most other options.

I actually liked Stats after taking his class, and I hate all types of math. Not very hard, but you gotta do the work. He's a really nice and helpful guy, too. He's method of teaching actually gets you interested because he uses a lot of real life examples to explain the concepts. Probably the best math teacher at De Anza, so take this class!!

Perhaps the easiest Math professor in De Anza. You can't go wrong in his class. Some 'credit as you try' groupwork problems, one final and 4 Mid-terms, dropping the lowest score. Allow 4 pages of notes in midterms and final. Highly recommended.

The class is extremely fast as any other math classes...Just make sure you keep up with the homeworks and try it yourself....I thought I would get an C in it but ended up with an B...Good luck!

I have taken so many teachers at DA & he is the coolest! I was an F student in Math and I have an A in his class. His class seems easy cuz he is extremely clear on the H.W, lab, groupwork, lectures. He is extremely helpful. He posts answers on website. A little bit of weekly HW. Allows 4 pages of notes on test. BEST MATH TEACHER AT DEANZA!!

explains very clearly.. that is the most important thing in a subject like stats.. coz its not direct like any other subjects.. exam is not hard and its open book.. clear explanation is the key though..

geraghty explains very clearly and that makes you understand what the hell is going on in class.. he gave a review paper b4 exam and so u have an overview what to expect on the exam.. exams are easy with open books too!! labs are fun, not difficult. WHAT CAN U EXPECT MORE??

straight-forward teaching style, clear and funny lecture. posts powerpoint slides on his web so u can print it out and use it in class (very helpful). repeat important info. decent hw load. expect 30 min hw time everyday. gives pratice test so STUDY THEM! spend 5-10 hrs if u want an A. if u r only OK in math, TAKE HIM anyways.

Good class. Lecture follows book closely, so you won't get lost if you miss class. Attendance optional, but you want to make it on Fridays to turn in homework. Homework counts towards grade (a good thing) so that you're not under complete pressure to ace every test.

Hehe, I didn't do homework every day and just review the lessons right before every final and I got nearly perfect grade ^_^. His review problems and the power point lecture on his web is extremely helpful. Highly recomanded.

4 pages of notes is more than enough. he gives you reviews that are really similar to the exams. 3 exams and he drops one. the labs are easy. the project is time consuming. the final is multiple choice. ended up with an A- in the class. he's a really good teacher. makes random jokes too. take his class if you have the chance!

Prof Geraghty is awesome. He is really clear on his lessons, he is super helpful and he thouroughly wants to see his students succeed. The 4 pages of test notes are really helpful, especially because of all the formulas needed. Plus, this guy is HILARIOUS.. definately the only professor's class I would take at 7:30 in the morning.

Only checks that your hw is complete, he gets chalk all over his shirt during and is kinda funny for an old actuary. He tests what he teaches and finishes right along with the greensheet while answering a good amount of hw questions. Use the solutions manual to help you with the homework and you have an A.

He is the best. So clear and nice about everything. Quizes and tests are about what he taught, a few conceptual questions here and there, really easy tests. He answers any questions you may have, and gives the right amount of examples. Very knowledgeable and passionate about the subject. Also, he has a great personality. Very recommended!!!

Moe is so funny. He's as clear as anyone can be when it comes to Statistics. You HAVE to do the homework, and you HAVE to study. A lot of people from Algebra think this class is gonna be simple. Big Mistake. Be prepared, this is a COLLEGE lvl math course, which 112 and 114 are not. You have to study and work but you can get a good grade.

I have to say, Statistics is not an easy subject, but with the project that's time consuming, just study for tests, allows notes, he's a bit weird, one of this dorky personalities, but very doable to get an A.Study and do practice tests, they help, esp on the final.

I really like this guy. He knows a lot about Statistics and tries his hardest to make it interesting for his students. He is totally fair with his testing and allows notes and a take home exam. It isn't easy and I just wish i had more time to devote to this class.

One of the best math teachers on campus. Fun, interesting, will answer your questions thoroughly. Very reasonable grader. ONLY teacher who uses Excel with stats so barely any stupid formulas to memorize. One (10-15) problem homework assignment due per week, notes allowed on tests, great teacher who you can come to for help... HIGHLY recommended!

