There's lots of homework, but it helps when it comes to the test

It's as easy as it could get. No mandatory attendance, she uploads the notes online if you skip class and she also has weekly reviews (if you never go to her class lol). The exams are super easy, it mainly consists of problems you already did (maybe different numbers sometimes). The class itself isn't really interesting but it's super easy.

Dr. Johnsons tests are very straightfoward. As long as you do the homework and the test review you can get an A/B. The class itself is relatively boring, but it is math after all.

This class was a breeze! I took calculus in high school so I knew most of the material, but even without she gives you reviews that are very similar to the exams! If you can do the questions on the review you will ACE the exam! Also, you can miss class since she uploads notes online, but there are 3 assignments a week. Definitely would recommend!

I really enjoyed her class! Her tests and homework are just variations of the notes you work on in class. As long as you can do the review you should be set to get an A/B on the test. She was so nice during office hours! She never makes students feel dumb and encourages questions.

Dr. Johnson is one of the best professors I've had as a college student. She's super sweet, her lectures are straight forward, and she tells you straight up that she doesn't trick you on her exams. Her exam study guides are so helpful, and if you do the review and can work all the problems, the tests will be a breeze for you.

I personally feel like her teaching ability in this class might be a little hard to grasp if you don't have a decent understanding of Calc I. If you do, this will be an easy A. Lecture notes are posted online and reviews for tests are basically the tests themselves (all multiple choice). Also many homework problems are exact from the notes.

Test are shorter test reviews with variations in number but not format. Willing to work with students, a great prof. for those looking to get a painless A math credit under their belt.

She finds the easisest ways to explain the concepts with shortcuts. Her reviews are literally exaclty like the test, and her test are not hard at all. Her notes are posted online. If you are taking Math 141, take Maya Johnson and you will do great.

She really tries to make the material as easy to understand as she possibly can, and she does a really good job of making sure her students understand what is going to be on the tests. Class is very boring, but she posts the notes online so you can get by with skipping a few. Overall would definitely recommend this prof!!

Take Dr. Johnson, don't go to class, get an A. It's that easy. Her lectures during class consist solely of filling out a study guide that she then posts online, rendering attendance useless. There is a fair amount of homework due every week, but she granted extensions on it fairly often. The final review was almost exactly the same as the final.

Prof Johnson is great! I HIGHLY recommend for a math class. She isn't "out to get you" like other math profs. She's not super outgoing, so you have to reach out to her & the T.A. if you need help, but they do help! TIP: do Webassign hw in class, and use notes as extra reviews for tests! 4 tests & drops lowest test grade is you've taken all of them.

Easiest Math class you will ever take!!! Don't need to go to class. She posts all her notes online. Just study the reviews because they are IDENTICAL to the test. Have a good amount of homework every week but just look at the notes she posts online, most of the homework questions come from them.

She posts the completed notes online so there's no point in going to class. She does give 6 take home quizzes but you can use your notes on those so they're pretty easy. Also, she hands out a test review which are identical to the exam so if you study that, you'll get an easy A.

I had her for Math 141 and 131 and she's amazing! There's no point in buying the textbook, just buy the access codes for the homework. A lot of people don't show up to class but she explains things very clearly and helped me learn so I still went to class. I'd definitely take her again.

Best professor Ive had at A&M. she's funny and really cares about your success and is very willing to help you to learn the material. all notes are posted online but attendance is helpful, her tests are short but she gives out a test review that is identical to the test just with different numbers.

Professor Johnson is very sweet & cares about her students by doing everything she can to make sure everyone understands the material. Although she posts her notes online, I do recommend attending class since she has tips & tricks on how to do certain problems that help a lot. A review is given for every exam & that's all you need to ace the exam!

Johnson is a great professor, and the class is very high-school like because we received review sheets prior to each exam (these were also the same thing as the homework but with different numbers) and she allowed us to replace lowest test grade with the final. I would recommend taking her if you simply need the 141 credit, not to learn material.

Quizzes are take home and exams are just like reviews. I went to class sporadically and never felt lost as I just caught myself up by copying the notes she posts and consistently doing the homework. Such a good option for calculus!

Dr. Johnson has made math a cakewalk. In-class notes everyday. She does do take-home quizzes in addition to homework on WebAssign. 3 regular exams with a cumulative final. She does post her completed notes/exam reviews, so you don't necessarily need to go to class. Solid choice, would recommend to anyone. If you do have trouble, go to office hours!

