She was awesome... Very easy and take home exams which is a plus!

Very cool teacher, tried her best to make everything as easy as possible on us, and was very flexible. Loved being in her class.

She's an amazing teacher. It should be an easy class If you plan on attending and interacting with others. She'll have you write about topics you enjoy and will also help you perfect writing skills. Hw is read, no test, and flexible on receiving late work (don't take advantage tho, she won't let you get away with it)

She is great! I took eng 111 and 112 with her. She is very helpful, loves to interact with the class. No tests, just papers. She will seriously help improve your writing. Very down to earth.

Best teacher I've had at NOVA so far. I will definitely be taking her ENG 112 class. She's easy, completely understanding, laid back, and FUN. That's the best part, class is entertaining. I actually find myself excited for class!

She's very laid back, funny, and lovable. You'd still have to do your work to get good grades though. Essays are fairly easy as long as you put effort into them. She's also cool about extending due dates and accepting late works as long as you have a good excuse. Very reasonable and understanding.

She is awesome! The best teacher I've had at NOVA. She is fun and keeps things interesting. VERY helpful and engaged in the class. Be prepared to write a lot, but she allows you to turn things in late. LOVED her class! If you want to learn and have fun - take her!

WOOT WOOT!! Wow she is so cool. Yes, there is a lot of writing ITS A LITERATURE class so lots of writing and reading but she makes it manageable and you are free to express yourself. She is mad cool and such a good person.

Great, decent teacher. Shes has a nice talkative personality! Don't miss class it's useful, plus if she assigns something and you're not there then you don't get a grade for it. Grades a bit tough but fairly AND is willing to help you! Turn everything in and you should be fine

She is one of the best professors I have had at nova! She is very clear on what she expects from everyone, as long as you do your work and turn it in on time you will do great. I highly recommend taking her class!

Professor Bushar has a very laid back and enjoyable personality. As long as you attend class, participate in discussions (easy and she loves talking), and stay on top of your work then you will receive a good grade. Her syllabus was clear to follow. I look back at my old writings and can't believe how much I have improved after taking her class.

She recorded your grades on blackboard, gave extra credits (pay attention when she does), extremely open to any questions, and is so interesting/fun! Don't procrastinate on big essays and make sure that you read and bring in your textbook for class dicussion (they're fun).

Very laid back, hw consist of a few readings. Time spent in class = discussions. Theres 3 essays and one research paper. Incase you dont do well on them, she has other easy assignments you can do.Grading wise, she is pretty strict on grammar. It's best to take your paper to the writing center before you turn it in. Easy A if willing to do the work.

She is absolutely awsome and has a spontaneous personality. Just do all of the work and the extra credit and you have a 80% chance of getting an A let alone passing. She is also very helpful and kind. Great teacher take her!

She is a wonderful teacher. she creates environment that will allow you develop your writing. when you are in her class, you don't feel like she is your teacher. she is super nice, friendly , respectful,and lenient on homework. If you have issue, she will work out with you. I really enjoyed taking her class.

Professor Bushar is very patient and helpful instructor. She will help you and correct some grammar and structure mistakes prior to actual due. Also, she gives you some extra time to finish all the assignments even after the due date. Very flexible and laid-back... I recommend her for those who wants to improve their English or get a n A or B.

She was beyond helpful. There were two major essays. and 5 journals to do online. she truly cares about her students and wants to help. TEXTBOOK IS A MUST!!! I mean the quizzes were open book! As long as you actually do the work you'll get a good grade.

As you see, most comments are positive, so is mine. She is indeed easy-going, laid back, and carrying teacher. If you stuck on something, she will be there; if you don't have time to write the whole essay until the due date, she will work it out. Plenty of positive memories, so I suggest you to take any English class with her.

Best professor I've ever had. I've always hated English classes but she turned it into my favorite, I always look forward to seeing her. She's very kind, very clear, and really great to work with. I highly recommend taking her class.

She's such a sweetheart! She's very lenient when it comes to homeworks and projects plus she is such a fun professor! Take her and you will never regret it! Not an easy A, but she's a fair grader. :)

Professor Bushar made English easy and fun. She's a well-rounded and kind person. Many try to take advantage of her kindness because she's very flexible. It may seem like there is a lot of work but since she broke it down into parts all the essays and discussion boards seemed so easy. I would take her class again if I could.

