She was so nice and her personality is really welcoming and makes you comfortable. Sit in the front and she'll love you! She likes to engage the class in the lesson and doesn't assign a lot of homework. I highly recommend taking her class. I was actually excited to go to class!
Prof. McCoy is a great teacher and a very nice person. She is young and very outgoing so it makes class much more engaging. Likes to involve the class and very organized with power points. If you study the notes and read the text, the tests will come easy.
Prof McCoy is awesome! She is very engaging and interesting to listen to. She mixes the right amount of discussion with lecture, which makes it easy to pay attention and get more out of the class. I definitely recommend taking her. Easily one of the best professors I have ever had.
Prof McCoy is great! Very fair and easy to talk to. She is very outgoing and passionate about what she teaches, which makes her classes very interesting and easy to sit through. I'd recommend her to anyone. One of my favorite professors.
Simply amazing professor, teacher is very realistic and relates todays materials into discussion and lectures. I would take again if possible. This prof shows true dedication to her students development which is hard to find these days. Take her and you will learn a lot more than a boring text book could ever teach you.
As easy as the class is, Professor McCoy often goes on tangents that make no sense, sometimes turning into rants. She is always open to stop class to answer questions, which usually turn into gab fests about nothing meaningful. Ended up teaching myself the material, drifting off into nothingness during class, and winging any assignments presented.
Profesor McCoy is the best. I had her for child psych and have her again now for developmental psych. She has a great personality and loves to laugh and crack jokes. If you have any problems with anything she'll go out of her way to help you. Plus she's really hot so it makes looking at her all class great.
good!
She is an AMAZING teacher. She expects you to do your work so just do it. She gives really easy to do assignments and as long as you put in effort then you should be fine. She loves to talk and makes her class interactive.I would take another class with her.
I absolutely love Professor McCoy! She is amazing and is my favorite professor. Really knows Psych, and has great research to share. She is so fair, and makes the class and assignments fun. She connects so well to students. Im gunna miss her so much, i am going to definetly take a class with her when i can! Amazingg!!!!!!
Easily my favorite prof at bridgewater. Her directions on assignment are so clear some people over-think them. Everything she expects is clearly stated in her syllabus. She is ahhhh-mazing and she's adorable to watch teach, she makes everything interesting.
Excellent professor and amazing person who genuinely wants students to succeed. Reasonable assignments and interesting discussions. Definitely recommend!
Professor McCoy is the best. She is the nicest teacher I have ever had. She really cares about her students and wants everyone to do well. If there is ever a question you have, you can just email her and she will return you very quickly. Read the chapters in the textbook and you will do great!!! Take her =)) 100%%%
Prof McCoy is definitely one of those professors that you would love to take more then once. Not only is she super friendly and makes class interesting but she also caters to her students. She wants everyone to succeed and do well. Honestly if you get the chance, TAKE HER! She makes this class easy and understandable! My favorite teacher at BSU
Professor McCoy is a great professor. She's very feisty and makes an 8:00 am class interesting and engaging. Open note exams. One paper. Little assignments and an optional final
Loved, loved, loved Prof. McCoy. She was sweet and helpful but tough enough to kick you in the butt when you needed it. She doesn't take any crap from students but teaches you life lessons on top of psych lessons. Interesting lectures and open notes exams with an optional final at the end. Do the simple readings, take notes, and enjoy the lecture!
one of the best and most helpful professors i have had. loved her even though it was an 8am. she was spunky and always made you laugh. made me interested in the subject and i would HIGHLY recommend her.
Even though this was a mandatory one credit class I was shocked by how off topic she was. The class was pretty much just her talking about her life experiences and trying to help her students be the best they can be by telling her opinion on everything. She's freakishly energetic!!!! AVOID ON A FRIDAY, it is very boring! Over all super easy.
