Easy class.. incredibly boring... videos constantly.. easy tests if you read...
Easy class in general, 3 tests the whole semester, not cumulative. Write 2 papers to critique dance shows...class is basically all movies. She does take attendance and passes out note sheets, so you kind of have to go but it isn't bad. All tests are multiple choise.
Very easy class. The hardest thing is group dancing which is very limited. She goes over what will be on the exams. I would take this prof. if you can.
She is super easy, i would defenitly take her! you have 3 tests, all multiple choice, and she tells you what is going to be on them. as long as you read the book and go to class you will pretty much ace them. basically you watch movies all the time and class almost always gets out early.
Super easy. She'll tell you everything on the test and everyone almost always gets 100/100 on the papers, or instead of a paper you can teach the class a dance, which is really easy to do. I recommend!
This was an interesting class and I enjoyed it. It was very very easy. Attendance is taken at each class and some information on the tests comes from the book. Everything else is gone over in class and you watch many videos. Overall it was interesting and fun, especially teaching and learning dances!
Professor Healy is such a sweet lady! Her class isn't hard at all as long as you do the readings. She goes over everything that will be on the test the day before and they are all multiple choice. I highly recommend her!
Extremely easy class! You watch lots of videos and she tells you exactly what will be on the tests.
easy class. good professor. exams/finals = fairly easy. she tells you what you need to know on her exams. 2 papers, and 1 group projects. all easy A's though - don't have to worry about them really. watch a lot of videos and barely need to read text since she gives you notes and tells you what u need to know anyways! take her!!!!! highly recommend!
Easy but incredibly boring class. Note to all the fellas out there: take this class if you want to meet chicks. (like a 2.5-3 to one ratio guys!)
Healy is sweet. She is nice and very easy to listen to.
Easy class, nice professor (like a mom), but boring especially the lectures. But what do you expect when it's only two credits?
Super helpful, even if you take it online. Not outrageous expectations and informative. Willing to help and go out of her way to answer any question you can come up with. I def recommend taking her for any health class.
This class was super easy! I went to lecture maybe five times and knew more than most of my classmates just by taking notes online. Her powerpoints are all on D2L and her tests are all directly off her powerpoints. Labs on Friday suck for the beginning of the semester and then the majority of it you just play fun games and sports. Take it!
Even though all of the notes are on D2L, still go to the lectures because she DOES say things in the lecture hall that don't make it onto D2L. It's an easy class, but don't slack. Just review the notes the day after you get them and then the morning of the test and you'll be fine. She CAN be a little long in the talking, but it's not that bad.
I actually thought this class was pretty interesting. She had a lot of personal stories maybe too many but I was fine with it. Class is easy just review notes. Labs are fun! Just show up so you get the points!
Very easy class...but very interesting & helpful! There are 3 tests. I finished the 2nd one in 15 minutes & got a 96%! There are some guest speakers, all of which are interesting! I would recommend her for HPR 105!
Very easy class! She sometimes goes a bit too fast with the slides...but you can finsih copying the notes down from D2L. Not a lot of homework. You actually do some basic dances in the class. Over all, it's a decent class.
I went to class, but with Healy you don't have to. Tests are all multiple choice and super easy, right off the power points. Review days really help with the tests. Lab kinda sucks because it's on Friday, but the class was easy. I recommend taking Healy if you want an easy A.
This class was wayyy easy. The only days I went were for the review days she had right before the test. Three 50 multiple choice questioned exams. Took me 15 mins at the most. Super easy A.
She is an easy teacher.. You only have one project, one dance critque, and three multiple choice tests.. She goes through what will be on the tests the day before and puts the PowerPoints online which is nice. She does take attendance
Pretty easy class. You don't need to go to lecture, but make sure you review the powerpoint slides on D2L. Also, make sure you go to the review days, because she gives some info that isn't in the slides. Overall, good professor.
EASIEST CLASS EVER!! You almost never have to go to lecture or you dont have to pay attention. She's really nice but likes to give lots of stories about her life....sometimes awkward. But i would recommend her she's really nice and easy class.
Class is extremely easy. She takes her job a lil to serious for a class everyone skips, and regurgitating pointless information. Acts over friendly, but just another failed athlete phy ed teacher..
Pretty easy. You don't need to go to lecture, just study the slides, and you'll do fine on all the tests.
Super easy class. Never have to read the book. Everything needed to know is in powerpoints, which are posted online always. Don't really need to attend lectures, unless day of a test (make sure you know student id number).
