Great guy, He wants to help his students. He is very helpful. Yes, he grades hard but that's for making WSU a better place. He is challenging and makes sure everybody learns something from his class.

Good professor. I took his presession class and he gave the class a lot of bonuses. The class average that time is at the border of B and C.

He requires lots of work. However, teaches clear, grades fast, gives lots of extra credit. Lets you choose your own grading weights which is cool... Definitely a must take course for IEs

Good teacher. Difficult class. Be prepared to work. It is very possible to get an A in this class, but you have to work hard. He offers grades at the end of the course. If you accept his offer you do not have to take the final exam.

Does a good job of explaining the material though he can be a little fast at times, even for a presession. Fair grader all around, doesn't destroy your grade for simple mistakes. All around I'd say he's a pretty good professor.

Great Teacher! I had him for the summer presession and although I am not interested in the subject, he made the class pretty interesting.

There were some misunderstandings with one of the assignments turned in. However he tried to be as reasonable as possible and gave me a good letter grade... Even though it could have been higher however I am not complaining...

I took the engineering economy pre-session and although the subject was new to me and the class moved at an extremely fast pace, he took the time to explain things very well and repeatedly told students to be proactive and not just take notes. Highly recommend!!

Dr. Yildrim is very clear and precise about what he expects. You do have to come to class on time and be prepared, but he gives plenty of examples, answers any questions, and prepares students well for tests.

Condensed class is challenging, fair teacher but expect to work alot and study because there is alot of material covered and may be new to most students.

If you do not mind working hard you will do well on the test and receive a good grade. If you are lazy and you do not want to come to class or do any homework you will not be able to keep up. It is not Dr. Yildirim's fault so do not blame him. He does everything necessary to achieve a good grade.

Work hard, this guy is no joke, he is hardass but knows his subject very well and is willing to help in clearing your concepts. approachable and friendly. Your grade depends on your commitment

Lays out everything he expects from day one. Attendance and a good work ethic. Trust me, DO NOT slack off in this class. It is one of the easiest classes you'll ever take but if you fall behind it gets ugly. Yildirim is very approachable and nice. Always has clear explanations and gives students plenty of resources for studying tests/quizzes.Great!

Take class with him. You need to study a lot since there are many stuffs to cover. If he let you vote for final, don't choose take home neither multiple choice.

Dr. Yildirim is very concerned with the performance of his class. He tries his very best to make the concepts clear in his teaching. Make sure you do not fall behind, or you will regret it. He prepares you well for exams and quizzes but you must spend time working the recommended problems and practice exams. Study hard and you will be fine.

be prepared to work/study hard. Dr. yildirim covers alot of material and difficult material at that. however he provides many study aids, you can even review/watch lecture @ home on panopto video. you won't leave this class w/o learning something. you will do well as long as you can prove you understand a portion of the material.

Hybrid class. He is very smart and conducts the class his way.. No exceptions. The class starts out very tough, but after he weeds several "weaklings" out, he'll start to curve depending on how the class is doing. He outlines, explains material very well and the online lectures are great.. Not long and can be watched any time.

Took this as a presession and it was definitely fast as expected but the material was not too complex. Make sure to understand all the proper steps and he usually grades giving partial. Focus on first few chapters for a strong foundation, Good luck

DrY taught 5 hrs/day class over 9 days: 2 exams and a final; 6 quizzes. Plenty of extra points opportunities. Be ready to work hard-you will do well.

Dr Yildirim is a good professor. He is graded by a few things which are quizzes, test 1, test 2 and finals. I took this class in the summer pre-session and I really like the class because Dr Yildirim tries to make the class more interesting although it is a tough class. Don't skip class if you want good grades for this course. Good luck!

Dr. Yildrim is an excellent instructor. If you have the option, take the condensed class in the summer. Its a rough two weeks, but you retain the information easier. He offers lots of extra credit opportunities so if you take advantage of these, you will have to try to fail the course. Answers questions thoroughly and does lots of practice problem

Dr. Yildirim is a great professor I highly recommend taking the presession if you want to get the class out of the way, best way to spend 2 weeks rather than 16 weeks in the class. His study guides and example problems are very close to what the actual test will be.

I recommend taking the summer pre-session class. If you take the pre-session you should study/practice everyday, and ask for help when struggling. it's not an easy subject, so make sure you're only focusing on it during the 9 days. Take advantage of ALL the extra credit, go to EVERY class, and you should do well. Dr. Yildirim is a great instructor.

He upload a videos of his lectures that you can use in case you missed a class. However, I took it in a pre-session which was kind of hard little bed. The instructor was very excellent in explaining the materials but you have to practice to get a good grade.

I took Engineering Economy in the summer 2017 presession with Dr. Yildirim. I would suggest you do the same. 2 weeks, extra credit, but lots of information. Make sure you are ready to dedicate those 2 weeks to ONLY this class. Dont miss a day or you will struggle as one class is basically a week and a half of regular classes.

