I think she is a great teacher, Her Internet class was easy to follow and she had lots of examples to follow and was helpful when you needed it. I would definately recommend taking her classes.

Easy "A" but there was way to much useless busy work misewell take the online class cause thiers no real point of going to class all the work is online

By far the most sweetest, caring individual I've ever met at TCC. You can't ask for a better teacher. HOWEVER, the class is A LOT of work which can be very exhausting! Most of the students in my class weren't able to get it all done. However, the homework you do is graded leniently. Still made an A. Take the intersession course.

Mrs. Smith is a wonderful instructor. She makes you think in class. Not many instructors will do that. She is always ready to help. She is always in her office and available for advice regarding the class. I had her for an ethics class and her knowledge of this subject in the business world is incredible. Would take her classes again.

Melinda is a greawt teacher. I took her for her 4-week business class. Not only is the class well organized (not too much or too less work), she has excellent communication and couldn't be sweeter. I'm so blessed that I got in her class this semester! And I couldn't recommend her more to someone that wanted to take an Internet business class.

She was great. Very helpful. Not hard to get an A. I got a B because I have too many jobs. (4) The normal student should get an A.

Her 8 wk internet class is a breeze. It can be a lot of work but none of it is hard. She gives easy extra credit. I learned quite a bit from this class.

At West, I had her Honors Intro to Ethics, Business Issues class. You must study for the online quizzes, they are tough, & keep up with Discsn Board. I was concerned about the group projects and such, but they became a wonderful experience I am so thankful for. She is a warm, wonderful, fun, great person. TAKE Her CLASS-you will never forget her!

Great class! took 8 week online fastrack. Super easy if you keep up with the work. You have to think with the writing assignments, but very fun!! Most of the work is you opinions. Ms. Smith is super sweet and very understanding, lots of extra credit and she will work with you. No reason everyone shouldn't get an A!

Took 8 week online class, very simple if you stay on top of the workbooks and quizes. quizzes are hard, Got a B, but I got tired of taking all the quizzes multiple choice so i just picked stuff. Good class though. Slow grader, I think she forgets about online classes

This professor is very friendly and helpful. You will do a little more homework and normal but most of it is designed in a fun format so it never feels like a burden. She is very creative in her teaching style and I really enjoyed her course. I highly recommend this professor.

Took Macro and Micro online 4 weeks each with this professor, it was a great class! A lot of work, but if you stay on top of it you will do well! She gives an extra credit assignment for each class that really makes you think, but they are fun. Definitely recommend this instructor!

This was my 2nd class with this professor and she is GREAT!!! You will enjoy her course and learn a great deal about the information. The books she uses are easy to understand, and the tests are easy if you completely read the chapters. I highly recommend this professor!!!

4 week class, took macro before this, very fun and easy if you read everyhing. I learned much, wasn't interested in econ at all before these classes. 14 chapters per class and it takes about 2 hours a chapter to complete. Half due at two weeks and rest due at the end, very self paced. The book can be used for both micro and macro,that's good!

Took her 4 weeks online economics class. It was a lot of reading but very easy!!! She graded quickly and had plenty of extra credit assignments. I learned a lot!

The quizes have some common sense questions, but the others are trick questions. A con about this professor is she does not give comments on your papers. Like on the business plan assignments, she post announcements and says everyone in the class could do better. She doesn't give individual feedback.

Took her 16-week internet course. Some quiz & workbook questions are worded tricky, but as long as you read them carefully, you'll get the right answer. Quizzes basically come straight from the book and workbook material. Several simple extra credit projects, so it's pretty easy to make an A even if you don't do great on every test.

I took this professor for 3 online classes. I made an A in all of them. I highly recommend her courses. All material is posted at beginning of course. Instructions are very clear. Plenty of extra credit.

Took both Professor Smiths Micro and Macro classes online. I received a B in both. I took both classes 4 week long. The assignments are very simple and beneficial. The workload is average if you use your time wisely. But the quizzes are hard. Study your chapter and take notes. Everything online but quizzes are timed and worded to confuse. Overall I would recommend her as a Professor. She's very organized, helpful, and is kind. Be ready to take the hard quizzes with very little assignments.