Took for dance appreciation. Class is very easy, but a little boring. If you take the notes on the powerpoint, you'll get an A on the tests. Project and paper are graded easy. Definitely recommend.
Never really need to go to class except review days. Easy class, boring powerpoints. She does like to share stories of her life and incorporate them into each topic. The labs are pretty fun. I recommend this class!
This class is super easy, but also super boring. If you skip lecture, you don't miss much. She puts all the slides online and basically reads off of them with some added stories about her family. Make sure you show up for review and test days and actually study the PowerPoints. If you do then you will for sure get at least an AB for the lecture.
I also had her for ESS 104. She's REALLY personable. If you have a question, she tries to answer it in whatever way possible. She is so nice and knows how to teach material in a simplistic manner, which makes lectures less "over your head." Great professor overall!
Pretty much the easiest class at UW-L. Tests are 50 questions and can be finished in 8 minutes. Lectures are useless and listening to her talk made me more stupid I think. Easy A but brutal to sit through.
Dance App is boring no matter what, but this class has required group projects, which she assigns, and boring power points and watch really long videos. Tests are tricky, lots of dates and eras. Also what countries do what in dance.
Such a boring class to sit through. Don't need to go to lectures except for review days. Tests were fairly easy. Study the powerpoints and you should do well! She's pretty nice and lets you know what to expect. Constantly talks about her family & uses them as examples for almost every topic.
Only show up on the first day, review days, and on test days for a grand total of 7 days!! All powerpoints are online and straight forward. As long as you look them over and understand them it's impossible not to get an A (as long as you showed up for lab, which is actually fun sometimes). Easiest class ever.
I went to every lecture and took handwritten notes, which probably wasn't necessary but I aced almost every test. Good teacher for this class and labs are really fun!
HPR is a waste of time and money and is bs that it is required. She is a really nice lady but I honestly don't think she is very intelligent. Talks about her kids too much... we don't give a "darn" about your kids.
She takes attendance every day. Tests are pretty hard, but I managed to pull off A's. Has a group project and a live dance critique that are worth as much as tests. I'd recommend her, not too bad.
Because Professor Healy only lectures in this class you never develop a personal relationship with her. You won't need office hours because this class is so easy. No need to attend lectures only go to review sessions. Lectures are very interesting, current, and relevant, so I always attended. Lab is easy; just show up for the free points.
Very easy class... usually a lecture of 500 people or so. You need to show up to class to fill in the blank slides she gives you or you can get them from another student. Go to the review days because she goes through almost every test question. Very nice professor but you don't really get to know her because of class size.
Very easy class. A's on all tests. She is very clear about what will be on the test. All you have to do is go over the slides the night before. Memorize statistics though! attendance is obviously not taken in a class of 600, but going is essential to getting the blanks on the powerpoint. if full powerpoint is posted..dont go! easy easy easy.
Easy class, nice lady. Recommend for an easy A!
Lecture is not mandatory and I rarely went. Labs are mandatory but assignments and activities are simple. She now blanks out the important info on powerpoint slides but I went through and read the chapters before the tests. Unit 3 is mostly guest lecturers, no info missing on pp, easy, I got 100% on the final. All tests took 20-30 min to complete.
You never get to know this prof because it's in a giant lecture with many students. She tells you exactly what you need to know, PP is clear and lectures easy to understand. She will give you test questions that you will need for later. Not a hard class.
Very very dry and boring. Girl fell asleep next to me today. She stretches things she could do in 20 minutes, into an hour. So naturally everyone wants to leave and it sucks. She's like an 8th grade teacher teaching college students. I don't recommend but it is easy if you can suffer through it. So boring. Imagine the most bored you've been. Yup.
Very easy class. You don't have to go to lecture, especially when there are guest speakers. Attending Labs are easy (like Gym class) and you probably shouldn't miss a lot of those. She likes to talk about her family and personal stories which gets a little boring but overall an easy class.
Easiest class ever!! Only go to class if there are blanks in her slides. She emails a review before the test which is basically the test questions word for word.
This class is really easy. I went to every lecture, and only studied about 10 minutes for each exam, and I got As on everything. I would recommend taking this class when you have a heavy course load.
Best course of action: Do NOT go to class. Instead, do more important things and only study the material using the powerpoints she has already put on D2L (same as what she uses in class). You're wasting your time going to class. Only study right before the exams and you will get an A for sure.
