He is a good professor. He gives you a lot of homework only because it will help you understand the language even more.

Awesome professor by far the most helpful professor I've ever had. Always will go out of his way to help you to do well. Highly recommend him you will need the textbook. I struggled in Spanish 2 and he really helped me understand the course a lot better.

Professor Gonzalez is a good man, who cares a lot about his students. I took Spanish 102, and it was not easy. I'm also not the strongest Spanish student but professor Gonzalez worked with me, and I Managed to get an A in his class. The online homeworks are relatively easy, attendance is a must, tests aren't bad, and the final was easy!

Professor Gonzalez is great at what he does. Learning a new language is never easy, but if you show you care, and do your part, he goes above and beyond to help you achieve the grade you want/need. I have taken many courses in spanish but this is one that I'll definitely won't forget. He loves to see people succeed but they also have to participate and do their work. Wonderful professor! Took him for the 8am class gives students extra time to walk in but it doesn't mean you should. He will call on you for participation but as long as you try he will notice. Gives hws which are very easy and if you're behind just talk with him he will work with you. Exams are easy just study a bit.

Prof. Gonzalez made me regret that I waited so long to take my Spanish credit. He truely knows what he is doing. All HW is online and is strait forward as long as you have the book. 6 test, some quizzes, and an Oral exam at the end of the semester. He lets u pick your partner and the topic for the oral exam and you have a few days to discuss lines.

I thought he was a very good professor and got a lot out of the class. Learning a language takes some effort and was well worth it. He mentioned going for extra help which I did and definitely helped my grade.

Textbook use is essential as Prof. Gonzalez teaches most lessons directly from the book. He is keen on bringing the textbook to class everyday, as in-class activities are routine. He assigns a great amount of h.w. which is great practice and the repetition of the material being learned is important; especially if Spanish is not your first language.

Do not be worried if the language of Spanish is foreign to you. Professor Gonzalez is a remarkable teacher, who not only does a great job teaching the language, but truly helps everyone engage in discussion. The Spanish music in the background is a plus! Definitely made the right choice picking this professor! He does a great job making sure that the students understand all of the material. He is super friendly and easy to talk to if there are any problems. The work load is average, but you end the semester knowing a lot. Wasn't planing on taking 142, but now that he's teaching, I am going to.

Very goos professor. Lots of quizzes, but they're short quizzes, with extra credit on each, and he is not a picky grader. And if you so bad on one, it won't really hurt you. There's online hw every week, but he never closed it so you basically have all semester to do it, but I'm pretty sure there is some sort of late penalty. Highly recommend him.

Professor Gonzalez is wonderful. Since you're learning a new language, you definitely have to work hard and pay attention. You need to buy the textbook because we use it every day in class. I never took Spanish before, and I got above a 90 on most of the tests and quizzes. He made learning fun and easy. I highly recommend Professor Gonzalez.

I had Prof. Gonzalez for Spa141 first and took him again for SPA142. He is one of the best professors in campus and cares for his students. As long as you keep up with homework assignment and study your vocabulary you will sail smoothly! He gives exams very similar to homework assignments. And final exam is noncumulative! Gives extra credit!!

Took him for SPA 141 & 142 & let me tell you hes one of the greatest professors to take at Farmingdale! For someone who was out of school for 6 years , he made Spanish easy and fun! Easy A if you show up, participate and actually try. There are 3 exams including the final and there are a lot of quizzes. If you understand the online homework then youll get 90s on all of your quizzes and tests. Overall this professor is very sweet. I highly recommend you take him, you wont regret it.

Professor Gonzalez is really a great guy, and a fair teacher. Spanish, being a language to learn, requires repetition and practice. That being said, as long as you pay attention in class, do the easy homework he gives, and practice a little bit at home, you will surely pass, and maybe even get an A, which isnt difficult to get at all.

He's a great guy overall. He really wanted his students to do well and succeed. When we would do poorly as a class on a hard topic sometimes he would give us online quizzes so that bad grade wouldn't count for as much. At the end of the semester, I dreaded the speaking for our final exam but when my partner and I did ours he was chill.

Absolutely love this professor. I love learning about language so Im potentially biased. But hes super nice and fun. If you get your work done and you attend class and he sees you work then your golden. I wish my financial aid would let me take his second class lol. Dont listen to the bad reviews unless you have difficulty learning a language

I took 141 with El Profe. Great class, classy professor. Then the shutdown happened! We switched to Bb and Zoom and this prof showed up to every class ready to teach online. He was very understanding and caring, considering this crazy world. PS I am taking his 142 class in the Fall. Professor Gonzalez is teaching one more semester!

I am honestly hopeless when it comes to spanish and I truly believe this is the only professor who could teach me the language where I could actually understand and apply it. Professor Gonzalez was very passionate about teaching his students. He wanted all his students to do well. If you do the work assigned, the tests are easy. Once the pandemic started and we switched to virtual classes, Professor Gonzalez was the only teacher that conducted zoom classes which helped learn the material and prepare us for the tests.
