as someone who is a really bad artist, i enjoyed her class. she is really cool and passionate about art and it gets you excited about it as well. it's okay if you're bad at art in her class because she just grades your projects by how much work you put in to it. super fun professor to have AND she dresses really cute.

Attendance is taken every day. She requires a few outside of class projects and very short papers. No tests, and no textbook needed. You do not need to be an artist to do well in this class. Just show up, do what is asked, and put a little effort in. Dye is super understanding and fair. She is knowledgeable and makes art interesting.

She's really funny and insightful in the world of photo. As a Photographer (who's now majoring in art w/ photo emphasis) I had never done film before and her class really opened me to it. She's really encouraging and helps you learn so much to do with photography. If I could I would take her class again. I loved it and I'm going to miss her and it.

McKenzi is a super fun, corky professor who loves photography. She is very easy going, and the focus of the course is just familiarizing yourself with your camera and function, as well as editing in photoshop. Easy A if you do the work and she really give you freedom to express yourself.

There was really nothing I would change about this class. Everything was perfect, the only critique I would give is to add more class shoots because those were super fun! I loved going outside and shooting with the class, but besides that everything else was perfect!

This would help me connect more with other students in the class, but besides that everything was perfect! I loved this class so much and it helped teach me how to be a good photographer. McKenzi is one of my favorite professors Ive had while in the art program at Dixie. She really understands everything shes teaching you, and actually teaches you it. Even though I was taking intermediate photography, I felt like a beginner. Leaving her class I can confidently say I at least doubled my photography knowledge.

I loves that we went on field trips to have a chance to expand our horizons on photography. Like we got to be outside at Snow Canyon and we got to photograph people. It was a fun class!

McKenzie is super flexible and understanding. She makes each assignment as fun as possible while still pushing you to be a better photographer and expand your abilities. Shell give you opportunities to grow in your area of expertise as well as challenge you to learn new things. She is a very nice professor and an amazing teacher!

Great professor overall

I had McKenzi for Intro to Film Photography and I loved her. Would definitely take again. She is so talented and loves to teach others about photography. It is a fun and interactive class, and you get to learn how to take, develop and print your own film photos. She provides great feedback and I definitely recommend her.

As an adult learner, Professor Dye made it very comfortable and inclusive for me as a student and nurtured my growth as a photographer. So grateful for the experience and learning. Looking forward to the next class.

This is a fun class. Professor Dye is great! She provides a lot of opportunities to learn photography hands on. She has field trips, provides models, and even provided us with an opportunity outside class time to learn how to do wedding photographs. She provides good feedback and has students give each other positive constructive feedback.

This professor did an amazing job of clearly stating the assignments and giving great examples of what is needed to be done. She gave great feedback and is a very considerate, respectful and hands on teacher who is always willing to help with whatever she can. By far one of my favorite teachers and I think anyone student would be lucky to have her.

McKenzie Dye is a free-spirited and kind-hearted professor. She is open to adhering to her students' educational wants when establishing her curriculum, allowing her class to be very adaptive. She encourages all her students to make their own discoveries and only steps in when necessary to provide fundamental guidance or expert advice.

McKenzi is great. This was her first time teaching this class, so there was a lot of trial and error. She planned for many projects to do both in groups and individually, but things had to get changed a lot as she planned for more than was possible to accomplish. She gives great feedback and really focused on helping the students find their style.

I absolutely love Mckenzie's classes! I have taken a few from her, and will be taking more! She cares a lot about her students and is always available to help if you have any questions. She works in the field so she shares her experiences and can relate to those who may be just entering or struggling in it. 15/10 reccomend

Professor Dye was one of my favorite professors by far. Once or twice throughout the semester we went to different places to take pictures during class time and those were some of the best classes. The class is long, but she makes it go by and is one of the few professors that you can joke around with and have an easy conversation about anything.

McKenzi is fine setting things up herself and doing the teaching, but she prefers to always invites the students to be the ones to set things up and experiment so that they can learn by doing rather than watching.

It was an enjoyable class, especially coming into it I knew nothing about a camera or photography but I left with more confidence on how to adjust camera settings and how to edit to my liking. She is easygoing and gives good feedback. She's lenient on late assignments but once it's passed a certain time you'll get points off the assignment.

I have had many classes with McKenzi Dye. She is a great teacher! She makes herself available to her students and gives great feedback when we need it. We had several good lecture type classes, but most of the class was spent on hands on learning and actually applying the principles in different situations.