Took this course during summer presession, the class material is very simple, but a lot of work, there is extra credit, drops lowest quiz and is very willing to help students understand material

Dr. Yildirim is a great professor, if you have the chance, take the pre-fall class. Attend class and do your best. He responds fully to every question and truly wants to help you get the material and help you pass.

He is friendly but his tests can be a bit hard. There are quizzes but they are helpful to use as study material.

This class is one of the only classes I learned a lot of helpful concepts in and can also relate to my work-life. The class can get long but Dr. yildirim keeps it interesting and very engaging. There is a lot of reading involved but as long as you do the homework you will get a good grade!

Dr. Yildirim is an incredible professor that cares deeply about your understanding of the material and your success in the class! I took the online winter pre-session but still met face-to-face with Dr. Yildirim many times throughout the course.

I took this class as a pres-session class, and it is in your best interest to put in 6 hours a day. He made all the materials available a month before class started, so it was definitely possible to get it all done. He even answered questions at 11 PM on a weekend. You put in what you get out. He is willing to always help.

Tried to take this class in 2019 (with a different professor), but it made zero sense, and I ended up withdrawing from it. So, I was really nervous to take this class. Dr. Yildirim is very kind and helpful, though. He made it MUCH better. This class can be difficult if you do not put in the effort, but Dr. Yildirim had it laid out great.

workload was perfect to be able to learn all the topics in the class while being able to gear my focus towards more demanding classes. Didn't have to sit down for hours each day to get the material for this one class done, was able to distribute my time more efficiency because of the setup.

Not a fan of the teaching style. But it was fully asynchronous. There is a lot of homework, a lot of material in general. If you at least have a basic understanding of it and can work the exam study guide you will do fine. That said this is NOT and econ class, its finance. If you are and engineer you will hate it, but its required.

This professor is very organized and clear. He answers emails quickly regarding any questions about the class. He is very clear in his teaching and very understandable.

The workload is overwhelming, with a plethora of homework assignments and three exams that carry a significant weight in the final grade. Despite the pressure, the teacher often implements a grading curve to boost the scores of students who may not have performed as well on the exams.

I took Engineering Economy Online and the material was mostly taught by the book. He would cover examples of problems but you usually would have to read the book to understand where to start. His exams were tricky, but he allows cheat sheets and curves the grade so it's not impossible to pass them. He also has a great late work policy.

This online class was very straightforward and super accessible. Being a working student, it is nice to be able to do class work at pretty much any hour of the day and have all of the information still accessible. The use of TAs is nice as it allows us students to have a more broad ability to get access to information that a TA or professor has.

Used Connect for homework. New module every week. Provided the answers to every homework problem in a doc at the beginning of semester. Cheat sheet on tests. 3 tests, no cumulative final. Does video review for exams, problems are very similar to test. He's a nice guy. Curved a test because of a low average.

He is good and flexible. If you study hard only he will give good score.

Took this course online because it was the only choice left but either way I had a great experience. You have to keep with due dates in order not to fall behind but the Professor Yildirim is very understanding and gives many opportunities for the students to pass this class.

Online class consisted of a textbook, Harvard Business case and article reading, discussion board posts, a group project, and final exam. Usually very responsive in responding to emails. Wants you to respond using all of the concepts you learned so far, can be very challenging. Very accessible. Curved the final grades.

Professor is helpful and quick to respond to emails even outside of school hours. His lectures are fairly entertaining imo, and he's a lenient grader and provides a ton of resources to learn the content. That said, this course is a TON of work compared to any course I have taken, even if the difficulty isn't that bad. Online textbook required :/

Lots of homework as a summer 2-week condensed course. Almost a letter grade of extra credit. Online textbook/homework is basically participation since you can keep retrying. Concepts on study guide will be on tests. Lecture videos could be made better, but are helpful. Overall, fair class if you have the time and effort. 8/10 would take again.

Really fast-paced class and homework was assigned everyday, online through Connect, but that's to be expected for a 2-week course so nothing to complain about if you manage your time well. Grades leniently for the exams, TA even gives an extra 10-15 minutes to finish. Fair extra credit opportunities. Hard course but wants students to succeed.

This is a precession class so be ready to study 2 chapters per day. Dr. Yildirim is a kind professor and he cares about the success of students. His lectures definitely help you to study the materials and he also has a review session to go over the study guide which is similar to the test. Keep practicing to get yourself familiar with the problems

The professor provided an organized environment, and everything needed to learn the material was there. The class objectives were clear, and the professor was quick to respond to all of my emails. The tests were difficult, but the partial credit was helpful. Since this was a presession class, the workload was very high.

I took IME255 as a two-week summer class. The course material was not that difficult, but the class was fast-paced (about two chapters per day). The course was all online except for three in-person tests which could also be taken at a nearby testing center. There are plenty of extra credit opportunities, and the professor wants students to succeed.

