at first I thought Meg would be a mean rude teacher, however she turned out to be truly kind hearted person. If she doesnt like you, she doesnt treat you any differnt from someone she does like. Most importatly, she wants every student to do well. A+

Meg is awesome! Her classes are not very difficult if you do the work and go to class. She is incredibly smart and enthusiastic. She cares about her students and is always there to help out.

Her instructions made the class easy to follow. 3 major speeches, lots of group work, fun enviroment.

Nice teacher, helpful, very very very very extremely hot, but pretty tough on grading don't nessisarily avoid her, but don't expect an easy A in her class.

Meg has this way of making you feel comfortable with public speaking. She is very professional and sometimes very stern. I enjoyed her class very much because she made us into a tight knit group so that we'd feel more relaxed!

Fair grader and easy class all together. I had her when she was pregnant and she still was nice. :)

Meg is a great teacher. She assigns very useful projects that allow you to learn a lot. She is big on plagirism, so be original people. Shes got a masters degree, has worked in big business, enjoys teaching, and really knows her stuff.

THE BEST TEACHER EVER!!!!! she made public speaking so easy! I was so afraid, and she started us off so slow, in front of just 1 person. Then she put us in groups, and that became out group and we all helped each other with everything. THe first speech was very personal and we all got to know each other very well. She was pregnant and so adorable! She had to leave before the end of class, and unfortunately, we got a bad substitute.

I have to tell you guys, this class was one of my favorites. I took it during winter session and I became friends with the entire classroom and as far as speeches, these people were the most supportive bunch that I have ever seen. There was a work load, but I enjoyed doing it. And Ms. Farrell structured the lessons in such a way that made it easy.

she is the sweetest. she is so nice & slowly eases us into speaking in front of the class. at the end, the class was sad to leave because we all became so close. as long as you attend class, turn in everything on time, pay attention to organization, and do what is expected, you'll have a good grade.

And I found it very easy to talk when she helped create such a open and free environment. recommend her!!!

Despite the 745 speech class she came in very warm and bright, not to mention while she was pregnant! She's a gem, one of those teachers you talk to in passing.

Meg really helps students to overcome their fears of public speaking and working in "families" is the greatest part, you get to know everyone by name and you look forward to going to class (except on speech days!) 3 speeches kinda difficult but easy tests. Lots of little busy work, but still if you have to take this class, take it with her!

Really great instructor. Shes very understanding, fair, and tries to make students as comfortable as possible which helps for a spch class. 2 tests, 3 spches. Put effort into your speech and follow guidelines and you will get an A for sure. She's pretty too, makes it easier to pay attention in class :)

She is the nicest, sweetest teacher! I hate public speaking but she has this way of making everyone feels at ease. Plus I love the families. It really made the class closer and therefore easier to make a speech in front of them. She is awesome!

The teachers at West Valley Communications Department are ALL awesome and Meg is no exception. She is friendly, nice, sweet, and very understanding. Like teaching a child learning to swim, she will ease you into performing speeches if you are nervous. GREAT TEACHER! 2 tests are pretty easy, multiple choice, and i didn't even read the book.

Mrs. Farrell is one of the best teachers I've had at West Valley. Comm 12 does require A LOT of group work but its quite fun and everyone becomes quite close. She is constantly asking what she can do to help and if anyone is slacking off. Great teacher!!!

I loved this class! It was a lot of work, but Meg was always so helpful and made every effort to help her students succeed. A lot of group work and reading, but she gave us interesting projects and it ended up being a fun class. When I had an emergency at the end of the semester, Meg helped me get through the last few weeks and still do well.

Gotta love Meg! She's so sweet and you can count on her to help you for anything. Of course, communications can get a little corny at times but all in all it's an entertaining class and I'm glad that I took it. Don't worry about speeches, it's probably impossible to do bad on them. She's a pretty easy grader. Highly reccommended!

Everything she does, or says is clear and fair. She helps build the esteem and confidence of her students. I loved her and recommend her to everyone who is interested in any communication class.

I took this course and read the whole book and loved it!The book is Experiencing Intercultural Communication by Judith Martin and Thomas Nakayama.This book changed my life--a must read! Meg is an excellent instructor! One of the best at West Valley.Meg is caring, and patient and fair. Meg and her course inspired me to get a Com reward and degree.:)

Nice lady, just way too into group work. Projects were easy enough, but the final project was significantly harder due to being a group project. Not my favorite subject on the planet, but it was easy day to day.

Easy and helpful teacher. No real reason you should get anything less than an A or B in this class. She takes attendance so you don't want to miss class or be late much. Her class is pretty chill and you should have a good time as long as there are no annoying people in your group.

