Easy A, she is a great Professor. I highly recomend her.

It's True, she's a good teacher, has a way of making the class a family. Hard part is grasping the argument concepts of writing essays. If your essay does not stay focussed on concept, she will catch it. However, she allows rewrites. She seems to know her stuff, will not accept late wk unless she says so. Ask for examples, they help. Great class interwoven with equally great humanities issues. Course work was discussed thoroughly and she's concise as to what and how she wants things done - I only wish my semester was longer, I could've learned alot more about myself and humanity in general. Arguably one of the best and most helpful instructors on campus.

The class starts out a little rough, like said above,it is difficult to grasp the concept of writting an argument paper. Towards the end my writting DID improve! Shes a great instructor just starts off a little hard at the beginning!

She's a funny woman!! She does that whole "find the hidden meaning crap" but she is relatively easy! There are alot of discussions and she's not too demanding with essays when it comes to length and she gives you plenty of time.

I had a different perspective on what Fresh Comp was all about. If you can get through her lectures with their hidden meanings, write the essays exactly as she wants them, them you will get out with an "A" Her humor is a little strange but she has a way of teaching you without you realizing it.

Can't believe anyone can have as much energy as melinda, at 630 am she's hyped and ready to go. very cool teacher

She is very energetic at 630 in the morning which makes it alot easier to stay focused. she also has a very creative way of looking at things, and she brings alot of topics to dicussion. i enjoy her class!(as much as anyone can enjoy a class that early! or at all) lol

Fun teacher very helpful and is able to get across with out making you feel stupid. Awesome lady who knows her stuff. She isn't an easy A but if you put a little effort out at all you will earn a good grade. I got an A.

Melinda has a way of intergrating social issues into her teachings. This makes for a VERY interactive class. You will be writing alot, but it makes for a better learning expirience. Question everything! (she knows what this means)and so will you.

She is a very dedicated teacher. I had her one semester and Mr Byars the next...what a combo!!! Plus, I could just sit in her class and look at her for 2 hours...hoooootttt!!!

My second class with her. I would take more if I needed them....I liked her with longer hair though. Knows her stuff

She is awsome. I was worried at first beacause I hate writting. She encouraged us to wite about what we know and what we like. I got an A in her class. She does not ask for much. She made the class very fun.

I took an internet course with her an it was a breeze. I got a A. She is always lets your know in advance what the assignemnts are and is very helpful if you are having problems. You will need to do a couple of essays but they are easy! I am taking her again for 1302.

shes a great teach and really knowledgeable not an easy class at all but if you work hard shes down to help you out where she can reallly fun and super smart...take it if ya like writing shes gives it out after spring break but totally worth it !!!

There are a lot of papers to write but that's expected in this class. She lets you pick each topic and gives you plenty of freedom for creativity. We had a lot of great class discussions. She graded fairly.

Easy teacher. very nice. helps you out with any problems. i took her internet 8 week class. i really liked her and would take her again. i would tell anyone to take her.

I took this class on line flex. She is a great teacher. You can e mail her and she will respond. Do your work and you will make an A.

She was GREAT! Totally fair, her assigments were reasonable, and we were able to write about things that we KNEW about so it made it that much easier. As long as you do the assignments you will get credit. She was very understanding and I felt like she really had a genuine interest in helping all of us do well and pass the class.Highly recomended!

Omg! I loved her. I took her on the internet first flex. It was my first time in school and i loved it. She was so nice and the work was soo easy! take her if you want a good teacher and good grade!

She is extremely helpful and tries to be respectful to all students. The class isn't easy and she is fair in the grades she gives. Attendance isn't mandatory but by missing in class assigments it can mess up your grade. She is a good teacher and I would recommend her for anyone taking English 1301 and 1302.

She was such a good teacher! I took her flex online class, the work was very light for a flex class. I highly recommend! Seriously, she is the best!!