Given that this was a 2 week precession course, the workload was not surprising. There were 14 total homework assignments, along with 3 exam study guides. Plenty of extra credit to make up for lost points. Exams and homework are graded pretty leniently, so as long as you understand the fundamentals and how to do the study guides, you should be fine

This was a wonderful class for only being 2 weeks. The instructor made it very clear from the beginning what you would need in terms of percentages for tests and homework to pass. There were plenty of homework assignments, but only 3 tests (Each 25% of the grade so study up). There was around ~10% worth of extra credit to help boost your grade.

The homework and the material isn't hard as the resources provided by the teacher can help you get through them. However, the grading structure is poorly skewed towards tests. You are given 3 tests. Each test is worth 25% of your grade and they are only 5 questions each. There are no test corrections. Good luck.

The professor was quite easy to go with. Had only 3 exam which was great but you have to study otherwise nobody is gonna help you in exam

Professor provided alot of online training videos that would help you with homework assignments and test. Was a class that you could easily complete as long as you did the Homework and understood it what was being taught.

I took this class online, there were a lot of videos explaining exactly what we were supposed to do. So as a college student, I of course watched none of them. He holds a review before every test. Make sure you attend it, ask questions, and understand the homework. You'll pass. Great teacher, great person. I'll be looking for him in future classes

I took this class online. This professor was very helpful with his reviews before each exam. Be sure to attend these review and ask questions. Also, he allows a 1 cheat sheet for the exams and that helps a ton. Be sure that you understand the homework in order to be ready for exams.

Honestly really great professor. A ton of opportunities to do very well in this class, you just have to take advantage of them and put in the work w/ the homework and the exams and you will do very well.

I took this class in person but I have seen his lectures for the online class (if you are taking it in person, you will not have access to his videos. I personally recommend to take it online). You get 5 points Bonus for each exam for doing a cheat sheet and the exam is similar to his exercises. Overall I would say it is easy class not even hard.

Exams are like 75% off your grade so make sure you understand the material and he does a study guide that is somewhat similar to the exam but do not rely off of the to get a good grade. He also gives extra credit and wants his students to do well in his class.

He always has something funny and personal to share. His lecture style for the fundamental chapters is well-paced and has plenty of in-class examples ensuring students succeed in chapters reliant on previous information.

I took it online. Homework had unlimited attempts at checking your answer which is helpful and forgiving. Graded tests fairly/ but they were not easy. He is very understanding and probably your best option for Engineering Econ. Gave extra credit opportunities and let you make a 2 sided formula/example sheet for each exam.

I took his economy class, I would say it was pretty easy. He provides videos explaining each chapter and has a sample questions with answers that really help with the homework. The material is a little heavy but He is very good with his email so reach out and ask questions.

Lots of homework for this course. I got behind the first time I took this course due to a surgery and had to withdraw. This time around, I am staying on pace and doing well. Actually taught by an assistant in person this year, but has all of the backup lecture videos and notes Professor Yildirim had for the online versions I attempted previously.

Anytime I had questions he would respond within 30 minutes to my email. Online class is one homework assignment per week and the solutions are provided. You need to make sure you watch online lectures and material to ensure you understand the concepts. Overall good professor.

The professor solves the problem in a very simple way to make it understandable and instructive, and his midterm guides helps a lot to practice for the exam. Very flexible in terms of taking the exam either with the class time or the online class time, which helped me to practice the exam more. Great professor, and a good course to take.

First unit of this class is very confusing, but Dr. Yildirim is helpful. He's accessible, but you need to email him through your WSU email with an "IME 255" subject line. The upcoming units are not as bad, but the tests were a bit difficult. However, Dr. Yildirim is understanding and gives a lot of partial credit plus extra credit for a cheat sheet

This professor does a good job giving the tools needed for success. There is a lot of commitment that comes with this course, but Dr Yildirim provides ample opportunity for success.

He's a very fast responder. He encourages you to reach out when you have a question. There's unlimited tries on the online homework, which is very helpful so you don't get punished for not understanding it. Lectures are very helpful and similar to the homework. If you put in the work to understand the homework, you will do fine on the exams.

He's really good about giving opportunities to redo homework for full credit. There's also a decent amount of opportunities for extra credit. I'd say the real kicker here is the tests. Truly makes you think a lot but he gives cheat sheets and does exam reviews.

Make sure to attend lectures, attendance matters. Homework is very time consuming with having to do online/written homework. It's the same problems for the homework no matter what, you just have to do an online portion and a written portion. Studying for exams is made easy, they post solutions to the study guide on Blackboard for every exam!

He gives you so many tools along with the assigned homework to learn and practice the material. Your grade really depends on how much of it you want to cover. He is also a gracious grader and usually curves the big tests.
