TAKE HER!!!! This class covers alot but she gives handouts for EVERY chapter. Tests come right off the handouts! This is the easiest class that I've taken BUT I've learned more from her than ANY other prof. at SFCC.
Really Great teacher.Helps you understand everything, and tests come right off the handouts. Lots of extra credit. Take Her, You'll learn a lot!
This teacher was great. She was very clear on her assignments and gave you plenty of extra credit. There was alot of material, but she covered it well. She was very helpful. Easy class if you just try a little.
I like this teacher....she has her tests online..you have little extra credit..lots of handouts, but tests do require more stuff from the textbook. For an A, I would take her.
I loved Mrs. Roberti, she is an awesome teacher. Dont but the text book. You do not need it, she will let you borrow one for the tests. Tests are online, unlimited amount of time, most questions come right off the hand outs she gives you. I highly recommend this teacher!!!
LOVE HER!!! Great teacher! so easy...class is not manditory to come to and all test are online(not timed) and open notes
Great teacher! She loves what she teaches and wants you to learn it and love it as well. BUT she understands that, more than likely you are NOT a science major, so she doesn't stress you out. Word of advice though: don't leave your tests to the end of the semester! You WILL regret it.
She was a very good teacher. The test were fairly easy being the a lot of the questions came off of the notes. I never really studied and still managed to get a B and B+ on the test. She allows you to do extra credit quizes online which go towards your test. 4 quizes per test at 3 extra credit points apice. That's more than a letter grade. EASY
I did not have her for science, but she is a tutor for my math class. She is very patient and helpful.
She's pretty awesome! Very good teacher, and loves what she teaches. She makes the class passible by helping a LOT, you can really go to her for anything. I reccomend taking her classes
Amazing teacher! All I can say, because if I wrote it all, it'd take too much room.
Very good teacher who loves what she does. Take her class you wont regret it.
Mrs.Roberti is an exceptional instructor and person. Her good nature and love of science makes the lectures and projects fun for all. She doesn't bog students down with excessive busy work, and gives terrific notes. I've never met an instructor who cares more for their student's success; help is always available by phone or email. Wonderful course!
Professor Roberti was a co-teacher with Mrs. Dale for my math class. Professor Roberti was so helpful to anyone who needed the extra help. I look forward to having her as a professor in another class!
Mrs.Roberti is one of the best teachers i have ever had at SFC. She is so helpful and understanding, you could not ask for a better proffesor!!!
No doubt the best teacher i have ever had. She is funny, does fun stuff with the class and is willing to help anyone who needs it. If your taking a science class you should take Mrs. Roberti, she is awesome!
Mrs. Roberti is one of the best teachers I have ever had. She really cares about her students and explains things in student language- she is a delightful. Great algebra tutor as well as science. I would not have made it thur math without her!!
Take this class you won't regret it. you will make an A if you keep up
She is awesome! She is very helpful and there is no reason for you not to get an A! This is coming from someone who hasnt had the best of luck with science at all! lol
A wonderful teacher and an even more wonderful human being!
this was probably the easiest class ever. Mrs roberti is wonderful & the best teacher. She loves what she does & it shows! Take this class for sure
One of the nicest people I have ever met at Santa Fe. Very helpful. She'll answer any questions you have until you understand. The class can be long, but overall a nice class. If I had to take Geology again I would take it with Ms. Roberti.
Funny and keeps it interesting. Answers all your questions and truly bends over backwards to help you pass her course. She's an amazing professor!
She is one of my favourites! She LOVES teaching and talking about geology! Even if you don't particularly like science you will love her because she is funny, knowledgeable, sweet and lenient. If you don't feel prepared for a test, she let's you take it another day. She wants you to pass and will do what she can to help you do so! WOULD recommend!
She is one of the best teachers I've ever had at Santa Fe. Unbelievably kind and lenient. She made the class very enjoyable. HIGHLY recommend.