Prof. McCoy was amazing! She is by far my favorite professor at BSU. She is super helpful and will answer any question you have. She breaks off onto random tangents and tells you about her life, but she's so funny. She truly cares about her material and her students and she wants you to be prepared! Tests/Projects are easy, she helps you prep!
Easy, nice, and funny. Biggest pet peeves are cell phones and people not being able to answer questions from the assigned reading.
Best psych teacher I have ever taken. Absolutely loved this class. She is so down to earth and understanding towards students. allows you to use notes on test. expects you to read but goes through power points and post them online. a few hw assignments but they are not hard and a final paper. I would take her again if I could.
Absolutely love Prof. McCoy ! You will NOT regret taking her class !!
McCoy is easily my favorite professor at BSU. She is really passionate about what she does and helps students feel the same way. Read along with the text and take notes in class and you'll do great. Tests are pretty easy. You won't regret taking her class
TAKE HER TAKE HER TAKE HER ! Prof. McCoy is hands down one of the best teachers i've ever had. She is so passionate about the subject and really cares for her students. if you come to class and pay attention (you will want to with her) then you'll do fine !
THE BEST PROF. AROUND !
Prof. McCoy is the professor that makes you excited to get up and go to class every morning!
TAKE MEGHAN MCCOY IF YOU CAN! She's so kind and really cares about her subject and students! You have to pay attention in class and read to do well though.
She is the absolute best professor I've had at bsu. Her lectures actually make me want to come to class and be active in discussions. If you want a fun class with a really great professor I would suggest taking one of her classes, Especially if you are a psych major. I'm taking one of her classes again!
Really disappointing professor, she missed 6 classes, so if she were a student, she would have failed based on her own attendance policy. When she did show up, there were times where she was absolutely condescending, and not respectful. Perhaps it was the size of the class, but I did not enjoy this class, nor did I learn anything. Avoid if possible
I enjoyed her class but student questions often slowed down lectures so by the end of the semester we had not covered all of the chapters. Great professor and reasonable exams. The final paper was easy but she did not really go over APA guidelines which would have been really helpful. She just needs more practice pacing the class.
I can honestly say that I learned more in one of her classes than in any of my others. She teaches social justice concepts that have real life applications and are SO important to learn. I changed my whole schedule around to take her again in the spring! She's fantastic!
Prof. McCoy was a good lecturer, but she did not show up to many classes and left PALS in charge of us when she should have canceled class. Tests are hard, even with the open notes.
Honestly, If every professor were like Meghan McCoy College would be worth the thousand of dollars we pay. She is a fantastic, enthusiastic and caring Professor who respects her students. She sets high expectations for all. If you come to class and pay attention you will do just fine. Highly recommended!
Great professor! Classes have a good amount of work but are enjoyable and you learn a lot!
She's super cool and really relates to students. Super nice and will help anyone if asked. She's really busy herself so she's understanding that students have other classesa life outside of school.
Professor McCoy was by FAR the BEST professor I've had at BSU. I am a senior here & just transferred and I wish I could have taken her for more classes. She is hysterical and has a young and energetic personality. She is very understanding and is ALWAYS willing to help if you need it. She is unbelievably cool and super sweet!
Although McCoy is very personable, she requires 40 minute outside powerpoint lectures (which are usually around 50 slides) while on top of teaching lectures in class. Often rambles off about nonsense and I often find myself wondering why I even attended the class. Allows open note exams which is helpful IF you read and answer the study guides.
LOVE this woman!! She makes every class exciting. Starts every class with a smile and uplifting spirit, and really bonds with her students. She's just real- she gets it. Will understand if there are circumstances going on in your life and honestly just wants you to get the most out of her classes.
Shes changed her class teaching to online text w weekly quizzes every chapter u have 2 teach ur self(2 hrs/ch she Got rid of quizzes bc of complaints but still need to read)power points which include journal entries, a website to make, exams &wasted classtime thats spent listening 2 ppl ramble pointless stories instead of actually teaching material
Took orientation to psych with McCoy and she was great. Although the class was mostly lectures from other professors or educators at BSU, she always made it a point to ask if anyone had any other questions and she often added her own input into some of the lectures which helped a lot. I love how approachable she is, you can tell she really cares.