8 week online Business Ethics course which was instructed by Professor Smith & Professor Summers. I was interested in what this class had in store before it started & once it did it met & exceeded all my expectations. Great teachers, great experience. I'm a very analytic/critical thinker & after this class even more so. Definitely recommend!

At first I was worried because it was an 8 week accelerated class. But the assignments were easy to follow and she was always quick to respond to any questions. She makes sure you understand the material and offers plenty of extra credit. Overall favorite class of the semester.

Took the class online. The workload was easy to manage. Due dates were broken out into two chapters each. You were given three chances at the chapter worksheets, and one chance at each quiz. There were some discussion boards, but nothing difficult. A few extra assignments that were really easy.

I think I had trouble with this class because I had zero interest in it. I liked how the class was structured, though, and I completed it with a B. I would recommend it, the workload isn't too much for an 8 week class.

I took both her Micro and Macro classes, online and 4 weeks each. I didn't even buy the book for this class. I made A's in both. As long as you put the time and effort into this class and read the power points, you will do fine.

I took the 8 week online course even though Econ is NOT my strong point, but I made an 'A'. I have taken MANY online classes, but NEVER had an instructor so helpful and quick to respond as she was. She is AMAZING!Course work includes open book tests & workbook quizzes for every chapter, 4 discussion boards, and xtra credit.I HIGHLY recommend her!

Online 8wk class. NO EXAMS. 1 HW & 1 Quiz per ch (14 ch total). To get an A, I had to do the HW twice on every ch (3 attempts). HW 30-50 questions. Took over 1hr 1st attempt, 30-45 min 2nd attempt. Quiz seemed easy after doing HW, 10 questions, 35 min limit. Class broken into 4 sec w/ dis board due each sec and 1 other short assign due. Easy A.

Online 8 week course, very time consuming, but easy. I ended the course with a 99%. One workbook assignment and quiz per chapter, no tests. One disc board per section. She is an excellent instructor and very responsive. Definitely recommend.

I took both Micro & Macro in 4-week classes. I've taken almost all classes on-line, these were by far the hardest! Not an easy A. You have to work for it& put in the timE!,

Took her 8wk class, and loved it! Highly recommend. She is enthusiastic, clear, concise & responds promptly. All HW & quizzes online. Multiple attempts @ HW. Averages ~16-24 hrs/2wks to read, do HW & take quizzes. Lots of extra credit along the way! Not super hard, but if you put in the time/effort, you will pass w/ a good grade!

This was the EASIEST online class I have ever taken. It is a month-long course but Professor Smith posts majority of the assignments in advance so you can be done early. I was so nervous about taking an econ class but this class is so easy and Professor Smith was so helpful. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS CLASS FOR ANYONE :) Very helpful professor too.

hw assignments are easy. Make sure to read the chapters to understand the quizzes and help with discussion boards.

Professor Smith is an excellent choice. This was a two week class full of a lot of work but she was really easy to work with and encouraged us all the way. She truly wants her students to succeed.

I took her for Macro and I am taking her again for Micro in the fall. It was a 4 week online class, definitely a lot of work but it should be expected. Most assignments were very easy and didn't take a whole lot of time. Get multiple attempts. Was great at emailing back and had a great attitude. Never met her in person, but I would recommend her!

I had her for macro and micro in back to back 8 week classes. Very clear, concise instruction. 4 chapters due (workbook and test for each), 1 discussion, 1 other small project every 2 weeks and a couple extra credit assignments (do them-easy 20-25 points)through the semester. Very manageable. I found her to be very nice and would take her again.

I took her Fast-Track MacroEcon Course online. Really clear grading criteria. Easy homework assignments every two weeks, as well as discussion boards and extra credit assignments. Tests are relatively short (10 questions each) but they are tough. This class is an easy A with just a bit of effort. Take her!