If you took Pre-Cal or Calc in high school, you will do GREAT in this class. Prof is extremely nice and helpful! I honestly fell asleep almost every day for the first couple weeks and made 99 on first exam. Some of the material I learned was new, but if you pay attention in class and DO THE REVIEWS (wink, wink), you will do fine on the exams!

Dr. Johnson is pretty chill. She has you print out blank notes and complete them in class everyday. She gives a review before every test. Not too much homework and a few take home quizzes. The tests cover a lot of concepts, so just make sure to know the review well. She can sometimes take off points for dumb things, but overall great prof.

She is by far the best Math 141 teacher. Her teaching style is very slow, but she goes over the material slowly to ensure her students understand the material. The homework and quizzes are not difficult at all and help your grade a lot. Out of the three tests, the second one is for sure harder than the first and third.

Dr. Johnson is easily the best math teacher I have ever had. She teaches topics in a way that everyone will understand and is readily available to help students. I can say that I actually finished the class understanding what was taught. Very nice and caring lady. 10/10 would recommend

This is the only professor I would recommend you take for Math 141 or 140. You will most likely drop out of the other teachers' classes. Johnson is an awesome professor who fully explains everything & posts her notes online if you don't come to class. Great prof. I wanted an A in an easy math class so I did all the online homework and also the suggested homework (which you obviously don't have to do) and it helped me a lot. She has clear instructions and is just overall great at explaining the lessons. If you have trouble on any homework or lessons, go to tutoring or any help sessions.

Prof Johnson is an excellent professor. Go to class, listen to her lecture, and do all of your homework. Lastly, repeatedly complete her review for each test and you should be fine. I didn't do any of the suggested homework and still passed with an A. Stay on top of your homework though, because it does count for 10% of your grade.

I LOVE Dr. Johnson! She works hard to help her students, has amazing notes that are identical to the homework assignments and the reviews are identical to the exam. If you have the option to have her as a prof, do it. Easy A if you show up and put minor effort in

She's the easiest math prof you could ever take, and she's also very nice. I probably only showed up to like 70% of the classes and could always keep up b/c she posted the notes online. Reviews are exactly like the tests. You do have online homework but it's not bad. Easiest math i've taken since high school algebra.

Dr. Johnson is hands down one of the best math prof I've taken at A&M. She's so nice and caring. Her take home quizzes are pretty easy as long as you go to class & take notes from lectures and you should be fine. The exams are fairly easy, I've never made below a 93 on it! Her review is the key to your success in this class so definitely do them!

She is a very clear lecturer and gets the information across well. Quizzes are all take-home, and she is accessible for help if needed. The lectures give adequate information and practice on the material, and I thought she did a good job in answering questions.

Johnson is amazing. Post notes online but then posts all the filled in notes the next days. You can skip class whenever you need and just learn the notes after she posts them completed. Tests count a lot but are straightforward so study for them.

Professor Johnson is the best. I took her for MATH 141 and it was the easiest math i have ever taken! She wants you to pass and will help you with anything. Her tests are very easy she gives you a review to study from and it is the same as the exam. Her notes are very clear and she does them with you in class and answers any Hw questions!

I loved taking Math 141 with Johnson. I never felt Math was my strong suit until I took this class. I made an A by studying the lecture notes and exam reviews. She's understanding and is an excellent teacher. If you can take Johnson, please do!

She is very nice and a good teacher. She'll teach exactly what you need to know for the exam. It's up to you to practice and go to class in order to make an A, but it is not difficult with some effort. Very good prof.

I loved professor Johnson. I took this class my freshman year, then had to Q drop because my professor was awful, and then I took the class with Johnson and aced every exam and Homework assignment. The class requires minimal effort, and I skipped one or two classes, but I suggest going and paying attention because teaching yourself can be tricky.

Love Dr. Johnson. I might end up with a B in the class, AND I have continously skipped class. Her notes from lecture and online homework help me tremendously if I missed class. She is 10 times better than any other Math Prof. 12/10 recommend

The notes help understand your homework so make sure you go to class and get her notes. The notes help with quizzes and test. She gives you everything you need to make an A. Our class average was a high B.

Super easy class! She posts all of the notes online and doesn't take attendance. All of the tests, homework, and quizzes are based on the exact same note-taking material, so it makes the class super easy. Would definitely recommend for anyone needing an easy math class!