Very easy class. Stopped going to lecture after first 2 weeks. Study the review sheet she gives before the test and you will be fine.
Super easy class - she's boring, but she puts all the slides online. My friends and I switched off classes. They would fill in the notes and send them, and vice versa. Study guides cover everything you need to know. I think I went to maybe four of her classes and got over 100% because she also offered extra credit.
Very easy class. Attendance is definitely not mandatory. Just use the review she gives out to study. All notes and class lectures are posted online. Only have to go to Friday classes, which are basically a phy. ed. class. Easy, fun class.
Very Very boring but easy class. She talks more about her kids and random things than notes, not giving you enough time to take all the notes. Stopped going to lecture after first exam and still got an A. Lab is super boring and useless too!
Her class is really easy. You don't even have to go to class to learn the material. Every class is based on a Powerpoint and you fill in blanks. Exams are super easy. The labs are also super easy. Overall an easy professor and class.
Very easy!!!
Very nice. Super Easy. No need to attend class, but I suggest you skim through the notes/powerpoints on D2L.
She's terrible. She will go through a lecture super fast, even though we have an hour. During one class we had a fire drill, which took 20 minutes, and then she sped through our lecture and we got We literally had a 20 minute class where none of us could write or type fast enough to catch what she was saying. Worst part is, she's the only teacher.
She goes through her powerpoints extremely fast, never enough time to get notes down. Spends half the time telling stories about her kids and "famous" people she knows. Nice lady, but she likes to make herself sound good and take up an hour of time. Does a review session before exams that again she speeds through, but tests are pretty easy.
Super dumb class, but easy. Tests are now online making it even easier than it was before. Healy is fine
Professor Healy is one of the best professor I've had at UW-L! She is passionate about what she teaches and her power-points and exams are crystal clear! Pay attention to her power-point slides and listen in class, you will do AMAZING! I wish she taught more classes!
Healy is very nice and she makes the class very easy. Much of the information is common sense. Attendance not mandatory. Take her for sure!
All lectures are posted online so you dont have to go to class. She goes past the review questions (not recorded so you have to go to class that day) really fast so you often miss a lot of them. Overall an easy A.
Dr. Healy is an awesome professor and tries her best to make this boring class interesting. Probably the easiest class I've ever taken.
The lectures are pointless but you have to go.. she grades your attendance. She brings this thing that hangs on the wall and if you put your cell phone in there during class, you get a point of extra credit every day which adds up. Tests were basically look at the power points on D2L a few times before the exam cause you'll sleep past them in class
This was a really easy class, there were three exams and the lab portion. I skipped the entire class between the second and third exam and still got an A. Don't miss the lab portion, attendance is mandatory there and graded. Professor Healy was really nice, but I am not sure if she took the class seriously. There was no incentive to go to class.
She brags too much about her past accomplishments. Every lecture she mentions something about her track & field accomplishments or coaching experiences. "When I was coaching the national team." "Back when I was a top heptathlete in college." It's irritating, otherwise a great course with easy material.
Class was so easy. Attendance in lecture isn't mandatory because it's in a large lecture hall. She also posts the notes online. The 3 or 4 exams are all ONLINE (OPEN NOTE EXCLAMATION MARK). Lab is necessary to attend and it's literally high school gym class. Just show up and participate and get your credit. Easy A.
The lectures become annoying to attend as the semester goes on. Interesting material in her slides, but she's a terrible lecturer. If you have the option to take it online, do. The lab is like a high school gym class; some people are downers, try to have a good attitude, participate and get some joy out of it. It can be fun! Easy A.
A pain free class. 3 Exams are online with open note and help from friends, and the lab grade is basically just attendance. Healy's lectures can get a little long, some people don't like her personal stories, but I think it shows that she's trying to make it relevant. Download the ppts to use on the exam, and you can zone out in class no problem
First of all, be prepared for about 15 emails a day from her, other than that its the easiest class I've taken in college. I haven't been to a class since the first week, and I still have an A. "Lab" every Friday is a high school gym class graded on attendance and some small assignments. It's a breeze.
Never went to lectures just labs on fridays. Make sure you study the slides a ton before the tests. If you can find a friend who actually goes to the lectures you should make sure to ask them about specifics from each lecture. (: e z A
All previous comments on here are from last year's class. Now the lecture slide have blanks on them for all the important information; making skipping much more difficult. Even if you come to class she'll skip past slide so you won't get the info. The exams have the same material as previous years, but not they're in class, therefore difficult.
