Professor Giblin is a new teacher to Valencia this year, but boy is she really helpful! I have to give her props for that and being a new teacher at the same time, b/c I've had my experinces w/ new teachers. She's always willing to help you and her tests are really easy, you just have to study your notes for 10 mins. a day and you'll be golden!

Prof Giblin really made MGF1107 a class I didn't mind going to. This was her first semester teaching the class so I can only assume it was become more challenging as the years go on. I would definitely choose her class again if I needed more math credits. The class was just the right amount of homework and lecture and tests were very fair!

WOW! Wonderful teacher she gives the best most detailed notes you could ever want in a math class. All homework is in my math lab. also you must do all your labs. The last test is take home. The final you need to study for bc its stuff from first day. I am taking her again.

There are 4 test + final=5 tests. The homework is due once a week if you choose to do it(20% of grade). Will replace lowest test score with the final. Gives you notes and will respond to e-mails.

Wonderful teacher. If you dont get math, you need MS.Giblin she gives the best notes and you can always go by her office. 4test + final=5 tests. homework is an option but it can make the diffrence if you pass or fail.

Prof. Giblin wants you to good good in the class and will help you anytime you go by her office. There are 3 projects 24% of grade, 4 homeworks 10%, and tests 66% of grade. If you do homework you will get A 's on the test.

Prof. Giblin Is the teacher you need to take if you want to pass College Algebra. Very simple and easy. She goes over what she wants you to know and that's all she puts on the test. Homework is Mandatory. She allows half a sheet of paper or a note card on all EXAMS. That's def. a PLUS. TAKE HER. I can't stress that enough.

Please ignore the previous comments and ratings. I had Professor Giblin for College Algebra during the summer semester and she was great! Her lectures and notes were crystal clear. She assigned online homework that would prepare you for her tests. She was always willing to help those who struggled. If you did poorly in MAC1105 it's your own fault.

She is a great teacher, always willing to explain and help you understand. The online homework is a must and she counts it towards your final grade. Do the homework and you will pass the test. She gives lots of extra credit. Take her trust me you won't regret it.

Had her for the summer term hybrid class. It was mostly self-taught with MML HW but Ms. Giblin would answer any questions and gave plenty of notes. Responds fast to emails. Let me try to sum it up to you briefly: I took her on-site Tues/Thurs 1PM-215PM course. I really only showed up on test days. I can't stand math (barely got by with a C in College Algebra). My final grade in Prof. Giblin's class is an A. If you need math credits, definitely take this. Great boost for the GPA as well.

Online Course. I hate math and it hates me. This teacher was amazing. She's alot of work, but She has videos, examples, powerpoints, everything you could ask for to clarify concepts and work through examples. The Online program is great and if you get something wrong walks you through it to fix it. HIGHLY Recommend for anyone with math troubles.

I love this lady! Very helpful. There is plenty of work but you can work ahead just don't fall behind. I took her online course and had to pay$90 for the online math book. She gives great notes. You can use a 3x5 note card and graphing calculator during exams. Exams are done at the school, quizzes at home. You can't fail this unless you don't try.

The professor is very tough. Attendance is a huge thing and you get graded every week. It's a TON of work. I understand the material thoroughly now so it was definitely helpful for all the graded work but if you have a full time schedule outside of school I don't recommend taking this teacher. It was incredibly hard to keep up with.

She's very funny professor, and she's very helpful too; however, the way she taught are difficult to understand. I don't like when she arrived class little late. Also, she never give out the paper to study before the test. The good news are she allowed you to write a flashcard(front&back) for test! All you have to do is go to class & pay attention!

Professor Giblin is a good professor. She uses my math lab and that is where it gets difficult. You can have the right answer but you have to input it a certain way, it takes the human grading aspect out of it and leaves no room for error. She loves to gives B's. If you want a B, take her.

She teaches clear and you know what to expect out of the class. not hard just do mymathlab (MML) and study. quizzes and practice hw on MML, and tests in class. Should take notes in class. She allows notes when taking tests! However, she tends to treat students like high schoolers. (Hovers over you while your working etc.) Not too bad of a teacher overall though. Just depends on how you'd feel about the whole high school thing...

