Melissa was one of the best professors I?ve had the pleasure of knowing. This teacher is awesome, explains material in great detail. Melissa cares a lot about her students and is more than willing to help. I would highly recommend her.

Mrs. Franklin is an awesome teacher. She tries to expain the material as best as possible. Eventhough Anatomy and Physiology material is very difficult she tried to make it as easy as possible. She gives easy homework and there is enough room for extra credit! Shes one of the best instructors i have had so far!

Wow..What an amazing teacher..She is the best CNM and UNM have to offer. She cares about all her students and makes it easy to pass with an A or B if you pay attention.

I love her. I have had her for three anatomy classes. She cares deeply that her students do well and goes over things a million times if she has to to make sure you do well. She gives extra credit to help u get a good grade. She puts confidence into her students that they can do anatomy and learn!

Had Dr. Franklin for A&P I. She is GREAT! Learned so much from her. She does expect you to study and understand the material. If you do, you will be rewarded. Attendance is mandatory, so YOU NEED TO AT LEAST SHOW UP! If you don't, well, shame on you. Your grade will suffer. Show up, pay attention, and all will be good.

This instructor "ROCKS"! She is very helpful and wants her students to learn. You can get an "A" in her class as long as you show up to class and study your material you will do awesome. If you ever need to meet with her, she available for you. Her grading system comes together by midterm and towards end of term. If you have a question just ask....

Dr. Franklin is a soft spoken instructor. She goes the extra mile for everyone. The exams are online the final is in class. The information is VERY challenging apparently everything has an enzyme, receptor or secretes something. I would recommend her to ALL BIOLOGY students.

Dr. Franklin is by far the best science teacher I've taken at CNM. She is great at explaining topics and answers your questions without hesitations. She is warming and has always made me feel comfortable when asking questions.! I am excited she is teaching Patho I and hope to take Patho II with her! She has made taking science classes a joy!

Dr. Franklin is absolutely amazing. She truly cares about her students passing and will do whatever she can to help you get there. I've had her for a few different science classes and she really knows her stuff. I distinctly remember in AP I Lab her saying, "Let the jargon work for you". If she's available for a class you need - take her!

She gave a lot of extra credit. Her lecture contained everything you needed to know for tests and quizzes. If you have a question she will make sure to answer it till you understand. I really enjoyed her class. You do need to show up cause you could miss important info for quizzes and tests. I would take her class again.

Melissa is very nice. She knows her material and wants everyone to do well in her class. However, she was very disorganized, constant due date changes, online homework malfunctions, and grading errors. On all tests, 10% or more of the questions would be marked incorrectly for right answers. She compensated by giving a lot of extra credit.

I took her class as a prerequisite, at first she was confusing and it was hard to get the hang of things. But she turned out to be an amazing teacher. She is always willing to help you if you have questions. Definitely take her class if you get a chance. Try to take the lecture and lab together she teaches both.

Melissa was such an enjoyable professor to have. I LOVED Microbiology lab. It was super fun, but be prepared to pay attention and remember things used in lab. There is also a paper at the end of the term for final and it was super easy! I would take this lab over and over if i could! The final is the funnest project! Loved her and highly recommend!

This instructor is amazingly caring, she respects all students. She makes sure everyone is following through and will not take points off for turning in late work. She is very open to questions and constantly invites student to take advantage of office hours. Work load was not heavy and assignment where very clear. Without doubt, I recomend her.

BIO 1410: Dr. Franklin is a great teacher. All the comments are spot on. She records her lectures and posts them online so you can download them. She also posts her powerpoint online. Gives lots of homework and extra credit and it really helps to understand the complexities of biology. Never liked biology but got an A.

She is a very good teacher. Really makes sure you fully understand the data. Gives a very clear outline of what you need to study. Gives credit for doing your homework, in-class quizzes, and attending her mindfulness classes. She is very soft spoken. Great Teacher.

Very caring teacher; tries to make sure everyone understands the topics. She is available outside of class for extra help, as well. She offers lots of extra credit opportunity; so even though she teaches sometimes difficult subjects (like A&P, which I had her for), you should have no trouble achieving an A in her class with a bit of effort.

Lecture heavy in power points, gives audio recordings of lectures. She is super awesome, understanding and has the sweetest personality. Gives lots of 'excellence credit' opportunity has tests online using respondus lockdown and quizzes in class. I purchased the textbook but didn't use it, referred to her power points mostly.

