if you are a bad test taker and you are good at projects, this is the professor to take. show up every day and you will have basically NO final exam.

if you have fewer than 4 or 5 absences, you dont need to take finals! lots of extra credit so its hard to fail in her class.

She gives open book tests that are easy. If you like doing alot of projects and group assignments this is the class for you. This is not an easy A but theres tons of extra credit you can do. Very nice & outgoing instructor. I got an A in the class!!

Class is wonderful, teacher is brilliant! She makes learning interesting, making it easier to do good. Her teaching style helps the material stick. The projects really make you think. This class helps you see things in a different light. Extra credit is available to help and is very insightful. Plenty of work is required, but it's fun.

She is one interesting fantastic teacher. She makes learning fun and unique, show up to her class so you can be updated with changes on calender. All her tests are online you get 2 chances. Some projects that are fun. Take her class you will get an A!!

if ur gonna take humanities...take it with her for sure ESPECIALLY during Maymester !!! i had alot of fun talking about interesting stuff in the class n its all sooo easy !!! I dont think i've had a easier class since middle school and shes sooo nice ! b.t.w she really is HOT !

I loved the humanities part of the class. The class was interesting and extra credit is unique. I liked the way she taught and made us think out side of the box and become opened to new opinions.

There are no words to describe how incredible this teacher is. You will cover a ton of material and do alot of projects - as long as you stay on top of your reading and go to class you will do great. This is a very fun class, but you will have to work at it sometimes - it is still very worth taking this class - enter with an open mind!!!

take her class.. it will be one of the best you've ever taken. she's kind, she loves teaching.. and it shows! the class was interesting she offered tons of extra credit.. i took it online and i wish i would have done it in person.. because i would have loved to have been in on more discussions. she wants you to do well in this class!!! I enjoyed her class most of the time, but she has a very secular view of Christians. Also, she is a feminist, and if you're a guy, you have to watch out not to offend her. She gives you a variety of assignments and extra credit, so if you do the work you'll get a good grade.

Great teacher, semi-easy class if you do what you're supposed to (reading, etc). A lot of the testing and assignments were done online, which I loved, especially since she had a very well done website. Lots of opportunity for extra credit. I actually ended up with an average of above 100%.

she's not big on grading as much as participation. She is hot.

if you miss only one class, you get this EASY final exam. great professor. loved her class. lots of extra credit. tests were great! you can take them over and over again until you get a good grade. it's a bunch of work, but you won't find an easy humanities class with less work, so take her.

Took Online. Some of the weekly discussions can be confusing but she gives lots of bonus points and extra credit. Also gives optional test reviews that usually help. Would take again...

By far one of the most awesome professors i have ever taken. She is soooo interested in art and culture and it really shows. Lots of extra credit, discussions, etc.....Class participation, museum visit, and presentation are mandatory.....Not an easy A by any means but if you actually want to learn something, take her!

Mindi is pretty much my most favorite teacher ever. She gives a bunch of homework but you learn so much. If you are a slacker then her classes are not for you and quite frankly she probablly does not want you. BTW, if you attend class and dont miss but 2 classes you have the easiest final ever. I will miss this teacher. Sincerely. D

She is a wonderful teacher! I took her over a maymester, and she made the class fun and exciting. There is a lot of group work, but if you show up and do the work it's nearly impossible to fail. She gives a lot of extra credit, and is willing to help you understand things if you need her to. Highly recommend her!

This class is ALOT of work. WAYYY Too many group projects. Easy open book tests. Lots of chances for Extra credit. She is a really nice lady and she will like you if you participate! I'm dissapointed I did so much work and only recieved a B, though. Would take again.

Extremely interesting class!!! Has some amazing power point presentations that must have took years to compile! She gives so many chances for extra credit and is really interested at pickin your brain. EASY EASY A!! It did seem as though she thought her class was the only one being taken because there were a lot of projects..but they were fun to do

Very interesting class, she is so into Humanities. I enjoyed the class very much and she lets you keep retaking the test on-line till you get a passing grade.

