Max is a very difficult teacher. He uses a group teaching method that stresses group work more than right answers. This might sound like a fun time, but when tests roll around, your group can't help you.
nice guy, horrible teacher aviod at all costs get hogan
Teaches in groups, but gives grades for just being there. Tests have no real right answer, just similar to what we do in class. Pass a test or two and come to every class you will get a B
Piece of cake. Take this class and you will learn a lot. Effort is required but it is rewarded with sucess. Max is very fair with homework and the good new is is that everyone passes the class thanks to Max. This class was too much fun. It was a pleasure taking this class. Enjoy.
Max is a great guy and very knowledgable. Hes dedicated to physics thats for sure. He uses a group method and if you actually work to learn the material the test are no problem. If you don't like doing the work for yourself then don't take his class.
This professor is one of the worst teachers I ever had. He is just horrible! He stresses a stupid group work that doesn't benefit students at all. Plus there is what he thinks and knows against what it is right. DO NOT TAKE HIM!!! Hogan is better!
he has changed since last year, he doesnt give extra credit,he can not talk proper english,he is one of those types you have to listen very carefully because you cant understand his sometimes, he is a very hard teacher. This is one of the worst teachers ever and he is the only physics teacher this semester. Seriously do not take this teacher
Professor Lee is very interested in Physics and very interested in helping students to understand Physics. Physics is a very difficult topic and if you are willing to ask questions and participate then you will succeed.
I don't doubt his intelligence, and he has a great knowledge of physics. However, he has no clue how to teach. When he grades, he looks to where he can mark people down, not give them credit for a good answer. If I spoke Chinese, he might be a great teacher. As it is, he doesn't know English well enough to convey anything of value. Avoid him!!!
Despite what the other comments say, Max Lee is a very good teacher. His accent isn't at all hard to understand and he's very clear about the subject matter. He's also always very pleasant and cheerful and he's always telling jokes. The only people who had trouble in my class were kids who just didn't understand physics anyway.
He's usually very clear about what's going to be on the tests. I don't think his accent is too hard to understand, he speaks good English considering it's not his first language. I don't know if I'd want to take an upper level Physics course with him, but that's mainly because it doesn't come easy to me.
"Max Ree" is a funny guy... Nice... Knowledgeable... Gives tons of extra credit. Has the best worst jokes in the world. Really tries hard, but can't teach well. A LOT of work in his class. But I worked hard, and I got an A. If you are planning to slack don't take him. Be prepared for a HARDCORE ACCENT.
PHYSICS MAJORS, take note! I had Max a few years ago and have taken a degrees worth of university level physics classes since then. If you plan on taking any physics classes in the future, do not take physics with him because it will not help you in higher level classes. He doesn't communicate ideas well.
Max is a nice guy and all, but when it comes to teaching, he's not good at it. Plain and simple, it's not like he's out to fail you or something but if you plan on getting an A, plan on busting your ass, cause 1 or 2 people get an A in the class tops.
Spends too much time telling the class how easy Physics is, but most of the class doesn't agree. I'm glad I took this once before in high school.
Nice guy, but nice won't get you a good grade. Scattered teaching that's hard to follow and an accent that can be difficult to understand at times. Just horrible at explaining things in general. I took physics before and I loved it, but he changed my mind.
Max was an awesome teacher. Physics is just a hard subject. When the class started looking bored he would tell the corniest jokes to wake us all back up again. As long as you can read the book and are decent at math you will do fine. You have to ask 10 questions for 100 points, which was easy for me but not for most. He is also very helpful!
It's difficult for me to rate this teacher. I would say he is less than mediocre. Lee knows his stuff and has lots of jokes. He speaks fluent English, but not well enough to fully explain concepts. Students who don't do homework put too much blame on the teacher when they don't do well. Physics requires effort if concepts are not inherent to you.
impossible to understand physics from someone who can't speak english. period.
Max is a nice guy, but like someone said earlier, nice won't get you an understanding of physics. If you're only taking physics 101 and 102, then max is sufficient, if you need an actual understanding of physics then take Professor Hogan.
He doesn't make sense half the time and he even said a girl in my class wasn't smart enough for physics. No joke. Also, he makes fun of the class in a mean way if we don't understand something. Not exactly an understanding fellow. Wouldn't allow us to use book equations, only "Max Certified" ones, so no outsider was any help
Max Lee is a nice guy and is definitely knowledgeable in Physics, but his teaching style wasn't something that I was used to. You really have to work hard for an A in his class. If you don't enjoy physics beforehand, I would not take him because you will probably end up dropping like a lot of my classmates did.