The class is a breeze, her entire test bank is from her quizzes online. Her way of teaching includes lecture + powerpoints. She is a very caring teacher and truly enjoys what she teaches. With some GELOs and minimal classwork I would definitely take this class- especially if you need an easy credit.
Can't say enough good things about Prof. Roberti! Intelligent, friendly, helpful, and student-oriented. She is a lovely person and so passionate about her subject. The course material is interesting and mainly memorization.
If you are not a science major be ready for an intense class. It is so detail specific and hard to memorize so many rock types, mountains etc. Tests are really specific and you need to study alot.
Prof. Roberti was by far the best professor I have had. She makes her lectures interesting and will go out of her way to help you. You do have to work for your grade but she gives you many options to get a good grade. I learned more in this class than any other I have taken, she truly has the gift of teaching. Take one of her classes if you can.
Best science teacher ever. The class was fun and hilarious. It was always interesting and the work is easy. Gives extra credit. You HAVE to study for the tests though! The tests were a challenge. She gives you notes with fill in spots and the quizzes are online (both easy). She does powerpoints and videos, but never boring. She knows her stuff
Professor Roberti was a wonderful teacher! definitely recommend her for those who need the credit, although the test were a bit tough the info came straight off of her quizzes. so as long as you take the little 15-25 question quiz after each chapter you will be well prepared for her test, she allows you to make up test and gives plenty extra credit
Great professor, and great class. She is very specific on what you can do for yourself to succeed in her class. Gives extra credit, and offers help whenever you need it. Tests can be tricky if you do not read the book, or keep up with your work. Fun class!
Very helpful, will help you get a good grade
Professor Roberti is one of the best professors I've had so far. It is very straightforward what you need to do in order to get an A in the class. Just make sure to keep up with the homework and quizzes and there is no way you can do poorly in this class.
Awesome Professor, take her, you will not regret it.
Best professor I've ever taken! She will go out of her way to help her students and is hilarious. You can tell she really knows her stuff. Willing to go out of her way to help you. Just pay attention to her power points, turn in all of your work, and you will pass. Tests come straight from the quizzes.
Super helpful, an excellent teacher, and kind with grading as long as you do the work. You can tell she knows what she's doing, and you can tell she cares about her students. She also happens to be the most precious human being in the world.
She is always willing to help her students and tries to make sure that she entertains her students so that they enjoy what they are learning.
I loved this class and this professor. She makes sure you understand what she is talking about. She allows you to make up assignments and do them over till you have the grade you want. I wish I could take more classes with her.
She is an absolutely amazing professor. She cares about her students and will help you when you need it. She is very understanding and makes sure that she keeps a personal relationship with each student.
Great class as long as you keep up with the work load. She is willing to help any way possible.
Best professor I've ever had at Santa Fell! She's understanding, give extensions on homework no matter what. You can contact her, and she will respond within two minutes. The test are only 30% of your grade. All you have to do is the homework and you will pass no matter what! She's not here to give you a grade she's here to make you understand!
I'm a Senior in HS (dual enrollment) Took this class on-line. Be prepared to spend about 3 hours a week. I would knock it all out on a Sunday afternoon and have the week to focus on my other classes. She is awesome and will reply to emails quickly. She wants you to pass & get a good grade. You won't regret taking her. On-line was awesome.
Awesome teacher that really cares about her students and will work with you to get a good grade. Definitely recommend.
I took Professor Roberti's earth science class online. She's an amazing instructor, very nice and quick to extend deadlines. I feel this class requires a solid 5 hours of work, weekly. Just doing the online component (connect) took at least an hr per section. This class is definately not for everyone.
lots of work but not hard, very easy to get in touch with.
She is very understanding and wants you to pass. Always willing to extend deadlines. There are 7 assignments due every week and each chapter takes about and hour and a half to two hours to complete. The work is not hard but it is very time consuming.