She's alright, not necessarily the best teacher, but not the worst by far. I can't comment on how "easy" her work is because she's teaching english. She expects a lot of writing but that's what Freshman Comp 1 entails. I wouldn't take her again unless I had to.

Overall, her class was good. If you are looking lof an easy grade, do not take her class! I was not very impressed.

Amazing teacher overall.

I took her internet class during the summer. She is a good instructor but there is quite a bit of work involved but this is college and summer classes are always extremely intense. As long as you do your assignments and show effort you will pass her class. Overall it was a great class and I would take her again.

She is really nice and sticks to the syllabus deadlines she has. She explains things pretty clearly and her papers were extremely easy. She likes asking about what people think about things that are going on, how was their weekend, etc. Only thing I didn't like is that she doesn't respond to emails quickly.

Overall an easy teacher. Her assignments were pretty straigt forward. A lot of writing, but that's what to expect it being a COMPOSTION class, and a bit fast pace but because I had taken it as a Summer Flex Two course, online. Always willing to answer questions but takes a bit to answer back. Overall I'd take her again.

Great Professor. A lot of writing but all of the assignments were fairly easy and she gives plenty of time to complete. Will help you with anything you need. She is very fair to all students and is pretty funny also. Highly recommend.

Was a really good professor. I learned a lot from her as far as my writing abilities go. She does take a long time to grade though. My only problemis she discusses race WAY too much.

Lots of assignments! Took flex. If you are taking another class watch out. It is very time consuming but it's English comp. All assignments have a deadline or 50% off. Teacher is great though, replies to questions right away. I got an A in this class.

Great instructor overall. She's very honest and a bit blunt somewhat strict and likes the class to be particpant. Do the work and turn everything in on time and you'll do just fine. Lots of assignments, essays, and very time consuming. She also gives time in class for homework/make up work.

Not a good professor. Random, unexpected due dates. Lazy with grading. Harsh with grading. Friendly, I guess.

She isn't very fast when it comes to grading but when it came time to answering my emails and helping me, she was quick. Sometimes things are due on Wednesdays and sometimes things are due on Fridays. Just make sure you know when. I liked her!

The assignments the teacher gave were very simple, but completely unrelated to the subject itself. If you are a very opinionated person this is not the class for you as she makes you watch lots of controversial material throughout the semester. Overall it is a very easy course and she is very willing to help you with your assignments (if you ask).

Great teacher

She takes awhile to grade, but overall I really loved her. She helped me critique a paper for another class and took time to help me prefect it. If you participate and do the work, you will pass. She made me a better writer for sure.

Took online class and it was nothing but essays and online discussions due every week. Never any real elaboration on why the subject we were writing about was important or relevant but overall pretty easy to pass.

Good class, essay only grt longer as semester progresses. Failry easy topics, but hard grading. Book was only homework readings, that most of the time got pushed back on assigned date. Fairly easy class but its a must to keep up with work if not you will fail. Teacher there to help you if you ask.

Amazing teacher. She let's you out early a lot and pretty relaxed. Her grading of essays though is really tough but just do all the homework and keep most of it and you will get A in the class.

Professor Melinda was absolutely amazing, she taught me how to really write and enjoy writing. Now when I write it looks professional and my grades are always A's when I write for other classes. She was always willing to clarify things and get on a personal level to help each student. 10/10 Would reccomend

I took her online class.. It's really easy to get a good grade. Most of the work is just turning in your assignment. There are a lot of papers to write but it IS an english class. So it is to be expected.

She was amazing!! You do have a lot of papers to write, but they are easy and enjoyable. I would love to take her again. So funny and caring. Will go over anything you need!

I wasn't a fan of some of the topics of our assignments, but Professor Zepeda is a great teacher. She gives ample opportunity to make excellent grades, and is really detailed in her feedback. I would absolutely take a class with her again and highly recommend her classes to other students.

Professor Zepeda is a great professor. She does not grade hard at all! She will walk you through the writing process. She is so nice and sweet! If you need help, she is right there by your side!

