I am terrible at math, but this is a great teacher. I love that she does not make things more complicated than they need to be. You will have to be motivated to get help on things that are not covered in class, but she is really smart and clear. Plus she makes her students laugh.

Ms. Gonzalez is an excellent instructor. As someone that has always struggled with basic concepts and understanding, the class felt easy with some extra effort on my part. Do ALL the homework, in MAT courses she grades on completion not correctness, and it'll help boost your grade. Also use the success center! It'll help reinforce the lecture info.

I love miss Gonzalez-lam 3 she is clear when explains a problem. even if its a 8 week-class she wil go slow so everyone who doesnt know could underderstand the material. shes hilarious, very intimidating at first but as soon as you get to know her and her class teaching style you would love her.

Growing up with ADD, math can be a big struggle and has been my whole life. Melissa's great at explaining each problem in a way that's very understandable and makes math interesting. She's very respectful, accessible for any questions, and she's very empathetic of her students. If you want The BEST math teacher in Tampa, go see this woman.

Best math teacher Ive ever had! She explains the material very clear, and will not move on until everyone understands it. Theres a lot of homework, but is worth it. The reviews are exactly like the test. Just show up to class, pay attention, do the homework, and do the reviews as practice tests. Lastly, if you dont know ASK! Easy A.

She was the only math teacher I've ever had that helped me contain an A the whole semester. Very easy as long as you show up to class and do the homework. Test reviews have questions that sometimes make it to the test. Overall easy A.

OMG professor Gonzalez is the BEST hands down. I took her for math 0018 and 0028 and passed both classes, and trust me math has always been a difficult subject for me. I found College Algebra to be the most difficult class I have taken yet. I honestly only did as well as I did because of this professor. There is a lot of homework with this class, but it is almost a good thing since it really helps improve your grade if you do it all. I would recommend her to those who suck at math.

she is sassy funny tells her experiences has a sense of humor. She teaches by taking notes if you want to(highly recommended). BEWARE if you're not going to put in the effort to study you wont pass. Took the class online. She is nice and responses quickly to you . Basically you just read & watch video presentations on my math lab and complete the home work assignments. The homework is pretty easy to get an A on. Kind of fast moving- some weeks your doing 3-4 sections of a chapter at a time. The tests and quizzes are hard, but you get 90 mins.

She is an awesome instructor! College Algebra isn't my favorite class . You will not pass if you don't do your homework but she made this class very easy to navigate. Also, it's very clear that she cares about her students. She wrote me an AMAZING letter of recommendation that blew me away. Had her twice and loved her.

Took online for College Algebra MAC1105 Don't need a hardcopy of the textbook. Class is taught using pearson mymathlab Class is pretty fast paced. Covering about 2 sections a week About 2 homework assignments a week , 1 quiz biweekly and 1 test a month Each quiz you have three attempts and it uses your highest score

There is only homework on Tuesdays and Thursday, tests a quizzes are on Fridays (not every week). I was going to get a C because I forgot to fully complete an assignment and the system gave me a 0, but Ms. Gonzalez Lam gave me partial credit to make sure I had a B. She is so understanding and this class is great!

You arent bad at math, you just had teachers who were bad at teaching you math!- Gonzalez Lam. She is absolutely amazing, has made me understand math at its core and unlike any other teacher ever, she gives you her methods and the standard methods and lets you choose which youre more comfortable with. Math is her passion and her Major.

Professor Gonzalez-Lam is a pretty solid choice for a math professor. I took her summer course and I found it to be pretty easy, with an average of 4-5 assignments a week. She gave us an optional final exam that would replace your lowest test score. However, she will not round your grade. The closest you'll get to extra credit is the final.

I really struggled as I just got into doing a full-time college schedule. I had a hard time meeting deadlines, but Professor Gonzalez-Lam was so understanding and easy to work with. All homework can be made up with up to a 95% no matter how late, and i sent her a quick email asking to makeup an assignment, and she let me make up ALL of them! 10/10

Professor Melissa is very easy to work with, there is multiple times where I made a mistake by accident on the test like not using () or graphing by accident and I messaged she went over the test and fixed my mistakes. Accepts late work -3% and you can take quizzes 3 times

I love this professor; she makes sure you understand the material. Sadly, there are lots of homework! The tests (6) are easy if you pay attention and do the review, she also gives extra credit too. There are some group assignments, but she helps you with them. You can definitely pass this class if you pay attention and come to class.

She is an amazing professor and really gives good advice about passing the class. You must pay attention and ask questions because it is a lot of info to take in. The homework is a lot but if you do some everyday its not too bad also go to tutoring it's a way to earn extra credit points if you go 16 times during the whole semester.

SHES AWSOME, she really knows her stuff, if you're struggling she is willing to tutor you for extra credit. her test are hard bcs its not multipliable choice but if your in class and you do the class assignments you should be good. very funny, I'm low in iron so I get sleepy fast but I have never slept in any of her classes.100/10.