Didn't go to one lecture and got a 90 on the in-class exam. Not a difficult class at all
Easiest class taken so far in my college career. A few opportunities for extra credit although you won't need it. Tests are easy and if you study a few hours. Assignments are easy. My only problem with her was that she could be very unclear at times and she often rushed through material even though you get out of lecture 20 minutes early.
The lectures are posted online before class so some people skip lectures a lot. But sometimes she has students take a "pop-quiz" (they're just for participation) with names on it so she can give points for attendance. The tests are easy if you reviewed the material. As for lab, you will get an A if you show up to the lab and turn in assignments.
Easy class. Go to lab and give everything some effort you should get a good grade. This can be a boring class so the temptation to skip is there. DON'T she sometimes gives quizzes or in lecture participation points.
HPR 105 is one of the easiest classes I've had. Dr. Healy is very straightforward. My only problem with her is that sometimes she has obscure details on the exams, so look out for that. That said, it's meant to be an easy class. Even with a few obscure questions, the tests are easy. Her pop quizzes are participation based, so just show up.
The lectures have several hundred students, so skipping is always an option. However from time to time she'll have an in-class assignment and if you aren't there you won't get the points.
Professor Healy is a good professor who knows what she is talking about, however, you will need to study for tests. She also likes to give a lot of pop quizzes that are participation points (even though class isn't mandatory).
Showing up to lecture is not mandatory, but occasionally she will announce a quiz or have an in-class assignment. D2L will not notify you when she uploads a quiz, you have to be in class to hear about it. She incorporates a lot of her personal life into lecture. It's mostly explaining her family's health problems.
She made HPR 105 harder than it had to be. She gives you powerpoints that you're supposed to "fill in the blanks" but the slides don't match up at all, so it's hard to take notes she has random quizes on d2l and the exams are very precise on remembering percents and numbers.
Interesting material, boring delivery on her part. Easy pop quizzes to check attendance, and just going to lectures almost guarantees an A on the test. Little outside work, and lab can be a lot of fun!
HPR105 is a lecture class with hundreds of students. Healy's lectures are a bit scattered at times, but the tests are very easy and straightforward. There are random pop quizzes and labs (which can be fun) - so it's important to get those points. Go to class, write a few notes, study those notes a bit, and pay attention - it's an easy A.
She is literally the WORST lecturer I have ever had. She says something is important for an exam and then skips to the next point/slide 2 seconds later so you don't have time to get the information down. Also, when she gives online quizzes, she doesn't tell you so you have to go find them on your own and risk missing them if you don't find them.
The only professor you can have for this class, but is still decent. Lectures are long and boring, but its difficult to get a great grade without going to class (I didn't go to class). The tests are all from lecture and so if you don't go to class its hard to get good grades on tests (I avg. 70%) thank god for the lab portion of the class.
All you do for Professor Healy's lectures is show up and take notes. She also puts her PowerPoitns online but some have blanks in it so you get that information from class. Her study guides essentially have everything on it for her exams. She is very nice and open to questions. A very easy class!
Show up to lectures because there are attendance points randomly. Do a brief review of her study guide before the test and an A will be in your near future.
Watch out for the quizzes she gives on lecture days, my roommate missed a few of these and got a B, even though we got similar test scores. If you show up to everything, get everything done on time, and study for the tests, it's an easy A.
Honestly if you don't get an A in this class I would be surprised. All you have to do is show up and listen, it's an easy A
Pretty cut-and-dry lecturer; read her slides and added explanations as needed, but you could get by not going and taking notes on the slides yourself (she posts them on D2L). Random online quizzes only announced in class however so if you skip be vigilant (easiest quizzes ever though). Also online final was plug
HPR lectures are a joke, you never need to show up if you don't want to. Just be sure to read lectures that are given online because we do have online quizzes right after class every once in a while. I had this class in a huge lecture hall and she only checked attendance once. one in class exam 2 online including final!!