This was a lecture class that turned into an online class. The classes were almost pointless to go to. Most of the class is pointless conversation by the students that can go on and on and on. She is also unclear sometimes with assignments, due dates, etc. She definitely has a good personality and is attractive so that's a plus.
Best professor I've ever had. She is not only beautiful on the outside but also on the inside. Best personality ever, knows what she's talking about and is such an easy grader. Would take again like 5 times over. Awesome professor and amazing person! Love herrrr!
LOVE her HATED the class!!! If you've already taken child psych don't bother taking developmental if you want to learn anything new. She takes so much time talking about random things and spends none talking about what your reading about in the book. Basically you read the book, teach yourself the material. The classes are useless.
Very upbeat and funny, but she also really does care about students and wants them to feel comfortable. I think this is an important class for a psych major to take. Does not give tests. Participation is important and you have a presentation. Overall, not a hard way to be graded.
Meghan McCoy genuinely cares about her students. She is such an amazing professor. She gets off topic sometimes, but usually to the student's benefit -- she generally ends up talking about funny things and it's a nice break from lectures. Do not skip her class if you want a good grade! She is an honest grader and an amazing person.
This class was a joke. It was held once a week for 50 minutes and usually consisted of guest speakers from different BSU departments. I literally did no work in this class besides show up. On top of that, Dr. McCoy is the most amazing person alive. She's super nice and extremely helpful. She's great and I would love to take another class with her.
Chill and pretty laid back. Also really pretty. I would take her again.
Great teacher. A bit of work, but this was the best 3 hour lecture I have ever taken. I respect this lady so much and she is so passionate about making all genders/races/religions/cultures, feel accepted.
Nothing bad to say about her. She is a great professor. I had her for orientation for psych. She did not really talk or teach in class but the few times that she did teach or talk it was very good. She is a great, funny, energetic professor.
This class in particular was really easy. I would recommend her for this class 100%. I can't speak to any other classes but I plan to take her again because she was really easy going and wants to see her students succeed. Loved this professor!
great professor, gets off topic but always interesting and will help you out in life. Never gives homework, give only 4 papers. Would highly recommend, very knowledgeable
Cross Cultural Psych was by far my favorite course I have taken in my entire college career. I know that this is definitely because of Dr. Mccoy. She is an absolutely amazing teacher who really cares about her students. I was so sad when this class ended. Participation counts. Presentation at the end. Overall I would take this class and prof again!
Really nice teacher but the class never stayed on topic. Always went on a tangent to something either personal or political not allowing us to learn what was on the syllabus. The tangents reflected own views and was very negative which made me feel uncomfortable. Would rather just learn what's on the syllabus.
Dr. McCoy is a such a great professor. She's funny and her class was very relaxed. It was only a 1 credit course thats meets once a week which means if you miss more than 1 class you won't pass. Other than that the class was great, lots of good resources for all different majors. No homework, no book, just show up.
Professor McCoy is amazing-- take her! She is so bubbly and personable. She lectures, but her material is so interesting. She also gives group projects but they're fun and easy! She lets you use your notes on the exams too which is a plus! She doesn't give any quizzes either. Large milestone project at end, but it's a reflection on your life.
Dr. McCoy is one of the best professors ive had. Cross Cultural is lecture based and she gives us homework assignments that are mostly reflections. So simple. Two major projects: one group and one individual, all due the same night, and then youre done for the semester. She is funny and super smart & not afraid to tell it like it is. Love her!
I loved this class. Dr. McCoy makes the class enjoyable to go to. She is funny and very personable. You will hear a lot about the food she likes, her dog, and her travel experiences. She is funny and upbeat. She is hands down the best professor I have had in 4 years of college. I would HIGHLY recommend taking her if you have the option.
