Her class is very interesting and her study guides are the exact test so if you do the study guides youll have no problem on the tests

Womack was so nice, and so much fun to take a class with! I recommend speech 102 with her because she understands what it's like to have speech fright. Warning: She tends to choose favorites- so speak up in class!!!

She is so nice and willing to help with anything ur confused on! take her-you wont regret it! Study for the final-she will give you a study guide which is EXACTLY like the final. i hated giving speeches but she grades well-you deserve the grade you will get.dont miss class tho-theres alot to learn-reading the book actually helps

Womack understands the fear of public speaking. She tells you the things you need to know about having a successful speech is a fair grader. Just make sure to study her text because the final is solely based on what you know about the book. I highly recommend her

this class was ultra boring, mostly because of the fact that she could explain everything in 20 minutes, but drags it out into 3 hours. really annoying waste of time. read the material and study guides and the tests will be generally easy.

Speech is everyone's most dreaded class. However Melinda makes everyone very comfortable. Took this class 3 years ago, and it has prepared me so well for the universities expectations for presentations and speeches. I have benefitted extremely from this class. Melinda is also the most committed & sweetest professors you will meet. Take her!!!!

The most fun class ever... her tests are completley predictable if you do the study guide. She is the most sincere professor ever and she cares about each individual student. If you work hard, she knows it and will give you the "A"!

She is a good teacher, but I do think she was rather demanding. It seemed as though she would assign a bunch of work all at once, instead of sporadically throughout the semester. Nice Professor but she did grade kinda hard and she expects ALOT out of her students.

She is very nice and understanding. Subject matter is easy and workload is light. The study guides might as well be an advanced copy of the tests. She is always available to help and answer questions. Fair grader. If you do the work you will get a good grade, if you slack you won't.

She is a very cool teacher she twitches a little form timt to time and she is very energetic and her class is really easy

Attendance mandatory, can only miss 2 classes then she boots ya out. Easy workload. Pretty easy tests (do the study guides). She's just super boring to listen to. But she's very dedicated and really wants people to listen and understand concepts.

Very Fun and interesting class. Learned about groups and working in teams. Very helpful, medium textbook use and she gives you study guides which are the tests. She is fun, down to earth and engaged with everyone. Late to class every now and then but did not effect the class. Highly recommend for apprehensive students about communication.

I really enjoyed her public speaking class. Yes, she is a bit scatter brained and never shows up to class, but she grades fairly and is very helpful. I originally signed up for 100 class, then realized I needed to be in 110. She switched me into her 110 class, even though it was impacted just to help me out. I really appreciated her compassion.

One of the easiest college courses I have ever taken. Really enjoyed the lectures and learned so much about communication. She gives you the questions to the test that are online prior to the test so it is hard for me to understand why some students did not do well in her class. easy class. you have to do three major speeches. two with credible sources. the test(easy) are from the book but she post a study guide. it could be a boring class but if u do what she says u can get an A

Professor Womack is a very interesting person who has a lot of great stories to tell. Unfortunately, she has the tendency to get off topic. Her tangents, while interesting, often put the class behind schedule. Also, she is infamous for missing class of short notice. Take that into account.

This lady cannot get out one sentence without stuttering. It's ridiculous. Not punctual at all. Probably has missed a month of class this semester. Her tests are relatively hard (that is, if you don't study... go figure). She is really nice, but I do not think teaching is for her.

She is a great teacher. Shes funny and very intresting. She works with her students to help them prepare for there speeches. If you read the book and actually research the assignments you will pass

Overall managable. Her tests are very hard. Goes over lecture quickly pretty much you are on your own for test prep . She grades very critically on all the assignment . A bit scattered brain. Not the best but managable ! She is a nice lady but might come across as rude at times when she is frustrated or tensed.

Nice lady but super boring lectures. If you try you can get an A. Unfortunate I didn't and received a C, professor Womack gives easy assignments and all you need to do is complete every single assignment and you will pass. Take her for an easy grade but be prepared to be bored for 3 hours. Many people in my class took naps during her lectures.

Do yourself a favor and take this class. Its so much easier in comparison to other speechcomm classes. She only makes you sit in a circle and share life experiences and its actually really engaging and laid back. The tests are very long and tough so be sure to study for them (the study guide is a real life saver).

The professor gives really interesting lectures, but she'll often get sidetracked when talking about something. If you want to get a good grasp of the material, you're going to have to read on your own and use the study guides. Just be sure to study, get involved in class, and do the homework.

I liked her communication class. Mrs. Womack is very organized with the content and makes sure her students pass the class. It is a very interesting course because the way it is taught is super engaging.

