Excellent teacher. He explains the material clearly, he answers questions in detail, and he works hard to make sure that you are learning. But he also expects you to work hard. There is a generous amount of homework, and you will never get let out of class early. If you want to learn Algebra, or need to understand it as a prereq, take this class.

Awesome teacher! He is very understanding and always willing to help. All of the homework is online and there are only 2 tests total including the final. Although he is a great professor, I do not recommend taking this class early in the morning, he can get a little boring at times.

He is a very hard working professor and expects the same from you. The result is that you get to learn the material extremely well as well as learn some basic life skills. Wonderful teacher and human being overall. I recommend his classes to any serious student.

Wonderful person and professor. Math 118 was actually enjoyable and pretty easy to learn. He responds to emails quickly and is great at answering questions in order to help you understand. Is willing to meet with you for some tutoring. All in all I definitely would like to have him as my professor in my other Math classes.

He is the best professor I have ever had in my life. The only Math and Science instructor that makes the material so enjoyable and interesting. I really enjoyed his classes and always looked forward to attending the lectures.

I took College Algebra with him this past semester, and he was great at teaching it! This was the second time I took a class with him and If I had the chance to take all the college courses with Dr. Zarandi I would!!! HE IS AMAIZING!!! You will end up loving his style; I guarantee it!

If you want to understand the fundamentals of Calculus you should take his class. He is really good. Explanations are in details. Be patient and keep doing your homework. You will do just fine.

Everyone at ivytech should learn his teaching methodology and teaching philosophy. So many professors have no idea of how to teach and make students mentally suffer. Very few professors are as capable and caring as Dr. Zarandi. We need more professors like him to teach. Best dressed also.