Professor Roberti really cares about the success of her students. She gives ample opportunity to get your work done, even if it's late. She consistently tells the class that if you have any problems, to get with her and she will help you. The course itself is a bit heavy on the workload (weekly 2 chapters due, 2 quizzes, 2 applications of learning.
Roberti was a nice professor who understood a busy college student schedule. The issue with the class are the 3 exams. Each exam covers about 10-15 chapters and the tests are the same questions that are on the quizzes (1 per chapter). The tests were difficult b/c of how many chapters you had to learn in such a short amount of time. Memorization!!!
Take her! The class is very easy, however, the workload is heavy. There are 3 big tests that pull all the questions from the quizzes you do each week, some discussion posts, and a few extra credit opportunities. She will work with you to ensure you get credit. No late penalties. She will reopen any missed assignments and is very easy to reach.
TAKE HER!! she is the best hands down!
This was an amazing class! Definitely recommend this class! It is A LOT of online work but as long as you don't fall behind you'll be golden!!
Absolutely the best teacher you can have. Gives many opportunities to finish missing/late work, gives many opportunities to bump up low grades, always ready to give a helping hand. The only downfall is that there are NO materials allowed to be used on tests, so memory is KEY for all the exams.
Two Quizes every week on canvas and a lesson everyday in class with worksheets. As long as you do homework like the quizzes online then its an easy A even if tests are bombed.
You have to try really hard to fail her class. Everything doesn't have a set due date except tests. There are 2 chapters with 2 quizzes assigned every week along with one group discussion. She's really passionate about her lectures and really cares about seeing everyone pass.
She's literally the sweetest professor I've ever met in my life. Her class is easy, but she gives a lot of work over the weekend. The material is also very interesting. She's very flexible with deadlines, and will give extensions if you simply ask.
I cannot say enough good thins about Melanie Roberti. She is amazing, always willing to go the extra mile to help you succeed. Take her and only her if you want to pass with an A. Best teacher EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love this class because I learn a lot about the earth. Professor Roberti is a great teacher. In her class, we can get good grade if we work all assignments diligently. She always wants us to have a good grade, so she gives us all opportunities to fix our homework. If we have any question to ask her, Professor Roberti will reply to us very quickly
It's a great teacher. She cares about her students. Although it's online class, she will reply my questions very quickly. I am very happy to be in her class.
Fairly easy online class, even though I'm not fond of science and found most of the material boring (but that's just me). Ms. Roberti goes above and beyond to give you every chance for success in this class; she has no problems accepting late work and giving extensions if you need them. Very straightforward grading and you can work ahead.
Roberti is super flexible and considering it is an online class, youll want that. She will extend ANY deadline (no excuse needed) for ANY assignment. My biggest issue is most her assignments are on learnsmart. Because it is run by pearson, the work is very long and drawn out which makes you dread doing it. Test count for little.
Mrs. Roberti really cares about what she is teaching and provides specific study material for the tests. The lectures were interesting and helpful when preparing for a test. The labs were mostly short and fun, I would say this was the best science class I have taken.
This class should be taken online. One discussion, two learnsmarts, and two quizzes due each week all in an online program. Few assignments completed in class. Plus, the lectures are available on canvas.
A lot of reading, There is two chapters to read, two quiz, two investigations and a discussion. doesn't seem like a lot but it is you only have a week to get it all done, slacking is not an OPTION. STUDY questions are straight from the quizzes you do.
Prof. Roberti is the nicest professor I've ever had. There is a lot of homework but there really isn't a hard deadline for anything. She will give you an extension on anything you don't get done in time and still give you full credit. I even waited over a month to take Test 1 in the lab and she still gave me full credit. She is SO SWEET. Take her!
Prof. Roberti is extremely understanding and very flexible with deadlines. She is willing to help in and out of class. There is a lot of homework but she will give you an extension with no penalty. Overall a super sweet lady and a fairly easy class if you do the work. It is a textbook heavy course.