Melissa has to be one of my favorite professors at CNM. She makes herself very available outside of class and offers so much extra credit which is easy, open throughout the semester, and helps you understand the current topics discussed in the course. The exams aren't too bad, she is very organized, prepares you with power points, book not needed.

Dr. Franklin's microbiology class is very straightforward. She quizzes and tests only on material presented in her PP. She allows TONS of extra credit, you'd have to be lazy and an idiot to fail this class. I did so well with the extra credit my final grade was manadaroty but wasn't needed.

Lots of extra credit. Only tested on material presented in her PP which she posts online. Few mandatory assignments, quizes. Exams are easy if you understand the material, she allows 1/4 Pt make up for missed exam questions. Straight forward, kind.

By far one of the best teachers for Science classes. She understands that microbio and A&P can be tough subjects so she gives lots of extra credit to help out, she brought real life cases of diseases and Ted talks into class lectures, is super helpful, gives good feedback and her exams are 50Q's + extra credit Q's , just study & its an easy A!

She is infinitely smart. Also infinitely scattered. If you need structure from your professors, Dr. Franklin will not provide it. But shes an easy A. Do the extra credit. It wont help on her tests, but lots of points! Study her ppts exclusively for tests, use Other resources to fill in things you dont understand from ppt with YouTube / google.

Dr. Franklin is crazy smart but so unorganized and all over the place with assignments. Exams are online with respondus lockdown and she gives so much extra credit its overwhelming. Easy A if you just do the EC and keep up on the exams. Didnt use the text book.

Melissa is by far one of the best teachers I've taken. She's extremely caring and understanding of life situations. She draws things out on the board and helps understand concepts that would be otherwise confusing. VERYYYY interesting lectures! Lots of extra credit opportunities! Would def recommend!

I'm working on my third degree, and Dr. Franklin was probably, if not the best professor I've ever had, or one of the top! She's understanding, compassionate, and very intelligent about her field. She's one of those teachers that truly want her students to succeed! Do the work, it's a tough class, but I'd take her again and again, hands down.

Don't take this class assuming you can screw around and pass. She doesn't care when homework is submitted so long as it's submitted before finals BUT the homework is really helpful for her tests. If you need a professor who sets deadlines and whatnot... run very very far away. Other than that listen to her lectures because she knows her stuff.

One of the best professors I had. She is very caring and wants all her students to do well and succeed in their field. Dr. Franklin gives you a lot of well resourced material so you will be better equipped not just for this class but in the medical field. Wish she taught in the nursing program because she really knows her stuff.

Go to class. You'll get extra credit for attendance. Lots of extra credit points available the whole semester. Don't need a book. Provided powerpoints are all you need. All homework needs to be submitted at least one week before the final.

Dr. Franklin has a unique approach to teaching. Her due dates are not really strict. But if you put everything off, it will be very difficult to catch up as a lot of her assignments (including extra credit) can be very lengthy and time consuming. So, best to do them weekly instead of procrastinating. Study powerpoints, you will see it on the exams.

I also took her for BIO2710. She provides A LOT of extra credit. Her lectures are heavy. The way she words things is confusing. There are no due dates for homeworks. You have one week to take each exam. Overall, she was okay, just a little disorganized.

I took Dr. Franklin for BIO 1010 intersession this semester. I was worried about the difficulty, and had never taken an intersession before, but she was awesome! The extra credit is fun to do and creative. She has you take the homework quizzes 5 times, so it made the tests a lot easier. She gives great feedback on the discussion posts as well!

Definitely cares about your progress and grades. Assignments will be due before the test, but that's just to make sure you go over your material before the exam and to commit it to memory. Overall, an innovative way of teaching but definitely one of the best professors I've had in this field thus far. Wants you to learn instead of always testing.

She cares a lot on whether or not you are learning the material. She assigns some vague homework assignments and does not follow a course schedule (random due dates). However, try to really work on those homework assignments and the NUMEROUS amounts of extra credit she gives out; They really helped me learn the material.

Dr. Franklin was very helpful outside of class. She gave 5% extra credit, and made concepts easier to understand, so that we didn't need to memorize facts as much. She gives online exams so you can take them at home. The only thing I did not like was her syllabus. I felt that the grading was unclear.

