can get confusing, not very personable. But she knows what she's doing
she is one of the worst profs ive ever had!!! horrible!!!
She has a twin, why did they make 2 of them? God help U if U take her!
I didnt do well in her class, but she does know her material and gives extra credit.
Wow, she scares me......
shes a chairman for the dept. Notes are very unclear and messy. You must take it upon yourself to make sense of it all. She doesnt lecture well either. not lienent with extra credit on tests.

Ruined my GPA
She knows what she teaches but her tests are horrible and come directly from the notes, so if you don't go to class you may have problems.
ruined my GPA big time
i found her opinionated and too biased for a general survey of philosophy. not very personable, tests come right from notes. So attendance of her dry lectures is a must.Optional term paper to help grade tho. not the greatest intro to the field of philo.
Some of the material is hard, but she explains well. Tests are exactly from the notes, so memorize them and you'll do well. She also gives EASY extra credit assignments
Tests are 70 questions long but are straight from the book. Takes attendance seriously.
SHE SUCKS!!! very unclear abotu everything
she is easy if you can take good notes and then memorize them before the test. you dont have to buy books for her class because she summarizes everything that she assigns to read.
this teacher is bad very bad
webber is a great prof with tons of experience but i hope everyone reads this bc i want to say CPS rules. The professors in this college dont have their nose up in the air like the rest (hint tcb) and take time out to help students.CPS CPS CPS
Webber has helped me out a lot.People only get bored bc its phil. even if j-lo taught it, it wuold be boring. Webbers a great prof and person though.
shes tough but she knows her stuff. the subject itself is boring but shes a nice professor.
webber is a wonderful person. I dont think many students find Phil. to be fun, so thats why some students just dont like this subject but shes a good professor and person.
Expects alot of her students.
Don't be confused, she says 'you know' all in one and it sounds like 'yo'. She doesn't ever erase the chalkboard and writes all over the place. Her exams are tricky and vague. You'll need tutoring, and a miracle! Good luck
SHe's The wicked Witch of Philosophy, Plus she turns Green!
She takes attendance and cheating very seriously. Do not dare copy your paper from the internet. She will long on and find all the info you got from there. Eventhough the paper is optional and no HW for class, she is a very sloppy teacher.
Shes a pretty tough teacher. Takes ethics VERY SERIOUSLY. Guess thats why she teaches it. But, shes not that bad tho. Tests are decent, but confusing. I dont like the idea of a presentation though.
she is mad tough n strict. notes r barely readable. stay away from dis teacher unless phil is 4 u. tests r crazy. dont do it .
One of the best professors I ever had. I graduated a year ago, and will be able to apply what I learned in med school and beyond. She teaches at a real university level and does not spoons feed you but expects you to learn!
DO NOT TAKE HER!!!!!!!, NOTES ARE EVERYWHERE AND SHE IS UNCLEAR WITH THE SUBJECT. DONT GET ME WRONG SHES A NICE EDUCATED PERSON, BUT ITS TO MUCH FOR ANY PERSON TO TAKE IN..
Someone please get her an eraser ..
This is one of the worst professors ever at SJU. She is mean and her class is very hard and boring. Do not take her class! Papers are hard and plain and simple.......avoid webber!!!!
she is a very good teacher..she is messy but overall she was very helpfull.she is very nice a little weird but a sweet heart ..she gave me a B+ in her class..all u gotta do is stop being lazy and pay attention and you'll do fine..
Professor made no sense whatsoever. Believed everyone already knew Philo when you start the class. Very messy and really boring.
Ok I will be honest. I had Dr. Webber and yes shes not easy BUT isnt that what college is about? Challenge. Kids, not every prof. is an easy A. Shes a sweetheart and extremely smart...so go to class and put in some effort.
Very contradictory. Seems to want to show that she has a doctorate in philo. She goes off on weird tangents and has you wondering what the hell any of it has to do with ethics. If you don't study EXACTLY what she said in class (TAKE YOUR OWN NOTES!!) then you most likely will get a low test grade.
her notes are ridiculous, she,s all over hte place. reading hepls alittle. she does not affirm what you have read. if you donot prefer a pro who talks about how great they are DO NOT take her class.
May come off badly in beginning but if you stay past the first couple classes you see that she means well. May be confused at start, but it gets better. You do need to study, but material is not too difficult if you read handouts and note material. Good person, just may be misunderstood.
She goes over the material several times, gives good notes, and is extremely helpful. She'll always respond to emails and answer any questions. Philosophy is a bit difficult but if you listen to her and write good notes, you can and will get an A
I was not at all intersted in this class, and she put several people to sleep!