I think Professor Bailey does a great job teaching this course. The test and projects are not difficult, but you'll need to keep up with the class to stay in touch with what's going on.

Prof. Bailey is an expert in this field and is very passionae about it. It was a lot more interesting then I thought it would be. Don't be intimidated by the assignments, if you show up for class, and do your best you will make a good grade.

Melinda is a great professor, she really knows about the arts. The class is very hard though, she assigns too many projects. The tests are taken on the computer at home, but are very hard, they are publisher tests and no review is given. I made an A because if you perfect attendance you don't have to take the comprehensive final, saved me.

She was great! This was my first class and she definitely made things interesting. As long as you show up for class and actually participate you will get a good grade. There are also tons of opportunities to get your grade up. She was also helpful and always there if you had questions. :)

Melinda Bailey is by far the best professor I've ever had at Collin College. She knows what she's talking about and she really gets into her teaching. An amazing amount of work that can be confusing but if you simply follow directions, then there should not be any reason why you don't make an A. Provides a lot of extra credit. Test are timed, online and you can take multiple times.

i thought i was gonna fail this class but i got a or b i cant remember. there are several group projects and tests are online and you can test it as many times as you want.

Very fun class! There are a lot of group discussions, so it's a fun class to get in with a friend. Make the syllabus your best friend because she is not very clear with assignments. Attendance is very important to her, it's an easy A if you put forth a little effort!! Definitely take her!

She was a good teacher in a sense that she made class time fun.. but when it comes to doing actual work it is ALL outside of class. Do not take her if you have a job or limited time because of all my 5 core classes, she was the most time consuming with projects and bust work..

Excellent teacher!! she does have a lot of group participation which makes the class fun!! Even though I took her maymester she was fair in her assignments given but there was a board game that took a lot of outside class time... other than that shes hot!! so take her!!!

I thoroughly enjoyed this class. Professor Bailey really challenged us to think in a creative way that I believe will be beneficial to me later on in life. There are alot of projects but I enjoyed each one we did and I had alot of fun doing them. I would reccomend this course to anyone who is looking for something other than a cookie cutter class

The only way you will not make an A in this class, is if you don't do your work. Quizzes and tests are so easy! If you can read, listen, and follow directions you will do great. If you can't use your OWN brain, then don't bother. She is very clear and everything you need to know is in the syllabus or on the class callendar. READ THEM!!!

I took this class online during a summer semester. Professor Bailey is very passionate and very helpful but make sure you pay attention to the syllabus. If you just do the work with a little effort you will make an A. Some busy work, but not bad. can seem a bit disconnected (assignments) at times but over all enjoyable and easy.

Phenomenal! She makes learning Humanities so enjoyable. She is very aware of her surroundings and she is very knowledgeable of the past (history). Her class always leaves me thinking. She is very big on keeping creativity alive in schools and... she does a great job of it with her variety of teaching techniques. A professor worth having!

She was always so enthusiastic about teaching the class, and honestly I can say that I left class learning a lot more than I thought I would. It was more than just book knowledge. It was out-of-the-box thinking that I learned. It was always fun, and she was a pretty interesting person. She had a crazy amount of knowledge on the coolest things.

She is the best professor I have ever had! It's pretty much like she was born to teach humanities. She gives the best explanation of different views of how to view the world.

Professor Bailey is amazing. I took her class online, test are announced ahead of time. Assignments require time, as the instructions require a lot. Provides many opportunities for extra credit. Emails fast, and cares about the students doing well. Took this class as a recommendation and was well worth it! Didn't use the book.

Professor Bailey is great! She is phenomenal at replying to emails quickly and always makes sure you fully understand what you emailed her about. There is tons of extra credit (you can take each test up to 10 times), but a few assignments require some time and effort. I would recommend the online class. Optional final if you have an A. Awesome fashion sense and sweet! Textbook reading is done outside class. She focuses on activities/games and watching videos during class time. One journal due every week. During semester, one creative project, & one field trip w/ write up (& one other small project). Focuses on creativity. Responds right away to emails. Easy and fun class!

