One class of method for every two or three classes of just straight examples. The catch is that all of the exams are examples from the board, so your notes will save you (at least on the initial exams). However, RETAKES WILL BE DIFFICULT - be prepared for much harder retakes than the original exam, think long and hard before taking them.

No partial credit, doesnt want you to pass and doesnt care. Overall mean guy who wants his class to seem like the hardest. Everyone I know got less than a 60 on the midterm.

I believe the material itself isn't that hard to understand, but when it comes to exams (midterm and final) he is a very tough grader. Doesn't give much or even any partial credit. I've spoke with multiple classmates and none passed midterm. I have 100's on HW and high 80's on quiz, but with exams each being 32% of your grade it make it hard to pass

Let me start by saying LinAlg as a class is super easy going by material. With that said, if you want to make it as difficult on yourself as possible, take his class. He prints notes at the speed of light and doesn't explain anything because to him it's intuitive. He gives 0 partial credit either and his handwriting is horrible.

Professor Humi is the worst professor I've ever had. I am on the verge of NRing the course (about half the students this term are too) because he does not give partial credit on exams. On the homework and quizzes I do fine, because they are not graded by him. His handwriting is terrible too! Avoid at all costs

One of the worst professors I have ever taken in my life. His explanations were very unclear, so I had to learn most of it on my own. His handwriting is terrible and pivots from one problem to the next without full completion. Insists that something is intuitive and obvious when it would take an extra 5 seconds to explain why. Difficult grader.

He's an older professor who knows the subject material very well, but he sometimes can't get explanations across well to the students. For lectures, he projects a piece of paper that he writes on, and it can sometimes be difficult to follow along. Also a bit of a tough grader, but there weren't any surprises on the tests. Overall, not bad.

I personally enjoyed taking Professor Humi's class. His lectures are easy to follow and he's willing to help you if you ask. He is very inspirational. I still remembered on the syllabus he mentioned "Worthwhile achievements in life do not come on a silver platter." He wants you to study to actually understand the materials, not just for the exams.

He's a funny guy! His lectures follow examples similar to homework/test questions. The course is super test-heavy (40% final, 50% weekly quizzes), though, which I struggled with. Diff eq isn't easy but it's doable and I'm glad I took it w/ Humi.

Impossible to get an A. I knew many people in this class who had upwards of a 99 going into the final exam, and everyone I know ended up with a B. He is a very harsh grader and makes it extremely tough to get an A.

The class is very easy to pass if you take notes. Attendance isn't mandatory, so as long as you look at the class lectures you will be fine. He does weekly Friday quizzes, but those are open notes and the problems are very similar to the HW problems. There is no midterm, only a final which was probably the only downside of this course.

Poorly prepares the class for exams, which is unhelpful because quizzes and exams are 90% of the grade. Handwriting is very challenging to read, and he makes an unbelievable amount of mistakes during lectures, so you can never really trust his notes unless a smarter student steps in to help.

Not a bad professor, has a rigorous and algorithmic teaching style for a rigorous and algorithmic subject. VERY punishing grader, and quizzes are harder than class work. Do the homework before the weekly quizzes and you'll be fine. Final and midterm are worth A LOT and tend to also have tricky questions. Exams/quizzes also only have 2-4 questions.

He's an old man who is a very traditional professor. Exams and quizzes are worth 90% of your grade and he often makes mistakes during his lectures. He posts his notes which are nice, but he often takes awhile to post them and is not very accessible after class. His quizzes tend to be similar to the homework and he lets you use your notes.

His lectures make learning very easy, as it is in the form: theory, formula, examples. He very much wants you to ask questions in class. Tests and Quizzes make up 90% of your grade, but quizzes are open note/easy and his tests are very straightforward and have no surprises. Pay attention in class and do the HW and getting an A is very attainable.

He opened the first day of class by saying "this will be a hard class, you need to show up and pay attention." The difficulty did not come from the material but rather his teaching, seen in small writing, mistakes that aren't caught, talking into the board and not to us, harsh grading, and repetitive lectures. Do not take a class with him.