I took her online during the summer, and it was super easy! We had a weekly workout to turn in, and daily five point quizzes. You can take the quizzes ahead of time. I was gone for a week in NY, and she was super understanding that I wouldn't have wifi. The quizzes are right off the lectures. I would definitely take this with her online if possible
This class is one of the easiest I've ever taken. Basically if you show up, you'll pass. The lectures are pretty boring, but they're not too long. She puts the slides on D2L, so if you miss class it's not a big deal. There's online quizzes sometimes, but they're super simple and take like 2 minutes. Final was also online. Easy A.
very easy class but I missed 4 online quizzes because she only leaves them up until 11pm that day and you dont get a notification. its basically how she grades attendance so either check every day or show up to class every day. pretty boring lectures
class is very boring, lectures are pointless. It is very general information. She tries to say that HPR ties into every major at UWL & acts like her class is the best. Also so sorry to anyone who has to buy a fitbit from now on, complete and udder stupidity.
she says that she puts the lecture slides on d2l but then she blanks out all the stuff that's on the 5 minute time limit quizzes. so that's really helpful. real mature. if you want a prof thats going to trick you. take melanie healy.
Lectures were very easy to follow and the information was easy to memorize. I didn't even study for the first exam and I only got one point off. The information that she teaches is very basic and fairly common sense.
Overall an extremely easy class. But, if you have depression or anxiety get ready to be offended by some of her slides. They sound like that Bob Marley song "don't worry, be happy" instead of actually giving solid advice. So a little outdated in that subject but other than that I rarely studied and I got a B. Check every day for online quizzes!!!
Is not good at lecturing and does not know content very well. Not clear when giving information. Would not recommend.
Professor Healy is a decent professor. Her class is extremely easy and I have been able to skip class quite a few times and still get good grades on assignments, quizzes and exams. All quizzes and exams are online so they are easy. Her lectures are usually really boring because most of the content is common sense, but its and easy A class .
Healy is a good teacher, but often gives surprise in-class assignments. If you do not go to class you get a zero for that assignment and there aren't very many so it will effect your grade. She is not forgiving and will not let you make up quizzes under reasonable circumstances. I would take her again but attending class is crucial and very boring.
Super easy class. I attended all classes at the beginning of the year but have skipped for the past three weeks. She posts the slides, but sometimes she purposely leaves information out so you'll go to class. Lots of pop quizzes so if you do skip, be sure to check to see if there is a quiz online. Overall, it's a pretty easy class.
I wanted to fall asleep in her lectures. Large class so not necessary to show up because she also just puts her lecture slides online. Just watch for "pop-quizzes" which are online (as are all the tests). Don't need to show up to get an A in this class.
Lectures are posted online. Look at the online slides to see what information is missing. There are sometimes quizzes that have to be taken within that day, but look on Canvas after class to see if there's a quiz. Exams are online so you can use your notes. There is lab on Friday that you have to go to. There are projects that are busywork.
If you're taking HPR 105 you do not have to show up to her lectures, she posts the powerpoints online and leaves maybe a few blanks to try and get people to come to class but the blanks are easily found online. She gives pop quizzes which she only announces in lecture but just check canvas every day there's lecture and you'll be fine
You can skip every lecture and just show up on Fridays and get an A. There really is no reason to go to lecture because everything is posted online, all the tests and quiz's are online. Super easy class, take it if you can it's an easy A.
She's very knowledgable and I actually really enjoyed taking this class. Lectures aren't mandatory, just make sure you check canvas for quizzes and study the lectures. All the exams are online and open book. Going to the exam reviews helped me prepare. Definitely a very easy class.
For this class you have to take lecture and lab. I went to the first few lectures but never went again, she posts them online so there is no point of going. Labs are friday mornings and are mandatory but as long as you go, you'll get an A. Easy A just do not forget to take the weekly online quizzes.
She is super nice and easy to get along with. Her lectures can be boring at times, but it's a very easy class. Easy A.
She is uncaring about her student and at the end of semester gets overwhelmed and refuses to help with any grading. Even if you are a 0.04% away from an A you will not get a round up. Acts as if she if better than everyone around her and treated college student as high schoolers.
It's hard to have a professor in a class that you really do not like, so Melanie did the trick. You do not have to go to class much if you don't want to, but don't forget quizzes. If you want an A, takes the quizzes and exams carefully because it's easy to make mistakes.
This class was very easy. If you show up to each class and complete assignments, you can get an A. I printed out the lecture powerpoints which was helpful in class. There are pop quizzes but you have the full day to take it online. The quizzes took me about a minute and the exams took me about 20 minutes.
Easiest online class ever, takes one hour to complete the coursework for the whole week. Only things that count for grades are quizzes and exams but they are so easy it's not a problem. Online lab requires one six sentence "activity log" each week that you can bs in about five minutes. Lectures are definitely not mandatory.