One of the best professors at BSU ! The course was amazing would definitely recommend!
One of the best professors at BSU ! The course was amazing would definitely recommend! interesting discussions
Mccoy is very nice and understanding. She is very educated and has taught me so much ! She is personable and kind .. I have learned more about culture then any book could have taught me. She is very sweet and if you have a problem you can talk to her about anything. She is bubbly and upbeat and I would recommend this professor to anyone :)
Very simple online class that I took over the summer. Just a few short papers. Overall an easy A if you do the work.
Meghan McCoy is one of the greatest professors I have ever taken. She is hilarious but also very caring. If you don't mind a few tangents now and then you will love her. She takes a cultural approach to her Developmental class and it is definitely eye opening. On tests she allows one page both sides of notes. I'm defiantly taking her again.
Prof. McCoy is a tough teacher, but I highly recommend. She cares about her students successes, and it is a tough class to teach but she tries her best to cover all of the information you need.
Dr. McCoy is great-- she's very funny, very personable, and very knowledgeable. The workload in this class isn't super heavy, but there is a fair amount of reading (you have to read to pass the exams). She lets you have a page of notes when you take the exams, and there's no cumulative final. Definitely take a class with her if you get the chance.
Great professor but you really have to read the textbook if you want to pass. I did not enjoy the fact that most of the class was spent on discussions instead of the powerpoint but she said at the beginning that she gets off topic.
So kind! She swears in class and gets off topic easily, so beware if you don't like that. She does warn you in the beginning though. Reading the text is necessary to pass. There is no cumulative final. Reading quizzes on every chapter, and almost weekly homework assignments. Very interesting and caring professor. Definitely, recommend!!!
Since it's an online course, I never met with Prof. Mccoy face to face. However, any time I had a problem that wasn't answered in the syllabus, she responded in a timely manner and was willing to help fix the issue. Take her online class if you like learning at your own pace, and like taking class from wherever you are.
McCoy was an absolute dream to have as a teacher and I plan on taking her again when I can. She is a lot of fun and has what she refers to as dangly key syndrome which causes her to go on to very fun rants sometimes. By far best teacher Ive had.
BEST PROF AT BSU!!! she is amazing. Her class is so fun and interesting. She gives you the book online, no tests, just a project, paper, and discussion questions. This is the first time i had a class that i actually wanted to go to and never skipped. Taking her again when i can !!
Professor McCoy is truly one of the best professors I have ever had! She truly cares about her students and she is hilarious, caring, and super nice. You have four tests, a couple of easy essays, and easy homework. Read your book so that you know what is going on, it helps with tests! Her powerpoints and lectures are great. She is a true gem!
Homework assignments were usually interesting, quizzes and exams are take home. She says her quizzes and exams require deep understanding of content, while this might be true a large majority of answers can be found on Quizlet. She is very-very liberal, and lectures are only so-so in terms of quality.
Dr. McCoy is one of the kindest and most caring professors I've ever had the pleasure of having. If you participate in class you will form a great relationship with her. The lectures are easy to follow and she explains things well. If you do the reading and pay attention in class, you will do well. Strongly recommend.
One of the best professors I have ever had, highly recomend taking any class with her!
The best college professor I've ever had! Highly recommend.
I really enjoyed Dr. McCoy's class. I found the material very interesting and I enjoyed learning in her class.
Honestly the best Professor I've had so far. Makes class incredibly interesting and was honestly a big reason I changed my major to Psych. Super caring, funny and engaging. Do the work and pay attention and you will really enjoy. 10/10 recommend.
She always cracks jokes and gets personal but you can easily develop a good relationship with her. She is an outstanding teacher, mentor, and supporter. She gives straight forward lectures and provides study guides. Each exam, she allows you to bring a sheet of paper front and back for notes, and the final isnt cumulative! One of the best teachers
I took her online class. Weekly reading and a chapter quiz for the end of the week. Occasional paper, and other projects. No midterm or final test. Read the book and you'll be fine.