I'm horrible at math but Dr. Johnson really explained it and took it at a pace where i understood. There isn't tons of hw but its great practice. The notes and hw are exactly like the tests so study those and you'll do well. She drops a few hw and quiz grades and your final will replace your lowest test grade so you'll have a good chance of passing

Dr. Johnson was AMAZING! I'm not the best at math and she taught it in a way I could understand it and always was open for questions in person, over email, and in class. The class consists of 3 exams, a final (which will also replace your lowest test grade), weekly homework, and like 10 quizzes (most are take home). TAKE HER!!

The best math professor at TAMU. She posts notes for you to fill in during lecture and the homework matches the notes. She also gives reviews before tests and suggests going to week-in-review (which helps immensely). She is SO nice and it's obvious she cares for her students- she goes slow and goes over every single step. Take her if you can!!!

While it might be tempting to skip this class since all notes done in class are posted online going to class makes it much easier to understand the material (even if it is easy), do the homework, and do well on the tests. Dr. Johnson is a real sweetheart and clearly wants her students to succeed you just have to put in the effort and you'll be fine

Course was hard, but not because of my prof. she was the BEST! goes very slowly and at a good pace. that being said, i'm probably getting a B but only because i suck at math. if there's an extra weekly review, USE it. it definitely helped me. she also doesn't take attendance but it helps to go.

Lectures are not very interesting, but all the notes are posted online. The homework follows the notes really well. There are 3 tests and weekly homeworks. Overall a pretty easy class.

This class is a complete joke if you have knowledge of basic high school math. There was maybe 3 days of notes that I didn't already know how to do. She's a sweet professor but she moved very slow which could be a little frustrating at times. However, it was nice that we had a chance to understand the material in class rather than just flying through it then and learning on our own later

Dr. Johnson is so nice and makes the work load easy (weekly homework + 4 exams), though it's frustrating when unlike math 140, none of her homework/reviews/lectures match the material on her tests. She is accessible outside of class though and works through the material slowly and clearly. The difficulty of this class is mainly due to the material.

Very Caring! Go to her week in reviews. I didn't take calc in HS & ended up with an A thanks to the final. My highest test grade was an 85, but her final review was the perfect study guide & the final replaces your lowest test grade. I recommend going to class although a lot of people don't. I was really scared to take calculus because I didnt take it in HS, but this class was very doable. If you stay on top of your homework, go to class and week in reviews, and make use of office hours if needed, you will be fine. I feel like I learned a lot in this class.

Johnson is kind & wants students to succeed. I never took AP calc in high school and still got an A+ (I attended class, studied notes, and her week in reviews which i highly recommend). I took her over the summer and i'm not sure if the level of difficulty was easier compared to regular semesters. Reviews are perfect for studying for the exams. I've also learned so much from her. Stopped attending class after I made a 100 on the first exam. All of the notes are posted online so just use those to do the homework and study her review before the exams. Final was hard so don't get too comfortable.

This is the easiest class I've taken in a long time, it's basically just algebra. I took calc before this and in comparison this class is a breeze. I probably spent 2 hours a week on this class max. Johnson is a great professor, very kind and understanding, and the people who are saying they don't like her probably just didn't put the work in.

Basically on the level of algebra 2 or a pre calc class. I wasn't a big fan of the hw website bc it doesn't tell you why questions are wrong and sometimes requires answers in a particular order. Exams are straightforward and you don't need to dig to find the information you need. Drops the lowest quiz grades and gives some extra credit on exams.

Her eCampus format was organized and she gave us a weekly checklist to know what was due. We would sometimes have to watch another sections recorded lecture to catch up with them, which was inconvenient as the recordings usually werent posted the same day. This Professor is extremely easy. She is a little bit hard to keep up with during lectures if you choose to not speak up. She will slow down for you if she needs to. She also has an in-class tutor that can help you as well. She does the homework on edfinity which due once a week, also with the homework you need to show work and send a picture in.

Full disclosure: I did not actually have her as a professor as I had a different professor, but I did appreciate that she was helpful this year with hosting review sessions for the midterm and final exams for all Math 1314 students. I felt like she made me better understand the material in the reviews we were handed, and I highly recommend her!

Professor Johnson is overall a good professor. Her class is easy if you pay attention and study. She wants you to succeed. However, be prepared for her to be a little weird but super nice. HW is easy and so are the weekly group assignments.

By far the easiest class I took. She can be dorky, but she's cool. Lots of homework, but you have a whole week to finish it. Attendance is mandatory, so your grade takes a hit if you don't show up. 90% of the time, she lets us leave class early. You can pass this class if you're on top of things. If you fail, it's because you didn't put in the time
