Great professor. You have to pay attention to everything she says during her lectures. She tells you what's going to be on the test, but I recommend you to still read the chapters. The textbook is mandatory so please make sure you purchase it ASAP. I'm not interested in government one bit and I still managed to get a "B" Take HER!

Great Professor! Reconsidering my major after this course! Should be listed as Top 5 Professors at MDC. She's really clear about everything, and funny with her way of teaching. Really gets students who would otherwise be uninterested to pay attention to her lectures. Assignments are hands on, she tries to avoid Tests and replace them with Debates.

I took her class the semester she moved to Miami. I really didn't know what to expect, but I was happily surprised. She is an excellent professor with a clear way of explaining the material. Textbook is a must! Don't be late for her class or she will call you out on it. Missing class will put you behind, so attend! Easy if you study! Easy A!

Her activities are really interesting! I also enjoyed the project about the african countries! Her class is easy to pass! However, You need to STUDY HARD for her tests! Also, do every extra credit if you want an A!

I really enjoyed her class. The only grades were 4 tests and one group project about 3rd world countries in which you come up with solutions for their problems. You can tell she enjoys this subject. She's always saying little factoids which I found interesting. I definitely recommend her. Don't miss class. Don't leave early, she'll mark you absent.

Great Professor!!! a lot of work to do for her classes but I'm not complaining because it helped me understand the subject matter better. I took her for 3 classes and all I can say is that she is the best Political Science Teacher at Miami Dade College. She loves the subject and loves her students. I still come to her for advice!!

American Federal Government was fun with her. takes interest in everyones personal effort, and strives to be as clear and entertaining as possible. If you just study a bit and pay attention in class you should do fine.

Best professor ever, the class is hard but she pushes you to do well. She won't give you all the answers and won't grade easy but if you ask for help she will give it. Attend class every day, participate and you will only need the book for the 2 exams.

This class is pretty much lectures no work or assignments. Take good notes. test are what she lectures, study and its easy. One project at the end of semester that is really easy. Shes a cool person and cares about her students, she clear and understanding

if you're in school to learn abt something then take her. if you're here just for an easy A then she's not the professor for that. her papers, her topics and evrythng she basically throws at the students taking specifically this class is so hard but it is what made it so interesting for me. she makes you analyse n think of things you nvr thought of

She is a great professor. She lectures for 4 tests and also assigns a group project. She gives the class study guides before each test. You do need to study from the book a little bit and give max. effort to the project. Overall, her class was easy and awesome.

Shes really strict about attendance but shes really nice, and helps you out when you need it. Even though she goes over the chapter READ THE BOOK. Take great notes and youll be fine.

This semester I took all online classes. I seriously have trouble showing up to classes due to my hectic schedule. If you're like me and like managing your own school hours to be doing work and turning in assignments... this class is perfect. She is straight to the point, assignments and tests are on the calendar. Plenty of time to complete. Trust

Great professor. Yes she is hard as others have said but this is college. It is supposed to be hard. I also took her on campus and she is great. Many comments seem to refer to online courses which I do not know about. From what I have heard all online classes require more busy work so stop complaining.

I really enjoyed this class. I worked hard and I did well. The criticisms leveled against Dr Buehler here are completely mystifying to me. It's not the easiest course, but she is more than fair in her grading. The students complaining here might want to reevaluate whether college is right for them. Basic attention to spelling/grammar may also help.

Class is based on active participation. The simulations are engaging and fun but tough. The previous comments seem to be from people that want the easy path in college. GROW UP!

Dr. Buehler completely changed my perception of government during the course of this semester. She is knowledgable and gives lectures in a manner that makes you want to listen. I am not even a government major and Im studying biology but I actually like this class and professor. She is opinionated but she is talking about politics so it seems necessary. Plus students ask her for her opinion.

Dr. B was the most inspiring and passionate professor I've ever had. I went in to the class terrified because I know it is usually a difficult topic but I have not had one regret. Although it was a tough class I would the class again in a heart beat. Definitely the highlight of my semester. Probably the best professor I've ever had.