LOVE PROFESSOR BUSHAR! Professor Bushar gives group quizzes which makes them easier and only assigns things she believes is vital. Fair grader, you get what you work for. VERY helpful and super nice. Gives extra credit options and lets you turn things in after class if you do not have it printed out. Hopefully, I can take her again for 112!!!

Her class was relatively easy. She gives you her syllabus dates from the beginning and never strays from it. So you know exactly what your doing everyday and what and when things are due. That was nice, she'd very understanding. Not too much work, but you should probably show up to class. Easy A if you do.

Professor Bushar is awesome!!!!! gives great feedback on essay drafts, quizes are easy and in groups. instead of a final exam she gave us an essay that we had weeks to work on. I hope I can take her again for 112

2nd time taking english 111 & there is a huge difference between her and my last teacher. She actually made class interesting, gets the whole class involved and likes to hear about your opinion or question. I hate reading so for me to find it easy and interesting is simply amazing. reccomend taking the hybrid course & tests are online & very few

I absolutely love Mrs. Bushar. She's very nice, entertaining and understanding. I would recommend her class to everyone I know! If you have the chance to take her class, definitely do it!

She's a GREAT professor, she actually teaches what you need to know. She's really nice, you will learn how to write great essays, I highly recommend her! She makes class fun, keeps students engaged.

Definitely one of the best professors I have had

I took this class as a hybrid. The class was pretty simple, just don't do your homework or essays last minute. They take time and effort.

Awesome teacher, way too nice and she's quite understanding. Do your part and she'll do hers, nice to literally everyone and one of the sweetest ladies you'll ever meet.

Best professor ever

This is for the fall2015 semester. She is literally the most fun professor I have had at NOVA. She's hip and modern and challenges students to be their best. If she taught more English classes I would definitely take them. You'll have essays and homework but she great feedback and works with you so long as you're making an honest effort.

She's a sweethearted professor and she's there's when you need her

This for a past semester but should still apply. She's just great. She assigns short readings sometimes, but no one really read them. You should tho, if you want to participate in the discussions. There are a few short papers and a group debate, but nothing unmanageable. If you put in the slightest bit of effort you will pass.

Prof Bushar is AMAZING. I take this class hybrid, so our actual class time is usually just discussion (make sure you do the readings!). The homework is easy for the most part but there is a lot. She writes notes on papers you turn in. LOTS of extra credit opportunities. Very friendly and helpful. English isn't my fav subject but I love this class.

Very Very sweet person and not bad as a professor. Gives us reading assignment every week and has group discussions every class. This is a good class however the work was very disorganized. Discussions were good and we had 2 big essays and other small papers. I recommend her and if you are behind, she does give you time to catch up plus EC.

After taking ENG112 with a different professor, I really miss Ms. Megan Bushar now. Best English prof you can have.

One of my favorite professors I've had. She's really laidback and the homework was super easy. I had one of the best semesters because of her! Highly recommend taking her class if you want to have fun while learning!

Great professor. She is easy but do not let the fool you. You still need to put in work. She is fair as long as you do your part. Would highly recommend her and will definitely take her again if at all possible.

Not a difficult course. You'll need to actually apply yourself to pass, though. Fortunately, Prof accepts all work up until the last day of class. While this is an amazing concept as a student, procrastinators beware. Keep up with the work and show up and you'll do fine.

She is an amazing professor. Make sure you do the readings, do your very best. I found this class extremely easy. If all you do is participate and show up and do assignments on time you are guaranteed to pass. Any level of skill guarantees you a B. Being competent in English guarantees an A. Do NOT expect to pass if you don't turn things in!!!

i took her 6 week its short so if your terrible at being punctual you will have a hard time. But shes awesome and funny and it was a easy A.

Awesome English professor. I always hated English, but I actually enjoyed it with her. Assignments were all pretty straightforward and spaced out well. Majority of the classes were mini group activities and discussions which made it more fun. If you have perfect attendance and turn everything in, she bumps you a letter grade. EC opportunities too!