He is foreign. He can be very unclear at times. He expects a LOT of his students. I spent all of my free time studying and doing huge amounts of homework, confused and miserable. 6 out of the 20 people in my class dropped. the semester before me, 20 out of 25 dropped. His syllabus changes every semester- the class is never the same twice.
He expects A LOT from students. The class is pretty difficult and most students do not do well. He assigns A LOT of homework and does not always adequately prepare you for the exam. I would try to take this class with someone else because, although it is do-able, this class is not easy at all. Expect to spend 3-4 hours for ever class.
Max will have you doing so much frivolous extra work that you will not have the time to thoroughly study the necessary problems.Received a B in another class without the drama. An unclear non native speaking teacher who also does not explain difficult concepts well makes for a course that is extremely hard and this is not due to the actual physics.
THis is the worst physics teacher i have ever had....literally the worst. He doesnt speak clear english and he doesnt use math to explain how things work the way they do. He rambles ALOT and gets way off topic.....it takes him literally 3 days to cover one chapter. can not explain concepts to save his life. Horrible teacher..i would never pick him!
DONT PICK, you will regret!
He does not clarify his concepts and says that it a conceptual class and not math....Physics is math we use formulas all the time .....I took physics in high school and did great learning it from the matghe pint of view....he doesn't speak clear and doesnot clairfy what the concept is ...can someone tell him students would understand if they seen t
He knows a lot about physics, but he is horrible at teaching it to the students. It is a really hard class and you will have to teach yourself the majority of the material.
He does not believe in using all of the equations the book gives you which makes it impossible to figure out the problems and he believes everything he says is right when it is not. Also, he DOES NOT listen to reason!
Great teacher! He is the most dedicated teacher I have ever had and he really works hard for his students. He is hard to understand because of his accent sometimes but other than that. Really great guy!
If you apply yourself you will do just fine. Every quiz problem is done in class beforehand and every test problem is from the homework or the conceptual questions in the book. If you don't want to put in the effort to do your homework, don't take his class. A bunch of people dropped, but they didn't do the homework or study consistently.
Max is a decent teacher, but there is somewhat of a communication problem as he has a heavy accent. Took me about a week before I understood everything he said. Not a problem, since I learn mostly from books & the 100 book is excellent. He was always in his office during office hours. My advice is to look at the 100 & 101 book before deciding.
Impossible to understand and if you don't he thinks your stupid. great lessons learned about life but never learned how to do physics.
You get penalized if you dont ask questions. Which is the dumbest thing Ive ever heard. This leads to people asking stupid questions for points and lecture dragging on. You need to present problems on the board that you are figuring out as you go. You get penalized if you dont present and dont get all the points if you are wrong. He is nice though
Class started with 21 students. Ended with 16 before I dropped with 3 other students I know thinking about dropping. That's... Just an obscene amount. Really, stay away.
Keeps class in late (10+ min.), participation required (explain problems and if not explained to his liking you earn partial credit, also must ask questions) accent is not an issue, tries to simplify problems with using less equations and ends up being more complicated, he makes us do problems first and does not always explain them. Nice, but awful
He is hard to understand... He simplifies things in the way he was taught, but no one else was. Expects us to understand everything before it's gone over. We don't go over much at all actually, he just expects us to know it. And ALWAYS keeps us in the classroom past the time period. He tells you to ask any question but will make you feel stupid.
DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASSES FOR ANY REASON EVER. i was an honors student all through highschool and did very well in physics (i got an A). i understand the material in his class but his tests are too long, he gives too many assignments, and he quizes you on material he hasnt taught you. DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASSES!!! only 4 out of 18 are currently passing.
Mr. Lee is difficult to understand. The language barrier is not the biggest issue but it doesn't make things easier. He has his own way of "simplifying" and explaining things such as calculus and Newton's laws which will only confuse you more. Assignments are vague. Tests are whoppers. This class requires 110% of your mind and concentration.
Hard to understand. He tries to use illustrations that make it even more confusing. I would try to find a different professor.
AWFUL PROFESSOR. Extremely hard to understand and is unclear in what he is looking for in assignments. He tries to show you but doesn't talk through it clearly. Tests are super long and all short answer. Participation is key in this class if you aren't a good test taker to begin with. Hated this class and hated this professor.