I will miss this class. Politics is a subject that I did not know much about but Dr. Buehler helped me appreciate it. I cannot say enough about her as a professor and person.

We will either love her or not because she gets to the point and doesn't let you slide. My recommendation is don't slide because you should take at least one class with her. You will work (and by that I mean think).

She's fantastic. Don't mess around in class, participate in the simulations and lectures, study for the tests and you'll be fine. She's super understanding too, and really tries to help out and she totally appreciates her students. Would 100% recommend taking her.

She's incredibly understanding and kind, but don't think that means you can slack off; Work for your grade and participate as much as you can (most of all in simulations). Do not procrastinate on the essay, keep up to date with the news if you can. read the textbook, and enjoy.

I took Dr. Buehler for INR and I can honestly say she is a great professor, there is no doubt she is a genius in her field. She is very personable and always leaves you thinking. Her class is difficult, she expects you to produce good work and go beyond "simply meeting the requirements," but it is worth it. Study and you will pass!

I never took a class like this before where the entire class is discussion based. I really got to know my classmates and the professor. I felt like my opinion mattered and grew to understand and appreciate history and European politics.

Took Am Govt online with Dr. Buehler and the class is very straightforward and engaging, which is unusual for an online class. As long as you dont miss deadlines, you will do well. One proctored exam, three other exams, chapter quizzes and a couple of essays.

All around a good teacher and person. Her lectures are engaging with the students and very funny. Makes you want to show up to her classes. Go to class and participate in the in class discussions as well as on blackboard. Study for the test and you should pass. If you slack, you will most likely fail.

I had this professor for an 8 AM class and i LOVED this class so much i didn't mind waking up early and going to class. Class discussion are the BEST! She's super funny and an overall great person to talk to. She's very inspiring, one of the best professors I have had in my 2 years at MDC. Took her for summer term, wished it had lasted longer. :(

This class was more then I thought it would be. We talked a lot about current events, history and theory. The simulations and debates were the best part. I would take another class like this again in a heartbeat.

I dont think this is an easy class to teach given what is happening in our country right now but Dr. B makes it work.

I fell deeper in love with my major, IR, after taking this class. Dr. B really gets you out of your comfort zone and helps you to understand the world as more of what you've just grown up being taught. Her papers kicked my butt, the prompts were brutal and complicated, but she gave me A's on all of them and it was such a satisfying accomplishment.

Dr. B changed my life. I was working 2 jobs and living out of my car and stopped going to class. She called me and asked to meet with her and I did. I told her what was going on and she said that I wasnt alone and come back to class. She helped me find a place to live, a better job and helped get me back on track. I wouldnt be where I am today.

This was the class I was dreading this semester but then I met Dr. B. Very generous with her time. Funny. Cool t shirts. And we talked about real life things.

I have never taken a class like this before and I will probably never have one like this again. I think everyone should take a class with Dr. Buehler, especially one like this. I got to know my classmates through all of the class discussions and simulations. I am going to miss this class.

No sure about the hate in the last comment about Professor Buehler. She is very encouraging and understanding. As for her favorites show that you care. Thats it. Its not hard to like her or her classes.

I took this class online and it was what I expected.

I love her. I love how she gets you thinking about everything from money trails to something that happened a century ago like you would not believe how we went from Z to A so quickly! We had a paper, 2 simulations, and 2 exams. Learn your vocabulary, be good at research, and vocal about your opinions. It's cake. P.S. Be a problem solver.

Takes forever to replay to emails. Tough essays grader. She said our 3 essay will replace our midterm grade and didnt do it. Quizzes almost every week

I loved this class. I love this professor. I didnt initially want to take this class but am so glad that I did!

Doctor Buehler is a special one. Dont get me wrong at the beginning I didnt care, but shes one to care about her students and she sees that you are worth it shell help you. She is tough, you cant get there late not even 3 min, she cares the most, about participation, youll have to talk. Other than that 1 or 2 papers. 1 or 2 test.

You feel comfortable talking about controversial topics in this class which I think is difficult to do. Dr Buehler encourages everyone to speak there mind no matter the perspective. It is nice to be able to do this.