I took public speaking with her and it was just ok. To me, she seemed a bit disorganized. Overall experience was average, not 100% sure if I would take her again, but there are for sure worse choices.

Currently taking her online class and she is a very nice lady, super easy class, just need to make sure everything is done by sunday.

Melinda Womack was a joy to have teach this class. She cares a LOT and will help you out with anything you have a question about. There was a bit of writing to do, but she gives great feedback and won't make you feel bad about your work. She genuinely wants you to be a great public speaker. This is a professor to take. Intercession or not, easy A.

Womack was fantastic! She made the class fun and had great writing assignments. All tests were done online and you could retake them until the due date. The homework was also online through Connect; these assignments were extremely time-consuming but really helped when taking the test.

Professor Womack is very nice. Comm 100 consists mainly of connect assignment/quizzes, in class speeches, and lectures. Don't need to buy a hardcopy book as the connect program comes with a book. Womack does a great job explaining speech formats, providing feedback, and creating a safe and less nerve-racking speech environment. Take her class!

Took this class online for the four-week summer course and fairly easy/interesting. Lots of reading, but easy to follow (bc of online textbook highlighting everything). Homework is fairly simple and only have to do discussions or type a paper. Can take quizzes multiple times and final is a culmination of all of the quizzes. (Quiz questions online)

Melinda is an amazing woman, however, its not necessary to take this course not online. EVERYTHING is online. There is literally no need to show up for class except for quizzes and tests. The midterm and final are just the quiz questions you already did online. Super easy a and she really is a fantastic professor, but I recommend taking this online

Professor Womack has been one of my favorite professors at Santiago Canyon College, Her lectures are long during class time, but she tries her best to make the material relatable and interesting. Her classes have a lot of points (easy points) so it's nearly impossible to fail unless you do absolutely nothing.

Melinda is a very sweet professor. Her lectures are long and class feels as though it is dragging, but this subject is interesting so pay attention for your own sake! I enjoyed her class, if you do the assignments, you will pass. I had an A the entire semester and am finishing with one. Study for the tests, do the "share's", you will get an A.

I took this professor for an 8 week online course. There is 2 tests (not cumulative), homework and a quiz for each chapter, and a couple discussions. The homework and quizzes are really straight forward and easy. The tests are easy as well because she gives 4 hours to complete the tests. Overall I really enjoyed this class and this professor!

Professor Womack did a good job grading and used mostly the McGraw Hill Connect program for most of the assignments. You can keep up with the deadlines pretty well and she is a very fair grader.

Professor Womack has been one of the kindest professors I have taken so far. Her lectures are long, but I found them to be quite interesting. Also, dont buy the book-youll rarely use it other than to study for the exams, but if you take good notes, you wont need it at all. Make sure you do the study guides! Theyre almost exactly like the test.

Best online course Ive taken. Tests and homework straight from the book. Assessments can be challenging but fair grader. Prepares a mini video lecture for each chapter which in the absence of attending lectures is incredibly helpful. Of all the online course I took here (4) she is the best prepared and most responsive to online students.

You have to read the book in order to study for tests. Since there aren't that many tests in the semester your textbook will sit unused unless you refer to it for you speeches (which you should so you don't have to waste time googling what certain terms mean). She's a nice woman who doesn't mock you like some public speaking b*tchy professors might

Must buy access code. Graded by 11 chapters, 11 quizzes, 4 discussions, 3 skills tests, 3 surveys, 1 Midterm, and 1 Final exam. Chapters are like index cards. Retake quizzes 3 times (3% penalty). MIDTERM & FINAL ARE THE SAME AS THE QUIZZES, so if you do good on quizzes, you'll do great on the Midterm and Final. Overall, super easy.

Would Definitely Take this class again !

The textbook isn't used in class, but you DO need it in order to study for her EASY tests. The speeches you have to do aren't graded too harshly because she knows that we're not professional public speakers. She's one of the kindest people I've ever met. I can tell she has a truly genuine soul and cares about helping her students succeed.

Took her online class & it was super easy. It was very repetitive so I knew what to expect each week. Would love to take her class again. Very helpful and caring when you need help and replies fast!

Absolutely loved her! Simple and straight forward class. By far one of my favorite online classes Ive ever taken! You can totally get an A as long as you complete every assignment. Takes time but totally worth the effort cause it pays off!

Mrs. Womack really wants everyone pass understand. She makes YouTube videos that are very interesting. Definitely would take this class again. The book is mandatory be bought through her. This class is very lectured based but all from the textbook so make sure you invest in that. Really good at explaining the lectures and gives good examples to support the text.