8 wk online class. This Prof truly cares about your education. Her discussions are engaging and you may actually learn AND retain some of it... I know right?! Assignments are easy- have your book for quizzes as well. No big tests. Definitely take her for both Macro and Micro if you can!

I took Prof. Smith's online eight week Macroeconomics class and I loved it. While I am not a fan of economics in general her homework was easy and she gave quite a bit of extra credit. The due dates were spread out which was also really nice. I'm going to take her again for Micro.

What a great teacher! She is thoughtful and genuinely cares that the student grasps the concepts of the course. The class is 100% organized! You will read chapters from text, do workbook questions, and have quizzes. Yes, the quizzes are challenging, but there is ample extra credit to buffer, if needed. Professor Smith grades fair, and fast.

If you are a working mom the 4 week online class may not be for you. Professor Smith does answer emails quickly and gets every thing graded very fast. However, there is a whole lot of work involved. I thought there may be condensed assignments due to the 4 week format, however it seemed like every bit of 16 weeks of work.

I was scared to death about taking economics in general. After taking this course I'm taking micro with her as well. The set up was great and made things way more learnable than I thought. Not difficult but you have to do the work and complete the assignments. There are few chances for extra credit as well. Do the work pass the class. 8 week course

I love this professor, she was super nice and very helpful and replied to emails quickly. I took the 8 week online macroeconomics course and there was alot of material. As long completed them you got an A, just start them early to make sure you have time to complete them. There were no exams, but you learned alot.

I took Professor Smiths 8 weeks Principles of Macroeconomics class online and it was super easy just keep up with the due dates and you will be fine. She also responds to email very quickly.

All work is clearly laid out & scheduled with plenty of time to get done. No textbook needed, all notes and work done through online site. Grades fairly, gives opportunities for easy extra credit. Work is easy if you just power through and do it. Would take her again, super nice.

Professor Smith cared about her students passing. The coursework was doable, the assignments outside the online program were easy to understand and complete. She always reminded us when things were due through emails and announcments. She even emailed me on a personal matter when she saw I had won a scholarship. Very invested! Great teacher!

She lays out the whole class in advance. She gives two weeks in between due dates but assigns a handleful of assignments. Very easy to get everything accomplished!

Professor Smith's Macro Online Course was so amazing that I will be taking her Micro Online Class. Very caring. There's assignments due every two weeks, a couple discussion boards and NO TESTS! Do the work and you should receive over an A+, like I did. She responds quickly and is one of the better professors I've had in my college career.

Baically you just use learn smart software, shes very helpful if and when you need it and gives good feedback. EVERY assignment will let you redo it until you get a 100 so theres really no reason not to get an A+

Not a stressful class. The professor is organize and give you plenty of time to finish the assignments. Student have unlimited attempts on assignments to get the grade they want. No test/quiz. Easy A.

Online 8 Week Macro is very simple. Simply do the completion grade work and you already pass the class with a C. Assignments are very easy and there is plenty of time to get them all done. The only thing that I didn't like is that she won't grade the assignments until a week after they're due so if you finish early you don't get your grade yet.

A little confusing at times, but easy to work around. Easy A if you just do the work. If you pay attention, you will actually learn about microeconomics. There are extra credit opportunities if you need it. I was able to get a 99% easily in this class. Just. do. the. work.

I took Professor Smith for both Macro and Micro. Follows the syllabus. Assignments are not hard. Simply do the work and you will pass. Only one test at the end of the semester and a practice test is given for extra credit that is almost exactly like the final exam. Simple classes and she makes it even easier with the way she conducts her class.

Took this class and loved how organized it was! Easy A, IF you put in the work! I would recommend taking this course (even the short 14wk or 8wk)! Very manageable with a heavy load. The professor is by far one of the best Ive had to work with at TCC.

Prof. Smith has adapted to the online environment much better than most instructors. The weekly LearnSmart videos and assignments are graded for completion, and the other assignments/discussions provide real-world applications for the content from the videos. Extra credit assignments are practical and interesting. Not stressful at all; loved it!