She is not your typical professor because she actually wants to know what you think. You have to think for yourself. I have never talked in a class as much as I did because I really wanted to.

I changed my major to political science because of this class. The class was comfortable and I found myself engaged with the topics and my classmates.

Let me start by saying that I am a nursing major. Bio is my thing, not politics. But wow. This class is my favorite that I have taken at MDC. The simulations were intense and fun. I can honestly say that this experience has shifted how I see society and the world.

A true gem of a professor, extremely personable and truly loves teaching which makes students happy to learn from her. She is not a fan of tardiness/absences so try to avoid that, but if their is an emergency talk to her and you're good. This is a difficult class and requires your best but is also my favorite to date, which speaks highly of Dr. B.

This was the hardest class Ive taken at dade but Ive never felt more accomplished when it was over. If youre not a huge talker take advantage during your group time to talk and always do all the discussions online. Dont be afraid of her or others in class just work hard and youll get an A.

I took Dr. B for INR2002 & CPO2100. I've never worked so hard for a class & felt so rewarded and accomplished at the end of the semester. You HAVE to talk in this class. 1 paper and 1 midterm paper. No tests. 2 simulations. Do your research for the simulations & write on the discussion board! I'd take another class with her if I wasn't graduating

I just finished a 6 week session of this course and I cannot speak more highly of Dr. B. I learned to speak my opinions on controversial political topics and now understand a bit more why the world is the way that it is. Participation does matter but there are lots of opportunities. This is by far my favorite class ever.

A lot of homework and quizzes BUT this isnt a surprise as she does teach a heavy subject. However, she makes it as easily as possible and replies back very quickly if you need help. I took her online for POS and for INR throughout different semesters and if I was able to Id take her again. Made everything very easy and shes a very nice person

Took this class online, there's 4 modules each has 4 chapters except the last one. modules consist of 4 chapters, quiz for each chapter, 1 pretest and test(two chances), for module two the test is proctored . 2 MANDATORY ESSAYS if you do well on both you don't need to do the 3rd one. tough grader for essays. grades like an English prof....

She is the best. Classes are based on lecture and simulations and it is really cool to get to know your classmates that way. Lecture is easy because the topics are things we live with or we have studied. She changes your life and your way to look at things. If you have the opportunity to take her, do not miss it.

AMAZING professor. Very intriguing lectures that make you look at the world in different ways. Didn't think I would be comfortable in simulations, but Dr. B does an amazing job at making everyone comfortable, and it was a really good experience. Easiest professor to contact outside of class. Responds in minutes usually.

Tests are online, quizzes are extra credit and you can find the answers easily. One book report on a book you chose at the beginning of the semester from a list of books she provides. Does a simulation where you pick a person and discuss topics the class choses. In class participation is important, and online discussions are easy but annoying.

I never took harder class. It was the the most challenging thing, but i never felt more accomplished after I received an A. You are teaching yourself, you do tons of research but as soon as you really get into it and you stay on the track, you can make it. Participation and talking in the class is crucial. Very inspirational, I would go for it.

I took Prof Buehler online for government and she is amazing! She cares and also makes sure she is very clear with her assignments. She responds quickly to e-mails and has good feedback! I would definitely recommend her, especially if you need to take this class online!

I love her classes we participated a lot she doesnt lecture or use a PowerPoint which I loved. Essays are easy, make sure you do your reading and you will pass. No test, she gives extra credit and final exam is optional.

I took Prof. Buehler for both American Gov. and International Relations and hands down great teacher. Prof. Buehler made both courses very easy, I took both of them online and the work load was not over bearing. Class participation is a big part of your grade but honestly if you keep up with all the assignments, you'll pass.

Professor Buehler knows what she is talking about. She is very respected and respectful towards others and their opinions. She gives good lectures and allows the class to participate which brings the subject to life. She makes the class do simulations and they are a little demanding, but if you try your best and show interest you will do well.

She is one of the few professor at MDC that genuinely cares about her students. Her teaching style is not for everyone but youll get used to it. Just pay attention, come to class and participate and youll get an A.

