Geology GSS109RI was a very helpful in my aquiring knowledge about our Earth's processes. I like the course structure and enjoyed the visual information (picture show) offered to us. I enjoyed very much mid-term project and learnt a lot from completing it. I also liked that our class went to the American Museum of Natural History.

I don't ordinarily comment, unless the professor is really bad, or really good. In this case it's the latter. His clarity on required material is absolutely unparalleled. He is very fair, and easy going. He took a class that I thought would be painfully boring, and made it the most interesting class I've taken to date. He is phenomenal overall.

I am delighted to comment and recommend this professor because he makes the students develop the love and appreciation that we all should have for our world. This class its not an easy subject but he breaks it down in a way that you will understand it I am telling you from my personal experience since I am a teacher as well not as good as him.

I always used to think Earth Science was a boring subject but not anymore. Professor Schuster was not only was able to explain the topics in a way that you can not only understand, but is interesting and sometimes even funny. A great professor that knows his stuff. This is my 3rd semester at Touro and he's probably the best professor to come my way. I tried searching for other courses he might be teaching so I could take him next semester, but he only teaches geology. Go to class, take notes, and you'll pass. He reviews all the material before an exam. TAKE HIM!

I'm one to hate geology and not very good at it but I have never came across a professor who loved his job and explained everything in details and showed us pictures and most importantly is always there for his students. His tests are never off topic, they are exactly what you have learned. I recommend him !

Professor Scheuster is one of the most amazing professors I have ever met. He is very clear on what is expected of the class, he compares geological terms with real life situations as a means of clarifying things when you don't understand something, and is overall hilarious. Very easy to take if you need a geology course and HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

This was a fantastic class! Not difficult, yet still fair and enjoyable. If you are present, the classes are crystal clear and there were no quizzes or weekly hw to fall behind in. Classes were given in a fun and exciting, interesting way and Prof Schuster is very extremely knowledgeable. There was only a midterm and final with great study guides.

I would also like to take a moment to let you know that I enjoyed your class. This was the first class that I've ever taken and wasn't afraid to participate. Even if the answer I gave was wrong, I didn't go into my shell and hide. The questions on the smart board and breaking the class into teams were fun. That motivated me to participate.

Best professor! For midterm(multiple choice) & final (short answer) he gave all the questions the week before so everyone knew what exactly to study for. If you mess up the final (I don't know how you can mess up when he gave you questions), you can do an oral exam and get your A. Also PP presentation required. Great, educational lectures.

Professor Max Schuster is an amazing professor, and a wonderful person. He is extremely knowledgeable, and his geology lectures are so interesting that I felt like I was actually out there in nature, and in the middle of what he was teaching at the time. For example, when he spoke about volcanoes and the Grand Canyon, I felt like I was there!

No homework however a presentation from a large list of geological topics is expected. Also, good attendance, punctuality, and participation are a plus. Prof. Schuster covers a lot of content during the course however his delivery is far from boring. I learned a lot from this course and I would take another class with him.

He was a great professor. Extremely fair grader and always outlines the expectations. Before each exam he sits down with the class and gives you the test questions and then after the final you have the opportunity to go over your test and gain some points back. There are no papers in this class, just the midterm, final and a project. Def Recomend

Professor Schuster is very knowledgeable and passionate about what he teaches. He assigns no homework, requires only one presentation (20-30 minutes long), a midterm and a final. His lectures are loooooong, but you must take notes in his class. Most of what he teaches will be on the exams. Participation does not matter, but attendance does.

I liked Professor Schuster's class; the professor is kind and goes out of his way to help. I hated that the entire class grade was based on an in-person midterm and final which I did not do well on. The science department severely messed up when they did not inform the students before the semester that this class would have an in-person aspect.