Amazing professor to me he was a 10000 times better than Hogan and I had both, always willing to help during office hours also he is always in his office, has a very good heart and is willing to go above and beyond to help students, also his tests are predictable you just have to master the homework and you will do good.
Taking him right now so far so good, goes out of his way to relate to everyday life!
Won't go by the curriculum, inconsistent lessons, focuses on irrelevant info, deducts points for equations he doesn't like, no partial credit, not time efficient, not clear in what he wants, thick accent, scolds you in front of everyone, makes you feel dumb, no makeup work wout a Dr's note, teaches you stuff for the final the day of, 60% an A.
I enjoyed Max Lee's class, he offered help. Lots of group discussions.
Poor teacher. Very hard to understand. Contradicts himself because of language difficulties. Does not go over tests. Average grade about 50%. Plays on youtube during class. Treats students like they are stupid. Why is he still there? No one else teaches this course, unbelievable. We deserve better. Plan on teaching yourself!
Worst class I've ever had. Tough to understand lecture, only points you get for the class are participation, labs and test. Says that if you go over the hw that will be what is on a test which is a complete lie. I get mostly A's and I had a pretty hard time with this class. Would not recommend this class.
The tests are tricky and you are not given enough work in order to feel comfortable enough with the material to succeed with the tests. I did very well on all of the in class and lab material and most everyone failed the tests.
Worst Class I Ever had. You cannot understand what he is saying. He contradicts himself all the time. Do not recommend taking his class. You will pass obviously because of his grading scale but you will be miserable promise you that. It is so boring and dead and i did not learn anything while i was in his class. DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS!!!!
he really is hard teacher but i think he just doesn't know how to teach well. he knows too much and thinks we are on the same level as he is and we arent. he doesn't really explain stuff well and i always has to stay after to ask him what he was looking for on the labs. if you go to class he gives you participation points which really helped
I did take PHYS 201 with Mr. Lee and I did pass his class. This time around he decides to changes the entire way he teaches. Instead of having the student learn how to complete a problem he decides to explain the problem himself and sometimes does not even finish them. Quizes every week that are impossible to predict along with writing long papers.
From reading past reviews, I had the expectation that Lee would be a "bad" professor. Prof. Lee turned out to be a lot better than expected. He has a slight accent but speaks clearly enough and teaches well. Tests aren't too bad as long as you pay attention and practice problems from the textbook. There's a class curve and points for attendance.
I have no doubt that Max Lee knows what he's talking about, however there is no possible way for him to communicate his knowledge to his students as his accent is ridiculously thick. He also has "invented" his own teaching methods which are detrimental to his students progress, he never gives the formulas he is condescending & rude. Do NOT take him
Dr. Lee is not a bad professor and I liked his teaching methods. He has a very generous grading scale so I don't understand those who bash him. If you completely fail all of his tests then how do you expect to get an "A" in his class. More than forty percent of the grade is based on participation, attendance, and homework and a 55 percent was a "C"
Worst class I've ever taken. Only checks the homework for participation, and then expects you to use those answers as a study guide for tests, which he took pride in seeing everyone fail. Sure his grade system is casual but when he hardly follows the book and uses his own rules? I watched him skip half of chapter 8 to make up his own methods!
At times he can be difficult to understand with his accent, but besides that he is very caring for his students & he wants you to learn. He has his own teaching method which works for some people, but others find it non-traditional and difficult to follow. As long as the class makes it fun, it's not too bad. The test is the HW so make sure to try!
He is very sweet and tries to be "hip with the lingo" which is fun, but his lectures are horrible and the tests were pretty difficult. I read every chapter, did the hw 2-3 times and still had an ave. of 80% on the tests. The class ave. on every test was 55%. labs were easy A's, but there weren't many.
Max Lee may have the comprehension of physics and present himself as a person devoted to his students' education, but he is slowly reaching the end of his rope. The combination of teaching at a community college, and an inability to articulate most things have pushed him beyond patience. He puts no effort into adapting material for his students.
Assigns very long physics essays and rips them apart as if he were an English teacher. The average for the final was a 46% and was not curved hurting those who were already at a C in the class
He has no specific grading scale. He gave 3 people in my group 3 different grades when we all did the same thing. His tests are much harder than the HW he assigned. Lastly hes a really nice dude but has a super thick accent that actually extended to his writing. I would avoid if possible but he does have a super good curve
Homework seems like a lot but you have over a week to do it. Several ways to keep your grade up- attendance, hmwk, quizzes, labs, tests. His English is broken but not disruptively. Physics is something YOU have to learn, no teacher can make you understand it. He's patient and happy to help and will answer ANY question at any time!