She's one of the best professors at NOVA! Her style of teaching is very straightforward and is clear about the grading. If you have good attendance and can put in the effort to finish all the assignments then it's easy.

Great Professor, I really enjoyed her class. Just make sure to apply yourself through attendance and work. She is very willing to help you out with assignments. It really shows that she purely wants to make sure students succeed. This, of course, comes with the hope that they will gain knowledge.

She is an incredible professor that cares about her students. This class is unlike your typical English class. You get to chose topics for papers that are interesting to you. She uses recent events and pop culture in her lessons. Overall this was a very interesting and fun class.

Megan is awesome. While she requires effort from her students, and is strict in terms of due dates/assignment criteria, she also cares. If you don't understand something, Megan is happy to explain. She is passionate about what she teaches, so you are sure to gain from her class. Do the work, engage, and take advantage of extra credit opportunities!

Professor Bushar is the perfect teacher to take for ENG 112. She gives out a lot of work on Canvas, but it's manageable and the instructions are very clear. She'll respond to your emails about questions on any assignments. Expect some small group work during class like discussing and responding to readings. You'll really enjoy her class.

She's the sweetest professor I ever had. Sometimes she'd be really late to on zoom, but there was always a reason or message about it. Super caring and easy grader, wants everyone in the class to do well. Do all your work, and you will get an A. simple. Best English professor wouldn't recommend anyone else.

I loved Professor Bushar! She has been my favorite English professor at NOVA. She cares for her students and will take the extra time to explain and help you on literally anything you need. I took an 8 week course with her and it couldn't have gone anymore smoothly. She gives tons on extra credit definitely take her!

Prof. Bushar provides excellent feedback and will take time to help struggling students. I highly recommend participating in class, even if you are shy. She just wants to ensure that each student understands the material. She relates class material to current events, and allows students to choose their own topics on most assignments.

Best professor ever. She was caring and gave you so many chances to bring your grade back up. I didn't do well because I was lazy and procrastinated but if I didn't I would've passes with an A. I enjoyed going to class because she was energetic and always gave 100%.

Absolutely amazing. A tenured professor with a strong understanding of critical concepts, she does not waste the students time unlike many other English courses. Even with major health issues, Megan understood and empathized with me. Thank you so much for having a positive impact on our lives.

She is a great teacher. If you turn in papers early, she will go through it, give you feedback, and you can resubmit. This gives you a chance to get really good grades. Grades fairly, easy but not too easy.

She is such an amazing teacher, this was the only class I enjoyed throughout my semester. She makes English fun and interesting and uses real-life examples and problems to incorporate into her lessons. She is very caring and is willing to help students that are struggling.

Great professor, I definitely recommend her; she is not a tough grader, and if you do something wrong, she gives you a chance to amend your errors. Very understanding and approachable. A great person.

As long as you follow the rubric on the essays, you will get your A's. She is not a tough grader; she is very lenient and quickly responds to emails and grades major assignments on time. You just need to complete the tasks and quizzes. Fun class, and she is always open to office hours. Don't blame the professor if you're not completing your work.

Best professor hands down. So kind and understanding. Heavy workload but it isn't too hard, and she's there every step of the way to help. Very lenient with late work, but don't slack off for too long, as there are a lot of assignments. She makes the class feel very comfortable, so it's very easy to talk to her and engage in class. 10/10!!

She is easy going and cares about her students. To receive a good grade, it is important to attend all her lectures and engage with students. I enjoyed her lectures and had fun. I recommend her.

She was very kind and approachable. The class was fun at times, especially with the movies we watched as part of the lessons. She created a positive learning environment and made the course enjoyable. I would 100% recommend taking this class with her!

I'm currently taking her class at nvcc and this is my first semester at nova I have to say english teachers from highschool do not compare to this teacher! She is amazing and interacts with students a lot. She is helpful and gives out XC assignments and will answer any questions you have.

Class is really chill with lots of good conversations. Sometimes class ends early.

She was a great professor to have. She is passionate about teaching and provides a lot of feedback. She cares more about students ideas and what they're writing about rather than getting super hung up on the technical errors of their writing. I don't recall having any group assignments, but there was plenty of collaborative time with classmates.