He made statistics way too easy, and it's not supposed to be an easy topic. If you want an easy A, go for it. But i'm telling you...with the way he gives exams, you won't really get the most out of your education. I feel like I could've learned so much more about statistics. Got an A+ and not even proud of it.

wow he's the best math teacher ever.really!! He's very organized and uses group worksheets to lecture in easier way. I was going to drop on first week just b/c the class material seemed challenging but once you are enrolled in his class NEVER think to drop.-becasue he teaches in easy ways and you can also use few pages of notes during the midterms.

You have big group project(10-page paper &presentation but you have about four people in your group)*don't worry!!!! and three midterms& a final. Just attend every class meeting and you will get A or B easily. He's really nice and take care of every students. If you want to take a math class as GE take this class. You will love it!!

This was my first time taking math 212 and I could not be happier with this teacher. He collectes homework and group work and gives you full credit even if some problems are wrong. He also gives a practice test before every exam which is really helpful and allows notes and a calculator during exams too.

Best stats prof ever! I had a D in my transcript for stats from another teacher and with him I ended up with an A! He allows 4 pages of notes and is very clear in his teaching. Professor Mo is a great teacher of the Mathematics department. His class was not an easy one. But, he provides students some group HW that will help you to pull up your grade, if you turn them in. He?s always on-time. I got a B+ in his class, and I worked hard for that.

Easy to follow, open note tests. Group works were hardest part, but you have plenty of time to complete. If you don't miss class, you will get right score. I liked this class because it was very interesting way to see the mathematics. It was interesting to see the mathematics in other way than calculating.

Mo is a very nice stat teacher. He is definitely the easiest you can find at De Anza. Best thing is no textbook required, he gives you his online book for free. Also, homework is graded for credit so there's no right or wrong answer, you will get the same grade as long as you show your effort doing it. I got an A+

Ok guys. Here is the REAL honest review. This teacher is a very funny guy. He gave us cookies. I will say if you show up to the tutoring session it is IMPOSSIBLE to fail this class. I am not very smart and do not put much time after class. I got an A-. Pick a smart group for group work. Do the hw. Ask questions. If i can get an A- anyone can!!

He is a great teacher and his tests are easy if you know what to put in your 4 pages of notes for the midterms. There's a presentation you have to do but it's not so bad. It's a really different kind of math class but interesting nonetheless. This guy also looks like the mentor from Eat, Pray, Love in the India part. Anyways, I highly recommend!

He is a tough grader!

If you're looking for an easy A, you have the wrong professor. Mo is hands down one of the hardest yet, most educated professors I have ever had. I took his Math 10 class in summer so everything was twice as fast. I had to go to the Math tutoring center 4 days a week for 2 hours every day to get A+ in his class. We used a free online textbook.

If you've got the mindset, and want to learn something take him, he's pretty clear and if you do the homework (he doesnt collect it) you will do fine.

Probably the best instructor I had during my two years at De Anza. Geraghty will definitely take the time to help you succeed if you're willing to put in the work. When I was in his class, he provided practice exams that closely mirrored the real test, and allowed open note exams.

Taking his MATH 1B class in Winter. Very straightforward greensheet. 3 tests, 6 quizzes, Worksheets (credit only, free points!!) and 1 final exam. Doesn't collect homework!. Overall, he is very intelligent and nice.

A really solid and pretty easy math teacher whose tests are designed to test your knowledge, not fail you. He gives a lot of partial credit so if you know roughly what you're doing, you'll do well. I've chosen to take three of his calculus classes in a row - that's how much I like them.

Mo is seriously the greatest professor I have ever had in my academic career. I took him a few quarters ago for the Statway program. He is AMAZING! I have never done well with math, but the way Mo teaches makes it easy to understand. He is a great guy who generally cares about his students success in the class! HW once a week, so is the lab, which we did in class. The class can be boring, especially if it is 2hr 30 min long, as the subject is difficult and dry. All the HW helped me as to what methods of statistics to use when. His prep exams and final were extremely useful, and learning from them was the reason why i was able to understand them at all.