This professor gives a lot of homework. However, she gives you PLENTY of time to do it. It's up to you and your pace on how the homeworke will be finished (do not be lazy). The tests/quizzes are exactly on point on what you learned as well. When she teaches, she gives students plenty of ways to finish a problem and take notes on how to do it.

Great teacher for online math class! She gives extra credit for 100% completion of all hw assignments and for attendance. Had 2 exams & final at testing center, the rest are taken at home. She prepares you for everything and grades promptly. Def recommend!

She is very thorough with the information and describes everything in detail. Sometimes she can go fast but if you ask for help she'll gladly help you. There are lots of assignments, though, and an exam every unit, but she gives partial credit on tests (except the final). Everything on the test will be material you've seen before.

I took her MGF1106 class online and its the best math class I have ever taken. She kept up with grading and answered questions really fast. There is a lot of homework but she gives an outline that you can follow Monday-Friday so you can keep up easily. She gives extra homework for doing get 100s on the homework. The second time I have taken this Professor. The first time, I failed. This was my own fault as I didn't take the course as serious as I should have towards the end. The second time, was still difficult but I recommend her 100%. If you do the work, put in your effort, and study, you will pass.

Very nice professor. Replies to your emails the same day. Took her online. Really have to learn the material because the EXAMS ARE ON CAMPUS. Even if you get 100 on all of the hw assignments and chapter tests, if you get a low score on the exams your grade drops from an A to a C and it is almost impossible to get it back to an A. She is an amazing professor! I never learned so much math before. She explains everything thoroughly and gives plenty of tips. She lets you use a page of notes on every tests and had one take home test! I'd recommend going to her office hours she takes the time to explain everything and answer any questions you have. I took this math class online after 8 years of no school. It was rather difficult to teach myself but she has very good material to learn from. As long as you follow her instructions you will pass. The final I was required to show up but it was pretty easy. Study what she tells you. She gives you the proper work. Spend the time and you will do fine

Mrs. Giblin was a very kind teacher. She was very understanding and stuck to her provided syllabus and rules throughout the semester. The one downside is how the final exam is over 45% of your final grade. She doesnt give any extra credit to majorly sway this grade and for someone with text anxiety will struggle. Study study study for that final!

You can get a solid A in her class if you put in the effort. She assigns Online HW, but they aren't difficult. Her test are very similar to the online HW.

Shes really sweet and clearly cares for her students! I am terrible at math and this is a SUPER easy A. Self paced 5 HW to due over 3 weeks and then Test and Quiz due the day after all hw is due. All done on mymath lab and extra 5% if you get a 100 on anything. She has handwritten notes and powerpoints so you are teaching yourself but it is super easy.

In her class, we use mymathlab to complete hw, quizzes, and tests. There is unlimited chances for hw, 2 retakes for quizzes, and only 1 for tests. I took the 10 week course and there are only 3 tests with no more than 21 questions. Every week there are 3-4 chapters with hw and 1 quiz. She does videos for every chapter, really helpful. Take her.

Professor Melissa Carrier is an excellent Algebra instructor. She uses mymathlab which provides an opportunity to learn the product. She provides videos on step-by-step instructions on each assigned topic to further your learning experience. She also allows herself to be available for any questions you may have; she cares. Theres no words to describe how exceptional professor carrier is. I suck at math and I hate every aspect about it. Professor carrier pushed and motivated me but more importantly provided support even when i struggled with personal matters. If youre an adult learner, you need professor carrier.

Today is my final, it doesn't matter if my final class grade is an A or not, the only problem I have is I cannot take Professor Carrier for next math class. The class was 100% online, she tutors 5 times a week so easily accessible, gives positive feedback on your work. You have no reason/excuse to fail as she sets you up to succeed. LOVE HER!

Professor Carrier was really nice her class was easy. Took it in person and she is very lecture heavy so if you are not into that then I suggest you find another professor. Even when doing our tests she grades the work that we do and not give us a wrong answer. 10/10 would recommend!