IF you're in class and take the notes you'll be fine. She give her test right out of the notes and the test are not that hard. Participate she loves that, talk to her because she'll remember you. homework rare. Extra credit always .
She is very interested in the subject but her notes can be hard to follow. If you study its not that difficult to do well in her class. She tends to like to talk about herself a lot.
Webb's class has lectures that relate to the book. The book just merely her lectures. She writes haphazardly on the board which can get messy and confusing. Her test format is something I've never seen before. It is a lenghty essay with T/F sentances which u must determine and 2 essays. She is nice to her students and never makes you feel stupid th
shes nice if you get on her good side, lectures are boring...class is boring but be prepared to do some work and a presentation....overall shes a nice lady..shes not as bad as some people say but if you really hate philosophy then you might wanna take someone else.
She is really boring and not helpful at all.... Do not take her if you are trying to boost your GPA.. because she finds satisfaction in giving bad grades... extremely hard test are impossible and is actually a very mean person
i thought this class was easy..everyone always complained but if u come to class and study the notes theres no reason why you can't get an A...i think shes nice and also pretty helpful =0)
She is very, very messy with her notes, and it can be very hard to follow because most of the test is based on it. She collects 2 hw assignments and 2 refelection papers. Its hard to follow her because she talks a lot and you will won't to doze off a couple of times.
This was a very hard class...she is very confusing and her notes are all over the place. Her handwriting is impossible to read, and her tests have nothing to do with the notes. Doesnt stop talking for two hours straight. Pick another philosophy teacher..
This was a very hard class...she is very confusing and her notes are all over the place. Her handwriting is impossible to read, and her tests have nothing to do with the notes. Doesnt stop talking for two hours straight. Pick another philosophy teacher..
Try to follow her notes if you can. Shes really boring and her test are pretty difficul, if u can't follow her notes. She is hard grader, so if you can avoid her you should if not try to stay awake and follow her notes.
She's a great professor. She has very high expectations for her students and hence she teaches at a genuine college level. Hes tests are not so hard (just a bit confusing) and she's very helpful. But, if have no interest in philosophy or if you're looking for an easy A, you might wanna look for someone else because you do have to study a bit
She is a horrible teacher. She gets pleasure giving out bad grades. You can come everyday and participate and she still doesn't work with you. Her exams are hard and she should really stop teaching.
Okay, I dont know why people have all these negative comments. I hate philosophy but she was the best philosophy teacher ive had at St. Johns. Shes actually really nice and helpfull and funny. I was scared to take her after reading all these comments but now that I've had her, I dont see what was so bad about her. Take her.
her class isnt hard its just really dumb.she's the most boring professor i've ever had terrible talker. do not take her
I loooove her!! Idc what anyone says she is a great teacher, tries to make sure everyone understand everything. If you fail you didn't try at all. That's It. Plain and simple.
as long as u pay attnetion and take notes, so easy. shes so clear and good at explaining things. good teaching style. scary at first but shes really nice and always gives such easy extra credit assignments. gave me an awesome background for metaphysics. make sure u have a numbre two pencil for her "pop" quizzes otherwise ur gona b really scared
I don't know why people are giving her bad reviews! I hate Philosophy but her class is fun. If you take notes and study her handouts, you'll do great on the exams. Once you get to know her, you'll see how great a person she is. Homework just consists of reading assignments she gives from the book (buy it!). She's a pretty good professor.
she has been called out several times for not knowing philosophy and then tells us its extra credit if anyone figures it out. she likes to think shes a doctor, but she really isnt. never really told us what to study for a test. unclear and not much of a help
Her class isn't fun especially not in 7:30 in the morning but she makes a really good effort to teach and shes not hard all you gotta do is study. Her stuff is actually interesting
Dr. Webber is wonderful and caring ! trust me she made ethics fun this semester and cracks a joke almost every class. If you participate and take notes this class is a PIECE OF CAKE !! I sooooo Love her !! <3
She's definitely not the worst, but just don't take her if you don't have to. Her stupid quizzes on the readings are more difficult than necessary. Piles up the work towards the end of the semester. Better to just avoid.
very helpful. great professor
extremely nice lady but her class was awful. had it at 9:05 could hardly ever stay awake. she covers the same material for too long and her explanations aren't clear or interesting. this was my first philosophy course and this class made me have no interest in it. she'll try to help you get a good grade but her class overall was frustrating
DON'T TAKE THIS COURSE, PROFESSOR IS ABSOLUTELY USELESS, WILL RUIN YOUR GPA FOR SURE. HAS FAVORITES, & IS NOT CLEAR. BRINGS CANDY ON HALLOWEEN.