Study for tests and do your work on time.
She's such a sweet heart and is willing to help you bring your grade up!
Super flexible, and cares that you learn. As long as you do the coursework, you won't fail.
Professor Roberti is so passionate about earth space science and it really showed. Her lectures were personal and funny, she hands out guided notes for each class. Late work is accepted with no penalty and everything can be done more than once if you're unhappy with your grade. She is super caring and will work with you on anything; easy GPA boost.
Everything has a due date, but she will extend the due date till last day if class. She really wants you to succeed and pass the class. Endless tries on all quizzes, investigations, and material (besides tests). Material is not my cup of tea, but she responds quickly and helps with the understanding. Reach out to her, youll pass the class
Roberti is super understanding, and her class is a breeze. I didn't think it was even possible to make rocks interesting until her.
Amazing professor! Anything can be turned in late with no questions asked and for full credit. There is a lot of assignments, but it is manageable. The tests are from the quizzes. It can be a lot to study, but you can get an A if you do. Lowest test grade is dropped. I highly recommend her!
Professor Roberti is the nicest professor I've ever taken. I only had her for a lab but she was super understanding and didn't want the class to be more work than it should be. She also allowed us to turn in work anytime we wanted until the end of the semester and graded quickly. This was one of the best classes I've ever taken.
There is a lot of material in this course and it is assignment heavy. However, if you do the work you will pass all the quizzes and tests. She offers many extra credit assignments and you can re-take quizzes and assignments multiple times to improve your grade. She makes herself available at all times if you need help!
Prof. Roberti is the best! she offers plenty of extra credit to make up your grade and most of the assignments and quizzes can be retaken until you get a perfect score, she make it very easy to pass and shes very helpful when you need her.
Cant recommend her enough, she truly wants her students to pass and is a great teacher!
Great teacher!
If science is not an easy subject for you, this is not the professor for you. You will be expected to memorize every single detail of every single subject in every single chapter. From speaking to classmates, all of us were spending two to three times more hours on this class than any other class at SFC. This is not a good non-science major class.
Professor Roberti is fun, kind, and in love with science. Her lectures were always interesting, and she was very easy to understand. There was a lot of homework, but she gives you the schedule ahead of time for you to plan accordingly. Overall easy course with a professor who loves the subject.
Very accessible online class. I took her for the lab too and both were very easy to pass. Plenty of assignments and you can retake quizzes until you get an A. I learned a lot.
Hands down one of the best teachers I ever had at this school! She offers so much extra credit and is super understanding. Yes, there are deadlines but she allows you to submit late or however many times you like with no penalty. 5 tests and 1 final. But she drops the lowest quiz and test grade. You can tell she loves what she does.
I took Prof Roberti for ESC1000 online & in-person lab ESC1000L. She was great. There's a lot of homework in the online class but I learned a lot and got an A even though I don't like science. Prof Roberti made me want to like science b/c she is so enthusiastic, informative, and engaging in her lectures. She gives tons of resources & extra credit.
After reading her reviews I thought this class would be doable....not at all. Her assignments are so complicated. She gives you examples to learn from that are nothing like the questions asked. This class is 1 credit and by far the hardest class I have taken in the 3 years I have been at Santa Fe! Do not take this class if you do have to.
This is a very good professor. Very fair and always willing to help. Offers extra credit. I really enjoyed. Hope this helps.
I struggled with the exams in this course. This may have been because I took the course online and struggled to apply the material to real life but the exams focus on said real-life scenarios. The extra credit assignments truly helped me keep my A in the class. Prof. Roberti was so kind this semester and I'm lucky to have had her as my professor
Just a giant trivia class. Prepare to attempt to memorize 1000000 minor details about glaciers and time intervals. garbage
I liked her as a person however her tests were nearly impossible. She does offer a ton of extra credit which saves your grade. Lots of homework and reading from the textbook.
Good class.