She's awesome. At first I wasn't a huge fan, but in hindsight, she's great. Enjoyable homework assignments, quizzes and exams can be found on Quizlet, and overall an interesting course. One major thing, I only opened the textbook she whole-heartedly required a few times. So that was a downer, but overall great choice for the class. Highly recommend
Dr. MCCoy is AMAZING!! She is so funny , kind, and always cracks some jokes just about every class! Really passionate about the subject and she has a great personality! I never missed a class with her. Everything is application based which I struggled with. Participation matters as well and exams can be difficult, but you will learn a lot! Take her
Dr McCoy is by far one of the best professors Ive had at this school. She does genuinely care about her students and brings her own interesting perspective and energy to class everyday. You do have to work a little to get the grade you would like, but it is worth it as she will not sit there and let you fail. I definitely would take her class again
Her online class for PSY230 made me very anxious. Her time limit on quizzes is not preferred, shes very precise on her grading so if you dont do it as is, prepare to get a low grade. Due to her quiz times being very short, my quiz grades were low due to me worried about time and not focusing on reading through the answers for the questions.
Her timed test were very stressful. At the end of the semester she let us choose to not do the last 2 homeworks or use them to make up for 2 bad grades on a previous homework but yet we had to guess what homework we did bad on since she didnt grade anything all semester. Homework felt like busy work rather than helpful learning material.
Best professor for any Psyc course you want to take. Super understanding, relatable and guiding life talks, and is understanding under the right circumstances (do not take advantage of her help, because she gives many opportunities for you to earn your grade!!- Extra credit, less than 1 absence you get more credits.) READ HER SYLLABUS&USE AN AGENDA
McCoy was not that pleasurable to have an entire semester with. I signed up for an ONLINE class with her and she made zoom meetings mandatory. She also is a very tough grader with shortly timed quizzes. They are VERY stressful. Her powerpoints were not helpful. Its like she does not want you to succeed.
I had prof mccoy previously and loved her, then I took an online class with her and made me regret it. If you do not do the assignment EXACTLY HOW SHE WANTS IT, you get a 0, not credit for effort even if you did the best you could. Her assignments can be super hard, even for a 200 level class
I love Professor McCoy as a person, but not so much as an educator. She's very humorous and fun. However, she is quite disorganized, and the readings and assignments are heavy. Lectures are posted online, so the (mandatory) Zoom meetings are primarily based on class discussion, which I feel is unnecessary and wasteful for a synchronous course.
Professor McCoy is hilarious and her lectures are really interesting. There is a good amount of material each week but its very interesting so its not hard to get through. There are no exams or quizzes, just weekly discussion posts or questions and an article review assignment. She teaches with a social justice lens, take her!!
PLEASE DONT LET THESE BAD REVIEWS SCARE YOU OFF!!! Absolute best psych professor at BSU. She's so relatable and easy to get along with. The only class I'm ever excited about going to. The only thing is that she is not an easy A. I wouldn't say she's hard but you can't show up and pass. But, there really isn't a lot of work. TAKE HER!!!!!!
Dr. McCoy is one of the best professors I have taken at Bridgewater State. She is extremely personable and makes even Zoom calls less dreaded. If you put in the effort, you'll get a good grade. Her goal is clearly for her students to understand the material rather than just memorize it. I cannot recommend her enough.
I think that Dr. McCoy is awesome, she really just wants to make sure that you understand the material rather than just get it out of a textbook, the Zoom calls were actually quite useful and informative. I just found the formatting of her assignments confusing but if you keep up with them, then you'll do fine.
Professor McCoy is probably the best professor I have had at BSU. She is truly a caring and understanding person. Her classes dont feel like class they feel like a community. She is there for you when you are struggling and she wants you to succeed. I am so grateful that I have had the opportunity to take a class with her not once but twice.
AMAZING PROF!! cares so much about the students, willing to do anything to help you.
