She is one of the most sweetest and understanding professors! i would have failed if not for her! b4, i hated math, but now, i can actually understand it. if u suck in math, this is the professor who can help u and make sure u understand it, she doesn't give up on a student and will help you out as much as she can, we need more professors like her!

She is simply the best. She will go over something until you absolutley understand it. She is very smart and has a lot of knowledge in this field. Her reviews are basically the test. Good teacher but she is always late to class and it can be annoying. Tests are 75% of your grade, I was upset when i got a C when my test averages were a B. Had her for Contemp Math. AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME. All we did in class everyday was laugh and joke in the back of the room, and it ruled. She's funny, and she let us have fun as long as we didnt get out of control. Got an A, she's funny, smart, cute, and helpful. I'm AWFUL at math, and this was the first math course i understood. I LOVE YOU PROF!

Good class. If you do the homework then you will get A's on the exams. She gives extra credit which isn't too bad. She's also really hot.

She never really collected homework with us. She'd give us time in class to do it. The tests were easy and if we made a mistake she'd give it back to us, and help us with it at times. If you don't understand anything, don't be shy because she'll repeat it again until you learn it. She's amazing and awesome. My friend and I loved her so much! <3!

Shes everything that everyone said , really nice and funny. she knows what shes teaching and shes there for you. i am so glad i took her. if you get the chance to take her do it because her classes fill up super fast!

Walker is probably one of the best professors to take for math. She does NOT go by objectives, she takes the time to explain everything, gives out homework but it's easy. I got a C, but that's only because math is not my strong point.

She is a really nice lady but she could really be mean if you dont get the material or if you know too much. So watch out cause she wil belittle you, but over all its easy and she is a good teacher. Im getting an A and i failed ywice before this.

Great professor. Go to class, get extra help if you need it and you'll do fine. I stink in Math and I got a B+! She's always there for extra help as well as go to the Math lab. Easy to understand and a great sense of humor. Take her and enjoy the class!

She has an attitude and can be very mean! She is also usually late.. but don't you be late or she will flip out! She teacher REALLY good though. If you do what she asks.. you'll pass. But you need to study for her tests

I currently am in Dr. Uzoka-Walker's class for the 2nd time. You have to be careful what you read on here because there are 2 Prof. Walker's that teach Math at BCC. The one is the head of the department which is the one that's supposedly horrible. Dr. Uzoka-Walker is awesome and helpful. Don't get the 2 confused.

I think prof. walker is a great teacher. she may come across rude to some students but i dont think it is intentional. she takes her time explaining everything we are learning. very little homework. she may be late to class sometimes but hey, there traffic.

dont listen to those people that r saying things. she is a good teacher, yes she does come late but when she get to class u learn alot. plus the test r the same thing on what she is teaching u. just listen to what she teaching and u would be good. plus for all u guys that dont like math. well, u would because she is cool, and hot....lol for real.

seemed fair to me. goes over any questions asked, gives packets and online reviews for every test, even offered to come in before final to review w. students. keep in mind if your taking a required algebra it will be fast no matter what. they have to cover required material. overall i liked her. wish i could take her again

She is so nice to all students and wants you to succeed in her class. She always has office hours that you can go to for extra help. I've had her for 3 semesters in a row and I refuse to take anybody else. If she has an opening in one of her classes, TAKE IT! You won't regret it.

She is such a great professor ! She cares about her students and if you need help shes right there !! Very easy class if you do the work, otherwise your not going to pass/finish. Take her self paced class its great :)

Professor Walker seems to get extremely furious when a students do not take the course more seriusly. She does not like any of her students to get so behind with their work. She makes sure that every of her students get the support what they really need and take control of theirselves. She seems to have an hard exterior personality.

Professor Walker seems to be an understanding about other students needs. She seems to be clear when explaining the process and concepts of how to perform math problems. Students get anxious when they are asked to participate. However she may be narrow minded at times, but she is a okay professor!

I took this class online and she is very considerate and concerned with her students. She emailed me on how great I was doing and always offered help. She understands we all have lives outside of school and gives an extension to finish her course as long as you take 3 out of 4 tests on time. Taking her again online this semester. I recommend her.

She is really helpful and nice. She goes the extra mile to help you. Only 4 tests and hw assignments and gives extra credit. She is really enthusiastic and it was a pleasure to be in her class. I already took this class and dropped it because i had a terrible experience but Walker is great and i highly recommend her if you're struggling in math.

Prof. Walker is very sweet and a chill person. I would definitely take her again for any other math class I have to take. She will help you out whenever you need help. She loves her job. Also, you must attend to her class in order for you to pass.

Ms Walker made it easy for a student like me to learn a subject I despised and failed several times. B4 I took her class. She's extended her time by holding classes just for reviews for any individuals you needs and want help prior to the test.. And She comes 2hrs early for finals for those individuals who needs extra time so they are not rushed

I took her for MAT 130 and it was the easiest math class I've ever taken in my life. I've never been particularly good at math, so I was worried, especially since the lessons are taught to you through the Pearson Online math. She explains everything in a way you'll understand. Just make sure you keep up with the assignments and you'll have an A

Professor Walker was one of my favorite professors at BCC. She was extremely helpful and supportive especially to one such as me who struggles in math. She didn't just have a impact on me with the class but as a person well. If you have the chance please take this professor! I highly recommend her all the way. She is a true mentor just as well.

The old comments talking about how she was "the worst" is inaccurate. Professor Walker is one of the most caring and helpful teachers. Her teaching was easy to follow, and albeit it was a lot of work, was always there for her students. She'd also give healthy snacks during her test review. One of the best math teachers I ever had in my life.

Professor Walker always makes sure that everyone is following and understanding what she's explaining and is also happy to answer questions. She cares alot about how her students are doing in the class and has office hours where students can get extra help. There's a lot of graded homework, 3 tests and a final.

very nice professor. Responds to email quickly. Online course consist to watch the video lecture and do the HW review. HW review consist of at least 10 to 25 question depending on the topic. at least 5 module that consist of 4 to 5 section. 5 exam and a department final (required ) u need a 55 or better to pass the final. Easy. This was for MAT-40

Very straightforward. Just do the work as instructed and youll pass. Also answers emails fairly quickly. This class was very smooth and the workload isnt too heavy.

Easiest math class ever. All you have to do is the assignments on the math lab and they literally take AT MOST 45 minutes. So easy and clear if you do the work on time and print out the notes, plus you can retake the homework/quizzes/tests however many times you need. If you need easy math credits, take this course & professor.

Easiest math course you'll take in your entire life. Just have to do homework often as well as exams at due dates but it is all extremely easy.

Such a fantastic professor, she really cares for her students, I accidentally took the wrong course and she really helped me out with getting it fixed, then she put me in her class and it was so easy, anytime you have a problem she will come over and work with you. I took Prof. Walker for a month and a half class for Algebra, and she's literally the best. Really helpful with test corrections and genuinely wants students to succeed. I took this professor for a remote class. She is clear and to the point. She provided a detailed syllabus with the entire course layout, and she allows you to work at your own pace. There are deadlines, but if you finish early, you can move ahead to the next chapter. I had a wonderful experience and highly recommend this professor Summer 2025