Really easy class if you need the Gen Ed credit. Lectures have a lot of information, but slides are on Canvas, so you don't really need to go as long as you keep up with the quizzes. Quizzes and tests are all online, so it is helpful to get together with a group and take it together. Should be a pretty easy A.
This class is one of the easiest general education classes that I have taken so far at UWL. You have pop quizzes randomly throughout the semester, but usually its every week. She posts all of the slides online so you do not have to go to lecture if you don't want to. Make sure to check CANVAS for quizzes if you don't go to lecture. Easy class.
I'm going to be honest, I went to 2 classes the entire semester and got an A. I don't understand why HPR has a lecture. Just check canvas for quizzes on days you have class and you're set.
easiest gen ed class. lectures can be boring but some are interesting depending on the topic. attendance isn't mandatory, but she doesn't put every slide on canvas but they're not always important. weekly quizzes that she tell us about the day of but their super easy and just on that days lecture. overall just look on canvas and you'll be fine.
Taking HPR over the summer was the best idea for me considering it is only 3 weeks compared to an entire semester. Pretty lecture heavy and take quizzes after each lecture. Weekly exams and activity logs but they are super basic. This is probably the most basic and easy gen ed at UWL. If you put in the effort, you will get an A.
This class is so easy. As long as you stay on schedule and complete your work with some effort youll end up with an A.
She is an amazing professor that care a ton for her students. There is a decent amount of content/homework but it is all very easy. Great communicator and good person, take her if you can!
boring
Every week there were 1-2 lectures and a short quiz. No midterm, but 2 other tests and a final. Lectures were pretty boring but you basically don't have to do anything for this class except watch them (I would recommend taking some notes but that's up to you).
This class was easy and a bunch of the content was common sense. Professor Healy was thorough in her lectures and made them pretty interesting. You're graded on a weekly quiz and a few exams throughout the semester. I would definitely recommend her as a professor.
HPR is boring, its a gen ed, take her if you need this for credit, have a nice day
HPR 105 was definitely the easiest Gen Ed I've had to take at UWL. While it was online, I don't anticipate the in-person version of the course to be any more difficult than this past spring was. While there are a handful (anywhere from 2-4) assignments due each week, they only take like 10 minutes max apiece. Fun, easy-going class climate-recommend
I took this class over winter break online. It was very easy, all you needed to do was watch the lectures, take the weekly quizzes and you will pass the exam. She recycles many of the questions from the quizzes, so the exams are fairly easy.
Easy class, many quiz and test questions are common sense. Just watch the lectures and you'll do fine.
kind but the things she teaches is common sense. dont need to show up for lectures. go through the slides and youll pass.
Super easy class. The lectures arent long and there is very minimal work required.
Just show up for labs and turn in something for the homework and you'll be good
There is a 5 point quiz once a week but it is super easy. As long as you show up to lab you will get full points for that section. Attendance is not required for lecture, but the lecture is boring, it all felt repetitive or like common sense.
The attendance wasn’t mandatory, I only went to two of them the entire semester. Make sure to keep up on the notes she posts on canvas. If you stay on top of your work the class is super easy. The lab part is basically a gym class that sucks. Make sure you don’t miss these as days even though they aren’t the best.
Lectures can be hard to pay attention to, most people just skip them
Melanie Healy reads the lectures straight from the powerpoints, which are also posted on Canvas. You don't have to show up to the lectures, but at least copy and paste the notes into a word doc. The quizzes are open notes, so it helps to have decent notes. Otherwise, this course was super easy.
Super easy class. Most people skip the lectures. You take one open note 5 point quiz a week. Make sure you attend labs for full points.
Lectures switched to virtual within the first week and remained that way for the rest of the week. One five questions quiz each week based off of one lecture, all slideshows were posted on canvas and easy to access.
Professor Healy was great for HPR105 lecture! Despite her family emergency at the beginning of the semester she never ceased to be amazing and available for her students! I had one quiz and 2 lecture videos per week, which was very doable. There aren't any surprises on her tests. She was always available by email and responded quickly.
We only had one in-person class with Prof. Healy before she had to travel out-of-state to take care of her father. We were online for the remainder of the semester, but she did an excellent job of zooming and posting updates on canvas. Overall, the exams and quizzes are open-note and very easy.
We only had one in-person class with Prof. Healy before switched online. Excellent communication through zoom, posting updates on canvas, and answering email. Overall, the exams and quizzes are open-note and very easy.