Forces students to only use his methods and rejects anything else. Grades ridiculously tough, hard to understand, goes on tangents, awful group learning sessions that dont help, doesnt explain the content well enough. Exams are mostly homework problems, but doesnt assign the problms until past the exam fate. AVOID AT ALL COST!!!!
Very knowledgeable teacher, but getting to the end of his career. Struggles with technology, forgetful, and struggles to hear students. Grading scale is different so it is easier to pass his class, attendance is mandatory every week and for the entire class (if you leave early you will be marked), and no late work accepted. Use book/internet!
Does not explain material at all, make you do it his way not the correct way. Does not offer extra credit or help. Hand writing is terrible. Tryst to be funny in class but is very insulting doesn't care if you pass or fail. His syllabus said grades matter that's a lie he doesn't care at all avoid his class at all cost dont ever take him
Don't take his class at all. He is very rude and disrespectful. I asked him for help and he ignored my request. explains the material in a way only he understands. questions in the test had nothing to do with what we learned. When i asked for a study guide he said just to look at my notes, in other words he did not provide study guides.
He wont help you at all. Don't bother taking his class. Only take his class if you want to fail. I will never take him again, very disrespectful, lecture heavy, and doesn't care if you pass or fail.
When he grades, he looks to where he can mark people down, not give them credit for a good answer. marked me down on a question that he literally told us to put down. DON'T TAKE THIS CLASS UNLESS YOU WANT TO FAIL.
Do not take this class, the professor is a nightmare.
Mumbles at the front of the room and then says am i right. Has absolutely no respect for his students and blatantly told me I was bad at math. Avoid this man at all costs. Ive had many many college professors as I already have a degree and he has by far been the WORST. Marks points off for anything and everything. Doesnt follow his own syllabus
He's a very nice man, however, he has a thick accent which can make understanding lectures hard. Halfway through the semester, I gave up on listening to his lectures and instead would read the book chapter by chapter and teach my self basically. He's nice, but I wouldn't recommend him.
Honestly one of the worst teachers I have had. Worksheets are confusing and hard to read, cant understand anything he say. He is so disorganized, and goes by his own rules. Do not take him if you have a class after his he goes over class time every single day I was late many times to my next class.
Does not give any feed back on labs and where you missed points. He will literally take .2 of a point of just for nothing. Hard to understand and is very very very disorganized. DOES NOT ask the class any real questions during lecture, all the answers to his questions are yes that we agree. Sadly he's the only 100 level physics professor JJC has.
Absolutely the worst professor I've had in my entire college experience. Doesn't help students when they're struggling, only tells them that they are wrong. Puts content on tests that he never actually taught and expects you to teach yourself throughout the class. He's a terrible person and teacher. DO NOT TAKE HIM IF YOU WANT TO PASS THE CLASS!
Dr. Lee really makes you work for the grade. His grading scale at first is slightly skewed, taking off points, but if you stick through his class, his grading scale becomes more lenient towards the end. Labs are tricky, but doable with others. Best way to prep for tests? Do A LOT of problems from the textbook. Most test questions come from there.
if i didn't take physics in high school i probably would've been lost in this class, he often gets stuck on small subjects overexplaining and making it more complicated. the online labs were difficult to understand what to do and what you get wrong. they really didn't help learn info he cares about the class but its hard to understand him sometimes
DO NOT take his class! He will make you go insane. I have nothing against a heavy accent, but it interferes with his teaching. His lectures are all over the place and make no sense. If you need help, he cannot provide that for you. You're basically on your own. I could not believe he was the only teacher at JJC who taught physics 100.
Very unorganized lectures, he is willing to help if you ask for it. It is kind of hard to understand him, but you get used to it (accent). The only thing I absolutely hated is that when he did do lectures he never showed us how to do it. He just told us to post the answer in the discussion. It was irritating because physics in confusing already.
His heavy accent made it hard to understand him sometimes during the lecture videos. He was all over the place during the lecture videos too. Some topics he didn't spend enough time on. Overall, this class is the reason I didn't do very well in my other 3 classes. I DO NOT recommend having him as a professor.
Very not helpful. Tests are thrown at you with little to no preparation. Believes all people learn the same way and is set in his ways. Is very snippy with students when they are confused and gives very little helpful feedback. If you have choice I say go with someone else if not good luck (use the textbook its your only resource)
His accent makes it hard to understand and he skips through sone parts of the lectures. Doesnt make sure the students are done writing notes down before moving on. He goes fast and grades hard but doesnt really give you information to improve your answers. The text book is easier to understand than sitting in his class.
