very helpful..uses powerpoint and hands out typed outlines just come to class listen fill in the outlines, she hands out a study guide for all the tests and even gives you "possible" xtra credit questions they are soo helpful i only read chpt 1&2 were on chpt 7 and im getting a high "A" she is very funny and her class is awesome have ?'s ask her!!

She is an amazing teacher, she's very concerned about trying to help you do well. Tests are really easy if you follow her study guide (that is a necessity) but if you don't study you're not going to just know the material and you won't do well.

She really wants you to do well and offers tons of extra credit!! You have quizes and she drops the lowest quiz score! Her tests are easy just use the study guide! The chapters in the book are kinda long but if you read what she tells you too you'll be fine!! Definately take Melissa! She makes it very easy to get an A just work hard!

You must read the material if you plan on doing well, if you just take notes it's not going to help you at all. Do the study guide & actually study it & you'll do great on the tests. She explains things really well & will explain it over & over until you get it.

Melissa is a fantastic teacher. She wants you to pass and will do everything in her power to help. Read the chapters, take good notes and use the study guide and you will pass this class. It is not always easy, but Melissa gives very clear instructions of what you need to know and as long as you pay attention, you will do great.

Melissa Commisso is an AMAZING professor! I took her class in the Fall session of 2009. I had no previous interest in the class, but she did such an impressive job making all the notes on powerpoints and showing experiments on YouTube that it was easy to follow and really learned a lot! She even found a way to make the boring lessons interesting!

She is a good teacher, easy to follow and good study guides. I almost bombed the class but that was all because I did not go off of what she gave me to study with. If you follow and study with what she gives you, you'll do just fine, fun class over all too!

Wonderful professor. She isn't the easiest, but if you read the assigned textbook chapters and take notes you'll do well in the class. Exams and quizzes aren't hard, and the available extra credit can help you make up a bad one. I only had to write two papers which were short and easy to write.

I took her online class and she is very, very helpful. She does her best to turn in your graded homework within a few days. If you have questions she's more than happy to help. The midterm and Final are LONG. Takes about 2.5 hours each, however she lets you bring in notes. Study and take notes, you'll do fine. I got a B+

Melissa is a great teacher, she is really nice and makes class interesting and fun. But she only grades you on tests and her tests are long and hard! If you struggle with tests like me do not take her class! I had to withdrawl it because of two bad tests grades and I would study forever!

You are allowed 7 pgs of handwritten notes when you take the midterm and the final. Just use the study guide and there is no reason you should not get 90%+ on the tests.

Prof. Commisso was utterly fantastic! She really works with you to make sure you understand the topic, and she knows what she is talking about! Go to class, do the study guides, and you're in for an A. You gotta work for it, but not insanely and she gives lots of helpful little ways to remember what you will be tested on!

She is such a great teacher! We went through the whole book (which I wouldn't expect from half the teachers) and there were some easy extra credit opportunities. Lecture is the major priority in the class, as well as quizzes and tests, of course. On occasion we'll do some group work. Mrs. (Dr.) Commisso is an excellent teacher.

5 Multiple choice exams, 7 very short quizzes that are multiple choice or short answer. Only 1 paper 3-4 pages. Easy class as long as you study for the exams that cover a lot of different material.

Professor Commisso is very, very detailed in providing her tasks and clearly will tell you her expectations. It is better to follow each one of her requirements in order to pass this class. She provides tons of additional info, like videos, articles, different links. A lot to read, but she gives pretty awesome extra credit, which will help a lot.

Commisso is by far one of the greatest teachers I have ever had. Your success matters to her. She does everything she can to make sure you'll do well in her class. Assignments are fairly easy, but you will still learn a lot in this class. She is very approachable and funny. I would highly recommend taking her.

I love her! We took our first test a few weeks ago and I only made small, silly mistakes. She teaches off a power point and the vast majority of it is in the book, but she clarifies things with examples, stories, and videos. She drops low quiz and exam grades, she's the most lenient college teacher I know. Highly recommend. Very friendly + clear.

I took her class online, and if I ever had a question about something, I would email her and she would always respond with a clear answer.

As long as you do the reading and Eagle reading comp quizzes, it should be pretty easy to get a good grade in the class. Listen to her when she says to "study for the tests". You don't have to stare at your book and notes for three hours but at least 30 minutes of review can ensure you a high test grade. If you put in the work, you get the grade.

Seems to really care about students doing well. For the online course she always responded to questions within 24 hours and anyone was getting close to a deadline on a quiz she would email to let us know we only had a few hours left to take the quiz. First time I ever got an A in a class!

Dr. Commisso is one of my favorite professors I've had at RVC. I did not like psychology until I took her class. Extra credit opportunities are easy and can save your grade. Tests aren't hard IF AND ONLY IF you study. She gives you study guides that help a lot. Very encouraging and offers great advice in succeeding in the class and in life.

Dr. Commisso was one of my favorite teachers that I have ever had. She made Psy interesting. You don't check the clock when you are in her class. She is very easy to talk to about assignments and always responds practically right away whenever I had a question. I wish I could take her for all my psy classes!

Dr. Commisso is an excellent choice for psychology class. Her exams are moderate, and she explains what she is lecturing very well. There are extra credit opportunities that are pretty easy. Make sure to study for her exams, and READ THE BOOK. Her class is a worthwhile learning experience which, for me, made psychology much more interesting.

I took Commisso's psychology class my very first semester. I already had an interest in psychology but even more so now after taking her class. She genuinely cares about your grade if you do and are willing to put that effort in as well. I recommend her to anyone.. she does a great job explaining certain things and the class in general was simple.

Dr. Commisso was a great Psychology teacher! I was absolutely dreading taking psych but she made it easy to enjoy! Tries to find ways to connect terms to real world events! She really cares about her students and is willing g to help you if you ask! 4 test, 6 quizzes (drop lowest one), and a paper! Wish she could teach ever one of my classes!!

She's a nice professor and her class was pretty easy overall. Obviously the subject may be hard for some, but there are only a few homework assignments, some quizes and 4 big tests. As long as you read and listen to her lectures for each week, then you should do well. She makes it easy on you, but you can still learn a lot.

She's a great teacher who is very caring for her students. I would not skip her class because her lectures are not posted online so you do not get her notes/examples that she says in class. You HAVE to read because she does not go everything in class that is on the test/quizzes. She does let you use written notes on the quizzes.

Lots of reading must be done in order to pass the course, but she is very caring and gives great feedback for papers, discussions, and exams.

Professor Commisso is easily my favorite professor on campus. She makes psychology super interesting and she is really fair on the questions she gives on tests and quizzes, everything is off of the study guide. She gives super interesting lectures and really makes sure her students are understanding the material. Overall, really nice person too.

She did record lectures for an online class, AWESOME! She gave a study guide for every chapter and they were extremely helpful for the tests and quizzes.

Really loved this class overall. I took this course online during covid-19 and Professor commisso gave around 1-2 assignments/quizzes/exams/etc per week. She only has you write one paper like 1-2 pages long for this class which was great! Overall this class was pretty easy as long as you read the material and take notes it should be an easy a.

I liked this clas overall. There were many online materials that were helpful (powerpoints, lectures, textbook). We mainly did small assignments and quizzes, had 1 paper and a few bigger exams. I do wish the online class had a bit more structure, the way it was set up confused me at first. But overall I enjoyed the class and would have her again.
