The tests aren't hard they are just philosophical questions and you answer them based on your moral views. She only really uses the book for case study presentations, otherwise, she writes terms on the board. I recommend her!!

OK, I had her in the mini term in the summer too. Got an A. Yes, she did give hw every class,and yes, you will hava to buy the book for the class. All that is true. What the other comments aren't saying is that the class is EASY. Its an easy A. You just have to do the work like any other class. I do recommend this teacher.

This woman is an intellectual, thought provoking professor. I absolutely loved her class. I took Philosophy 1 and 2. Got A's both times. I can say, those who drop her class, who don't 'understand', with all due respect, are people who don't THINK, are lazy, and have a short attention span. Prof. Lammey explains in much detail, crystal clear.

6-weeks online class. Discussion Forum assign.'s, Reflective Logs, & Quizzes due every wk. Final only, no other tests. Study all of the quizzes but she will add something from the book that was not on the quizzes to try to make it harder. Got an easy A. Answered emails quickly at 1st, towards end longer,had surgery. This class I find so boring. I took this class as a mini term in order for me to graduate, she take attendance before and after class, also speaks non stop about boring topics does not make this class interesting, and shes totally distracted by the clock on the wall. If you must take her other than that choose another teacher for PHI.

She is very enthisiastic and try to help you as much as she can. She takes attendance at the begining and at the end. It counts for ur grade, so show up on tine and dint leave te class before time. I think she loves to teach and she is working on your interest but people, you need to do your homework because she is able to help you but you are the one taking the class. Professor Lammey will help her students as much as she can. Her class is not hard in terms of homework but the final is a hell of 35 essay questions she wont prepare you for. Other than that, be there on time, dont live early, do the HW and turn in the paper (at least 5 pages with very specific outline) and you should be fine

Took the online class. Lots of work, discussion, reply to a post, reflective log and quiz every week. But she communicates a lot via emails and is quick to respond to email questions too. I totally recommend her for online. You definitely need to use your book. She puts powerpoints but they're like bullets.Read and you will pass easily.

She assigned two HW assignments each week, you had to be in class on time and stay the entire time for attendance. Overall her class was easy, the assignments did not require much reading, but all she does is talk from the moment she walks through the door till the last second of class. I did learn and some of the information was useful to me.

I took the blended mini term course. Every week we had a homework assignment online based on the chapter(s) assigned which were pretty easy and a short online quiz. In the class, she spoke... a lot, but she's fun to listen to. Had a midterm and final which she reviews and an essay. Great teacher who loves what she does. I Highly recommend!

Looking for a nice easy class? GET HER CLASS. It was super easy! Although lectures are long, she goes into detail about the material. Expect three assignments every week, a weekly assignment, a reflection, and a quiz. The quizzes are vocab. words from the text so its super easy. Dr. Lammey was my critical thinkingethics professor. Her class overall was easy. She talks a lot though but she knows her stuff. She's actually the writer of the book we use in her class. I took her as a mini-term in Summer A. Attendance is mandatory so don't miss she will deduct 20% off your final grade. We had 3 assignment every week.

She spent first 2 meetings out of 6 (6 hrs total) talking about how little time we had. Also, her class is more of a lecture than discussion format. Do homework, is a big piece of your grade. She will assign hwk every class (A lot of writing). Hwk and assignments 50% Final 10% attendance 20% research paper 20%. She will give you all the answers for the final. Just pay attention and write what she wants to read and you will be fine. She wont waste any minute of her class and will talk for hours

Lammey was a great teacher to take for critical thinking, she was very clear on what she wanted for homework, she gave all her homework on Blackboard and all relate back to the critical thinking book which she wrote herself. She reviews the homework at the beginning of class. There was only one test and it was very easy if you pay attention.

You can see her passion in the way she speaks about a subject, and the ease of recalling information is like asking her name and address. It is incredible. Homework is weekly, but extremely simple. Amazing Professor I took her for political philosophy at a different diversity and he was amazing and when I knew she was teaching philosophy here and I had to take this class I took it again with her . I only missed class twice and I got 88% for attendance but ended up with an A as a final grade because of homework.

I took her blended class and she always graded things the following week so that you could keep up with your grade. The assignments were fairly easy and so was the final. I took the 6 week summer term, you do have a small quiz at the end of each class and she lets you use the notes, very easy. Final at the end same questions from the quizzes and weekly assignments where she just gives you credit by turning them in. Yes there is hw every week but a 5 year old could do it and get an A or a B she is literally a sweetheart she talks so much that the class just flys by and isnt very strict just do your work and show up. She let us use a cheat sheet for test in one of the classes I took her for but not the other but the classes arent rocket science TAKE HER.

I highly recommend taking her class. She has a total of 3 quizzes and 12 weekly reflections logs/textbook assignment HW due every Monday. She does reviews before her quizzes to prepare you. You will need her textbook (rent it in the Hialeah campus). She is kind, and understanding, but like all teachers she will get upset if you talk during class.

