This was my 6th year of college (prior BA) and this was by far the easiest class I've ever taken. I did the online class over the intersession. It was 3-4 weeks of talking about cool topics and giving your opinion. I think we wrote 2 2-page papers and had a bunch of discussion boards. Very easy, recommended if you want an easy shot at an A.

This class was super easy and a lot of fun. He was big on classroom discussions. Tests were easy and we wrote a couple papers. I would definitely reccomended taking Probst.

Max is an awesome guy. He makes you think and look from a completely different view. Womens Studies was not what i thought it was going to be. Its more of a sociology class. You learn a lot about society as well as yourself. Be perpared though, there is a lot of course work.

He's a great professor. I had two sociology classes with him. It is easy if you try to participate at all, but you still learn a great deal. He will make you look at things from a new perspective is possible. There is a lot of discussion. The tests are clear, and he prepares you for them.

Intro to Sociology w/ Probst was something I looked forward to. The class atmosphere of the class was fun and laid back. I learned a lot, but you do have to work for your grade. I wouldn't take this class if you're trying to "breeze" through, only if you actually want to learn. Awesome professor.

I had no interest in the class prior to taking it, but it was a required course. Prof Probst made the soc approachable and fun. The class was easy, but you were still learning, the biggest thing is to keep up with the work. There is a research paper at the end, but he is an easy grader.

Max is a great professor! Gives one quiz and one paper a week. Mid-term and final are given. &-10 page research paper on anything you want. And a presentation is due throughout the semester but he will help you with any questions TAKE HIM!!!!!!

I took his contemporary problems of society class and I absolutely loved it!He is REALLY down to earth and holds a great conversation. The class is easy as long as you do the readings and the weekly discussions.He gives a review for the midterm and final and the questions are the same.The final project is a lot of work but it is also fun.A+ teacher

Online course mostly discussion and quizzies that are not too hard but he does not give you alot of time to take them you get 20 minutes to answer 15 questions so you really need to know your stuff and answer quickly

Took his class online over the summer and got an A. There was a lot of reading but the assignments were very clearly explained. Quizes were not too difficult. Loved the class, funny guy, prompt with returning emails, etc. If you read and participate in discussions, you will do fine in the class.

I have him for my intro to soc class online and I love him. Awesome teacher, his personality shows through the computer, if I was in the Newtown area I would absolutely take one of his face to face classes. He gives awesome feedback and will do anything to help you. If you keep up with the work you will be perfectly fine. DEFFINITLY recommend!!!!

Max is a hands on professor. I thought sociology was going to be a very boring class. He made it so fun, and so much more interesting. The time in the classroom was full of great talks movies, lectures, and fun little team projects. You cant go wrong

Max, lays out the work in a way that makes you think! He is very hands on, even online! You will work for your grade but you will also learn a lot and enjoy it!

An amazing teacher, if I could take again I would, I had no interest in this class until I started taking it then I couldn't stop asking questions. He grades really well and is willing to help you if you need it. he bends over backwards to help you, slackers weren't taking the online quizzes so he kept pushing the due date to help keep them afloat

I felt like he was good. He was willing to help you whenever you needed it. If you wanted to talk privately about something he was willing to meet you in his office. The Quizzes were hard but if you read the chapters you were set. The test were even harder. The thing that I didn't like was the research paper. There was no prereq so that was hard.

Prof. Probst clearly lays out the course requirements and provides GREAT study guides. There's a weekly reading (textbook is good), then lecture and open discussion in class. Prof. Probst is genuinely caring, knowledgeable, and his in-person class was very enjoyable. You'll have the opportunity to learn and do well.

Teacher was very helpful with learning the material, as this was one of my first classes back to college. The chapters are long but its an interesting course if you stick with it. Probst is very fair with grading and I recommend many people to take his class.

Professor Probst is great; interesting class with fun activities and debates. Almost everything is easy, including tests. He challenges the way you think of everything yet leaves room for everyone's difference of opinion. Though I have to admit, he's a tad sensitive on certain topics so tread carefully.

I took Max's winter session online soc class and it was the best. He is super positive and easy to email. I love positive teachers that don't mind taking the time to explain and he did. He was pretty funny as well. Easy A if you do the work.

The textbook's good for studying but you don't really need it otherwise, still good to have though. All quizzes are online and easy, one for each chapter covered, 10 questions each. The only tests are midterm and final, 50 questions each and are multiple choice or true/false. Probst is a great teacher, cover well so you really learn and is funny.

This class was enjoyable. The subject matter was interesting, and the professor presented a lot of insightful ideas. My only qualm with this class was that all of the assignments were due on Saturday at midnight. Many online classes give you until Sunday at midnight, so if you work a conventional M-F job, make sure to fit allocate time for this.

I actually legitimately liked going to class the mornings I had class with Max. He's super funny and really gets everyone involved. Quizzes are all online and only 10 questions. However, the midterm and final do require your time and effort to study. Other than that, this class is very laid back and he made it fun to learn.

Loved his class. He is very helpful and gets everyone involved. There's a quiz online for each Chapter but your quiz grades aren't important. You get two tries for each quiz and he picks the better grade. You will need to study for the midterm and final. There's also a project, but it isn't bad at all. He's a very easy grader.

I took his class online, it was fairly easy to complete. Only 1-2 projects, a quiz on every chapter, and minimial homework. When I reached out to him about not understanding a chapter, he got back to me fast and helped me out!

Max is literally one of my favorite teachers ever. He reminds me of Jack Black in School of Rock. Funny, creative, and passionate. I learned a lot in this class and the assignments really get you to think about the material you're learning. He a fair grader so put in the effort and you will do well. Very easy to talk to. Prof. Probst was a great teacher! I took him over zoom and felt that I wasn't missing out anything. We only met once a week yet still had great lectures. Midterm and final are weighted heavy and are pretty challenging but not too hard. Participation is key in this class. Overall was super interesting and great teacher. I would def take again.

Professor Probst is one of the best teachers I have ever had. The class is so laid back and the content we learn is actually enjoyable. There is a minimal amount of work so the homework for the class is super light! He does a very good job about relating to his students and is a very nice person.

Max is one of the greatest professors I've had. He truly cares about his students, our class was like a family. He gave me a book he owned bc he thought I would like it, and would email us about different authors/readings. He is very understanding, just communicate! If you're honors, don't let the research paper sneak up on you and ask for help!

I love the class work that takes place in his sociology classes. The material seemed a bit repetitive at times but the discussions always brought new perspectives to the table which made the class really enjoyable. Even if you don't raise your hand though, you will get called on, so listen.

He will occasionally call on students who have been quiet, but it's not done in a "gotcha" way. He's very laid back and understanding. The textbook and the book for the class are both free. Tests are easy and he's not a tough grader.

The research paper fully snuck up on me, just do it and save yourself the stress the week of. Exams have study reviews. Sometimes questions are textbook-specific, so you should look through it, but you can get away with it

He is very engaging and i always looked forward to attending his class. The textbook is online and easy to sift through. The quizzes are pretty easy given you listen in class & read over the material in the book. Study guides are provided for tests. He's accessible and very kind & funny. Workload isn't bad at all. Overall, he's a great teacher.

His class is overall really easy, just a short quiz every other week, book to read + essay, research paper, and then like 3 tests. The tests were the hardest part for me as an overthinker, q's are mostly scenario based ones.