I took this course online. The assignment due dates are clearly laid out and are due every two weeks. If you pace yourself, they are easy assignments where you can receive a 100% every time. If you do not pace yourself, it is doable to do it the night before, it just sucks because of the time commitment to certain assignments. Fast grading!

You can work super far ahead in this class, I finished the whole class in roughly 6 or 7 weeks.

RUN don't walk to take Melinda, she is the economics professor that you are looking for. Her class is so easy and assignments are short, no tests, or quizzes, and she lets you be creative. If I could I would take her again no doubt.

I took her 8 week course that had super simple workload with plenty of time to do them even in just this shorter time. If you miss out on 0 assignments you'll do well, but they do take a long chunk of time to do. Some have estimations of 3 hours to complete. But she gives extra credit and I finished with an A+ just DO THE WORK.

You have to take Melinda Smith for Macro!! She is the best professor and I LOVED how structured her class was laid out. I got married and was able to work ahead because assignments were given on the first day (8-week class). She gave extra credit and really cares about students. I am taking her this fall for Micro and have heard only the best!

Teacher only uses McGraw Hill Smart Books for assignments so prepare to spend at least 15 hours a week just clicking answers. Other then that the course is super easy, don't take 8 weeks, just take 16 weeks.

Professor Smith was great and I experienced my first online learning taking her class.I wanted to try to take an online class to see if I would like it. I'm not really for online classes, but her class was pretty good. Her work was rather easy, but it was very time-consuming. And be prepared to use connectEd homework which will take hours to finish

This was a simple course. I took both micro and macro econ back to back as 8 week classes. She used McGraw Hill connect for most assignments. The adaptive learning assignments were sometimes really long but you have plenty of time to complete them since her due dates are always 2 weeks apart.

Ms. Smith is great! She uses SmartBooks from McGraw Davidson. They do take a lot of time, but she gives you plenty of time to complete them. Do not wait until the last minute. If you do the work, you will get an A. There are no tests. It is all SmartBooks, videos with questions, discussions and misc. assignments plus occasional extra credit.

I cannot recommend professor Smith for microecon enough. I wish I would have taken this class during summer because of how the class was set up. Very easy to navigate and understand. Main advise would be to regularly check the tentative schedule and have reminders for assignments. Lastly, give yourself an hour+ extra for the smartbook assignements.

Took her for 4 wks Principles of Microeconomics during summer. Super easy. Down side is lots of connect assignments, be ready to spend at least 2 hours each day doing just the connect assignment. I was able to finish the class in 3 weeks. She also have a lot of extra credit. I even got to skip one of the duscussion because i had enought xtra credit

Take Professor Smith! I took her macro class this semester, and I already enrolled in her micro for the next. No finals or quizzes, just SmartBook assignments and a few other assignments. Extra credit opportunities. The first half of the semester has 4-5 assignments due per week, but in the second half, it's 4-5 assignments every other week.

I have taken two online classes with Professor Smith. Both classes have been pretty easy with plenty of time to complete assignments. She sends out reminders of due dates the week they are due. There is an online textbook we use for assignments, several discussion boards, and several Word document assignments throughout the semester.

I've taken Mrs. Smith for Micro and Macroeconomics now, both online. She's great! I already wrote a review for Macro, so for Micro, there are 5 assignments due every other week. Two video-with-questions, two SmartBook, and one written. No exams which is really nice. Responds to emails quickly. There are one or two extra credit assignments as well.

Professor Smith's online Macro class is very easy. All assignments are connect assignments and a few written ones that she grades herself. No exams. Grading criteria is clearly laid out and you can work ahead. I am very pleased with her class and I am taking her Micro class next semester.

I took an 8 week macro class and an 8 week micro class. She releases the next assignment block every Friday. If it weren't for that I️ would've finished my class in like 2 weeks. It is easy but I️ learned the material. The smart book is the hardest and only because it's time consuming. No tests, which is good for people like me with test anxiety.