I'm not a math person, but Professor Carrier made it a lot simpler for me to understand. The concepts for this class were a lot easier to understand than MGF1106 which made studying easier. Her lectures are engaging and challenges you to try and figure things out on your own after learning the basic concepts.

Professor Carrier is amazing I wish I could take all my math classes with her! She does give homework and quizzes on the weekends but you can always work ahead so it helps if you are a FT worker. The hw is very easy it's all in Pearson and as long as you get the hw you'll pass the quizzes and test.

This professor was amazing as she was helpful and quick to answer emails. The class consists of 2-3 homework with 1 chapter quiz each week. At the end of each chapter, there was a test and a chance to get extra credit if you did the homework. Overall, if you do the work it's an easy class. Highly recommend this teacher.

I took 1107 with Professor Carrier face-to-face for 2:45 hours each Monday of the Spring. She uses every minute of the class with a 10-15 minute break in the middle, so you won't be leaving earlier than expected. All content was well-explained, the homework was online and easy, and the tests were all based on the content and homework - no surprises

She's fantastic. I have been out of school for many years so this was a challenge. Participation is mandatory, heavy HW, and test every couple weeks. Grading was very fair! Even though it is a work heavy professor if you actually try you will pass. On top of it she will do her best to help you. She's a really great person and I would recommend.

Melissa is a great professor - she makes math fun and easy to understand. Definitely do the homework and stay on top of the weekly quizzes. Unstuck ai was super helpful for study prep too.

Amazing teacher that actually cares if you pass or not. If you pay attention it's a very easy class. No final exam. One project and one presentation at the end of the course. In our 3-hour class she would give us 15 min break, which was great. Teaches really well, will definitely try to take my other required math class with her.

If you want a straight up teacher that teaches very well def have her as your professor. She's very sweet and wants you to pass she leads you the right way always. Her assignments are all in the textbook Pearson which are semi-easy you can always ask her or keep retrying till you get the grade you want. She had one group project and no final exam.

This professor is amazing! She has very reasonable rules for grading and still does her best to give you more chances for better grades. She gives great feedback - both respectful advice when you don't score full points and nice comments on well-scoring work. The workload is light and everything is so easy to understand.

I would always recommend her for Intermediate Algebra. She is such a sweet teacher, and she explains each lesson well. She gives us tons of resources for help, and whenever you don't understand anything, just let her know. You can contact her outside of class, too. Being in her class was super fun, honestly. But u gotta do yo part and study

Overall, relatively easy. A good amount of homework, but it's not super difficult. The class got easier as it went on because you get into more logical/statistical modules. She's easy to email and will def try to help you. On the couple written/show your work assignments, she doesnt grade harshly and they are very easy. No final, just a project.

She's a nice Professor, I would take her again if I need. I took a while to get used to the way she teach. It's a little different from the other professors. You need to do the hw otherwise you won't learn what she's teaching. One test every other week or project.

TAKEEE HERRR OMGGG shes such a good teacher and very understanding. The way she teaches actually helps you learn. But I recommend not procrastinating because she does have homework (not a lot), but it's easy to get behind. She's very graceful tho! Each exam is exactly like the questions we learn for hw and lecture time. 10/10

Caring professor made sure you understood the material. The homework can be overwhelming if you procrastinate. I recommend keeping up with the homework. Material gets easier throughout the semester as it shifts towards logic and finance nearing the end. Had to miss class a few times, and she summed up the lessons to make sure I stayed caught up.

I am taking Professor Carrier right now (online) and she has been a great professor. Since it's an online course you basically have to teach yourself but that's expected for every online class... Weekly homework consists of Pearson lessons, lab assignments (basically math worksheets), and 4 exams total for the whole semester (Honorlock). Would rec!

Prof Carrier is so nice and attendance is not required but she does SO many assignments. About 12 homework assignments and a test every other week. Had lots going on personally this sem and she gave me multiple extensions. One group project and I think 3 individual projects. I took this class in person