Very unclear, all over the place. No direction in her lectures and could not explain anything.
Love Prof. Webber. She's amazing Don't listen to the bad reviews. Unless you're a lazy student who puts no effort, there is no way you can get less than a B. Her notes are the test so copy EVERYTHING she writes. She provides many extra credit opportunities. If you have a question, she tries her best to explain until you understand the subject.
Professor Webber was awesome! Don't listen to the bad reviews, she's gives very detailed notes although messy and will go out of her way to make sure you understand. She provides many extra credit opportunities , and there is only one paper. The tests are really easy once you payed attention in class and took good notes. Take if you have the chance
This class was a breeze. TAKE NOTES!! her notes are all you need for the test. she will quiz you on the assigned readings so make sure you pay attention to every little detail. other than that she is a great professor.
Don't listen to the bad reviews. She's great. She gives you all the notes you need to study for exams. There's only one book you need you buy for the class & the readings are all from there & manageable. Has a clear grading criteria but you MUST go to class. If you do bad its all on you because she literally gives you what you need to get an A.
really liked her. super lecture heavy so make sure you take notes. 3 tests, 1 paper and a final. come to class bc her notes will save you for tests. she made funny comments and gave out a lot of extra credit. if she likes u, will def bump up ur grade. need to buy one textbook which she assigns readings from. 6 , 10 ? mc reading quizes
Took this class at 7:30 and it was so hard to stay awake. She is very boring but she does give clear notes and makes sure you understand. Class is mandatory and you do need the textbook. She gives quizzes every class pretty much so that was annoying. If you are going to take her class, don't take it at 7:30 because you will fall asleep.
Professor Webber teaches like students already assume everything, so she flew past material that happens to be very complex, difficult, and confusing. Her notes on the board are all over the place, incredibly unorganized, and not to mention so small and sloppy The tests consisted of questions I wouldn't expect to be tested on. Tests: 70 Q's + essay
took this class at 7:30 in the morning and could barely stay awake it would get so boring. definitely take a lot of notes and study them often. if your not into philosophy dont take her she doesnt make it interesting or very easy
If I was a philosophy major I imagine this class would be okay. The material is not too difficult as long as you study and show up to class. Webber just assigns a lot of reading and this class takes up too much of my time. I'm a PA major and I'd prefer not to spend so much time worrying about PHI and focus on my more important classes.
The professor is really difficult and unorganized. She writes all over the board and thinks we should quickly comprehend the material right after she writes it. I am struggling in that class and regret taking it. Her test is about 100 questions and has quizes each week. The quizes are not bad just have to study it the reading she assigned..
So basically, I had no idea what the lectures were about all semester. She gives multiple extra credits and quizzes from the readings which are fairly easy and good to boost your grade. Her notes are bad, small handwriting. This is an okay class for PHI majors, but honestly I wanted to die all throughout. I was so confused in every class.
Class consists of three exams, about 8 quizzes drops lowest and a paper. Her notes are the exam. you just need to memorize them. gives a few extra credit questions that are optional. textbook was about 60 $
OK prof, class is made up of 3 tests, a paper and also a quizzes which are based on readings. Do the readings and you should be OK on the quizzes. Tests are very hard, but go to her extra help and she will outline what is on the test. Notes are on the chalkboard and very heard to read.
She's truly an amazing teacher. if you actually listen and pay attention to her when she's explaining things it is actually interesting and easy to understand. roughly 9 easy quizzes and she drops the lowest. 3 non cumulative exams and one EASY reflection paper. most importantly TAKE NOTES!! you will not pass if you don't.
If you think she's a bad professor its because you failed to apply yourself to actually learn something. She gets that her class is not the most interesting but if you pay attention to her notes, the lectures are straight forward. She gives 9 quiz's from the readings (supper easy) and 3 exam's. Don't take her as a joke or you will fail.
Very hard subject. Do your work and study you should get a A. If you show her you are trying she will boost your grade. Not a bad choice.
Students who critic this professor are looking for the easy way in life. Dr Webber assigns readings from the textbook, there are quizzes from the readings (lowest 2 are dropped), 3 tests, one page paper, and gives you many extra credit opportunities. Participate, show up to class, take solid notes and there is no reason you need to worry.
She puts an effort to make sure her students understand the topic. She realizes philosophy is hard and tries to make it as easy as possible. Her exams are based on her lecture notes and textbook, so don't miss anything. Exams are about 70 MC, seemed scary at first but the majority is common sense. The subject itself is very interesting and fun.