Professor Bailey is great. The class is structured like a game. Get 895 points and your done. Exempt from final exam and other work. After the first half it moves very quickly, there are lots of projects and simple Hw. All the tests are online with 10 attempts. Do the crosswords and you will pass the tests. They are the same! Lots of extra credit

Professor Bailey was an overall okay professor, she wasn't very clear on instructions most of the time, but did provide A LOT of extra credit. You could get up to 50pts and 25 on top of that for perfect attendance. Tests were online, but can take up to 10 times! Overall an easy class but work overload.

I loved my HUMA class with Professor Bailey! She gives tons of opportunity for extra credit. The quizzes are harder than you think they'll be and the class seems to get harder as the semester goes on. She is passionate about her class and you will learn a ton. There are a lot of working in teams and a lot of videos to watch and projects too.

Professor Bailey is a joy! Course set up like a game, allows you to tailor your learning experience. Once you reach 900 points you dont have to do any further work. 4 zooms, throughout. Weekly videos allow you to learn in an engaging way. Easily accessible and responds promptly to emails. She truly cares about her students. You will not registering

One of the best professors I have taken so far. Allows you to choose the assignments you want to participate in with a point system for the overall grade. Gives uplifting and motivational feedback. Felt bad for not doing more assignments after I had reached an A just to be more active in her class. Tons of extra credit options.

Professor Bailey is one of the nicest teachers I have had and she gives a lot of extra credit so that you can make up for any points you might have lost throughout the semester. Once you have gotten to 900 points, you are no longer required to do any work because you have already earned an A in the class.

Do not take this class in a shorten semester or online. I really liked Melinda as a person and know she is very well versed in her field. I took her in a month course and I suffered. She expects A LOT of work. Discussions can turn into 8 page essays and you have few days to get it done with 2 hours of videos. Her instructions are an Easter egg hunt

Professor Bailey is great with extra credit and makes it easy to earn an A in her class. She gives plenty of extra credit options to choose from so you can choose what interests you. As long as you put a little bit of effort into the papers she isn't too tough of a marker.

This online course was amazing! At first the syllabus seemed confusing, but it's set up to where there are 1300 points available, and you need to get 900 points to get an A. I was able to complete the course before Thanksgiving! Just put in a decent amount of time and effort. Professor Bailey was always super helpful and caring!

I really enjoyed Professor Bailey's class. The only thing I didn't like is that there were zoom meetings you had to attend, which I've never had to do for an online class. Her grading is based on points, so when you get 900 points you don't have to take the final. There is a lot of work, but overall it was a good class.

TAKE THIS PROFESSOR IF YOU WANT TO PASS!! I promise you its not a difficult class, you just have to do lots of discussions and the exams are very easy. She gives us lots of notes so its easier for you to guide you on the exams. I did take it online and personally i would recommend for you to take her.

Great Profesor! Easy A if you do the work, Quite a few discussions, but I enjoyed them. They were very engaging. Overall a great class!

A good professor just was a little harsh on grading but still had other hw that could help boost the grade. The only downside I saw was the mandatory zooms, some were hard to do since they were scheduled times so definitely keep that in mind. Also, she grades by points, not letters, so it was confusing at first but was a fun way to get the grade.

This course was engaging, Professor Bailey laid this out nicely. There is not too much work to be done; her tests are relatively easy and open notes, with multiple attempts. She also had scheduled zooms you'd sign up to for a grade. I would take her again! Take her if you want an easy A!

Prof Bailey has a unique, fun course! She rewards you if you put more effort, detail, and creativity into your work. Heads up, Discussions are fewer, way bigger, and make room for deep discussion/introspection. Multiple test re-takes says she believes in increasing student metacognition &that she believes in you/your ability to learn! No Zooms

Professor Bailey is fantastic and has a very organized course. Her grading is based on points instead of letters so you have to wait until the end of the semester to see your "real grade". She is great to communicate with if needed and gives multiple attempts on tests to help the student with comprehension. I definitely recommend taking this class!