I love Dr. McCoy. She's so real and down to earth and makes class interesting. The book wasn't necessary, but participation is. You have to keep your webcam on the whole time and there's a lot of group work. She really cares about you personally and your grade.
This class changed my outlook on life. McCoy is such an amazing person. She is outgoing and her classes feel more like I am having a discussion with friends. This class had a good mix of funny moments but also keeps more heart heavy topics more serious. The syllabus is super intimidating but just keep track of due dates and participate.
Dr. McCoy means well but I definitely do not recommend taking her for an online class. You will get a 4 point assignment that has 5 questions with 4 parts in each, and even if you complete it with lots of effort and answer completely you wont get full credit. Hard to manage this class while taking 5 others it is too overbearing.
Awesome professor, really really cares about the wellbeing of her students. However, a little unorganized, can be a tough grader about certain things, and was confusing about whether or not we had assignments. Queen tho.
Dr. McCoy was such a nice professor! She truly cares for you and your wellbeing, and the class is a great learning experience!! The class is based more around discussions than it is textbook lessons, so participation is important. A little disorganized at times, but this was the first time this professor taught the class. It's a class worth taking.
McCoy is one of the best professors I've had! She is so nice and funny and really makes class so enjoyable. Most class time is used having discussions about real-life things which is really engaging. Every week there are two homework assignments (usually one super quick one and one that takes a little longer) and lecture videos online to watch.
She juggled having two kids who got sick a lot throughout the semester so at times she became behind in grading; however, if you emailed her addressing concerns about where your grade is at, she would go through and grade your work to ease stress. Overall, a really caring professor. Make sure to read her syllabus! Lots of information is in there!
She is very easy to talk to and overall an amazing human being! But wow, this was by far one of the most disorganized professors I have ever dealt with. The worst part is, that she lets her students suffer from her mistakes, and there were a lot of them. also HOLY WORK!
So McCoy is an amazing human being, one of the sweetest professors here at BSU.The only thing is that she two of kids that are pretty young, so grading took quite a bit of time. It bothered a lot of people.I reached out and asked if she could take the time to grade mine and she did. So just send her an email and she will take care of it.
Had to watch lectures at home, along w a consistent/heavy workload. This was hard bc I have trouble focusing outside of class & am busy w other classes & a job. Slides weren't detailed, so information was mainly verbal. Due dates & postings on BB were inconsistent & random. Overall, I loved her & enjoyed the class, but the structure wasn't for me.
It was an in-person course, but we had to watch lectures on our own, so class time felt wasted. This made it very overwhelming, as on top of lectures, she assigned A LOT of work. She posted lectures & work randomly, & didn't stick to due dates. She also was behind with grading & we were all understanding, but us students can't slack. It was chaotic
While I thought the MARC program would be a rewarding experience, Prof. Englander and Professor McCoy let me down by not adhering to the grading guidelines they developed themselves. While I did enjoy meeting with students and the subject matter of the course, I would not take again or recommend Prof. Englander or Professor McCoy again.
She's extremely unorganized and her lessons are hard to follow. It was a flipped classroom which just added to the stress of being a college student. Hard to follow when assignments are due.
I hated this class so much. The forcing of political views was very high and made me dread doing the work. Grades fairly though, but homework can take some time to complete due to videos, articles, and posted lectures. Was an easy online class to take but I am glad it is over.
Don't take this class if you're looking for an easy A. But if you're willing to put in some work, this class is so amazing. Dr. McCoy is so funny and caring. she assigns a lot of out of class work, but I genuinely learned so much from this class. Class is so engaging, mostly discussions. She makes it so low-stress though, I always enjoyed class.
It's cultural pysch so obviously political views from everyone will be shared (because it plays a role in who we are, how we view things, etc. It's not a must). The class does get repetitive. You might have to watch lectures on your own time to understand what will go on in class, but if you are an open minded person, you'll understand.
