Excellent professor, very funny,open, class very interesting. Some tests are take home test. He prepares powerpoint to teach and sometimes brings interesting videos like a trans sexual surgery.

Great Professor!! I took her online class and I learned a lot. The only thing is that if you do not like to write then this is not for you! 8 Essays, 1 Interview and regular posts are necessary in order to succeed. There are 2 tests and 8 quizzes basically. Anyways for me it was worth it. Professor A+++++

Excellent professor. I took her online class, and I learned a lot. She gives you one week to complete assignments, but you must be prepare to write essays, long comments, and make research. Took this teacher for DEP2000 virtual college.Very easy & short assignments/quizes.For midterm and final (not proctored, thank GOD) you definately need to study or at least have good knowledge of the book so you can find the answers!But honestly this teacher is very nice & helpful. I took the online class and I really never even had to talk to her. She makes everything crystal clear. To get full credit for attendance you have to log on 3 days a week which is not that bad. I wish every class I took was this laid back. No stress, nothing As long as you do all the work (which isn't even that bad), then you'll be ok. She's great.

I took this class online and it was interesting. She gives you 30 mins for a 10 question quiz. Everything is on the book so just read carefully. I asked her for help a couple times since I failed the midterm and she didn't respond. I got an A on everything else and the final is online. Everything on the book. Passed the class with an A. :)

Ok so I've taken 60 credits ay MDC and she is no doubt the best professor I've ever had. Clear, funny, very interesting and doesn't make the class unnecessarily hard like most professors do. Uses many real examples in the lectures and all of the tests for my class were take-home, so you will learn psychology without the hassle studying all night.

Mayte is the best psychology professor at Miami Dade College; She really cares about the students, and has amazing lectures. From taking this course I learned a lot of new interesting material. Also, Nursing student must take this class seriously because it will help tremendously in the nursing experience. I wish every professor was like Mayte.

Dr. Mayte Insua-Auais is a wonderful professor. Her assignments are short and not difficult at all. She is very clear and easy to understand. The only semi-difficult thing you will do in this class is write a paper. The class is interesting and she makes it easy for everyone. There is a proctored midterm and an online final. Her class is great.

Professor insua is very sweet and caring. Shes very funny and gives a lot of examples. Tests are take homework and rarely does she assign homework. I would take her again however it did bother me that she would take the whole month to grade just one paper!! Annoying. She is an easy grader though and is very considerate with other peoples problems

Cares for her students, amazing lectures!

Her lectures were quite boring at times, but she is the only recommend for PSY2012. The tests are take home and we had discussions which were homework assignments on blackboard. Overall she is not that bad and a very sweet and nice lady.

She has been my favorite professor so far, she makes the learning environment so entertaining I wouldbactually pay attention. Her class is not hard but you do learn. And her test are online!!

This professor is honestly so amazing ^-^ I'd most definitely take her again if possible. Not only are her lectures very informative and you can tell she has a passion for what she's talking about but she also makes the course fun. She has an adorable way of explaining things and exams are online and mostly based off her lecture notes. Easy & fun.

She is the nicest teacher I have ever met. Her lectures are long and heavy but she makes them really interesting and gives tons of examples. Her tests are take home exams and you usually have about a week to complete them. They are not really hard but require you to take 2-3 hours to answer the questions.

Professor Insua is a sweetheart! She always brings up the funniest examples in psychology, which makes the lectures engaging and memorable. Her class is also virtual blended, so all the work is online (it's also very easy) and she allows you to use notes to complete it. That means if you picked a T R class, you only show up on T (nice surprise!)

I took DEP2000 online and it was an easy class. There are about 5 easy quizzes from certain chapters, discussions, a reaction paper, an easy midterm If you study the study guides, and a final! Overall easy class. The only thing is that she takes a while to reply to your emails.

I took this professor Fall 2018 and she was my favorite professor! She assigns discussion posts and 5 take home exams. There was no exam taken in class. The only way to fail is by not doing anything at all. She lectures the entire class but her bubbly personality gets your attention! I'm taking her again this spring! Take her, she's awesome!

Theres no way you can fail her 8 week online course. Buying an access code is for extra credit. Midterm was protected super easy questions. Final was non proctored. 5 discussions , 5 quizzes 20-25 questions. One super short essay. Extra credit quiz( if you need it). All honestly this class was easy. Take it get it over with.

I took her 8 week course for fall 2019 , 5 discussions , 5-25 questions quizzes, one short essay ( legit a page and a half). Midterm proctored 50 multiple choice( study guide included) final non proctored. She gives out a extra credit quiz. Buying the book and access code for virtual life is optional. Easy A trust me!

this is the second time I take professor insua and man do I love her she is honestly one of the best professors at MDC north campus. this class is easy and is one of her favorites to teach since it is her specialty. she brings in examples from real life and is a down to earth woman and really funny too. 100/10 highly recommend taking her!

