He is a great teacher, but a nerd. nerdy jokes but great teacher

dude this guy is an easy teacher i don't know what these people are talikng about, had him for mat1033 and business calculus and got an A in both these classes, yes he tells corny jokes but atleast he tries to make the class funny

This is the best math teacher on campus. I'm not very great in math, but I received an A in the class. He explains the subject matter clearly and always makes time for questions. You won't be disappointed if you take this course with him.

he really cares about whether you are learning and doesn't make you feel dumb for asking questions. he is the best math teacher i've ever had. he makes dumb jokes but hes a really nice guy.

I think he's probably the best teacher to take for this subject (bc i've taken quite a few!) His lectures are really helpful so don't forget to take notes. His exams are quite easy too but like every math course, you have to study. Gives out quizzes but their pretty simple. Very nice & helpful guy!

One of the best math teachers I have ever had. Tries to make it fun. You must go to class and do your work or you will fail..it's math. Be prepaired for quizes. Tests are straight forward from the lectures. Pay attention to "the problems he likes". Replaced lowest test grade with final grade F w/ A!

Explains the material well. Tests are fair and the lowest test grade is replaced by the final grade. There are pop quizes, however, most are take home and two lowest are dropped. Take him if you can.

Very good teacher.All you have to do is go to class and do your homework.Give quizzes but most of them are take home.Test are fair but his doesn't give good reviews in my opinion. For the tests are you have to is study your homework and you will do fine. Make sure if don't understand something ask.

Mr. McCorvey is the best math teacher at TCC. He allows plenty of time for questions and is genuinely interested in helping you pass the class. If I could, I would take him for all my math classes. If you want a teacher who makes learning fun, this is the teacher for you!

Good teacher. I would suggest taking him if you struggle in math. He is very fair, and goes oout of his way to help students. He gives easy quizzes that help boost your grade, and does not collect homework. The tests are fair, but can prove difficult if one fails to do their part and study.

Great teacher! He is very attentive and takes the time to explain problems without making you feel like a jackass! Highly recommend for students struggling with algebra.

Mccorvey is a very good teacher. He explains things in detail and for someone who is not good at math he made calc. seem possible. You HAVE TO DO your homework! His quizzes are all take home and in the end count for 20% of your grade. His test reviews are on point. You tells you which problems to study. Do your homework go to class you'll do fine.

Mr. McCorvey is great teacher who actually makes math fun. The only way you could fail in this class is if you tried because he doesn't move on in the lesson until he is sure that everybody understands what is being taught. Do yourself a favor and sign up for his class.

He is very nice guy and very helpful. He makes class very easy if you do the homework on time and go to class regularly.This class needs lots of attention, if you miss a day that means you miss a lot.

Mr.Mccorvey was a great math teacher. I am horrible at math, and I was still interested in his class and made 90's on his quizzes. He lets you take home the quizzes, which is a plus, and he is extremely helpful if you go to his office for extra help. Have him as a teacher, he's really good.

Mr. McCorvey is the man. great teacher who has no problem helping students. he makes sure everything is clear to everyone before moving on, so if you dont ask questions and end up failing something, its your own fault. the tests are moderately easy and he gives a both take home quizzes and in class ones. he never checks homework either. highly recc

Mr. McCorvey is a great teacher. I am terrible at math but this class keeps me interested. He never checks hw, gives take home quizzes and always makes sure everyone understands what they are doing. Although his jokes are corny, he is kinda funny just because he tries so hard. His class is pretty fun and I would definitily recommend him.

I took him for business calculus. He is a good teacher. He is willing to help you if you need help at any time. But you have got to take his class willing to put in alot of work. Homework although isn't checked if you don't do it....he goes through the book kinda fast and you will get left behind. His tests are really tough but he really wants

By far the best math teacher I've ever had. Just make sure to review your notes daily and don't skip class because he gives many quizes. The tests are not so easy, but if you spend a couple hours studying, you'll ace it.

His explanations are awesome. If you don't understand something he'll take time to help you with it and not just move on. We're all friends here is what he says all the time. He gives great clues for the tests. Come to class. If you don't it really hurts your grade. Quizzes mostly passed out on Fridays so definitely come to class on Friday.