Prof Mo is the one to take if you ever struggled with math. He offers all the help a student needs: txtbooks, slides, correctedHW, preparatory tests, everything is on his website. He's also available outside class, and very willing to help. Fair grader, has clear grading criteria, is very knowledgeable and funny; don't miss his class, he's amazing.

Took his Summer class. He's amazing & helpful. Hes a fun, laidback teacher. Hes willing to answer questions or repeat anything just so you understand the material. If you arent good w/ Math but HAVE to take stats in Summer, try to enroll w/ Mr G. If you fail in his class, it's because you didn't try.

He's a great teacher. He's kinda quirky but he's really nice and if you don't get something, go to his office hours !! He makes sure that everything in his class is free and available to you --no textbook (its online for free),no scantrons, no mathlab or anything. I'm glad that I chose to take his class. Mo really knows what he is talking about and really wants you to do good in his class. He will answer questions whenever. It helps if you print out his class notes before class and add on notes from his lectures. Even though Stats isn't the easiest of courses I think his class is your best option. He has such a sweet quirky personality!

Mo is by far the best Stats professor you can have. He takes things slow and is very good at explaining models clearly. His lectures are only an hour long. He goes by his own txtbook but all that stuff is on his website (his textbook &amp; printable notes) love this old man so much :(

Take this professor and be done with stats, took him over the summer quarter and he was awesome. Gives material that will be on test, no notes, homework is test material, so do your homework and the test will be a breeze. An A grade is possible my friends, TAKE THIS PROFESSOR,

Highly recommend to take Prof Mo!Homework isn't due, lab is easy and 4sheets of notes front&amp;back is allowed for every tests!! FOUR!!He wrote his own textbook so we can use for free); Such a cinnamon roll&lt;3 He also drops your lowest test out of 3 tests the entire quarter. Go to class for the papers and lab days. Dont skip lab days!!

Mo is a easy professor. For stats he had 3 tests in total. 3 normal exams, one was considered a final but it only goes over the last couple of chapters. Also drops your lowest test score so you only have to do good on 2 of them. The homework is optional except the syllabus on the first day which is 5 points. Highly Recommend this class for easy A.

If you're anxious with math -- Professor Mo will help you without judgement. I had withdrawn from 3 math classes already at De Anza and finally decided to take a 4 day class with Professor Mo. Totally worth it! The speed at which he teaches his perfect and he explains everything very clearly! MPS program helps a lot!

He was a really nice man and could explain the math easily. No homework + 4 pages of notes for the test... a dream. The only problem is that it moved pretty fast and the labs were so confusing. anyways if you're good at math his class is perfect for you.

Great professor if youre bad at math. He explains it to you in the simplest manner. If you do the homework &amp; group work everyday you'll pass with no problem. He lets you use notes on the exams too! I failed math Classes all my life and this is the first time I got an A in math! So that says a lot!

The best teacher ever

The best professor, super nice and understandable. He gives his own free textbook for us to use. The lecture is very straightforward. If you do well on the first 3 midterms you can skip finals. Highly recommended.

He is a nice, caring, supportive, and understanding professor. Weekly easy discussions, labs, and group works(but you can choose to work on your own). Only 3 exams are required which means if you do well on the first 3, you don't have to take the final!! Take him, you won't regret !

Prof Mo is one of the best professors in de Anza. He is caring and only wants to give the best to his students. His workload is acceptable, two group projects every week (you can do it by yourself if you want to) and you can always email him for questions. Exams are easy. 4 exams and he drop 1 with the lowest score.

Professor Mo is an excellent teacher. He literally wrote the textbook you will learn out of and he gives it to you for free. Complete the assignments on time and you get full credit, tests are straightforward and open book/note. It's an easy A if you attend the zoom lectures as he explains everything in depth and they makes the tests easy.

Easy A, but won't remember the material after the course. 2 group works and 2 labs every week (you can do it alone). A total of 4 exams, drops the lowest exam. Records the lectures and posts them on Canvas. The labs and group works are similar to the homework (not mandatory), so you can always refer to that or email him if you have any questions.

Just attend his classes, do all the homework, and make sure you study for the test and you will get an A. His tests have no time limit so you will have enough time to figure out the answers.