This is a great class if you need to fill your Communications requirement. She's a very clear and well spoken teacher and makes the class pretty easy for us. Honestly, if you just do all the major assignments you'll have no problem getting a B or better. She's a pretty easy grader. It's more difficult to fail this class than to pass it.

Professor Farrell is simply one of the best instructors at WVC. She is always open to help at any time of the day. There were many times when I had a question and she always had a respond in no longer than an hour. Her exam are easy but the scenarios tend to be confusing. I recommend study groups. I passed with an A! easy class over all.

The speeches were interesting topics and fairly easy to talk about. Her power points are confusing and she doesn't explain them well. This makes it difficult on the 3 exams you have to take. She will consistently communicate through angel weeks before projects are due to give you time. Her goal is to help you succeed in her class. Study reviews and you'll pass all your Exams. This lady knows what she's talking about! I was nervous the first few times coming into her classroom BUT she made it fun and relaxing after a few visits. MY FAVORITE TEACHER OF ALL TIME. Meg is brilliant, witty, and compassionate. She works hard to make sure everyone is interested and engaged. Her classes go beyond a typical class environment and are borderline lifechanging. She is super friendly, and responds to emails faster than any teacher I know. Online class is great, but in person is best.

This class is so easy, yet so enriching! Meg is constantly sending out reminders, and she's always there to answer any of your questions. Her assignments have a clear rubric, so if you follow her guidelines, you will no doubt get 100percent on every assignment! I recommend doing the second IPP to get extra credit towards exam!

A good amount of work. Three projects during the semester. One or two discussion question per week answers of 200+ words. Online interactive book with questions. Not really a subject that interests me but it was a really well run class. I would recommend it if you need a COMM class. She is very helpful and replies to emails promptly!

If you just do the homework like she says, you will get a definite A. Practice your speech a couple times before class and you're golden. This is a totally stress-free class.

She is very clear on her lectures (those that were dicussed in class would be on the quiz for sure). She is very very positive giving comments on your speeches, therefore motivating her students. She is very nice and understanding, she is there if you if you needed help :)

There is a lot of assignments every week. 3 projects which are very easy but you have to do the work. She will answer your concerns right on time. Her comments make you feel good about your work. Loved having this class!

I took her online class, she responded quickly to emails. You write a couple paragraphs a week and skim through a textbook. It's interesting material. There are three major projects and you have to have an international partner that you meet several times which was cool. It was a consistently relaxed class all around.

2nd class I took w/ Meg, loved it!! Read a chapter a week/online discussion/easy quiz, and a couple straightforward projects. She is professional, caring, helpful, and her classes are both super interesting/fun! My 2 favorite college classes so far.

Meg is the type of teacher that can keep everyone together. She has online tests on canvas which are based on lecture and the textbook combined. I remember that I was overreacting before my last speech, and she told me that I could take a walk and practice again, which was very kind. She always gives you feedback when you get your results back.

Wonderful class mainly because she puts you in success teams which really make the experience so much nicer, because you all help each other write speeches. This class helped me feel more confident in public speaking, and everyone in class and Meg were always supportive of each student.

Definitely one of my favorite courses so far! There is a daily discussion every week that requires at least 200 words and a reply to a peer. Every week is a 10 question quiz regarding the chapter being read that week. Three easy projects, including the final, that require you to put in a bit more work but isn't anything too difficult.

Meg is such a sweetheart. I had her for Comm 001 in person back in 2011 and then again for 012 online. She was super understanding and caring. Gave great feedback and content was very detailed and clear. I learned a lot with this class and enjoyed having her as a professor again! Worth taking!

Solid teacher. The best thing she does is put you into groups called "success teams" and man do they help. It's really nice having a group of people pulling for your success. I was so nervous to take a public speaking class but I needed it to transfer. She is a great teacher who really wants you to succeed. Textbook is free but nobody reads it. Three speeches and three online quizzes. Easy class where you really get to know people.

She is the best teacher ever! I took this class because I took her Comm001 class & she suggested this one to me. I loved it & learned so much. It was definitely an easy A. The textbook isn't entirely necessary ( I know kids who didn't & got A's). Quiz q's are on quizlet. It is a project-based class w/ clear grading criteria & interesting subjects.

I took her for public speaking where I enjoyed the class so much that I became a Comm Major! Very easy work load. I also took her for online intercultural communication, as long as you do your weekly assignments and quizzes then you'll do great. One of the best teachers I've ever had.

She was a very understanding professor; always wanted you to succeed and learn. For online learning, we would present our speeches in groups of about 5-6, which is way better than doing it live in front of the whole class.

Prof. Farrell cares about her students. If you're falling behind or if you even scored lower on an assignment, she works with you to raise your grade. She responds quick to emails. Her assignments are easy and don't require a lot of work. She also makes sure to send out multiple reminders of when things are due do you never miss a due date.