He tells a lot of math jokes that are not funny. He's a good teacher if you can manage to keep yourself in class for the entire class period. Very boring. He will take the time to explain an confusion you might have to the best of his ability. Overall Good teacher, nice person, boring class, boring subject.

he's an excellent teacher! yes you have to put in a lot of study time for homework but he never checks it. his "pop" quizzes he lets you take home and they are really easy and helpful. he's clear, helpful during office hours. tells lame jokes but hes cool. tests are super EASY!

I had him for the spring semester and loved it! I thought he explained the material well and his tests were based on the homework. I never missed a day because he would gove out quizzes in which we can take home. Overall, ny favorite teacher at TCC.

Great Guy! Homework is a must! Took two tries to pass this class, but math is my worst subject- I liked Mr. McCorvey so much I took it both times from him! He's Halirious!

Point Blank- I HATE math, and I still enjoyed his class. Probabaly the best, most understanderable math teachers you will ever take( the man breaks the problems down into smiley and frowney faces if he has to). Any one who tells you different- is a LIAR!!

This guy is awesome! He's really funny and goes at a pace that doesn't put you to sleep but isn't too fast. THE BEST algebra teacher but make sure you pay attention and take notes!

This guy is def worth taking. Business calc is a hard class no matter who you have so go to class. text book is used almost everyday.He makes stupid jokes but it lightens things up for a hard class.

i love him! one of my favorite professors. cracks jokes all the time and doesnt put you to sleep! you have to come to class and pay attention but if you do that you are sure to pass. dont but the book, no point. do the online homework! great teacher!

Mr. McCorvey was great! I took calculus in 10 weeks with him this summer! It was hard, but I got through it with a B because he was such a great teacher! His tests were fair (he doesn't try to trip you up) and based on the in class review. I definitely recommend him!

Terrific teacher, makes calculus soooo easy! You can make a "C" with little effort - and if you're motivated it's easy to ace this course. Have fun!

A very nice professor. This is easy IF you're are very PROFICIENT in algebra. If you're not, then you may want to take another professor. The test reviews feature problems that are MUCH easier than those given on the tests. So make sure you study thoroughly - don't just rely on his review because it's kind of misleading! G'luck!

I really liked Mr. McCorvey! He was such a great teacher, I always had fun in class. You don't always have to show up cause the homework was online but it helps. His quizzes are EASY and exactly like the notes. There's no way to fail if you get the notes! He ALWAYS has a smile!

Dont buy the txt book all the homework is online. He is a great teacher and very helpful but you have to pay attention and do the homework. if you are bad at math use the mathlab. if you are so so in math you will do well. he is the Best tcc math professor

I came into his class hating every math teacher i have ever had. BUT when he taught i was able to understand pretty much everything. He really tries to help you and he really cares. he allows to todrop two quizes and will help you when ever he has free time. One of the best teachers tcc has.

Excellent professor. I was 30 years old when I took his class. McCorvey made the rest of my math classes very easy because of his structure and clarity in the classroom. If you go to TCC you need to meet this professor.

Mr. McCorvey was a great math teacher. We didn't have to use our books at all, and the only homework we had was online math homework. He gives random quizes at the end of some classes so attendance is a plus. He has a great way of teaching and I would reccomend him to anyone.

I really enjoyed his class-gives great reviews before test-study the reviews you will do great. Do the bookwork homework and you will do good on the test-they are not required but help alot, very easy class because he makes it easy. go to class everyday!

This guy is hilarious. i don't even think he's trying to be, either. i really enjoyed this class and i don't like math. he's a great professor. he made sure things were crystal clear.

He is a very good teacher. If come to class its an easy A. He do gives pop quizzes, but he drops the lowest two quiz grades. You'll never know when he's going to give it to you. Overall he's a wonderful teacher and he know his math.

He makes things very clear, but if you are good at math just take an online course or another teacher. he doesn't take attendance but gives pop quizes almost every other class. I often found it a waste of time to go to class so I missed about 4 quizes, if he hadn't dropped 2 of them I would have received a B

Great Teacher! I am not good at math but with him as a teacher I was able to get A's in his class. I highly recommend him and come to class because he does give pop quizzes! He also reviews the day before the tests so class attendance is a plus!

Mr. McCorvey is a easy going teacher. All you have to do is attend class daily. You never know when he will give a pop quiz. He is always willing to help you with any question you may have. The people that say the he sucks, did not come to class and did not want to learn. "This isn't high school anymore." Mr. McCorvey is a very good teacher.