Professor Mo is honestly an amazing teacher. I did not know what to expect when I took his class, but on the first day I took him, he was very nice and caring. His class is pretty easy. His homework is not graded so homework is optional and you can do it to help you for the midterms. There are 4 midterms. I would take him again and recommend him!

Professor Mo's class is group work heavy, but there's also the option to work alone. Just watch his lectures and understanding the material shouldn't be too hard. He also has tutors and an MPS counselor in class to assist with any questions. An easy A if you complete the work plus his tests don't have any time limits.

He is a real treat. Off the bat after hearing why he decided to teach stats, I already knew he would be an understanding person. He has a textbook that he made himself (which was given for free, COVID) which is funny, you actually learn things from his lectures, everything was decently easy, and I will always remember our personal talks. Take him!!

Mo is one of the best at De Anza. I was a little scared to take stats because its math heavy but that was not the case with Mo. He breaks it down so that it's more digestible and more focused on concepts than calculations. He provides tons of resources to be successful in the class. He is for the students. Even made his own stats book.

Professor Mo is amazing most of the work is group work you can do it alone if you choose to though. 4 exams, weekly discussion, weekly lab, weekly group work and a final project presentation. The presentation is very easy you just present a research paper. take Mo you wont regret it. take notes!

Best Stats teacher out there. Gives plenty of resources to succeed in the class. In Our current situation gave us multiple days to complete the test. No surprises on the test either, most things covered in HW and group work. No final but final presentation, which is fairly simple if you follow his instructions and do office hours.

Prof Mo has to be the best teacher I have EVER had. He is clear and concise. You can't fail. Mo really has provided all the tools for success. There are 3 exams, 1 final. 2 labs and 2group work assignments that you can do alone per week. (drops lowest score)Discussions are interesting and engaging. I wish more were like him. Prof Mo is very chill. all lectures are recorded. the only way you are getting points in his class are discussion posts, groupwork and exams. all exams are take home exams &amp; u have 3-4 days to submit. you'll pass the class if you're lucky to have cooperative people for groupwork. U can also work by yourself, but more studying for u! HES SO NICE :D

Mr. Mo is such a kind proffessor. Bless his soul! All his homework are optional, the best way to succeed is to simply be on time on all his lectures and you're good. There's 4 exams and he'll drop the lowest one, and the final is easy! You got this!

Great prof! He knows what he is talking about and obviously really enjoys what he teaches. As a class, it is a pretty easy A. As long as you do the assignments and study for the tests you'll be fine. There are group assignments but you can do them individually if you want. The tests were all online and you had multiple days to complete them.

really nice guy. 4-5 quizzes, drops your lowest score. 3 weekly assignments, he has his own textbook (free) if you want more practice. the final was a presentation, very easy. please please please take him if you can!! overall a really interesting course and i'd love to take more of his courses in the future

Professor Mo is an awesome teacher. Very helpful and is able to walk you through any problems. Zoom meetings consist of groupwork (1st meeting of the week) and a lab (2nd meeting of the week), and are fairly easy. Weekly discussion are related to the real world which is nice. Overall good teacher and an even better person. Please take this class.

Although I don't love statistics, Professor Mo made this class manageable and kind of fun. He created his own textbook, which is easy to understand and follow. The lectures were long but informative. You definitely have to attend class and do some work to get the A. I would take him again!

All group work and lab work (3GW 1Lab a week) done in class with help from prof & tutors. Prof. is helpful and willing to explain and offer extra help. Lectures are long, can be watched in own time. NO COST CLASS. Prof. has his own textbook for free. No way you can fail this unless you never watch the lectures or read. 3(?) exams, 1 oral final.

Very cool professor to have, if you don't get something dont be afraid to ask. He gives very simple and straightforward explanations that are easy to understand. Attendance is mandatory but his class is an easy pass as long as you pay attention.

Prof Mo is really nice and accessible to students. Grades leniently and tests are open for a couple days and open book. Final is a one-on-one presentation. Group work and discussions make up the rest of your grade. Lectures explain everything you need to know and he wrote his own textbook free for students! He likes what he does and is great at it.