He is genuinely the worst professor ever had. He gaslights the entire class, really tough grader, gives the wrong homework and then blames the class for HIS mistake and STILL gives us zeros. My final grade was a 59.95. Absolutely HORRIBLE grader. Avoid this guy like the plague. Save your money. Look somewhere else. This dude is corny.
Tough but fair. I learned a lot and it only helped me down the road at NIU. If you listen, follow, and ask for help, you will be fine. If you just complain and do nothing about it, you will fail.
Professor Lee was not too bad of a professor. He does assign a good amount of homework and the lectures were just all from the book. The exams and quizzes were pretty difficult but as long as you do the homework, you have a better chance at doing somewhat well in the class. I wouldn't expect most who to take this class to get anything above a B-
I only have 350 characters here, but even 100K+ characters wouldn't be enough to describe how terrifyingly horrendous this course was. Max is the worst teacher I've ever had the displeasure of learning under and I'm convinced he doesn't understand the material that he's supposed to be teaching. Do yourself a favor and drop the class, please.
Professor Lee is extremely difficult to understand due to his accent. He mumbles a lot and goes on rants about things that don't apply to the course. There is a lot of homework in this class and a good amount of it is busy work. Do not take his classes, you are better off buying the book and teaching yourself.
As someone who is now wrapping up first year of medical school I can assure you that professor Lee has the best intentions and is someone who will sit with you outside of class to teach you individually. He was my role model and mentor and seeing some of these comment I can't but feel sad for the complacency some people have.
I did not understand very difficult
Very difficult to understand. Not very detailed oriented with homework or tests. Does not give good feedback even if he helps you. Gets upset when you do not understand his explanations. His lecture is very long and his notes are sloppy.
It was a mistake to not listen to the other ratings listed. I read the reviews before I took the class and decided to take it anyways to see for myself, and they were all word for word true. I went to his higher up to complain and that guy did not care either nor did anything about it, and assumed I was doing something wrong. I cannot make this up.
Could not understand a word he said or any of his notes he wrote down. His explanations were awful and hard to understand. Homework was easy with help from online, but he will take .1 of a point away for literally anything, especially if your answer was not spot on to his. Do yourself the favor and please don't take the class.
DONT TAKE HIM. He once told the class he likes being a professor because "he still gets paid the same whether his students pass or fail"..Hard to understand, doesn't help w/ questions, picky grader, tests are completely random w/ no study guides, he doesn't seem to even care about his students. Please if you can, chose someone else for physics.
Don't take his class! If you have picked him, drop out asap. He is so hard to understand and he mumbles half of his words. The quizzes are worth about 10 points and are only two or three questions that are worth 15% of your grade. He doesn't give the homework answers that will be on the test so we don't actually know the right answers.
Few things to note (Not hating against Professor Lee): -The class feels very disorganized, group projects and quizzes come before the pertaining material is presented. -He mumbles, and a language barrier makes him quite difficult to understand. -I have gotten yelled at after asking him for clarification on his material. -Must teach yourself w/ book
I read the past reviews and it was a mistake to take his class anyway. I struggled to get a C in the class and I am a A/B student. No matter how much you study or read the textbook the test questions make no sense. The class average on most tests was a 50 percent.
Hard to understand, rants, syllabus says one thing but he says another. Covers a topic for 10 minutes at the end kf class, then it is ln the test the very next day. He doesn't care if you pass or fail. He doesn't care about you. Get a professor that cares about their subject
He doesn't care if you remember or not, he doesn't care at all if you fail. He says too bad if you don't understand the topic he only spent 10 minutes on at the end of class. He goes off topic, repeats himself, is very hard to understand, and doesn't explain clearly what we are doing.
Very disrespectful and unclear in his instruction (not because of accent). Half of my class dropped out and overall would not take this course here if I knew better or got my money back.
Class was extremely difficult.... Does not offer any extra credit or curves to any test grades so you better study hard. Homework and quizzes every day. He doesn't care if you fail, doesn't care if you understand the topics. You MUST participate or your grade will drop heavy. He requires you to participate 75 times in the matter of a semester.
