HORRIBLE. WASTE OF TIME. STRONG ACCENT. If it wasnt for Marissa Maribel on YouTube I would have failed. She teaches the lessons through a word doc with limited information and provides simple examples that do not help with hard questions on the quizzes. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS! I am surprised she has her Doctorate and is still employed.

Just like all of the other negative reviews, please beware of Nasiri. If it wasn't for my amazing tutor I would have not passed this class. I worked so hard to reach a C grade and that was based solely on self study and hard work. Professor Nasiri should not be employed, because she is single handedly hurting students potential rather than helping!

Professor Nasiri is a very caring instructor. Her class is tough and she is a tough grader, but if you show up, stay after lab and ask questions, or go to office hours, she will help you. I often had questions on concepts or assignments and was able to get help when I needed it. I worked hard for my grade because the subject is tough. But she helps

Went from online, open book, noncumulative tests her entire series, to closed book in person cumulative final exam of the entire series. Seems very unfair for students who learned through her COVID series. Save your grades. Do not take this class if you do not need this info for the future. Do not take a class with Professor Nasiri! Her online classes are absolutely horrible. She does not record her lectures so you HAVE to go. Her accent is very thick and extremely hard to understand. The labs have no structure and you have to basically teach yourself the whole class because she always gets off task and doesn't cover material.

Nasiri is one of the best professors I've ever had. Chemistry is a difficult course by nature but she explains things very clearly. Her lectures are interesting and she always has a fun story to tell. It is obvious that she is passionate about teaching and she cares about her students' success in her class and in their future classes.

She understands she has a thick accent so don't be scared to ask for clarification. Her exams will catch you off guard but looking back, they were actually fairly easy. Put in the time and you'll do fine. !REVIEW CLASS NOTES!

Professor Nasiri is a great professor who wants to help if you are willing to ask. The exams will be based solely off the material covered in class. I had never taken a chemistry class but this class was great. If you are willing to put study time in, participate in lectures, ask questions when you are lost you will surely succeed in this class.

First chemistry class I've taken since 2009! Super challenging but I made it through by going to lectures, reading the textbook, and tutoring. Dr. Nasiri is available before & after class. Extra time during lab to ask her questions. Most points come from exams. 20% of the grade is from a cumulative final. No extra credit.

Come to her lectures, ask questions, go to tutoring & you should be okay. I also recommend studying her lecture notes, your notes from lecture, & watch YouTube videos for exam studying. STUDY! like STUDY STUDY. Exams are hard, but put the time in to study & you'll be okay. No extra credit, therefore no leeway, so make sure to do good in everything

Her practice exam's are NOTHING like the actual exam don't waste your time studying them. Her exams are impossible to pass the whole class except maybe 2-3 people actually pass. She makes her tests based on HER lecture notes not the book and she has like 30 slides per lecture. Also double check your test score, she graded my test wrong twice.

Her answer keys are frequently incorrect. She can barely navigate Canvas or Zoom. I hope for her own sake and the sake of future students that she retires ASAP.

There's no extra credit opportunities, no make up tests, and practice test questions don't reflect the actual test. Basically once you start slipping, there's no redemption arc. Exams do not reflect what is being taught in class or lab. Be prepared to teach yourself the to help fill in the material that is not covered or poorly explained. if you have prior knowledge with a solid math background this will help bridge the disconnection from the course to exam.