Read the chapters, take the quiz. There are about 4 discussions. Then there is one paper you have to write, the midterm and final. It is straightforward but you do have to put in effort and read. Syllabus is accurate.. She also gives extra credit.

I took this class online. She takes a bit to get back to emails so relying on you classmates is useful. The class in not hard but you do have to read a lot and learn on your own. There is a proctored midterm (on campus/online) but an online final (not proctored). There is lots of extra credit. RECOMMEND

If you need help, she will help you to the best of her ability. Her PowerPoints and lectures will really help you. Everything that is in the test she thought.

Professor Insua was a really great professor to start of learning about Psychology! With her experience in the field, she is able to take those learned experiences and help students understand the content and workings of psychology, in an engaging way. Exams are easier if you pay attention in class, and they are open notes.

Don't hesitate to take her! She's very knowledgable about the topics we discuss and tells us stories during her lectures to better understand the lesson. HW were mainly discussion boards and they were interesting topics. She gives you plenty of time to finish the exams and gives extra credit to those who do the assignments on the pearson book.

She's a fantastic professor! Her class does have exams, but she gives you a whole week to complete them. All of the assignments are easy and interesting. Plus, she allows you to use your notes for the exams. The material was sometimes confusing, but she did an amazing job explaining it. I honestly wish I could go back in time to retake the class.

Phenomenal Professor! 5 Exams (Not Proctored) 50% of your grade. Weekly Assignments (40% of your grade) but super easy which include random quizzes and discussions. Attendance (MANDATORY) (10% of your grade) Super sweet teacher and has pretty fast lectures. HIGHLY recommend for a breeze semester. Also the book is online for free PDF.

I had no interest in psychology,but her lectures were amazing and not boring at all. The class was super easy and interesting. Just a few discussions and quizzes. She answers emails and she is very nice with her students. I would take her again and again.

She is just a sweetheart. She is extremely caring and goes over all the information during class time. The work is super simple, usually one assignment due at the end of the week. The exams are not proctored and are pverall very simple. Highly recommend taking her.

She's such an amazing professor! Her lectures are amazing & interesting. She gives you a whole week to complete her homework and test. Tests are not proctored. She made me laugh a couple times in her lectures. On Valentines Day she gave us munchkins from Dunkin'. Overall, her class is super easy, just take her.

Prof. Insua is incredibly knowledgeable and captivating in her field, made me actually consider taking abnormal psych as well! She covers everything in a thorough but understandable manner with PowerPoints and bases her exams solely of them, as well as her lectures though she doesn't mind questions if you have any. Wouldn't mind having her again :)

She's amazing! You can tell she's passionate about psych. She loves participation and questions. All assignments were online. Also a little side note: she talks fast but not too fast, just fast enough to keep your attention but not too fast that you'll get lost (which I LOVE because i tend to start to daydream when professors talk too slow)

no bad things to say about her. Her class is great I had it online. I liked that we didn't have group work and didn't have to do a lot of writing. All exams and assignments are online non proctored. She always gives a full week to do assignments and never gives more than 2-3(most weeks only 1) she also makes class interesting and cams not required.

Ptofessor Auais is a one of the best professor ive had so far . Shse gives hw thats due at the end of the week at 11:59 pm, 4 exams (all non proctored). She records her lectures and send them to her students And study guides for exams and replys to emails fast she drops lowest 3 assignments and 1 exam. Its impossible for you to fail take her!!

She is amazing and will help you when you need it. I take her class on Spring 2025 and there were a lot of Homeworks, but super easy. I would like to have more classes with her.

I genuinely adored this professor and always looked forward to her class. She's extremely kind and understanding. Whenever I would see her in the hallways, she would always take the time to say hi and ask me what class I was going to next. Her lectures were easy to follow & the work was always assigned online weekly and was pretty easy to complete.

I absolutely love Dr. Insua-Auais. She's very knowledgeable about what she is teaching, and the class is so engaging. She lectures, and we use the chat to chime in, and she just makes our questions flow into the lecture. There is no midterm or final, just weekly McGraw-Hill assignments, module exams, and discussions. I highly recommend!

NO LATE WORK! She does not allow any type of late work. I took her MWF, and she gave fridays off. That is why she doesnt allow late work she gives you the time on friday to get it done. Cams can be off. Shes very kind and funny, loved the class.

I took this professor for my Human Growth and Development course, and she's amazing! There is a lot of homework, but it's definitely easy and doable if you pace yourself. She's very understanding and she reminds us each week of what is upcoming! Exams are 40% of the grade, but she provides a very detailed study guide for each exam!

Great class just lots of homework and sometimes the correct answer is marked wrong on the hw but that's not her fault that's the books fault unfortunately. The hw book questions also asks really irrelevant and non important questions which is annoying tbh. But she is really kind and answers emails when you have any questions or concerns.