I had both HPR lecture and lab online and it was the easiest class I have ever taken. Grades consisted of online lecture quizzes each week, two online exams, and the online final. For online lab, you could do the friday lab on whatever day you wanted, so attendance was not mandatory like it is for in person students. TAKE IT ONLINE
our class unfortunately got moved online due to a family emergency she was having, but she did a fantastic job of communicating with us and keeping in touch via email and canvas. exams are all open note, I didn't watch lectures or study and I got an A on all of them. she is a super nice lady with great organization!
This is by far the easiest course you'll take in college. As long as you don't miss any exams and quizzes, you will do just fine.
This class is super easy, and I recommend every to take it. You basically get gym class on Fridays. The tests are open note, and most of the stuff you learn is common sense. The material is simple and easy to understand.
She is a lovely professor. My class was online so if made it easy. All the tests were open note so that is a plus. She is understanding of students situations and helps accommodate them. She gives opportunity for extra credit which is helpful. Her class is nothing special but is a nice class to break up your schedule.
My class was moved online after the first lecture. The class consists of weekly quizzes with a midterm and final exam. All tests are open notes. Very easy class
Both online lecture and lab are super easy and manageable. Completing participation assignments, mini lecture quizzes, and online exams lead to a great success probability. Professor Healy is a very nice person and cares for students.
Her lecture was moved online unexpectedly this semester but she made that transition very smooth. Lectures are easy to follow along, and quiz and exam questions are right out of the lectures if you listen and take brief notes. I actually learned a lot from this course, and the lab (gym class) on Friday was enjoyable.
Easy class with exams online and attending lecture was not mandatory but the lab part of class had mandatory attendance to get the points and had a few assignments for it but never took that long. Easy A class
She is sweet and caring. I feel bad that a lot of people didn't go to lectures because she tries her best. 5 question quiz once a week that is just common sense, and exams are online and also easy.
I had Melanie for lecture, and she was great. Attendance is not graded, but you will get a perfect score on the weekly quiz if you show up. The weekly quizzes are 10 points each and are super easy. There are minimal assignments throughout the semester and most questions on quizzes and exams can be Googled. Highly recommend Melanie!
She is so easy and she honestly is an awesome professor. You do not ever have to attend class and you can still get an awesome grade.
Took this class over the summer (over 4th of July period). Overall the class was easy, however, since it is the summer there are SO many assignments and quizzes due each day. With that, many people would forget and miss quizzes or assignments. M. Healy made no exceptions for any missed quizzes or exams. Wish professors cared about helping students.
I took this class during summer session, and Melanie made it very easy to succeed. There are a lot of assignments due everyday, but it's expected since the course only runs for 3 weeks. I definitely recommend taking this class over the summer for an easy A, just stay on track and you'll be fine.
She is very nice and the class is very easy. Easy gen ed.
Didn't need to attend lectures as she reads right from the slideshow and will post the slideshow. There was a short quiz on one of the two lectures weekly (based off slides). Class was very straightforward and all exams were online. A few assignments that were based on lab.
Boring class but super easy
Highly recommend.
Professor Healy's course was easy. She seemed to care about what she was lecturing. The HPR course is MWF, where MW is lectures, and F is lab. The lectures were not mandatory. There was one quiz each week that were quick and easy. Ended with an A and went to 5 lectures. Healy's lectures can be a bit long though. Easy course, easy lecturer, easy A.
Very easy professor. Lectures are boring but provides everything you need to know for quizzes and exams. Recommend to get gen ed done.
I honestly forgot where Graff Hall even is. Went to 2 lectures the whole semester and just looked at the slides on canvas for the ONE weekly quiz 5 question you have each week. Exams and quizzes online. Literally the easiest class I have ever taken. Call this class goodwill it is so free.
Professor Healy was very helpful whenever you needed help. The first lecture of the week was what was going to be on the weekly quiz. It was a very straight forward and common-sense class.
HPR was very easy, you didn't even need to go to class to get a good grade. The lectures just consisted of going through the slides that have all the answers to the weekly quizzes. She also sent out lots of reminders for assignments and quizzes
She goes through the lecture so fast that class was always done 15 minutes early, but it made it so notes had to be taken outside of class time. All exams are open notes and basically common sense. She post all of her slides so there is no need to attend her classes. HPR was easy with her.
Really not much to say about Healy. HPR is designed to be on of the easiest and most basic classes on campus. I learned some interesting things, but most of it you learn in Biology anyways. Her lectures aren't too bad and I didn't mind coming to class, so it's really not that big of a deal to take this one. Easy A.