I'll start by saying don't waste your money or time on his class if you can help it. He seems like as a person he means well and try's to do right by his students, he's just an awful teacher by all metrics, grading is hard because tests are basically your grade and the tests are downright unfair (average for all tests in my class were in the 60's)
Struggled to grasp the material due to the professor's unclear explanations and language barrier. Attending lectures felt like self-teaching with the textbook. unstuck study helped fill the gaps for exam prep.
Before taking Physics 101, I had previously taken Calc-Based Physics (201) and received a 75% at Lewis University and wanted to retake physics to get a better grade and was recommended to take 101, which was the course below 201 (easier course). Very hard to work with the professor and not very understanding when asking for help would not recommend
Probably one of the worst teachers I have had. Mumbles while giving lectures and is super difficult to understand. If you mess something up on a lab he will treat you like garbage and call you out in front of everyone in the class.... My class size went from 24 students down to 8 by the end of the semester.. Keep that in mind.
I have a good grade in this class, but that is only because I put more time into this class than all of my other classes combined. The only upside of the tests are that most of the problems come directly, or with small changes, from the textbook, the downside is about half of the points are from conceptual questions that he barely went over.
Terrible not good teacher, contradicted himself at times
would not recommend very hard to understand due to language barrier and when trying to ask questions would make you feel dumb and completely say everything but answer your question
Never answered questions via email, you must participate or grade will go down. Mumbles a lot during lectures, will skip equations and never teach them unless you ask. Takes insignificant points off homework if answers aren't exactly the same as his. It's hard to study for tests if you're not reading the entire textbook on your own outside of class
the guy seems nice as a person but is awful at teaching. You must participate or else you get points taken off. The thick accent and constant mumbling makes him extremely difficult to comprehend. You're going to be teaching yourself if you take this class. Points also taken off if you miss class. During labs his instructions were also very unclear
I do not recommend Professor Lee for any physics class. My biggest issue with his class is the exams. Even when studying extensively, many students would still perform poorly on exams because the questions were based on conceptual topics that few students knew the answers to. Even if you're an A student, definitly avoid taking Lee.
DO NOT TAKE. Listen to the other reviews please, he has such a thick accent and barely teaches. He makes random groups at the beginning of class and picks on people to do the example problem but will almost never go over it himself. And when he does go over problems he mumbles and writes super sloppy on the board so you can barely see it.
Just awful, do NOT take. I have a 3.9 GPA and somehow so far I have failed every quiz and test so far for this class. He cannot teach and does not teach, the exam questions are absolutely nothing like the quiz questions or the examples we would go over in class. For the sake of your mental health, DO NOT TAKE
Just DO NOT take him I beg of you. He is a very nice man, trust me. However, class actually made me go insane. I have to take physics 101 to transfer to a 4-year. I am contemplating taking it over at Moraine Valley instead bc Lee seems to be the only physics professor available. Exams are so far off from lecture. Lecture is hard to understand. Booo
Nothing I would not recommend him at all
DO NOT TAKE FOR THE SAKE OF YOUR MENTAL HEALTH DO NOT TAKE
Just awful. He said in class and I quote, "I do the easiest problem and then I give you the hardest problems." And then he laughed. Listen to the other reviews please, he doesn't care about his students at all, just do NOT take him.
I don't doubt Dr. Lee was amazing 25 years ago. Unfortunately, aging is enviable. He's unorganized and will just spew out his lecture notes. If you have a question, you are a lesser being. "It is common sense," was a quote he said often. My classes averages were anywhere from 60 to 50 percent. You will not get a good understanding of this material.
Do yourself a favor and DO NOT take this class. He truly does not care about his students. He tries so hard to find mistakes in any assignment and not give you whole credit. Exams are hard af, class averages was always 40%. His lectures are out of place, very unorganized. Quizzes every week, two chapters of the textbook to read every week plus hw.
If you dont constantly stay ahead you'll fall behind fast. The class is mostly self-taught. you really have to teach yourself the material outside of lecture. A lot of students in my class complained instead of asking questions so it wasn't really his fault. Participation matters. If you engage, your grade can go up a few points easily.
Just horrible. Don't take him please for the sake of your health, if he's your only option for a physics class just wait a semester to take it. It is not worth your mental health.
His class was pretty hard but as long as you pay attention and study the material you will do just fine. Make sure to participate in class because it is easy points. I mostly took notes off of his powerpoints and studied those and the quizzes are based off of that.
As long as you participate, show up to class, and pay attention you will be fine. I mostly took notes in class and studied off exactly what he talked about. His quizzes are exactly like the homework so I would make sure to study those questions repeatedly. He grades attendance and participation which are easy points to cushion your grade.