Dr. Lammey is an amazing professor. I took her for both PHI 2010 & 2604. You will get 2 assignments a week, some are easy and some take time. She usually goes over the answers in class. It might be a lot if you take both classes the same semester. There will always be some type of exam. Either a final or 3 quizzes. But she gives a review for each.

She explains all assignments and upcoming quizzes, so one would have to be incredibly lazy to fail her class. Even though it was a condensed course, it never felt overwhelming. Just show up and put in the effort.

A fantastic professor! Her grading criteria is by far the most clear it gets. Do not continue your search, take her!!

Took her class online. Very organized blackboard she tell you what she expects 2 quizzes which you have a guide for very hard to fail. You have to write a lot but is easy plus its not all weeks but every other week and weekly check in. Take her you wont be disappointed.

AMAZING professor! She gives A LOT of work (that she really reads). I took her completely online and she gives detailed and clear instructions on assignments. She even uploads vids once a week explaining the modules. I enjoyed her class even with all the work. Would definitely take her again.

Take her!! This professor is really caring and nice. I took her online and it was a lot of work week by week but it wasn't too bad. Only two quizzes, nothing was proctored.

Work is easy but it can be a lot. Usually doesnt grade papers until the end of the semester which can be frustrating. Overall, shes good. Id take her again.

The class is very easy and self explantory. The only thing I didn't care for was the weekly check-in's, we weren't allowed to do them in advance. Quite a bit of work but easy to do. She is super nice and easy to reach, would take again.

A very kind professor, you can tell she is very passionate about what she teaches. She's organized and sets up an agenda for every class regarding what she will be discussing. Quite a bit of assignment which takes some time and some brief un proctored quizzes which she reviews during class. I recommend her the course is pretty easy and interesting.

She tells you exactly what to expect in her syllabus. Do your work on time & you'll get an A. She takes every last minute of the class lecturing. Don't expect to get out early. EVER. She's kind, understanding & passionate about her subject. 2 unproctored tests, weekly discussions & bi-weekly question assignments. I highly recommend taking her class

She was a great professor, the assignments had a decent deadline between one another, and were not hard. You had to read and write a lot, but that's expected from any philosophy class. The lectures are great and interactive, but I understand if some people find them boring because of the content.

Great professor !! Really engaging lectures that sometimes include movie references. There is a fair amount of work that consists of weekly check ins and readings, but overall pretty simple work. Great person, and she also occasionally shares her own funny personal anecdotes !!

I took her class for the summer term and found her class to be entertaining. she would speak for almost the entire class but gave us a chance to chip in what we thought. she gave a 10-minute break in the middle for the students to relax and walk around.

Don't believe a SINGLE person who gives this adorable lady a bad review. She's so nice, understanding, and lenient. She really just wants to talk about philosophy all day. Sweetest professor I've ever had at Miami Dade Hialeah.

The rate before mine HAS to be from the person (and I am using that word very generously) who reported Dr. Lammey to the Dean because she had to miss 3 days because of health problems. Lammey is one of the kindest professors you can ask for. Wish she could have continued teaching this semester instead of replacing her with a lackluster professor.

Professor Lammey is the most sweetest and nicest lady ever! She likes for students to engage in the conversations. She is very talkative! Although, she does take time to grade the homework, she'll get it done. It is somewhat of a handful of discussions, three papers, and non-proctored midterm and final.

She as a very nice person, the class as such very boring, the assignments very easy, a very easy A.

DrLammey is a sweet professor. I take her online course, its simple and she has clear criteria. One reading summary and inquisitive hw for each module, 4 discussions overall & a proctored final. She grades slowly, but she will grade it. I have had no problems with this course, I would take her again.

Professor Lammey is a kind and engaging instructor. The workload can be heavy with weekly check-ins, readings, and exams, but she makes the material interesting. Using resources like Unstuck study helps with study prep. Overall, a solid class.

Very sweet professor. She lectures a lot but it's not too bad. A total of 3 super easy quizzes which are based on what she talks about in class, so take notes. You have a non-proctored midterm and final and she gives you the option to turn in a review for extra credit. You also have one paper to do. Very easy class to pass.

Great professor, encourages class participation in discussions, very sweet and educated. I would recommend to take her class if ur looking for an easy A and laid-back interesting class.

I am SO glad I chose this professor! I had her independently, and all of the written assignments were super easy to do, and she does not make you write all that much! The quizzes are also easy, and they're 10 questions, so it shouldn't take up much of your time. She also gives good feedback and replies to your inbox emails pretty quickly. 10/10 :)

I enjoy her online class. Lots of reading, writing and reflecting on topics, but very light and entertaining.

a sweet, caring, professor. took her as a miniterm in summer A and passed with an A as well LOL. she's super sweet and her class was really interesting. take her as a mini term so it's not super overwhelming, it was a short, sweet, and simple class.

Easy A, just do the homework and go to class.