HPR105 was an easy A. Lectures are dull, but the content is straightforward, and quizzes are a breeze. unstuck AI was a lifesaver for quick quiz prep alongside the provided slides.
Professor Healy is super sweet! This is such an easy A class. All exams are online and you defenitely dont have to go to the lectures.
Super easy class, with attendance points, three online exams, a group dance project, and a dance critique paper. She gives a Kahoot on the day of exams in class that goes over most of the exam content, definitely not too tough. She is super nice and clearly explains what you need in the paper and group project in the rubric. Definitely an easy A.
Super easy class. I stopped showing up halfway through semester and still got an A. She is a pretty nice lady, never takes attendance, outlines guidelines well. All of the exams are online and super easy.
Super easy class. I never showed up and got an A. Theres only one quiz a week, no homework. Take it
She was super nice, just not that personable to me. Class itself is very easy, and interesting. Notes are always posted before class, and typically 1 quiz based on the lecture (2 lowest scores dropped). Exams are online & you don't meet in lecture on exam days. Keep with the work & you don't really need to go to class (I always went but that's me).
The lecture is huge so attendance is definitely not mandatory. She tells you when there's a quiz on a lecture so you know, she also tells you when you have a lab assignment due. You really don't even have to pay attention if you do go to lecture because all quizzes and exams are online.
Lecture is 200+ people so she posts the slides and the lecture isn't "mandatory" but going makes note taking much easier. She is super understanding and wants us to do well. But also understand its a gen ed and does not make this class harder than it needs to be. Weekly quizzes with 2 exams + a final all open note/book and online.
People saying she isn't personable don't know the expectations of a 400-student lecture LOL. HPR is the easiest class I have taken in my entire life. All exams and quizzes are online and a lot of it is general knowledge. I always went to lectures but you really don't need to. I would count this class as .5 class in your schedule as it takes no work
The class was a very easy A. You don't need to go to lectures because all of the notes, quizzes, and exams are all online. The professor was super kind and was always encouraging us to ask questions. Take this class if you want an easy A.
HPR 105 is a great option for your health credit. It's very easy to get an A. Go to lectures if you can since it makes it easier to recall answers during tests instead of having to look them all up. Getting 100% is achievable on all tests. The lab or what I call "gym class" is mandatory attendance and is similar to a middle school PE class.
HPR is a very easy-going class, there's not a whole lot of homework and lectures you don't need to go to, and is not mandatory. There is a "gym class" that is mandatory on Fridays, and you can't miss those because your whole grade in the lab is basically just attendance. All exams are online, and a lecture quiz each week.
She is a nice person but participation matters and you cannot make it up, even if you have a concussion and cannot physically dance.
She was an easy professor. Labs were mandatory but were only 55 minutes. The lectures were long and boring, I didn't really go. All quizzes and exams were online. Labs were like a middle school gym class.
Dr. Healy isn't an entertaining lecturer, but it doesn't make the class hard. Easy online weekly quizzes and extremely easy online exams. Attendance isn't mandatory; had a friend not show up for a month and still got an A. The content you learn is useful and worthwhile. One of the easiest classes I've ever taken.
This was the online part of the hpr class. She posted a lecture and quiz on monday that are due on friday every week. Pretty easy content, all you have to do it watch the lecture every week.
Sooo many lectures. 2 lectures a day. Easy class, but passive aggressive with assignment feedback and email responses. Discussions got very personal, and content felt like if I didn't exercise, I was going to be fat and unhealthy and die young.
She was a good teacher. She only did the lectures, your labs are with a different professor. Lab was guaranteed 100 if you showed up everyday. The lectures would often end early. There was a weekly quiz. A few exams. Online final exam. Super easy gen-ed class. This is the last class to be worried about.
She makes the class incredibly easy. Everything outside of the lab can be done entirely online. Even the final is taken on canvas. The material is decently interesting, and it doesn't require much work outside of class.
She was very nice and knowledgeable! Her lectures were very thorough and she really wants you to succeed. I don't know if you get points off if you don't show up for lecture because I never skipped, but you get points off for missing lab. The assignments and quizzes are pretty easy if you pay attention and take notes during lecture.
Very easy class! All tests were online and open note, even the final. The professor knows what she is talking about and explains things well. No one should get lower than an A in this class.
Nice lady, lecture attendance dwindled throughout the semester, but in about 3 of the last 5 classes there were extra credit points available.