Her lectures and slides were helpful & informative & her assignments were straight to the point with what she wanted. She responds to emails in a timely manner and is available to help students with whatever they need. She was very kind but also strict in knowing what she wanted done from us. Reach out to her with any help you need.
Do not take her. Yes she is nice but she is an awful prof. She will not grade a thing. Talks all class about her own life. You have to teach yourself. Tests have material she never mentions. I took her because of good ratings and I regret it. You will have no idea how you are doing grade wise and she will spend 45 minutes talking about kids&husband
By far the BEST professor at BSU. She was behind on grading, but gave us opportunities to fix our grades due to this. There is a lot of lecture it is VERY inserting and she mixes in her personal life as well to make sure its not just slide after slide. There is also lots of discussion in groups in class. We only have one brief assignment a week.
She is a very fun and laid-back professor. Her one flaw is that she doesn't grade a thing. There were about 3 times she said she would but never did. Very funny and uses personal experience to help explain things. Hard exams (all online) but easy homework
Professor McCoy is an incredible human being. She is insightful and knows what she is talking about. She tends to fall behind on grading quickly and rarely provides feedback. Her lectures are informative and her assignments are easy to follow.
Didn't grade anything until the last week, totally inaccessible outside of class, spends the entirety of the class talking about her personal life instead of actual content, and posts all assignments late if at all. Only pro is that she seems to care about the students as people, but definitely doesn't care about their academics
I disliked her lectures and personality. She gave a lot of HW. She kept class to the very last minute and sometimes over. Her personality is that of a high school teacher who is really trying to be cool by swearing and being buddy-buddy with students. It rubbed me the wrong way. This was her first time teaching this class in person.
Dr. McCoy is such a fun professor. She will treat you like a friend, not a student. This is great and her personality is so fun and awesome, however she grades things very slowly. This is the only thing I am worried about, as the semester is coming to an end and there are still multiple assignments ungraded. Other than that she is a great professor
I loved Dr. McCoy as I've taken her multiple times, this semester was beyond rough though. It's taken her months to get assignments in and expects her assignments on time without failure, yes she has oops tokens and will remove an assignment or two because of the class being behind. She's never really been on top of it but this was plain anxiety
Summer class- Prof McCoy was very nice, and the classwork wasn't difficult it was just very confusing. We did an infographic project; it would have been extremely helpful if we had an example which she did not provide. Her directions are also sometimes difficult to follow. I think she would be better as an in-person semester-long professor.
Dr. McCoy is a fun and engaging professor, though she can be slow to grade. Lectures are informative, with plenty of discussion. Use Unstuckstudy and the free textbook to supplement - this class requires work, but it's worth it for the insights.
Do NOT take her! Not accessible at all. Very unorganized and did not follow syllabus. The entire class is based on community service, and it's extremely hard for her to accept your idea. She's very strict on deadlines, but doesn't answer emails pertaining to assignments, so it's hard to submit in time. I'm not the only one that felt this way.
Not accessible AT ALL. Tough grader. Tough on deadlines, but does not answer emails pertaining to assignments, so it's hard to submit on time. The entire class is focused on community service, but she's tough on approving your site, and doesn't give any help on picking your site, until after it's due. Please do yourself a favor and do not take her.
Dr. McCoy is a refreshing sort of professor. She is genuine and filled with knowledge that she shares with her students with passion. She knows what she's talking about and is very open to all perspectives. As an older college student, I am thrilled to know that individuals such as her are lecturing to today's student body.
McCoy was fantastic, the best prof I've had in the psych department at BSU yet. She teaches efficiently and pulls from her own life for examples in class. Always a rich dialogue in class and always there for support whether it school related or just life. If you have the opportunity take a class with her, you will not regret it.
Hard to reach outside of class, really no clear feedback on big assignments because its graded with a rubric. Behind on grading for a majority of the semester up until the last three weeks. Never received a rubric for final exam. Emails were barely responded to. Nice prof and great lectures so you learn but projects you're on your own completely.