Truly a fantastic professor to take if you need this credit. She has "due" dates but you can turn anything in at the last minute if necessary. The workload really wasn't bad, her exams are a little hard but she provides a lot of extra credit and with my 60% exam average, I still got an A in the class.
Super easy class that doesn't get in the way of more important classes. Skipped three weeks of labs (got 0s) and still passes the class with an 80.
She was a very nice and helpful teacher, and she also provided several extra credit assignments. However, I felt overloaded with the course with it's several assignments, quizzes, and tests. I felt overwhelmed and exhausted with just HOW much material was covered. I recommend the professor, but not her Earth/Space Science Course
I wouldn't recommend taking this class if you don't have to/aren't interested in science. This was not an easy class, as it took so much of my time to study to even get B's and C's on her tests. She offers TONS of extra credit but the tests are nearly impossible and there is so much work/reading to do. She is super nice though.
Really great professor, she seems very caring and knows her stuff. She provides great note templates, PowerPoints and videos for each topic. She offers extra credit, and study guides for each test. The only catch is that the tests (5 total) cover a lot of material so they take a decent amount of studying. Would definitely recommend.
She is amazing!! My grade suffered because I failed to turn in a few things near the end of the semester, but she is an extremely compassionate professor who understands and treats you like a person with life going on around you. She is very knowledgeable about what she teaches and great to ask questions and talk to about anything.
Melanie is an AMAZING professor - her lectures are incredibly helpful and informative, and she is a very kind person. She is very understanding of any issues you may have and is always willing to work with you. She also gives MANY opportunities for extra credit, so as long as you come to class and put in some effort, you will be completely fine.
AMAZING PROFESSOR! probably the most flexible professor at Santa fe. lots of content but if you don't get an A in this class it's because you didn't want to. assignments are accepted late til the end of semester ( pace yourself so you don't have to rush like me). couldn't say enough good things about her the school needs to give her a raise.
Professor Roberti is great! There a LOT of homework assignments, but there are no due dates and the tests mirror what you have learned. I would definitely take her again if needed!!
The class covers a lot of material, but the professor offers plenty of extra credit. Definitely use Unstuck ai and take advantage of the study resources to make it through the challenging tests.
There is a lot of work and a lot of information to retain, but I cannot complain about her at all because she is the nicest professor I have ever had. She lets you turn everything in at a later date and gives you a bunch of extra credit assignments. If you fail, it's on you. I recommend.
The professor is very approachable and is willing to make accommodations if you really need them, which is great. Although it should be stated that the tests are quite dense with content from several chapters, and this doesn't make sense given that it's an introductory class? It's easy to get overwhelmed studying for the tests.
Professor Roberti IS THE BEST. She's extremely helpful in every way. She was always reachable, met me in person, & gives a ton of extra credit. Test are just like the HW & lots of questions to give you a good chance of doing well. Not getting an A was my own fault but theres plenty of opportunity. One of the nicest professors Ive had at SF.
Took this class during the summer semester, most work is easy just lots of it and tedious. A lot of exams too but the lowest exams grade is dropped. Exams are done through Honorlock. Easy stuff if you keep on top of the work and don't fall behind leave until the last minute.
While I liked the professor, her course load was overbearing. Every week I would have 8-10 assignments for just her class, and each takes at least 30 minutes. Not to mention the notes are also insane, nearly 200 pages. Like what. If this is the only class you're taking, I'd recommend, if not, be ready for a huge course load and lots of notes.
Very fun teacher who gets along with students. Great lectures and literally just show up to class and that's like 20% of your grade (in class activities). TONS of extra credit that go to the test grade and for tests she will provide good study materials to practice. Fun and relatively easy class.
Fairly easy class. The only thing that I didn't like is how annoying the online assignments were. She very nice and if you miss a class assignment she gives you a chance to take it online. A lot of information and terminology to memorize. Study the online quizzes she puts out a week before the exams and you will be fine. Overall very nice professor