It is a good class, but I have had better teachers in Math. He teaches good and he is helpful if you need it. I would say this is a middle leveled class. he does give pop quizzes but they are easy and they are only like 5 questions each.

IF YOU DON'T PLAN ON GOING DO NOT TAKE MR. MCCORVERY! he will call you out in front of the whole class. he teaches the material pretty well but seriously take another teacher that does mostly online work if your lazy lol

Very good teacher. He is nice and very funny. His quizzes and test are so easy. In high school I made D's in math, but in his class I made a high A. Mostly everyone says his tests are easy, mainly because they're all multiple choice. Take him and trust me...you won't regret it. Just be sure not to leave class early, b/c he will chase you down.

This tearcher is really awesome really care you know the material. He give quizez at least once a week for take home so it is easy he only does that to keep up with attendane. Test are easy and he grades the porblem by what you know so if you miss some and get the rest right he gives gredit. In my opinion he us a GREAT teacher to take and funy!

The class was easy, but he annoyed me. He treats you like youre still in highschool & gives a pop quiz every day because he hates when people don't come to class. He teaches it clearly though and the work was easy

His class was ridiculously easy, I felt like I was in elementary math again (I'm not even joking) He sort of treats you like you're a child though, maybe because of what level of math the course is? Well anyways, the course was really easy and he explains all the material very well! Take his class and you will definitely receive an A.

Hes a cool teacher .. You hst have to make sure you miss no days he gives pop take home quiz. Im not the smartest person in math and i currently have a B in his class .. As long as you come to class and pay attention u should be fine . Btw his jokes are cornyyyyy and he can get a little annoying at times.

Awesome teacher. He tries to explain everything thoroughly so that everyone understands and if you still didn't just go and see him after class. He did not fly through his lectures. I only recommend staying on top of the hmwk, attending class cuz he givs pop quizzes (especially on fri.). But despite that still take him, you wont regret it.

idk what the 2 people below me are talking about he is SO helpful and nice. He spends the first 30 mins of class everyday going over HW problems you have trouble with and is constantly asking if anyone has questions. Hes the 2nd best math teacher i've taken at tcc. i highly reccomend him if you want an A in business calc.

Take him! He is very clear, super friendly, and really cares about his students! I'm not a math person and I got an A! Attendance isn't mandatory. Just make sure to keep up with homework/quizzes which are online. Tests are mostly multiple choice and simple. I recommend him to anyone.

Mr M was my best teacher this semester! He is so good at explaining difficult concepts and I never left class confused. As long as you are sharp with your basic algebra, you'll be good to go. Just know, you SHOULD be 100% ready for the tests because he "reviews with specificity", which is awesome. He's so clever and funny too so TAKE HIM!

This is not an easy class but if you have perfect attendance and ask questions when you're confused, you will pass with flying colors. Mr. McCorvey is very sweet and always willing to help

He is a very clear prof who teaches well and really cares about students learning and doing well. Graded by 2 exams, homework, and a final. Not hard if you go to class. Business calc

He is so good but you have to be good at math too, he skips a lot of steps but you should know these steps if you are going to calculus anyway, he doesn't give much homework. 3 tests and a final, no quizzes

All he does is work in the book the entire class and he put his lessons on Canvas so you don't even need to show up to class but that wouldn't be wise. You have 3 exams and and a final. Not really big on giving EC but you have a bunch of homework that's due the day of the test and it's worth a lot! SO DO THE HOMEWORK. Good teacher. Great pace!

Professor McCorvey was great. He explained as much as he could and asked questions to make sure you understood. He was very caring about his students and whether they passed his class. I appreciated him and really hope he could teach college algebra. Stay on top of the homework, go to class, AND YOU WILL PASS. TAKE HIM YOU WILL APPRECIATE HIM!!!!

LOVE! Goes through the workbook and problems thoroughly, while also providing tips to make things easier to not only memorize, but to learn. His silly jokes make my day every time and he really engages the class and makes sure everyone is on the same page. Show up! Participate! Care! That's the key. Write down the things he says and get engaged!

Professor McCorvey is such a nice guy! In class he goes through the notes and works out the problems. He will stop every so often and make sure no one needs help. He really cares about getting to know the students.