Although I only took this class because it was a requirement, I discovered that I enjoyed it. Dr. Buehler was very fair and generous with assignments. She responded quickly to emails and genuinely cares about her students well-being! She offers extra credit and her assignments were easy to complete.

Mini-term, so super quick and simple class. Very straight forward, follows the book and doesn't dive too deep into anything. A few short essays that were painless. Generally an overview of US government. Teacher was funny and pleasant over email blasts, but otherwise I had no need to converse with her. You can work ahead in this class.

If you genuinely want to learn and get better this will be a great chance to do so. She will teach you how to have better arguments and opinions based on facts. The grade you receive will reflect your progress. We receive d extra credit try to do all of them if you can. She is really supportive and if you meet her halfway you are set.

She always sends us weekly messages and appears to be very caring. Her assignments are very interesting and she has given us lots of opportunities to fix our grade through adding more discussion board posts and three extra credit assignments. There are also many ways to study for the final. She's great and seems caring.

A lot of discussion board assignments and a book report. Gives good feedback on graded assignments on how to improve for next time. Gave multiple extra credit opportunities throughout semester.

You do most of the work on your own using the textbook. There is a quiz per chapter and a test per module (4 modules), but they are super easy and the questions of the test are the same as the quizzes. The only tough thing about this class was a 5 pages book review worth 20%, but everything else was fairly easy. Responds quickly to emails.

Shes very organized and gives a lot of test and quizzes but they are extremely easy. The midterm is proctored but the final is not. You have to complete some essays but they arent hard as long as you do your work you will pass. However she is a tough grader and does not give an explanation for the grade but other than that I would recommend!

PROFESSOR BUEHLER IS AMAZING! I TOOK HER COURSE(AMERICAN FEDERAL GOVERNMENT, FALL, 2020) AND PASSED WITH AN A+. THE WORKLOAD IS A BIT HEAVY BUT MORE WRITING THAN ANYTHING, HOWEVER, NONE OF IT IS HARD AND PRETTY MUCH DOABLE, REALLY EASY!! Class is an easy A. It is mostly simple busy work, but there is a lot of it. 4 Discussions with 3, 200 word responses each. 3 essays and a ton of quizzes. Quizlet helps a ton for the quizzes. The midterm is also simple and VERY similar to the midterm review. Just follow her instructions and you will get an A.

I am about to receive my AA and Ive seen my fair share of professors at MDC, but Dr. B goes above and beyond all others. I have never had someone who so effectively blends the qualities of being caring, knowledgeable, and a good professor at the same time. A must-have for any poli-sci or international relations majoryou wont regret it.

This professor treats you like an adult and she is super understanding. However, her class is just solo work. You have to read the textbook to pass the quizzes and exams because they're a bit hard. For the discussion boards you have to do research and answer in more than 200 words. Then in class it's just a discussion of current events.

She is a good professor, but there is a lot of work. There is a chapter quiz for each chaoter (15 total), 4 tests, and two big projects. However, the quizzes and tests are not hard if you read the textbook and the projects are definitely doable as well, they are simple. Prof Buehler!!! Was by far the most notable professor I have ever had in my entire college experience. Her simulations are extremely interesting (if you are lucky enough to have a class that participates). I loved attending her classes, she was an amazing lecturer and very understanding. She knows the good students, oh & don't use your phone! :)

This course is straightforward. It included two essays, quizzes, module tests, and four discussion questions (200+ words each post; including three replies to others). She provided two deadline dates and consistently updates you on your progress in her course. If you do the work and don't procrastinate, you should do well.

Our class was small and amazing for the Summer. Tests are open and extremely easy to do. Writing is minimum and simple, no need for extensive works. Participation is difficult: you have to agree with what she says and be aware if your opinion sounds too technical, she prefers something more "id vulgaris opinio est" from her students. Good class tho

Asked friends for best professor at MDC and 3 came out over and over--Frazier, Dr. Buehler and Pomares. Friends didn't just say they were good but EXCEPTIONAL AND COULDN'T STOP TALKING ABOUT THEM.