I loved this class!! I took 1301 online and now I wonder if Prof. Zepeda teaches comp II because if so, I'm totally taking it. She's amazing, it was an EASY A if you just did the assignments.

great professor. can be confusing at times. Good amount of homework and essays.

Shes super nice, and you can tell that she enjoys teaching, but sometimes its confusing when it comes to knowing what she expects from you in essays. I wish she wouldnt focus so much on content rather than spelling and grammar. There were many papers to write, but it was alright. I do like how she challenges us to think outside the box.

Took her online class and it was fairly easy. Very interesting topics to write about so it wasn't boring. Easy grade, just do the work and turn the assignments in on time.

Despite all the negative comments, I loved this class and she was very helpful with all assignments. I felt she connected with us on another level when talking and getting into class assignments. It made the overall classroom experience fun and it made me want to continue to attend. Also, she graded our work on the spot as she review it.

Taking her for MayMester, So far she's been great. Easy and she's so helpful she even gave us her cell phone to text with questions.

I took her Flex I 1301 ENGL course. Easily the best English professor I've had. We had 4 essays and along with the essay she requires you to complete other smaller assignments that help you complete your essays. At times, she did take bit long to grade stuff but it wasn't a big deal for me. She also responds promptly to emails and was overall nice

Took this course as a Flex II online and it was the best decision I could have made. We had 4 essays total and mini-assignments for drafting. She gives solid feedback and is quick to grade.

Very straightforward with the essays, just turn in what is told to be turned in that day and you can easily pass with an A. Structure your essays around the outline she introduces you to and you'll have no problem with writing an essay.

She is very professional and she will help you to get better.

She is amazing. I took her for a flex ENGL1301 and tried to register with her again for 1302 but the class is full :( She gives great feedback. As long as you do what is assigned and submit - she grades pretty easy you'll get an A. She is very active in all discussions as well. Easy to reach and communicates everything to you.

Professor Zepeda was great! I took this class as a Flex course. As long as you follow her grading criteria you'll pass! She gives really good feedback & is straight forward. Very organized and easily accessible.

Focuses on the topic but at the same time adds humor to the class

Ignore Negative reviews!! Professor Zepedas' Eng 1 was my favorite class that I've taken. She allows you to pick your own topics for your essays. She grades most assignments fairly quickly except for essays which take a Lil longer. She's understanding and makes an effort to get to know her students. I will be taking Eng II with her in the spring.

Ms Zepeda is an amazing professor, She cares about her students. you get to choose your own topics and she is flexible on grading if you put the work in. She takes the essay outline apart which allowed us to work on the essay week by week, that kept me really organized and less stressed during the writing process. Recommend 100%

My all time favorite. Professor Zepeda made things interesting by speaking on topics that are current to this day and made it so where its relatable so we would be interesting. Loved the topics and what we wrote about. Will definitely want her as a professor again.

She is an amazing teacher. Her class was laid back and we were still able to get a lot of work done. She gives pretty good examples on information and clear on what the assignment is. She is also fare when it comes to grades. She is also pretty understanding. I liked her class very much.

I totally recommend Prof. Zepeda for ENGL 1302! She has hw assignments due before every class, but is not a tough grader at all. Only wrote two essays towards the end of the semester, and final project was a quick group presentation which she gave everyone 100 on before we even presented. She is caring and you can tell she loves to teach!

took her for a maymester (3 week course) she is very well orientated with dates. Her modules is everything you need and there's only 2 argument essays (4-5 pages) and 6 discussions that are mainly question based. She provides contact information for questions and responds fast.

Prof Zepeda was amazing! Lots of reading and essays but she makes the assignments so easy to understand which is great being an online student, very well-explained assignments.

Professor Zepeda's class is manageable if you stay on top of the work. The assignments can be tedious, but she grades fairly. Using tools like unstuck ai helped me prepare efficiently. Overall, a solid class option.