Professor Franklin is caring and compassionate! She is aware students have a life outside of class and makes the course manageable. She does not post grades till the end of the term. However if you do the work that is required you know where you stand in the class she does not make test/exams tricky its either you know it or you do not!

Dr. Franklin is a great professor for Biology, you can tell she really wants her students to succeed. She is willing to meet with you if you are stuggling and will give you opportunities to excel when possible. I highly recommend this professor if you truly wish to gain an understanding of Microbiology.

Dr. Franklin is an AMAZING professor, that cares about your education and your wellbeing. She offers tons of extra credit to give you an opportunity to bring up your grade and/or use them to make up points for a missed assignment. Being in her class you feel comfortable to ask questions. Its difficult to get a hold of her at times and you have to calculate your own grade but other than that her course was relatively easy. She does not accept late work but does offers tons of extra credit which really helped.

Dr. Franklin truly cares about her students learning the material. She is amazingly smart. There is a lot of homework but it all helps to remember the material in interesting ways other than the usual study techniques. Deadlines are flexible. Cons are she tends to get sidetrack sometimes and can be disorganized. I would take Dr Franklin again!

Ms. Franklin is a very caring teacher. Shes very good at teaching her lectures and wants you to LEARN not just regurgitate information. I would highly recommend her!! She makes A and P easy!! And thats coming from someone who has ADHD and dyslexia!

She was thoughtful at times and was lenient when it came to exam dates. If there were to be an emergency, she is able to extend the exam due date for that individual. Exams were online, proctored. A lot of assignments and quizzes are online and can be tough if you do not have internet or a computer at home. They will consume a lot of your time.

I think Dr. Frranklin is a great. The class can feel a bit disorganized and she doesn't always respond to emails but she is very flexible. I like the way she sets her quizzes. She would stay after zoom meeting to let students who have concerns or simply nervous to just talk or vent to her. She treats us with respect, supportive and encouraging.

Dr. Franklin is by far the best professor I have ever had at CNM. She really wants to see her students succeed. She gives a lot of work, but is flexible with due dates. Also, lectures are all very informative to the topic. I wish she taught every subject! Her teaching style is unique. Wish I had taken a class with her sooner.

She does not have strict due dates at all, as long as everything is in by the end of the semester you are fine. She is very helpful and understanding and will help you get through the class. She gives extra credit and multiple attempts on quizzes. Of course the class is super hard, its pathophysiology not an art class, but as a professor she is not

Dr. Franklin is amazing. She is a very helpful instructor. She is always available for students, offers tons of extra credit. Quizzes and Exam's can be a little difficult, so study the material! But A&P II is hard and she makes it easier to understand. I have taken 2 classes now with her, and will keep choosing her in the future.

Franklin was an amazing professor for patho 1. Everything is PowerPoint-based and the exams are based solely on the slides. It was a little difficult but Franklin was always willing to help out in any way she could. She is very attentive and focus on her class and makes it fun. I recommend her for patho 1 and 2.

She is a great proffesor, always willing to help. The due dates are a little unorganized but it doesn't mean you wont learn anything. I learned a lot in her course and was able to get help outside of class whenever I needed. Would highly recommend her course it made Patho II easier to understand.

Franklin is wonderful. She is extremely smart and works hard to make learning fun. As long as you do homework and excellence credit you will do well. She does have a lot of technology challenges so be prepared to not know your grade or due dates but if you can try to not stress about that she is 100% worth it. I wish I could take more with her.

She is such a sweet woman. I felt so bad whenever I would turn in late work. All she does is praise you. Dr. Franklin wants the best for each of her student. She always apologize for not being clear and she accepts that she has mistakes. I would take her class any day over other teachers.

Dr. Franklin is a lovely woman, very understanding, and really tries to make sure students understand the material. My only real complaint was having to turn in study guides every week. It was very time-consuming, and I would prefer to decide for myself how to learn the material. Personally, my learning style doesn't involve rewriting everything.

Melissa is an amazing instructor! This class was hard, its pathophysiology though, so you are learning the body in the cellular and molecular way of how it works. Weekly study guides, quizzes every other week, & 4 total exams. Her study guides are done on your own terms so put in the info you don't know well and put the stuff you do know separate.
